Driving a w22 chassis went thru the mountains in arizona and when arriving at the camp site office and driving to the site down a hill brake pedal went to the floor. Pumped the pedal and the brake pedal came up and stopped the motorhome. When the motor engine is off and stepping on the brake pedal a motor runs and the pedal goes almost to the floor.

Consumer states that bolts securing the steering shaft right angle drive were missing 2 nuts that secure the drive to the chassis frame on 2008 winnebago adventurer lt.*njthe consumer believed that the right angle gear box was moved during installation of the coach onto the chassis because marks on the paint of the extension frame rails indicated that the missing nuts were in place at one time.

This relates to the malfunction of the cruise control on a 2008 winnebago adventurer 35a on a workhorse chassis in a way that could have caused serious injury or death.on november 30,2008, i was traveling on interstate 10 in alabama with the cruise control set at 65.ahead of me in my lane was a stopped car.there was traffic in the left lane so i couldn't move over.i hit the brake and the cruise control did not disengage.i could hear the brakes against the wheels, but the vehicle did not slow.i pumped the brakes and still the cruise control did not disengage.i hit the brakes harder and then the cruise control released and the vehicle started to slow.by then i was too close to the stopped car, and had to quickly drive on to the shoulder and pass the car on the right.i barely missed it, and was traveling at about 45 mph when i went by on the shoulder.if there had been insufficient shoulder i would have rear-ended the vehicle with the motor home.the cruise control is disabled and won't turn on.apparently forcing it off by hard braking must have blown a fuse or triggered some backup disengagement device or switch.i will be taking the motor home to an authorized workhorse service center to have the cruise control repaired.

The windshield wipers have been defective on this vehicle since its purchase.when driving at interstate speeds 50-65 mph the driver's side wiper over travels and becomes lodged on the driver's side windshield pillar post.wipers then lock up and become useless.after a period of time they will dislodge and return to their closed position.this has happened prior to my taking delivery (repair made by selling dealer prior to my accepting delivery)in may of 2009, while traveling in rain in may 2009 on i-85 in south carolina (warranty repair by dealer in savanna, ga,who replaced the wiper motor. Again on the return trip may 2009 from savanna, ga(after motor replacement) taken for warranty repair back to the selling dealer.the vehicle is now in for the fourth repair on the same issue.

Driving vehicle in the rain and the two windshield wipers stopped working.they are linked together by a linkage bar.initially i stopped the rv and moved the driver side windshield wiper back onto the windshield as it had pushed over beyond the window.i turned it on and within a few minutes it did it again.i made sure everything was tight on the connections outside.i tried it again and within a few minutes the driver wiper went 270 degrees pointing down and sitting on the front of the rv and not on the window.since they are linked the one on the passenger side also stopped working.this unit was made in december 2007.there was a recall on ones made prior to july 2007.my experience indicates that the problem exists in the same model year after july 2007.this is a hazard when trying to drive in rain.

2008 adventurer 38t with defective windshield wipers. Customer stated while driving 40 mph the windshield wiper got stuck and wood not work. Consumer also said it lets water in on the driver door armrest with all the electrical functions.the technician welded an extension on the wiper arm, however the consumer did not have a proper wipe pattern. The consumer stated soon after, the blades stuck halfway across the window because the extended arm was hitting the cowling.
