Kept hearing a clicking noise when turning steering wheel. Today when backing into a parking spot, there was a real loud click, almost like a snap, and my air bag error message immediately showed up and none of the buttons on my steering wheel would work anymore
The steering control module and clockspring is faulty. My transmission light and airbag light came on. I brought it to my german auto repair shop and he did some research. It was confirmed as a faulty part and vw should pay for it. My functioning airbags and cruise control are things i rely on for safety. I will bring it in to a dealership because the clockspring has to be programmed by a dealership. I live 300 miles from a vw dealership and it is a real pain.
Ongoing airbag defect warning light comes on when driving.also warning on information screen. Dealer has made several unsuccessful attempts to repair.car has only 5700 miles on it.
Takata recall- 2015 gti. Turned car on at 5:30 after work and airbag error light came on, no controls in steering wheel working like volume , blue tooth cruise control and horn. Car was parked for 8 hours. Light driving city traffic usually from and back to work.there was no indication, just stopped. 44.000 miles. Car was bought at 34500 miles exactly one year ago (2017) no horn and no airbag working as of yesterday is a safety issue and dealership said there is no recall on this particular make model year !
As i was turning my steering wheel, i heard a crinkle sound and the air bag light came on.i realized later that i could no longer honk the horn.when i brought my car in for service, the clock spring was replaced, however the exact same problem happened again within weeks.i cannot honk my horn and i am concerned that my air bag will not deploy in the case of an emergency.
Steering column control mechanism, air bag sensor, lock mechanism. Saw an article posted last week about previous recall not resolving a know issue with airbags that affects the steering column. I just had to pay $641.10 to have this repaired.if this is something that vw should have had to pay for i would love to be able to recoup my money.
Airbag sensor lights on. Took to dealer ventura volkswagen. They charged me $145 to diagnose the problem, then say it will cost $615 to replace the "clock spring." the car has never been in an accident and the airbags never have deployed. Ventura volkswagen says it is not under recall nor covered by my warranty and will charge me $615 to fix it. Invoice from the dealer is attached.
I was turned my steering wheel to parallel park today and heard a 'click' from the steering wheel. My airbag light immediately came one. I did some investigation, and my problem is exactly what is described in this article:https://autoweek.com/article/recalls/nhtsa-investigate-415000-vw-vehicles-airbag-issuemy horn is not working. Additionally, i have lost electrical control on all buttons on the steering wheel. This includes volume buttons, hands-free phone control buttons, and the button that changes the digital dashboard display.
Airbag system is not recognizing occupant in front passenger seat.airbag is off with seat occupied.called vw customer service to ask about recall 69l6 which describes this problem and was told our vin was not in the recall although your website gives our manufacture date of 18 july 2014 as inside the recall range.perhaps the recall should be expanded.airbag light on at all times.
Clock spring broke. This is a known issue and recall for previous years, but apparently not mine. Symptoms are airbag light on, inoperable steering wheel accessories including horn. This is a safety issue. It should be recalled. First knowledge of this problem was upon starting first thing in the morning. Car was parked in the garage.
The clockspring broke about 1 year ago i had it replaced. It broke again last week.the airbag is disabled as is the horn and cruise control.

