The gm p30 automatic parking brake on my 1994 rv failed while i was driving down the road causing me to a full stop in the travel lane. The rv would not move. The emergency brake in the drive shaft just went on and will not shut off. I have read this is not uncommon to this type of unit. My rv has less that 40,000 original miles on it.gm did a recall on only one company's units but left the rest of us out in the cold with an largely un repairable situation.

Dt*:the contact owns a 1994 winnebago vectra, and stated the spring alignment was off because the mounting holes for the springs were drilled in the wrong place.this caused the axle to be off by half an inch on the rear passenger side and the rear end stuck out a foot to the right.this caused two blowouts and rim damage.also, this caused the vehicle to strike a parked vehicle while making a turn.there was minor damage to the vehicle, but no police report taken.the vehicle was taken to the manufacturer of the frame and new slots were drilled and the axle was moved up.this has repaired the problem.

I own 1993 winnebago vectra and it had a recall on the front axle. We took a long trip this last summer and had an incident on the rv.the vehicle was totally out of control at speeds over 40 mph when it was windy top speed was around 30mph vehice was totaly out of control and i considered it dangerous.i lost control twice and ran off the road.i took it in for repairs and was informed thatthe vehicle had a recall and was asked to contact the dealer . I contacted winnebago and they will not honor the recall they claim my vehicle is past due.they claim that recalls are only good for 10 years.my vehicle is still on the road and is running with a bad recalled part that i feel needs to dbe fixed by winnebago.
