The contact owns a 2013 volvo s60. While driving 30 mph and approaching an intersection, the air bag warning indicator illuminated and the driver and passenger side air bags deployed. There was no injury. The police was contacted, but the contact was unaware if a police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to mclarty volvo cars of little rock (1500 n shackleford rd, little rock, ar 72211, (501) 588-7300). The dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. Prior to the failure, the same dealer diagnosed the vehicle concerning the air bag warning indicator illuminating. The vehicle was also taken to an independent mechanic for a wheel alignment. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the vin was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was 270,000.

I was traveling between 30 - 40 mph in my 2013 volvo s60 when i struck an suv from behind. None of the airbags in my vehicle deployed, even though it was a direct rear end collision. After the collision my instrument panel displayed the warning message 'srs airbag service urgent'. My volvo s60 is equipped with the standard city safety auto braking system, which did not engage at any point to avoid/reduce the impact of the collision. The auto braking system does not work above certain speeds, i am aware; however, i am concerned that my airbags were not properly working considering that it seems my vehicle was traveling at a speed above the auto braking threshold. There were no airbag warnings before the collision. For reference, there was a nearly identical collision in the same intersection just minutes prior and the vehicle involved in the collision had deployed airbags.

On feb. 3rd, i was pulling into a parking space in front of a store when my s60 r type volvo began to accelerate on its own and reached very high rpm. My foot was not even on the accelerator as the car normally idles fast enough to perform parking maneuvers. I hit the brake but the car continued to move. It jumped the sidewalk; hit the building and proceeded to dig a hole in the flowerbed at the store's front. This all happened in the length of a parking space. I can't remember whether i shut the ignition off or of the engine stopped on its own shortly after the collision. Neither the airbags nor the pedestrian avoidance braking system deployed.i hit the building so hard that the brick cracked inside and out of the structure.the door is still inoperable.

The contact owned a 2013 volvo s60. While driving approximately 40 mph, the contact drove through a stop light and crashed into the side of another vehicle. The hood of the contact's vehicle fractured and became detached from the vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. The driver of the other vehicle sustained injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a lot where it was deemed destroyed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 41,000. Updated 03/16/16*ljupdated 03/22/16.

Vehicle involved damage front and left frontal area.speed 40-45 mph. No frontal or side curtain air bag and curtain deployment.failure of collision warning system and electronical indicators, abs did not deploy.

Takata recall the air bag in my car is damaged. It has not blew up on me yet but it is dangerous.

The heater/air conditioner blower fan does not work. This is not a blown fuse, yet a possible blown resistor and/or failed blower motor. This vehicle is 5 years old and has 72k miles; i cannot get heat or air conditioning due to this issue; windows are fogged often, which represents a hazardous/safety issue. Replacement of the heater blower motor and/or resistor requires the removal of the dashboard and instrument cluster. This should not happen on any 5 year old vehicle, much less a volvo. The repair is either very costly, at least $700 to $1100 or time consuming if i do it myself. That is several car payments worth for a part that should not have failed. I have owned two older volvos (1972, 1986) and this part never failed--and if it did, the access was much easier (behind the glovebox).

The trunk would not open with the key fob.another time, the car driver door would not lock.when the driver door was opened, the car alarm would go off.the dealer replaced the locking mechanism.

Vehicle was stationary when i did notice the driver's side does not lock properly (car does not beep when locking as usual). In order for the door to lock properly, the driver's door needs to be closed much harder than usual, technically slammed shut. In order to open the driver's side of the door, i need to either use the manual key or enter through the passenger door, propping open the door that way. This is causing a safety/security concern, as i need the vehicle to be locked at all times.

While driving the car electronics, such as the dashboard lights, and radio started to flicker off and on repeatedly and the engine cut off. I was unable to control the steering and the car came to a complete stop.i waited a few min and was able to start back the car and drive it.this incident has happened 2 times in a 6 month period.the car was recently serviced at around 38,000 miles at the volvo dealership.the issue started to occur about a month after the car was serviced.