Need to find out if there are any recalls with the vw golf r 2015 model.anything related to engine, fuel system, exhaust that would cause a fire
Vehicle randomly displays message on hud screen "error: service vehicle. Only leave vehicle in p position" i have only ever had it happen while driving. Everything from 10mph to 80mph. No particular speed seems to trip the error. After a long drawn out ordeal, both the local dealer and vw of america have denied repair even though, this exact issue because it is not included in the 33,168 select volkswagen golfs and golf sportwagens from 2015 to 2018 model years. Yet with all the evidence to include the ecu/tcu logs verifying the problem since its not a "affected" vin, they will do nothing.the local dealer confirm that this is the exact issue we have been dealing with since july of this year. Most recently i was going through the pharmacy drive-thru and in park when the vehicle began to roll forward which i had to hit the brakes to stop it.yet with all the evidence to include the ecu/tcu logs verifying the problem since its not a "affected" vin, they will do nothing.
Charging port failure locked charger handle in place. Could not move vehicle until evse was removed from building. Then car was towed to service center where car's charging port was replaced. Car was stationary, charging on a level 2 evse. Manual override procedure described in owner's manual failed to unlock charging port.## vin passed ## vw e-golf sel 2015 ##
While driving at approximately 30 miles per hour the car came up with an alert of electrical fault stop now and the powertrain shut down with zero throttle response. I was able to pull into the right lane and party into a driveway of a fast food restaurant. I was unable to turn off the car, i got out and pushed it into the parking lot. Eventually the car turned off and after a few attempts i was able to turn it back on. I was in "b" mode (regenerative braking mode) and decided to drive it in "d" (regular drive) the extra 2 miles home. This shutdown offered no warning and no "limp mode", had i been in a busier area this could easily have lead to a crash.
The vw egolf automatically turns itself off when the driver exits the vehicle.even though the key is left in the vehicle, once the driver exits the vehicle the vehicle shuts down.this is a serious safety concern.you intentionally leave the vehicle on to ensure the cabin is maintaining a comfortable temperature for your passengers...meanwhile, the vehicle shuts down and disables the climate control.you have now left your family members, elderly, children, pets, etc possibly in a hot vehicle with no way to maintain cabin temperature!people, children and pets die regularly from cabin extreme temperatures! please contact vw and tell them to reverse this programing!a driver/owner should have control over this!i'm not aware of any other vehicle in the market that automatically turns itself off when the driver exits the vehicle!
Clock spring failure in the steering wheel disabled airbag of 2015 golf.
Whilst driving home at approximately 6:30 pm during heavy freeway traffic, approximately70 mph the electronic drive system of the vw egolf died. I lost all power and was forced to pull across threelanes of traffic to reach the safety of the shoulder. While no accident, that was more luck than anything else and grace of other drivers allowing me to directly move in front of them. Vehicle had code p32b2 and p060c reported by vw report and replaced parts: 5qe-907-070-c and 12e-998-152-a. Dealer would not provide any additional information despite my continued requests in to the cause of failure. Updated 11/05/15the vehicle was returned to the dealer. It has been there since july 28, 2015. They were still unable to repair the vehicle as of august 26, 2015. The failure was related to power as the battery and charging system failed again. Updated 11/17/15.
