The contact owns a 2000 winnebago brave se rv. The contact stated while driving 40 mph, he realized that the brakes were inoperable.the contact assumed that the failure was caused by a lack of brake fluid. Thecontact was able to regain braking power after several minutes.the vehicle was taken to the dealer where they stated that the brake system would need replacing because it had overheated and seized. The manufacturer was contacted but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 260,000 and the current 600,800.

Consumer states problems with brakes *tgwthe consumer stated both rear wheels were smoking and the brakes were somewhat non-existent.the consumer allowed the brakes to cool off so he could proceed to a nearby camp site. The consumer took the rv to a repair shop. Upon inspection, it was determined the rear brakes were dragging and suffered severe heat damage, which required the replacement of both calipers and pads, plus the turning of the rotors.approximately a year and a half later, when the consumer had to apply the brake in a more aggressive manner, the left front of the rv seemed to be dragging and pulling to the left.the consumer pulled over and called a towing service. The consumer stated he could smell the brakes. After the rv was hooked up to the tow truck, he observed a puddle of brake fluid by the left front wheel. The abs sensor melted and needs to be replaced.