The contact owns a 2013 volvo s60. The contact stated after entering the vehicle he was unable to roll down the windows or lock the doors. The vehicle was taken to (volvo cars richmond 7211 w broad st, richmond, va 23294), to be diagnosed. The diagnosis was the vehicle had severe rust and corrosion which caused the wiring to be replaced. After the was repaired the vehicle still experienced a failure with the remote access. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact referenced the failure to nhtsa campaign number: 19v849000 (latches/locks/linkages). The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.

Vehicle involved damage front and left frontal area.speed 40-45 mph. No frontal or side curtain air bag and curtain deployment.failure of collision warning system and electronical indicators, abs did not deploy.

Carbon monoxide and hydrogen cyanide was leaking into the cabin of the car from a loose bolt on the turbo.no warning lights or anything - extremely dangerous and now with a car that is expensive to fix and unable to sell unless committed to fixed.

Very high oil consumption. Has gotten worse past 20000 miles. Vehicle has about 82000 miles now. Im having to add 6 to 8 quarts of oil in between oil changes

Burning excessive oil and not giving a warning light. Driving down the highway when i heard a knock coming from the car so i stopped checked everything and noticed there was no oil on the dip stick and i just changed the oil 5 weeks ago.the engine now knocks and can barely be driven.

We believed the 2013 volvo s60 was leaking oil but the mechanic from local service station did not find a leak.the local mechanic called boston volvo service and was informed that the volvo s60's has piston ring problems and to bring the vehicle to boston volvo for confirmation.boston volvo confirmed vehicle has the oil consumption problem.

The contact owns a 2013 volvo s60. The contact stated that while driving at 30 mph, there was an abnormal noise under the hood of the vehicle. The contact pulled into the driveway where her husband checked the oil levels. The contact stated that the oil pressure warning was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the vehicle was diagnosed and the mechanic determined that there was an oil consumption failure. The contact stated that four quarts of oil was added in the vehicle however, the failure recurred. There were no oil leaks visible. Dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

There is a 'known issue with the piston rings' that causes the vehicle to burn through oil.please see the attached.i, and all the other unsuspecting volvo purchasers i am sure, would very much appreciate attention to this matter.thank you for your time.

I recently had a recall on a volvo for door latches. When looking at other recalls, i found that the oil pressure light on my vehicle, indicating low oil pressure, was a recall on a prior year, same make and model. I did further research and discovered that the car had a possible recall of the wrong date of manufacture. I was assured by volvo that my vehicle was not affected; however, it is having the same issues, was the same make and model, says it was made in the same city, and i have had issues with the title along with getting an original date of sell for the vehicle. I bought it from a buy here, pay here place, and it had an yellow x on the inside of the drivers side door. I think it was affected by the prior recall and that i can not get all the needed recalls because the prior misprint of the year was never corrected before it was sold to the dealer.

Excessive oil consumption - burning or consuming at least 5 quarts of oil every 2k-3k miles, between oil changes.our only notice is when oil is below 5-quart range, when we receive a dash warning noting to stop engine.car holds 7.25 quarts of synthetic oil.well know documented throughout the web and known to volvo mechanics, although more recognized with 2011-2012 s60.stop engine notice received when starting car.fortunately able to uber to auto supply and add 5quarts to drive home.occurred on two occasions, wherein the second instance we researched, reached out to volvo mechanics and in the process of contacting dealer and volvo for follow-up.it appears that several instances have resulted in engine failure and/or $5k or more in personal cost to fix piston/value issue or replace engine.

I have owned my 2013 s60 volvo for 3.5 years.about 2 years ago, i started noticing that my car was burning/ consumption an excessive amount of oil between oil change intervals. I get my oil changed on the recommended schedule, but i always have to add oil before the next scheduled service.i started doing research and it appears that a recall was done for some cars, but my vin was not included.it also appears that many other people are having the same problem.people pay a lot of money for these cars and to have a major component failure is not acceptable.i am requesting that you review and expand this recall including my car and the hundreds of cars with the same defects.https://www.carproblemzoo.com/volvo/s60/engine-burning-oil-problems.phphttps://volvo.oemdtc.com/312/high-oil-consumption-2013-2016-volvo

Car is burning oil.no oil leaks detected via mechanic or loss on the ground.have to put multiple quarts of oil per month.the "check oil pressure" illuminates typically when making a turn which is extremely disconcerting.this is a known problem for this vehicle, just google it.they are well aware that these cars were incorrectly rated with the amount of oil initially.volvo has done nothing to remedy this situation even though it's a known problem.