I leased the e-golf for about 4 months. I was driving down the street and suddenly car shut down. An error "error:electrical system. Stop!" appeared. Car stopped and blocked the lane. I called vw sos and they connected me to 911.police officer came and helped me pulling the car to the roadside. The windows and multimedia worked. Tried to press the power button off and turned it on but same error showed. I waited for one hour to tow my car to the dealer. I got car back from dealer 4 days later, in their report stated " checked faults in system, found p0c0100 drive motor a current high. Contacted vw helpline. Vw helpline advised these faults are related to customer pressing start/stop button while driving" , i'm pretty sure i didn't touch the power button when driving. And they " cleared all faults, set basic setting for electric drive and road tested extensively for 90 miles and no malfunction occurred at this time". I like the car's design and still driving the car daily but just really really worry about the safety.
2015 golf started experiencing problems with the engine/transmission after feb 5, 2016 on three different occasions. Upon starting car the idle is extremely rough and then a warning message appears that starts out with "transmission..." goes off quickly but a highlighted exclamation point remains. The message goes off too quickly to capture a picture of it. The exclamation point and rough idle remains until the car is turned off. When the car is turned on again it is fine. The car is currently at a dealer to be repaired as they state: we have to replace the shifter assembly. I have been told i cannot drive it, that the car has to stay in the shop and wait for a part to arrive sometime next week. This problem is separate from the other problems i have experienced:1). The right front seat heater come on and heats up to extremely uncomfortable degrees-- dealer says they cannot find a problem. 2). The navigation system goes blank-- doesn't work-- dealer can't find the problem3). A warning and beeping that the front right seat belt needs to be fastened-- and no one is in the seat, just a cell phone. This golf only has 10,600 miles on it.... Did i purchase a lemon?the date below is the last time the problem occurred. It may or may not have anything to do with it but the car did not have this problem until after the transmission software update was done in february.
I drove the car to a meeting on thursday evening, jan 4th, 2018.parked it in a residential home office parking area in santa fe, nm at 6pm.at 6:10pm another person arrived to the meeting and said she saw flames by a red car.it was my golf.several of us went out with pots of water and a hose to contain the fire.moved the other vehicles away from it to avoid it spreading.the flames came down from the engine onto the ground in front of the bumper.it was smoky and smelt horrible. We were able to contain the fire. When the fire dept arrived they used a special tool to pry the hood open and used the residential garden hose to douse the engine to stop the smoldering and reduce the heat of the vehicle to assure it would not ignite again. Thecar was assessed as totaled.i just bought it from vw uptown abq.it was a tdi that had the modification for the emissions class action suit.
I was in hayward on the 880 freeway (flat, dry road) in rush hour traffic, in the hov lane going about 40 mph, and my vw e-golfjust shut down and showed the error "electrical system failure: stop!". I had enough momentum to coast 5 feet over to the left side (center divider) i could not make it completely out of the lane. Cars were laying on their horn and speeding past me while my bumper hung out a foot into the lane. The car is 3 months old. It had a charge of 86 miles when it happened, i had it on a charging station it showed i charged my car accumulated (kwh): 29.523. The radio, windows, bluetooth and all other electrical powered instruments still worked. I pressed the power button off and turned it on again , the error still remained, and the car would not "turn on".
When i started my car, the engine jumped and the car shook. I tried to drive it but couldn't get more than 10 feet without it constantly feeling like it was both starting and stalling, and rocking back and forth. I had to park it, and even when completely stopped the car would shake and the engine made a terrible noise. My car started to smell really bad. The dealership tells me that it is a coil failure in the engine, which caused complete engine failure and left me stranded.
When i'm in traffic stop and go between 11mph to 18 mph at low rpm (1,100 to 1,800 rpm) the vehicle feels like shaking in the engine or transmission like i'm driving a manual car but my car is automatic. Now when going up a incline at 30 to 33 mph vehicle does the same problem.

