When makingu-turns, left or right turns at intersections in traffic or just matching speed to the traffic flow, there is an extended lag in throttle response after backing off for a second or two then re-accelerating. In turns, a motorcycle's speed and radius of turn must be matched or the bike falls over if the throttle doesn't respond. In straight traffic, if a vehicle in front slows for a turn or whatever reason, then clears the road or speeds up, there is the chance the vehicle behind will rear- end me if i can't accelerate.yamaha knows this problem exists in this model motorcycle, the dealer that sold me the bike knows this problem exists in this model motorcycle, a dealer in panama city, florida knows this problem exists but nobody will fix it and it is definitely a hazard.the bike must be in motion on city streets or highways going straight or turning. I cannot date when it happens because it has been happening and i have been bitching since i bought it new over three years ago.the dealer tells me that they can put a device on it that will greatly improve the response but may not fix it completely for $650.00 or so but i don't believe i should have to pay to have a manufacturing fault fixed.