The contact owns a 2013 volvo s60. The contact stated that oil was seeping into the engine compartment causing the vehicle to consume a minimum of 2 to 3 quarts of oil daily. The contact had to add 2 to 3 quarts of oil per day. The contact had contacted cherry hill volvo cars (1810 rte 70 w, cherry hill, nj 08002, (856) 665-4050) and the contact was informed that failure could be related to the coils or the pistons. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 95,000.

With less than 50,000 miles on it, my s60 just completely stopped working on my way to work. While pulling out of my development, the entire engine, power steering - everything shut down. I had to coast into a turning lane to put on my flashers. I had not gone more than 3 minutes from my house. After volvo had it for a few days they told me that the alternator belt had jumped off, hitting the alternator, fraying the belt. This then resulted in the belt wrapping around another part of the engine impacting the drive belt. This resulted in damage to the drive belt, alternator, 1/3 of my engine and my cylinder block. Volvo is blaming this on a faulty belt tensioner, yet they are making me pay for part of the repair which is a total cost of $6,000. This is clearly a defective part - either it was installed incorrectly or it was not properly built as a belt does not just "jump". I was lucky that i had not yet gotten onto the highway or i would have been injured along with other people if not worse. This is a huge safety concern and volvo does not seem to want to admit complete failure here. This car has been serviced regularly and at the same dealership.

The check engine light came on.i took it to a mom & pop mechanic that i use.they determined that the problem is that the car is burning oil.it needed 3 quarts.they researched on-line and found a 'technical journal' released by volvo usa to it's service departments entitled 'high oil consumption'.16 different volvos (models and years) are listed in this journal.my car is one of them. Volvo knows there is a problem, the car is unsafe to drive and yet there has been no recall for the cars.local and corporate volvo denied me financial assistance with this because the car is 'too old, with too many miles'.but it is a known problem and the problem is also with newer models.so the fact that my car is older shouldn't matter.my car has the engine that has the defect.shouldn't have to rebuild the engine with only 116,000 miles.obviously, if they know of 16 cars that have this issue, it has happened before and without being fixed, it can't be driven.both local and usa contacts treated my request as an isolated event, not a part of a bigger problem - about which they have knowledge. Again, this is a known defect!

While driving on the highway to work on 12/3/18 my vehicle driver information center displayed a message of "no oil pressure - park safely".as i attempted to pull to the shoulder of the highway the engine started knocking very loudly and shutdown!the engine now has catastrophic failure, with a terrible knocking if the engine is started.it cannot be driven!

Driving home going 40 mph this week the oil light came on and i was alerted to stop the car immediately. This flashed on and off twice. I thought it was a glitch as i had another 1000 miles till my next oil change. I checked the oil and it was dry. I added a quart and drove to get my oil changed. Result was when they drained it there were 2 quarts that drained out. This includes the quart i had put in. My prior oil changes i would have been down a quart after 5000 miles. This is shocking! seeing this has happened to others i'm concerned. Luckily i'm not hearing knocks and my car seems fine. I called a volvo mechanic and he said to check the oil level every month. My concern is there was no early warning that my oil was low. If the tire looses air there are non stop warnings.

My car started making this knocking noise. I checked the oil and it was completely gone. The oil light never came on. Now i'm told the engine is gone. When i looked up my model and year in complaints it was reported this was a problem but a recall has not been issued.

Car is burning oil. I have to replace the oil every 2-3 months with no warning as to when it is coming. The "check oil pressure" light comes on, normally when the car is in motion (specifically, making a turn), when there is already barely any oil in the car leaving me very little time to get it to a shop to replace the oil. A couple of days later (if not that same day), the check engine light will also come on. I went directly to volvo south shore for them to do an oil change on june 21, 2019 and my "oil pressure" light flashed on august 16,2019. By august 23, my "check engine" light came on so i took it to the nearest shop. They ran the diagnostics report and told me the light came on because there wasnt a drop of oil in the car. Anytime i take it into volvo to get checked, they say they cannot do anything unless the "check engine" light is currently on but its not like i can bring it to them when it does because its not safe to drive to them/wait a few days for an appointment! by that time, i can feel the car giving out and its not like i can take it another 20 miles to see them! the fact that this issue has not been properly addressed is astounding. Its not safe and it should not be the individual's responsibility to replace an engine this soon!