The contact owns a 2015 volkswagen golf. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 15v705000 (engine and engine cooling, service brakes, hydraulic) and was unable to determine when the parts would become available for longer than a month. The dealer and the manufacturer informed the contact to wait until the second notice was mailed to determine when the parts were available. The manufacturer was unable to provide a time frame that the parts would be supplied to the dealer. The contact had not experienced a failure. Vin tool confirms parts not available.

1.brakes - backing and putting brakes on then into drive there is a popping noise from the rear end.brakes squeak at low speeds, when braking at low speeds they squeal and grab, when braking at high speeds they grind.this has been from the beginning when the car was new until now.two dealerships state "there is nothing they can do".2. Coolant - continuous coolant smell in cab and around car after driving for any distance.dealership has replaced cap, reservoir and hoses. State, "nothing more to do until a recall comes out".

Thermostat elbow leaking
The first time, backing out of a parking space in parking lot started to go forward and the car just shut off on its own. It has done this several times leaving me in in harms way trying to pull out into traffic it just shuts off arbitrarily no telling when its going to happen. Also have had people in the car with me when it has happened.[ kinda like playing russian roulette ] have had it to the dealers three times inside of 2300 and they have found nothing. First time 1 daysecond time 7 days, more than likely 3 or 4 more days at dealer now. Three of the times happened just starting to pull outon to the street. One in a parking space backed out started to go and it died. One time turning on city streets . To me might be fuel pump or something electrical.
Very rough idle/dangerous loss of powerelectronic power control light illuminates. Car develops issue in 2 instances, will idle smoothly at rest and then epc light will illuminate and very rough idle will ensue with entire car shaking. Car must be shutoff and restarted to correct. Once restarted car will idle normally and light is off. Second issue is with car at load, driving normal speeds when epc light will come on and engine power is dramatically reduced making for extremely hazardous condition if pulling out or accelerating in traffic. Sudden loss of power can only beresolved if safe place available to pullover and restart the car. Vw dealer says they can only repair car if it displays behavior at shop. Since light is off when restarted it is not running poorly when driven in for service they state no problem found. They claim the ecu fault code does not tell them the cause only that it happened even though other diagnostic tools describe throttle body issues or bad sparkplug coils may be at fault. White knuckle issue which eliminates confidence in day to day driving. There is no warning involved it just happens. Casual research into these symptoms results in an alarming number of owners who have experienced same issues. Car unsafe to drive when power loss manifests itself. Many others also describe a faulty wiring harness for throttle body for which there is an internal vw tsb but dealers say is timeconsuming and they are not reimbursed for in a timely manner by vw of na. Disappointment and then some.

Thermostat housing & associated seals on the current 1.8l and 2.0l volkswagen/audi ea888 gen 3 engine are prone to failure, causing loss of engine coolant. This could affect any vw/audi vehicle using the 1.8 or 2.0l ea888 gen 3 engine. Vw has a long history of water pump/thermostat housing issues and the current generation of vehicles is no exception.many other reports can be found on various online forums such as reddit.com, golfmk7.com and vwvortex.com, etc. This is a costly out of warranty repair requiring removal of the intake manifold and has been reported online by owners of 2015 '2019 us my vehicles. Some vehicles, such as ours, experienced a repeat failure. There are three failure modes that i am aware of as reported on the sites mentioned above. My wife and i have experienced failure modes 1 and 2. When this issue is occurring owners often report the smell of coolant outside the vehicle1. Housing heating/cooling causes expansion/contraction and warping resulting in a slow weep or leak from thermostat housing assembly & associated seal, most of the time not detectable at the housing assembly/seal without pressure test. Often, vw service centers are unable to verify there is a leak, even after pressure test, owners are sent on their way, and yet coolant still disappears from the tank. My wife's car went in for testing multiple times before issue was found.2. Housing heating/cooling causes expansion/contraction and warping resulting in a small but constant leak large enough to create a small puddle or stream under the car. A low coolant alert may/may not appear depending on speed of the leak. 3. Housing heating/cooling causes expansion/contraction and warping resulting in a sudden catastrophic failure resulting in rapid loss of coolant and causing a visible large puddle under the car and a warning alert to appear on the dashboard.

The paint near a bolt for engine support on this alleged new car is damaged, and bare metal is exposed. As the rust develops, the engine support may fail, and the engine block may go out of position. This can cause fatal accident. Below is the picture of the paint damage. This is a second repair for a failed thermostat housing/water pump on this vehicle. The first time, januaary 2019, the thermostat housing and related seals were replaced. This time the thermostat housing and water pump were both replaced.

