Received airbag recall notice from vw.called local dealer was referred to vw america.vw is doing nothing for customers as nhtsa has not issued a do not drive order.how many deaths will it take to force vw into doing what is right for consumers or for nhtsa to issue a do not drive order?.if my wife drives her car,and is injured, i will be holding vw and the nhtsa responsible.

I called findlay vw in henderson nv to make appt to have airbag replaced. They said vw does not "have a remedy" and they have no idea when the air bag can be replaced. It is common knowledge vw is dragging their feet in replacing these takata airbags. I want to sell this car since i only bought it in 9/2015. Where can i get the airbag replaced? i have a three year platinum extended warranty thru that covers the airbags. I do not want to drive the car because of the danger. I have read where other manufacturers and replacing the airbags at a good steady pace except for vw, which doesn't seem to be replacing any. What gives? who can i seek recourse from?

My car is part of takata airbag recall. Dealer wil not repair or provide loaner vehicle. My safety and my family's safety is at serious risk. That is unacceptable.i tried selling the car but was offered ridiculously low value due to recall.so they won't fix it and further will penalize me financially when trying to trade it. I want my car fixed now or a loaner vehicle provided

As i was backing out of a parking spot on 12/29/17, not quite 3 months after i bought the car, the clock spring failed, which meant no airbags. Since i knew this was previously an issue, i contacted vw directly since the recall was not coming up at the dealership. They told me that the part had been previously fixed in 2016 under the recall, and even though the part failed again in less than 2 years, it wasn't covered under warranty.

Takata recall. Recalled october 2018 for replacing the airbag unit, recall completed. In nov. Dec. 2018 received phone calls telling us the wrong part had been fitted and we should return to the dealer joseph vw 3813 montgomery road, cincinnati ohio 45212. Returned car to dealer who after 2 1/2 hours could not get the wrong part off. Dealer to contact vw for instructions. Came back next day to collect the car. I found that back in october a new air bag assembly had been fitted which was the correct part. The wrong part was infact that only a new igniter was to be fitted. The dealer claimed he had kept the old airbag assembly, removed the new assembly from the vehicle and changed the igniter from the new assembly to the old assembly and reinstalled the old assembly. The problem was that the mechanic could not get the part off which was stuck to the assembly. To reinstall the new igniter it needed modification which the mechanic undertook and replaced with an uncalibrated torque wrench. I refused to sign the original invoice and only signed when i corrected the wording. My wife who drives the car is concernedthat this mis match of modified parts is still less than 100% safe and will not drive our grandchildren to and from school.the dealer stated that they would replace the airbag at no charge to the consumer.

Takata recallit's been over a year. Today, before filing this, i called the dealer one last time to check on remedy. They said the part was in, come on down it will only take an hour. I drove the 20 miles only to be told, "sorry, there's still no remedy for your model." i've been forced to drive a car that vw knows could explode in my face. No options were offered.

Takata recall. I leased this vehicle and then purchased it from the dealer. He sold it to me after the airbag issues were known and did not advise me of that before purchase. Also i have been given no date on which the deadly airbags will be fixed. I was notified in february 2016. I am afraid my car will be hit and the airbags will kill me. When is something going to be done to force vw to give its car owners a loaner until this issue is fixed?

While driving a 2012 vw eos, the engine stumbled and unloaded tons of smoke out of the rear of the car. This incident occurred while driving the car at a high rate of speed and caused a dangerous situation. The dealership replaced the defective fuel injector, which happens to be under warranty for 120,000 miles. The issue i have is that vw will not proactively replace the defective fuel injectors, potentially causing 3 more dangerous situations. Additionally, when a fuel injector fails there is a high probability of a catalytic converter failure due to the engine misfire. This happened to me and vw would not cover the failure of the catalytic converter - which seems unfair, especially in light of vw's issue with its recent emission scandal. I had 2 independent mechanics verify the impact a failed fuel injector has, yet my volkswagen dealership did not agree mine was caused by a failed injector.

Takata recalli have contacted tom bush volkswagen in jacksonville fl twice regarding the repair for the recall on my vehicle.i was told parts would be available after august 5 2018.to date, i still am unable to have this recall repair completed as i am told parts are not available.

Takata inflators:nothing has happened yet, but since the recall says that serious injury or death may occur because of the faulty airbag i am concerned that it has taken so long and we still do not have any indication of when this will be fixed.

The takata recall (#16v078) occurred over 1 year ago on february 9, 2016, and there is still no fix.per this recall, driving my car is dangerous, and has been now for over a year.vw has provided no updates on the availability or potential timing of a fix.

I took my 2012 vw eos to them for a clock spring failure which is under a recall. They told me that it did not fall under the recall because they put a dust cover over the clock spring in 2015. I told the that there is no way the mechanic who did the work could guarantee that no debris got into the clock spring during the 3 years prior to the dust cover being installed.i also told them that the feds opened another investigation in oct 2017 for vw not doing enough to fix the problem with the poorly designed part in 2015. I told the manager at the dealership about this and he said there was nothing he could do. He said that when the dust cover was put on they never got close to the clock spring. I told him that they didn't have to get close to the clock spring because debris had already gotten into the clock spring during the 3 years prior to it being installed which compromised the clock spring leading to the premature failure of the clock spring.i don't know if he understood what i was saying or was just blowing me off.