The car has been having an oil consumption issue.trying to stay ahead of it, i was changing the oil every 5k with full synthetic.while driving on the highway, the car started vibrating, i received a message "reduce speed or shift up", and a blinking check engine light. Ultimately due to the high oil consumption i had a bent value and no compression out of the 4th cylinder.volvo did not assist in the repairs or acknowledge any manufacturing issue since the car was not regularly serviced by a certified volvo dealership and the warranty expired 3 months earlier.

The tire and loading information label on my car has 4 errors. 1. Loading: the installed label specifies a weight limit of 1200 lbs. The correct weight limit for my car is 1025 lbs.2. Front tire size: the installed label says my car has 215/50r17 front tires. The car has 235/45r17 tires. Volvo cars of north america confirmed that 235/45r17 tires were installed at the factory.3. Front tire pressure: the installed label specifies 38psi, but the correct value is 36psi.4. Rear tire size: same error as front tire size.5. Rear tire pressure: same error as front tire pressure.

1st incident, december 2012.about 760 miles on new car.quarter tank of fuel. Traveling at 65 mph on interstate, vehicle lost power, and had to coast to a stop at side of road.fortunately in rural area with low traffic so no problems.after towing to dealer, no problem identified... Ecm-p008700 code reported as fuel pressure loss. Software mentioned as the problem, ecm upgrade accomplished.2nd incident, march 2013.about 2350 miles on car, again quarter tank of fuel. Again on interstate, vehicle abruptly lost power and had to coast to a stop.again, fortunately in rural area with low traffic. Problem also appears to be fuel system related, but still being investigated by a different dealership since were on a trip out of town.

I had a 2008 volvo s60 and now i have a 2013 volvo s60. And the same exact thing happened with both of them. Both cars had more than half a tank of gas and while driving on the freeway they started to stutter and then the car just shut off while i was driving. I was lucky to be close to an exit and i had to let the car role on nuetral till i was safe away from any traffic. If i want close to an exit you can just imagine what would of happened. When i tried to turn the car on it wouldn't start anymore. I have done knowledge on working on cars and new it was a fuel problem. Upon checking i noticed that the fuel rail didn't have any fuel pressure. On my 2008 the problem was the fuel pump module. On my 2013 its a newer car so i don't really know much about it. Only had it for 2 weeks. And now it got towed and is at the dealer where i bought it from to get checked by their mechanic. There must be a problem with s60's to have happened to both s60's i've owend.

The contact owns a 2013 volvo s60. The contact stated that the rear driver's side door unlatched independently and opened while driving 50 mph. A passenger was occupying the seat at the time of the failure. The contact was able to move safely out of traffic. The contact stated that the other three door latches also failed. The door ajar indicator illuminated for all the doors. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted. The dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 70,000.

When coming to a stop, once stop has completed, while foot is on the brake at random times the vehicle we jolt forwarded.the jolt would be in comparison to the feeling of being rear ended at a complete stop.i have taken the car to the local volvo dealership and they checked it and came back with nothing being wrong.on the fourth return to the dealership i asked if anyone drove the vehicle.the answer was no.the service department specialist asked if he could drive the vehicle home for the night. I said yes, because this problem happens randomly.the next day, the service specialist said that he experienced the same problem.again, nothing they said could be done because no error code appeared.the trans jumps too much, to be normal.

The vehicle shifts erratically in stop and go traffic with frequent surges and jolts at low gears. This also occurs at higher temperatures (after driving for a while on hot days) and during stop and go traffic on hot days. Transmission engages slowly after a full stop and often with a jerk, especially felt when stopped at an incline. All of these jerks and jolts occur around gears 1 or 2 and during stopping or starting from stop.

When i am sometimes either stopped at a stop sign, intersection or on a highway, the transmission will almost stop, buck and then resume driving.