The drivers side high beam is not aimed properly, it is pointed below the cut-off line of the low beam.the head lamp assembly has been replaced by the dealer twice but the aim was not improved.volkswagen was contacted, they evaluated the situation and said that this was the way the system was designed and so could not be fixed.the dealer also said that they looked at other cars of this same model and they all operated the same.both the high and low beam reflectors are mounted in a common housing and the assembly only has one adjustment so both beams move up and down by the same amount.this appears to be a design defect.i feel this is a safety hazard as only one of the high beams is illuminating the road.
The contact owns a 2015 volkswagen golf. The contact stated that while driving or while the vehicle was parked, fuel leaked from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to centro de servicio flagship volkswagen (carr. #2, km 14.7 hato tejas, bayamn, 00959, puerto rico) and was diagnosed that the subcision pump, filter and fuel tank needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired since the warranty had expired. The contact mentioned that the vehicle was previously repaired under nhtsa campaign number: 16v647000 (fuel system, gasoline, engine and engine cooling) however, the repair failed to correct the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided a case number. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.
After 60000 miles the ad blue def system malfunctioned causing the engine to shut down after 600 miles. We stopped and refilled the def but the malfunction persisted. The problem was finally diagnosed as a malfunction pump. The part was backordered nationwide according to the dealer suggesting this is a frequent failure. A recall should be considered. The repair cost $1300 and the car has been out of service for 4 days and no part is yet available0
The ad blue tank heater in my car has gone bad and will cost $1800 to repair.this happened just outside the 36,000 miles warranty window at around 40,000 miles.this has been a problem since 2016 or before. Vw, in addition to the emissions issues, refuses to cover this. The car will not drive unless this is fixed. It is a very expensive repair for a very low amount of mileage.this should be recalled so that customers are not eating $1800, especially on behalf the vw, who lies and cheats their consumers.https://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2016/02/volkswagen-tdi-owners-being-stuck-with-1000-adblue-heater-repairs-still-not-epa-compliant/

Rust on fuel filter housing discovered during 60k mile fuel filter change of 2015 golf tdi (see photo). Told this can lead to potential major damage to high pressure fuel pump if particles come off.only use high-quality diesel so not sure how this happened.
The engine will shut off without warning. The electronic stability control error message comes up on the information display along with a tpms error. This has happened in intersections and has put me in danger of collisions from sudden decelerations without warning. The car will usually start after the ignition button is depressed again. It may happen up to four times before it quits stalling. The error messages clear after it is moving again.it has even happened once on the highway.
The contact owns a 2015 volkswagen golf. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v647000 (engine and engine cooling, fuel system, gasoline). The car smells like gas from the air vents. I have made multiple attempts for the dealer to fix it, but their response is "your serial numbers are not part of the recall". That's fine, but it smells like gas inside the car!
Failure of adblue emissions system. Dealer replaced pump failed again before leaving work bay
At less than 20,000 miles the glow plug light started coming on while driving at highway speeds and then the vehicle loses power, dropping down to about 30mph.shutting engine off corrects but will reoccur next time vehicle is started after being parked for the day.then the check engine light and service now lights also come on.took to vw dealer, after 4 hours told it was a fuel problem with metal in the fuel.a sample must be sent to vws lab and it will take weeks for an answer.they are presumptively blaming bad fuel and will not cover under warranty.i believe the fuel pump is the source of the metal in the fuel as there has been a bearing squeal noise for about 2 weeks before this happened.i don't have any documents to attach as they still have the vehicle at the dealership.

I've been through three transmissions since i purchased the car three years ago. The first transmission went out due to mechanic error, vw put a new one in that one fail catastrophically but vw blamed the fail on the flywheel (it had hotspots on it) paid $4000 for a used transmission (with 32k on it) and new clutch and flywheel. Now that one failed when i was driving down the interstate it was constantly slipping out of 5th gear and it was hard to shift it into a lower gear..i've never had issues like this before i've been driving manual for 7 years. I'm wondering what is causing all these transmissions to fail.
Car would not move after a stop and then accelerated rapidly.

