2000 alpine abs sensor failed 3 times. ***nar*** the manufacturer acknowledge there was a problem with the calipers and paid for the replacements, however they refused to cover any of the rear abs sensors. They also paid for one set of front abs sensors. The consumer felt the repeated failures of the abs sensor were directly caused by the problems with calipers.the consumer requested reimbursement for the previous brake work he had to pay for. The air condition was not cooling properly. The cruise control would shut down when the consumer hit a bump in the road. The wood products in the motorhome were showing signs of warpage.

While applying brakes at 30 mph brakepedal would go tofloor and vehicle would not stop properly.dealer was not notified at this time.please provide us with more details on this matter .

Consumer states that while driving vehicle the brakes had went out and vehicle was unable to stop. Dealer notified.nlm

The contact owns a 2000 western alpine coach.the contact found nhtsa campaign id number 02v243000 (service brakes, hydraulic:foundation components:disc:caliper) and immediately scheduled an appointment to have the vehicle repaired.the dealer stated that they would only cover the calipers and the pins.there was significant damage to the zops disc brake calipers, in which the dealer refused to repair, even though it was referenced in the recall as a free remedy.the contact filed a formal complaint with the manufacturer.the vin, engine size, number of cylinders, and powertrain were unknown.the current and failure mileages were 28,200.updated 01/17/08updated 01/17/08

The driver noticed that the vehicle started performing erratically while decelerating down a hill.when the brakes were applied the pedal went to the floor.the consumer was able to slow down and pulled over to the shoulder.the consumer took the vehicle to the dealer on receipt of recall notification.there were no brakes and the consumer would have to down shift to 1st gear and use the exhaust brakes to coast to stop, the abs light flashed, fluid was visible on both sides of coach behind the front wheels, the brakes were extremely hot, the abs sensors melted and were hanging and the oil reservoir caps were blown out and all of the oil was gone. *sc
