Recall service for norcold refrigerator installed in 2005 winnebago adventurer motorhome.recall notice received nov. 10. 2010 from norcold.i called my service/dealer to get it repaired.today they informed me the part would not be available until the first week of january, 2011. I called norcold and was told the parts were on back order and would be shipped about dec. 13th.i feel this is completely wrong that i have to wait so long to get something repaired that they sold as being ok.now they say it could cause a fire.we have been using this for over five years and they are just now telling us it is dangerous?also, we have reservations to go to florida that were made long before we got the recall.i called immediately to get it repaired and it is now going to be two or three months before i can use the refrig and that means i can't use the motorhome to go to florida and stay fgor the winter.why has this been allowed to drag out so long and why can't repairs be done in a more timely fashion?
2005 winnebago adventurer model 35a developed a problem with the burner staying lit.***no answer required***. *mrthe burner for the hot water heater would not stay lit.when the tank wa lit the burner remained on until the consumer closed the outside compartment door.at that time the consumer could hear the flame smother out.the tank would light again for a short period of time then go out again. The a/c pulls 22-24 amps of but the unit is on equipped for only 30 amp service which does not allow for the use of other appliances without putting shutting down compressor 2 and putting the fan on low.the consumer feels that the unit should have 50 amp service to accommodate the features furnished.

2005 winnebago adventurer. Consumer states that the norcold refrigerator in his motorhome has gone out twice and he paid to have it fixed. He phoned norcold and was told they would reimburse him. He has not been reimbursed yet.the consumer stated from the day the rv was purchased, it never did cool the way it should have. On july 26, 2007 the cooling fans were replaced. The consumer stated the second time it failed, ammonia was leaking from the rear of the unit and when he turned it on propane, it made a popping sound, so he immediately shut the propane off at the main tank and unplugged the unit.
Concerning recall 51101-c. The dealers are telling me the only thing covered under this recall is the calipers, even though because of the calipers, the rotors are also damaged. And the abs sensor is melted. Just wondering what your interpretation of this recall is. Thanks for your time. April, 2016, rv parked and propane could be smelled. It was determined that it was coming from a cracked weld on a 2009 manchester tank model 68129, winnebago # 144116-01-000. This 2009 tank was a replacement for a 2005 tank, same winnebago #, that was installed under nhtsa campaign number: 09v113000 for a cracked weld with leaking propane. Winnebago accepts no responsibility for the failure and manchester says there is no recall for this tank. The newest tank is a 2015 manchester tank same model and winnebago # as described above. This tank is only supported by two brackets, one at the end and one midway, and none at the front for a tank that weighs over 100# and holds 24 gallons of propane.the tank is located behind the rear axle where it is subject to constant vibration while in motion. The lack of adequate support and strong enough weld subjects the weld for failure.