When trying to accelerate from a complete stop, the vehicle sometimes lags then accelerates abruptly or it bucks twice before accelerating smoothly. It needs a calibration update for the powertrain. Updated 09/15/15*lj
Vehicle is intermittently showing error 'error: service vehicle, leave only on p'. Error happens randomly, but usually during or just after driving in wet conditions. Always while the vehicle is in motion. Gear shift assembly was replaced two years previously to address the problem, but now the errors are back. Same symptoms as campaign number 18v464000, vw service recall 37l5, however no recall is listed for this vin.
Over time, a build-up of silicate on the shift lever micro switch contacts can make it possible to remove the key from the ignition switch without the shift lever being in the "p" park position. This makes the vehicle noncompliant with 49 cfr 571.114 standard no. 114 theft protection and rollaway prevention. If the ignition key is removed without the shift lever being in the "p" park position, there is a risk that the vehicle may roll away, resulting in a crash that could injure people and damage property.
The contact owns a 2015 volkswagen golf. While driving 20 mph and attempting to accelerate to 30 mph, the steering wheel and vehicle would vibrate. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the axle needed to be repaired. The axle was repaired; however, the steering wheel continued to vibrate. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 800.
The car makes noises when going over bumps or around corners as the body rolls back and forth i think it is the recall that was issued # 10122609 about the seats and a gap between a tab and the seat frame. My car was not included in this recall.it should have been included.
I don't know what type of airbags they are, i've had to have my clutch replaced, waterpump and thermostat and my heater cores, now my coolant hose has gone out all this in let than 3 months and i have also had to replace, rotors two times in two years it's got to be some wrong i take good care of my car it only have 72686 miles on it.

Under normal operation the release button for the parking/emergency brake can come out and result in the parking brake not clicking into the engaged position.if this were to happen when the car was unattended it would result in the car rolling away and possibly killing or injuring someone.

Kept hearing a clicking noise when turning steering wheel. Today when backing into a parking spot, there was a real loud click, almost like a snap, and my air bag error message immediately showed up and none of the buttons on my steering wheel would work anymore
I was driving home from work today on the interstate and it sounded like a shotgun went off.my sunroof shattered.i looked up and there was a huge hole in the middle.it was about 68 degrees f, so it wasn't cold.i have a garmin dash cam so i went home and reviewed the video looking for an object coming from the sky or road just before the sound in the video.nothing.i don't believe that anything hit the sunroof.i did not hit any potholes.the glass just exploded.i googled gti sunroof break and found someone in canada with the same story.i think vw has an issue.
The paint near a bolt for engine support on this alleged new car is damaged, and bare metal is exposed. As the rust develops, the engine support may fail, and the engine block may go out of position. This can cause fatal accident. Below is the picture of the paint damage. The chrome trim around the shifter level is extremely sharp and is a safety hazard.reaching into the storage compartment in front of the shifter, my finger caught this sharp edge and was seriously cut.there was a lot of blood and pain as a result.an online search reveals that this type of injury is not uncommon.
Two foam pieces, one on the left and the other on the right, in the engine compartment are wrapped in translucent vinyl. Since the vinyl cannot withstand the heat, it can cause fire. Loud knock is produced when there is body flex (tight turns, speed bumps, changes in elevation) on the driver side b-pillar. Brought into auburn volkswagen to diagnose, and was told they could find nothing wrong with the vehicle. Took the vehicle to a body shop and had them reproduce the noise. Was told it is likely a bad weld from the b-pillar to the roof, and should be fixed immediately as it's a safety concern.contacted the dealership and was told they were not able to deal with any issues concerning the body of the car.contacted volkswagen of america, and have been passed around between customer service agents without been given assistance.
Broken rear spring, impacting handling and preventing safe operation of the vehicle. I discovered this after noting handling issues and clunking noises from the rear of the vehicle. There were no warning lamps

Parked car in driveway, in the morning panoramic sunroof was completely shattered. Not an attempted break in, it appears spontaneous, like pressure built up in the glass made it explode or burst.
Premature clutch failure at 32,000 miles (this car already had two defective parts at 9,000 miles - the timing chain cover and oil level sensor.)car started making screeching noise when driving, had it towed to dealer who said it wasn't making any sound when they drove it, and they didn't see anything wrong.one week later, burning smell from vents, now dealer says clutch has failed.