When the front passenger does not use seat belt, the car does not issue any audible warning (even when the car is in motion, e.g. At 30 mph).note that, in contrast, the audible warning will ring for 6 seconds if the driver does not use seat belt. I called the local dealer and volvo north america at (201) 768-7300, the reply was that this is exactly how it is designed to work.the dealer also confirmed that the same behavior was observed on other volvo cars on his site.the receptionist at volvo north america confirmed to me that "the audible warning for the front passenger seat was eliminated" and it is not possible even for the dealer to enable it.then, my question is, why does the design engineers at volvo think it is ok if the front passenger does not use safety belt and there is no need to issue a reminder??in other cars (e.g., i tested on mercedes benz c300 4matic 2013 model), when the car is in motion and the front passenger does not use seat belt, the car reminds with a audible warning.

This relates to recall r10029 which i was notified of last summer. I received a follow up letter in december and called to schedule an appointment to have the recall addressed on january 18. Was told parts will not been in until march and that i should call back. Seems like poor concern fo rthis safety defect.

Recall notice sent and received by myself.an appointment was made for corrective action by the dealer.when car brought for service on scheduled date, was told that the corrective part was no longer available, and there was no time frame for stock replacement to correct the the recall issue by volvo. Unknown when this would take place. No corrective action received by the dealer or volvo.

Automatic brakes came on when turning out of my neighborhood onto a main road. It's was 7am and there were no cars around me at the tome of the initial incident. There was nothing near me but empty streets. I turned back into my neighborhood to figure out what happened and saw notification of automatic braking on my dashboard. I turned my car off and restarted it to try and leave my neighborhood again but the dance thing happened in the exact same spot. Still no traffic or anything around to trigger that. Very dangerous!!!

I received two safety recall notices (march and april) for recall r89978. "the door latches can weaken making it difficult to latch the door or worse drive the car believing that the door is securely closed when it's not."in the volvo recall letter, it states to call the dealer to schedule the repair at no cost.it's almost june and my dealer has not received the parts from volvo.they have no idea when they'll receive parts from volvo.this is the only car i have access to and i don't feel safe.

The contact owns a 2013 volvo s60. The contact stated that someone was able to kick in the side collision protection bar on the driver side door. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the protection bar needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vin was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 16,000.

The front passenger door openned while vehicle was in operation due to defective sensor in the door locking system

No spare tires in new cars puts us consumers in dangeryou should be as deeply concerned, as i am, of the growing trend among car manufacturers to leave out spare tires. In fact they don't even have space to carry them.discounting the questionable benefit to their bottom line this is a trend that puts us drivers in considerable danger. It also leaves the us consumer at the mercy of tow truck operators and price gouging by the dealers where the car is towed.instead of a spare they provide a form of ?fix-a-flat? that pumps a sealant and air into the punctured tire. This will only work with tires with a small puncture in the tread not on larger holes or sidewall damage. It also causes irreparable damage to possibly salvageable tire. The only other option is to call and wait for emergency help, which could take hours, days or be non-existent in many areas.you can easily imagine many scenarios where the lack of a spare tire, and waiting hours for a tow, could be more than a big inconvenience, but a threat to life. A flat tire on a long deserted stretch of road late at night. A flat in a bad section of the city or a section where road debris causes multiple vehicles to get flats at the same time overwhelming emergency services.for the safety of us drivers spare tires must be supplied as standard equipment on all cars sold in the united states.

While driving on a low speed street road, hit a pot hole and right front tire got flat. Per volvo techn found 3 nails and excessive sidewall damage. This is the third incident.

Left front tire is flat. Per volvo technician found nail in edge of sidewall which is non repairable and need to be replaced. This is the fourth incident.

The car is burning oil. And like i have read in other complaints of the volvo 2013 s60 oil has to be added too often. I just had regular service done about 5 weeks ago. On august 23, 2019 my "low oil pressure" light came on while the car was in motion making a turn. I thought to myself "i can't be low on oil". On saturday august 24th before driving, i checked my oil and sure enough there was barely any oil on the dip stick. I called the volvo dealership that i go to all the time and got an appointment for tuesday august 27th. I told my service manager that this is the third time i had to bring the car in for the oil and that they have ran every test possible. This is ridiculous! i liked volvo cars since high school and this is my second one. But enough is enough. There should be a recall for this problem!

