Motorcycle has developed a slip in 1st and in 2nd gear.i went to yamaha at about 7500 miles and complained.they tried to say i was too rough on the bike.both gears about 8500 rpm jumps to 8750 rpm and catches again and then at about 9500 it slips to 9750-10000 rpm.initially, i thought the problem was simply not enough tension on the clutch so i adjusted the cable.finally, i convinced another business with a rear-wheel dyno to load it up and clearly saw the instant jumps i had been complaining about.yamaha still denies any problems.oddly enough, another cycle repair shop commented to me they were surprised i managed to keep the rear tire (very soft) on the bike to 11,250 miles when most get replaced at roughly 9000.guess i'm too tough on it.
