Yamaha majesty yp400 scooter: low-speed stalling.my scooter now has 800 miles on it and it has stalled seven times at low speeds.typical event leading up to failure: nothing special except the problem occurs at very low speed, ie under 10 mph.a majesty user's web site (www.majestyusa.com) indicates via poll that 65% of users have the low-speed stalling problem.the problem is inherently dangerous as the scooter stalls at low speed, as when slowing at a red light and then re-accelerating to proceed.the stall leaves the driver without power in traffic.yamaha hasn't acknowledged the problem.
I have a 2006 yamaha majesty motor scooter.twice in the morning when i was practicing low speed riding the bike stalled and needed to be restarted.the web site majestyusa.com offered reports of riders who experienced similar problems.we are concerned that this stalling problem could have some serious consequences when stopped in traffic.the motor scooter has an automatic transmission, which works fine except for when it stalls at low speeds and when idling.in my case, the stalling occurred during two low speed maneuvers.