Lack of warnings on low oil pressure.my car give no oil signal warninglight on when car have zero oil in it. Phone [xxx].information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Right front tire 235/40/r18/95h deflated when it hit a pot hole on low speed street road. Inner sidewall was damaged and tire need to be replaced. This is the first incident.

While driving down the freeway, the sunroof of the car spontaneously exploded raining broken glass into the car.there was nothing above the car at the time the sunroof exploded (i.e. An overpass where something could have fallen) nor were there other vehicles near by that could have kicked a rock or other object that could have broken the glass.further, after pulling off the road to examine the damage, the glass had exploded outward, away from the car rather than inward, as would be expected if something like a rock had hit the glass and broken it.

Left front tire always losing air. Replaced by a new tire. This is the second incident.

When pressing the accelerator to enter traffic there was a very significant hesitation followed by a sudden lurch which almost lead to a t-bone accident. This was the third time this has happened in the last two weeks. Volvo found a service bulletin for 6 cylinder engine and installed the software upgrade. It is too early to tell if it worked.

Water was dripping onto my lap while i was driving (distracting), as well as obstructing my vision while it ran down the inside of the glass. Took the car to the volvo dealership and found the windshield was loose. Had to pay to have the windshield replaced for safety reasons.

The wiper fluid stopped coming out from the nozzles, as well as headlight washers during snowy weather.the car has a sensor to notify driver if the fluid levels are below a specific amount. No warning was issued. Windshield washer fluid was added but there was no improvement. There was noted snow accumulation inside the engine compartment at the driver's side, near the area of windshield wiper fluid reservoir.

For the last year or so i have been experiencing a leak on the passenger side coming from the windshield. It is quite noticeable after heavy rain and even going through the carwash. The water has damaged the interior material right behind the sun visor. As a result, i glued it a few times but of course it is not staying because of the continual rain.i also have to keep a damp rid underneath the passenger seat because the car smells damp and musky after it has rained and being closed up. On one occasion, my passenger had been put at risk because they got soaked really bad during a rain storm and became ill.unfortunately, there was nothing i could do about it and as you can imagine, my passenger was extremely upset.

Note ahora se han mudado al 755 nw 20 st miami fl 33127 under name golden glade collision center, insurance knows about air bag it does not working properly,, they know about fraud,, investigator knows about safety parts,, insurance pay them with fake papers,, insurance knows about stolen money through the my accident,, insurance, agriculture government knows about unsafety car,, the auto shop, aaa of dade county in miami did only very superficial repair work on my car, although they collected compensation from the insurance company. They mention having repairedmy seat belt system, air bags, and other mechanical items, as well as outer body parts, but it is obvious that these items have not been repaired. This was confirmed by volvo, miami & melbourne (see attachment 2 & 3), and by j&j in palm coast (see attachment 4). More importantly, not only did they do improper and incomplete repair work, but there is indication that they themselves caused additional damages to my car, e. G. There appear scratches, the rear bumper is loose, the original front tires were removed and replaced with tires so worn that it put my sons life and mine in grave danger! i have since replaced them by new ones.from what i have been told at volvo, my car has suffered a loss in value owing to created damages equal to at least $18,000! on 9/24/14, aaa of dade county prepared an authorization form for the purpose of collecting money from the insurance company. This report states that all damages have been satisfactorily repaired on that same date. Please note, however, that the photos, clearly showing the damages to the car, were taken by the appraiser on 9/26/2014!). It thus appears that this form was used for the sole purpose of collecting money, and not, as stated, confirming repair of the damages. A rock slide left several rocks on the highway.i hit one of them and cracked a rim.since the volvo s60 does not come with a spare tire, i was left stranded in a canyon road in the rain with a disabled vehicle.minimal cell phone reception made calling for help very difficult.volvo assumes that calling their roadside assistance (if you can) and waiting for a tow truck is equivalent to carrying a spare tire.it clearly is not and can leave driver's helpless when a simple spare tire would have solved the problem.although purchasing a spare tire is an option, it would consume truck space that is necessary for my son's stroller.i can only carry the stroller or the spare but not both..the car should be designed to carry a spare tire if necessary.updated 10/9/15 *ln updated 12/21/2015
