The brakes got hot because the brake calipers wouldn't release the pads from the rotors. It wouldn't stop had to use the parking brake.
The entire brake system failed. We were on a 7% incline and proceeding at 20mph.there was construction in the area and we were in a long line of vehicles. The only thing that saved our lives or serious injury was the ability to manually downshift to almost stop the vehicle. There were zero brakes and upon getting to the side of the road the air assit did complete the stopping but the downshifting had us near zero mph anyway.dt
Brake fluid has turned into gel,resulting in extended stgopping distance.the control panel showed abs failure many times, sometimes it clears and is considered acomputer error.the brake fluid holder has gel in it.the consumer would like to know how the gel got into the fluid holder.