1st incident in january 2016i was driving on highway and construction barrell rolled across highway.my forward collision warning system did not activate; i had to hit the barrell; lots of damage to my car; the bosch radar warning system is held in place with plastic and it broke off during collision.2nd incident, april 2016hit a rubber cone that had fallen out of a truck on the highway.the warning system sensor broke off again. When i purchased the car new,i paid extra for the expensive $1,000 +driver assistance package with forward collision warning system.it has not only failed me twice, it breaks easily because a piece of plastic holds it in place.i have looked around and have not seen any other cars where this important sensor is positioned so openly and is so vulnerable to being hit by small objects and breaking and not making the car respond.this poorly designed safety device is very fragile.even the volkswagon dealership agreed that it is a poor design and the collision warning system will only work if there is to be a collision with another car.this important safety device breaks off too easily. Did not have police report for first incident, but had insurance claim..police report number for the second incident is 16-011613 (durham, n.c.).the part i am most concerned about is: bosch, radar sensor, 5q0907561f.

I was traveling on an interstate highway at approximately 70 miles an hour and my sunroof exploded without warning.temperatures outside were in the mid 90's, time of day was 6:00 pm, i had air conditioning running and sunroof and interior shade totally closed.after the explosion, the sunroof was bowed from the inside out (convex curve) and the safety glass was shattered in weblike pieces.i pulled over as soon as possible and i was missing glass from the middle of the roof about the size of an oblong watermelon.

When i put my hand insidethe compartment below the air conditioner knobs and in front of the shift-sticki cut myself ( two fingers ) with the edge of the metal part near it. That metal part is exposed and is sharp and cuts like a thin paper or a knife. The vehicle was parked.
Car has shut down after stopping 4 times now starting in june of this year last incident was 11 sept 2015 took to kalamazoo vw service did not find any fault codes also key fob will not unlock car within range or not start vehicle will state key fob not in range when trying to start with key in car.
Was reaching across front console when metal trim near shifter seems to be released and acted like a razor blade cutting my hand severely.

When i start my car in the morning the code error service vehicle. Only leave vehicle in p position! it goes away but flashes again as i'm driving down the highway or a regular road or turning either right or left. The error message comes on and just as quickly goes away, only to return again in minutes or hours.
Error: service vehicle. Only leave vehicle in p position. This warning light comes on intermittently while driving for only a second or two. It occurs both highway and city driving. This has been going on since november 2018. Dealer says to ignore. Internet groups indicate a common problem with 2015 vw golf. Shifter problem that vw is not adressing..
I'm a driver who drive this car when i tried to turn left the vehicle has airbag pop up and the car was stopped and hit when im off the freeway
The clockspring broke about 1 year ago i had it replaced. It broke again last week.the airbag is disabled as is the horn and cruise control.

