74k miles . Car was parked for several hours, then started the car & air bag light , traction and stability warning lights were on.noticed all steering wheel controls did not work.horn and media controls.after driving the car a clicking noise started coming from the steering wheel when turning. *called volkswagen usa and they said it is not a recall on my carlooked up that it is common problem for my car and the was a recall for the same car an similar models.

The car was in a severe front end collision that totaled the car. The wreck resulted in multiple injuries for both occupants. Both were transported by ambulance. The car was moving on a country road when a combine with no lights came out in front of them. The vehicle struck the combine. Zero airbags were deployed in this crash.

When i started the car the hvac blower motor would not work. The dealer found that the motor had shorted out and instead of blowing the fuse and deactivating the blower motor and motor circuit, the blower fuse melted, the fuse box melted, and the connector was also melted. This car is primarily used for short trips and was taken to the dealer shortly after the motor stopped working, if i had been on a long trip or ignored the problem i believe this short circuit would have resulted in a fire under my dashboard. Why didn't the fuse blow and what's the point of having a fuse in the circuit if a shorted motor causes the fuse box and fuse to melt, and not blow the fuse and isolate the shorted circuit? this design is a disaster waiting to happen. I did not notice any smoke or smell of melting plastic before the motor stopped working. I've attached the repair work order, the repair was completed under new car warranty at no cost to me.

The vehicle has a hard time on startup when stationary (when the temperature fluctuates from freezing to thawing), sometimes taking three to four times for it to crank over. Once it cranks over it will vibrate and shake like it is going to stall. It will also shake and act like it's going to stall after in motion for the first minute. Took to the dealership, said it was an old battery. Replaced battery, the issue is intermittent (again when the temperature fluctuates). Read online that it could be a tdi intercooler design flaw. The dealership will not cover unless they experience the problem. This issue says it can cause engine failure. Looking to take it to an independent vw tdi shop to see if they can diagnose the problem and get a second opinion. Hopefully, this doesn't have anything to do with the fuel pump.

Turbo failed without warning on the highway and i was unable to maintain the speed limit. This occurred in a vehicle that had the tdi emissions modification. The problem occurred a second time after a warranty repair at vic bailey volkswagen and appears to be an ongoing problem that is related to the emissions modification. The first failure occurredapproximately 20,000 miles after the emissions modification, and only 1300 miles after the previous failure and replacement of the turbo.

Epc warning light appears and slows car down from 65 to 15 miles per hour on freeway within 15 seconds, extremely dangerous situation and even had someone shatter my window with a screwdriver for almost causing accident

I filled the fuel tank, which was not quite empty, with diesel on 11/21. On 11/25, after driving a couple hundred miles and multiple trips, it would not start for many tries once it was shut off, even with engine hot. Far from home, i was afraid to shut it off.the temperature was near freezing, tank a little more than half. I got it started three more times after this and drove another 150 mi. Without issues, and it has not stalled. The car has never been misfueled.on 11/28, started it with 3 10-15 second tries and took it to the dealer. Dealer could never get it started, claimed to see metal particles in filter and took fuel sample for testing. Service mgr made comments about not needing to bleed fuel system, like when they took a sample fuel. Dealer could have caused (more) damage to hpfp by letting air in. Dealer has not seen similar symptoms in other tdi. High pressure fuel pump (hpfp) failure suspected (all replaced in april), vw blames poor fuel but lab report says "observed free water" and did not actually measure it. Lab estimated 0.5%vol vs required ulsd spec of 0.05% vol. Car will not start (but has started a few times after many tries and then runs very well). Dealer assumes it's fuel related but obd code is p2002(dpf pressure) so dealer included that in the $13k estimate. Vw consumer care indicated that regardless of replacing the fuel system or fuel, unless i have a completely different obd code, they may use the fuel test failure to deny any repair of any type in the future.car must drive under its own power for tdi emissions buyback, but they say this condition is not acceptable. I am left to pay for the repairs, with no known resolution, myself. I am afraid to drive it (or that the dealer crippled it) when/if i do get it running.

Panaramic roof top leaking.this vin isn't covered by the recall that is out but it is affected by the same issues as the recall for 2015 and up models.panaramic roof top leaks in drain tubes causing safety concerns due to fog and damage to airbag unitvehicle stationary.i have attached the recall for the other model but my car is affected exactly the same and should be covered by the recall as well.

Front and rear coil springs fractured. Vehicle was stationary in driveway, when driving onto road, noticed loud grinding and immediately stopped. Vehicle towed to vw colonial westborough, ma. Other vw models from 2015 have had coil failures and recall.

After hearing a clunk in the front driver side suspension and a visual inspection, i discovered my coil spring had broke and was no longer available seated properly in its perch on the strut. After doing some research of various online forums and groups, this seems to be a common issue with these cars. It appears there is a recall on some newer volkswagens i think these cars need to be looked at as well.

Left front coil spring broke 2 pieces off. Happened wile driving unit on two separate occasions. Combination of city and highway driving. Unit startef having a clunking noise around 100,000 miles and then a part of the coil spring fell out onto the road in front of the house.

7/3/21 just parked at corner store about 1/2 mile from home when i heard a very loud bang, like a tire exploding on the rear passenger side of vehicle. I got out of the car to inspect the tire and saw that it had not exploded. I then looked under the car next to the wheel and noticed that the coil spring had broken. I removed the broken piece of spring, but the car was sagging on the rear passenger side corner. Through an internet search i noticed several other 2014 vw jetta sportswagens having the same problem and that there has beenrecalls of other vw vehicles of later dates due to coil springs breaking from faulty manufacturing.

Broken rear passenger coil spring. Unknown cause or time of failure.

Car is stuttering and has stalled 3 times in the last month, two of which i was driving, the other, while stopped at a light. Brought it to get a diagnostic after the first time it stalled, which was on the highway, the alternator was showing low voltage. Brought it to the shop, showed nothing, alternator was fine. It stalled again while driving in town the second time. The epc flashed 3 times and the check engine light came on a few days ago. Did a diagnostic, the cam shaft sensory code came up. Brought it to the shop, a completely different code came up as well as the cam shaft code. They rest it, hooked it up again and no codes showed up and the check engine light went off. That was two days ago, it stalled again this morning while sitting at a light, no warning lights came on.

The moon roof drainage line on the rear drivers side clogged up and significant amounts of water drained into my car. This happened whether i was driving or if the car was sitting in the rain. The water collected in the rear/luggage compartment well on the drivers side. This has the potential to result in mold in the car, which can be dangerous to human respiratory systems. More significantly, every time i got in the car my windshield would fog up, sometimes after a started driving, and i had to pull over to safely continue driving. But until i could drive safely, i was driving with impaired vision. When i took the car in to get fixed (or any time i talked to someone about getting it fixed) everyone had heard of this issue and there was no surprise it was happening. One technician told me "we see about one of these per day during the rainy season." so this is chronic issue with vws in general if they have a moon roof. I spent $385 to fix this problem.

Car parked at church.could not insert key into ignition switch.no previous indication of problem.review of problem on internet and discussion with dealership service agent revealed that this has been a long term problem over many years where a little plastic piece inside the switch gets out of place and blocks key entry.i consider this as a safety issue in an emergency.the cost to replace the switch quoted at about $450 but apparently the same type of switch which has only a 12,000 mile warrantee.contact with a vw advocate yielded no help with replacement.given the longevity of this issue, it seems appropriate that the switch be modified to prevent this potential safety issue.

When we move the shifter to d and you are driving the d flashes, sometimes it stops when the brakes are applied and sometimes it flashes
