2000 volvo conventional. Unit #1 was eastbound in far right lane. Unit #1 experienced blow-out on the forward drive axle, tandem, on passenger side of cab, causing damage to fuel tank, fiberglass body, and mud flap assembly. *ln (ohio traffic crash report # 10-0401-90)
Same component failed at 17291 miles. Both units were replace under warranty but when they fail the gas pedal is inoperative and the speed diminishes to less than 10 mph. This is hazardous on a busy highway. Besides the safety concerns, i am concerned about replacement of an expensive part every year.