The model above is a golf tdi with a 6 speed manual transmission....as i was driving in 6th gear at 60 m.p.h. With the cruise engaged i came upon a down grade and as i have done for close to 50 years and numerous standard transmission cars, down shifted to 5th to allow engine braking downhill. When i let the clutch back out the car accelerated instead of slowing because the cruise never cancelled. It was trying to bring me back to the set 60 m.p.h. Set speed. Took the car to the dealer, ganley vw north olmstead ohio, on 6/8/15, and after they looked at it i was told this was "normal" this was never "normal" with any other car i have owned and if so it definitely is not a safe feature.
When vw updated the software to correct the defective camshaft, they disabled the cruise control features and are unable and unwilling to correct, the vehicle is running when this disabled feature impacts the car under all driving conditions.
In 3 separate instances, while driving at highway speeds (65-72 mph), the cruise control has disengaged, causing sudden and rapid deceleration of the vehicle.in all instances, the pavement was dry, i was not tailgating, and feet were not near the brake (i.e. I did not accidentally hit the brake).this is a dangerous scenario.will be taking the car into dealer in a few weeks, but unsure they will be able to reproduce or diagnose the problem.several other owners of golfs have reported this same issue on the tdi forum.
Rural road in florida, cruise control set to speed limit of 45 mph. Approaching a sharp curve, i down shifted my manual transmission from 5th to 3rd to slow down to an appropriate speed of about 35 mph.when i released the clutch, and began steering into the curve, the car's cruise control re-engaged and i found myself struggling to steer around the curve at 45 mph.exact model is golf sportwagen tdi sel with manual transmission.vw's own instruction video says that when the clutch pedal is depressed the cruise control dis-engages and that the driver must press the resume button for the cruise control to be re-engaged.in my 50 years of operating automobiles, every car with cruise control and a manual transmission has operated per the instructions in the vw video.upon careful reading of the owner's manual i found the following disclaimer:"changing gears when cruise control is active ... The cruise control reduces acceleration as soon as the clutch pedal is pressed, and automatically continue to regulate speed after a gear change."this non-standard behavior may soon lead to people being killed.
Inside windowsin the winterat different temperatures frost over after sitting. I have to scrap my windshield , vw dealership told me it is built that way. Jay the service manager told meother 2015 models do the same thing and there is nothing wrong with my car.
The panoramic sunroof on my 2015 vw golf se spontaneously exploded while driving approximately 60 mph on the freeway at approximately 9:15 pm on 2/27/2017 on highway 880 in oakland, about 1/2 mile south of the oracle coliseum. No cars were near me and i was not under a bridge, thus no evidence that the sunroof was struck by an external object. There was also no visible evidence of damage to the glass prior to entering the vehicle, i check every time i buy gas. The glass shattered suddenly in a loud explosion that sounded like a gunshot and shards were scattered throughout the interior of the vehicle and covered myself and my passenger - although most of the shards blew outward and landed on the road.the experience was extremely frightening and could have caused serious injuries. Luckily i was able to maintain calm and slowly drive off the freeway rather than jerking the wheel when the explosion happened. The only injuries are emotional and 12 hours later i am still finding small shards of glass on my person (hair, inside my mouth and nose, on my clothes).
I purchased a 2015 vw golf tdi with 18" wheels and low profile pirelli tires august 2014.this vehicle was re-engineered for the us market to make room for the urea tank that is new and specific to the us tdi platform.all other golf models have an independent suspension system while this model was downgraded to a torsion beam rear suspension.the vehicle is equipped on lower end models with 16" wheels and higher profile tires, but the high end vehicles have the 18" wheels and low profile tires as standard equipment.on april 25, i noticed a sidewall bubble on a front tire. Vw replaced both the tire and bent rim and i was told the other 3 rims were bent.then the other front tire had a sidewall blowout and both that tire and wheel were replaced. The other week i ended up with a side wall nail in a rear tire.this tire was replaced but not the wheel and i was told that all wheels are bent, including the 2 new wheels. I have just under 18000 miles on the vehicle, have called vw america and was sent the spec sheet on the car.i asked if a car without independent suspension was engineered for low profile tires and asked for someone to explain why i have had 2 sidewall issues and 6 bent rims in under 18,000 miles and 11 months without any response other than vw america sending the spec sheet.i feel that this is a safety issue and asked for the specific engineering approval of low profile tires with this suspension system and was told vw america does not have this information and would not provide it to me if they did.
I was driving on 210n pasadena fwy with my girlfriend and off ave43 around 4am.i tried to turn wheel for off but airbag from wheel come out while i turn off fwyand that day i just went to one of vwdealer for check some thing and after that i got a logo of vw on my hand like a tattoo and my car it was total loss.my girlfriend she was pain inside her back because we both got an accident from somebody hit behind my car.i bought a new car and first time buyer and i never know about gap insurance on that time i just bought for about 2month and still own that money effect to my credit until now.
