Exhaust heat shield inadequate causing floor to get very hot on passenger side.nlm

Parking gear and emergency braking system failed in chevy motor home, causing camper to roll and crash on 2 different occasions.1st crash occurred on 7/1/06 causing property damage to another passenger car. Report was filed with nhtsa for this accident.immediately after accident i checked the parking gear and no parking gear, and no emergency park, as in this model both are tied together.manually placing foot on brake pedal is the only way to keep vehicle from rolling.camper was serviced by gm authorized service dealer in 8/06.second accident occurred in 7/08 when exact same parking gear/emergency brake system failed with camper rolling into a garage causing damage to camper and garage.police report taken and insurance claim made.again no personal injuries occurred.it should be noted that this second accident occurred after complete servicing of parking gear and emergency brake by a gm dealership.second accident occurred after spending 1,978.94 at a gm authorized dealer. This is the second complaint for same problem after repair.1st complaint also filed with gm through esis - gm's 3rd party administrator.gm/esis did not cover any costs of 1st accident.nationwide insurance paid for other victims damaged car.gm did not cover camper repairs to braking system stating that the braking system was not properly maintained. I do not understand what the parking gear failing has to do with the braking system other then the emergency brake is tied to the parking gear. Gm has had product recalls on this problem.gm/esis file # for 1st accident is 513562.we are extremely lucky that no personal injuries have occurred do to these 2 accidents, as the motor home is a very large one at 35 foot long, and the parking gear and emergency brake fail without warning causing the camper to roll.at this point i am considering suing gm as this is a very serious problem, that gm does not want to take any responsibility for.

While driving on a dirt road steering column disconnected.a bolt apparently fell out of steering wheel. Location of problem is under dash of vehicle. Contacted ford, ford told consumer to take vehicle to any dealer.when the bolt fell out, the driver completely lost control of the vehicle. The clinch bolt was missing from the steering assembly and was possibly not installed properly at the factory.

Vehicle has alignment problem.yh

Michelin tubless radial x tires (7.50r16x) have been rotated 4 times, now consumer was told one of the tires is cracking in the area around and closest to the rim.

While 2 hours into a trip through the california desert, in 110 f. Heat, the inside right, rear dual tire delaminated and blew out.this caused damage to the propane system, mud flap and bracket, rear bumper and sheet metal undercarriage of the motorhome.although these tires were not on the recall list, i feel this tire dissintegrated under similar circumstances as the recalled ones and should be included in the mandatory recall.if this tire would have been on the front of the vehicle when it let go, controlling the motorhome would have been very difficult and two more fatalities could have resulted.i am very uncomfortable with these tires on my motorhome and am planning to replace the remaining 6 ( including spare) with a different brand.my family's lives are too valuable.i hope you can either convince or force firestone to recall these tires, as well. We have now had 2 incidents with tire separation.i sent the first tire to firestone along with their form so we can them take care of the damage done with the first problem.in mid july firestones paralegal sent me a letter saying that the tire was not defective.a week and 1/2 ago i had a sescond tire separation.neither tire was a blow out.the tread just separated.i have the 2nd tire of which it is mostly together except for the 8" portion that started to come apart.i am not very happy with firestone to say the least.we are definately changing all tires but firestone needs to reimburse us for the damage & replacement tires.i plan to sue firestone if no action is taken by them.their lack of addressing the problem is a shame.fortuanately no one has been hurt- just a lot of frustration.