Takata recall - even though vw published public notice of this air bag recall on april 12, 2016, we still haven't been notified of a scheduled replacement.we should be on a priority listing since we live in a sub-tropical climate (sc) and our vehicle is among the older installations (2012). We have never been contacted by vw.

Vw recall69l2 airbag -clock spring failure nhrsa campain #15v483000

"takata recall" vw is dragging their feet and pushing back on the nhtsa about this recall and the public is suffering over it. I called both douglas vw summit, nj and vw of america corp offices and no one knows when this will be available to fix.meanwhile my wife rides around with a grenade in front of her. Vw corp refused me a loaner until they get this fix available. Meanwhile yet another tragic death in texas from the shrapnel cutting the jugular vein and corroded artery of this poor girl. Who is next, while vw drags their feet. Recall notice was dec 2015 or jan 2016

The vw safety recall 15v483- safety recall 69l2 on the clock spring- vw did their "fix" when i took it in 2016, however the steering wheel clock spring went bad (loss of steering control when backing up- also controls steering wheel controls such as cruise control) still- when i contacted vw service they ran my vin and stated the problem was taken care of under the 2016 recall and it would only be fixed for cost.- obviously it did not take care of it.i took it into a private vendor of german cars who replaced the clock spring - total cost $543.98i feel that vw needs to expand this recall as they didn't do enough

Takata recall - we went to vw dealer of van nuys on aug 17, 2018 and they stated that part have been special order. I have followed up with phone calls to dealer on dec 26, 2018 and they stated to call back in 2 week, so we followed up on 1/3/19 and still on national back order with no estimate date of arrival.

April 1016 received a racall notice regarding 69m9 takata sdi driver frontal airbag.called many times, no parts.called today, one yer later, no parts.has volkswagen defaulted on their promise to replace this faulty part.i know they have challenged the recall, but i was under the impression that they would comply.vw refused to supply a replacement car. Know that in tests this particular air bag failed.

Takata recall.after being informed my vehicle is subject to the takata recall, the dealership has refused to rectify the situation time and time again.i fear everyday for my life because of this situation and the dealership continues to deny responsibility.please help!i will not wait for a catastrophe to happen for them to do anything about it. My life is definitely in their hands and my safety is their responsibility.

Safety recall 69m9 letter received 5/16/16, was told still no parts 6/6/16, was told still no parts 11/11/16.i think 10 months is to long.

2012 volkswagen eos komfort. Consumer writes in regard to vehicle airbag safety recall.*asthe consumer stated since the airbag recall was completed, the air bag warning light illuminated on multiple occasions.

There are no parts available to replace the airbags that have been recalled and are a threat to life if they deploy. I bought out my lease two years ago and i believe they knew of this issue but let me buy the car anyway. Also, the recall just said the airbag didn't work properly, not that shards of metal could kill me if it deployed. I only learned this saturday while at the dealer after i put over $300 fixing the start button and $700 putting on new tires. The dealer said he would buy my car for $12,000 only if i bought another vw. This car is a threat to my life and i don't want to drive it. Please take action so we are not forced to gamble with our lives while driving a vehicle we bought and maintained in good faith!

Notified last feb of airbag recall - called local dealer - southern vw of chesapeake and have received no further word

I bought the vehicle on 02/15/2013 it only have 10,000 miles on it. Then as soon as it hit 68,500miles and went out of warranty. I had just had it serviced for the last time under warranty on 6/21/2019 at 67,996 miles. The timing chain snapped and bent all the valves. I had to rebuild the engine. Which coasted a fortune. I saw that their were a bunch of class action suites going on against volkswagen for similar issue but was dealing with a family crisis that ended poorly and went into a state of depression from the death of multiple family members back to back so i never followed up on it. Now my car is at 80,000 miles and seems to be experiencing electrical problems as well as problems with the cd player it progressed and now all disk spaces say error and i cant play cds. When i could get it working it was fine until turning off the car then opening the door i heard noises from the player when starting the car it says error in all the disk spacesand half the time wont even let me load the disk. I bought a used 2012 eos in september of 2015.since owning the car, i have had to replace all 4 ignition coils twice, in less than a year of owning this car.the first time happened 3 weeks after i bought the car.the vehicle is in motion, then fails to accelerate.it does not transition from the lower gears to the higher gears smoothly and i am constantly in fear of getting stranded.

The contact owns a 2012 volkswagen eos. While driving approximately 20 mph, the vehicle jerked forward and failed to accelerate as the check engine and epc warning lights illuminated. I was trying to merge onto expressway traffic and when i pushed on the accelerator the car was unresponsive. It created an unsafe situation where i had to hit the brakes and let the traffic pass by, then i put the car in manual shift so that i could accelerate enough to merge with traffic. The inability to control the speed of the vehicle due to no response from the engine happens usually around speeds of 55 to 65 miles an hour. I have noticed that the car has a delay that takes 1 or 2 seconds when gas pedal is pressed and car start shaking. This results in a lose of power and does not allow me to safely maneuver the vehicle in emergency and non-emergency situations.

My 2012 vw eos shut off while driving on the highway. The car needed to be towed to the repair shop. The timing change completely malfuction by mechanical failure. The car has had all services, great condition and only 55,000 miles. Cost to repair the car is over $3,000.

My 2012 vw eos had a tensioner chain jump 5 teeth with no warning. And now that is supposed to cost my over 4,000$ to repair according to the dealership i had it towed to from my house. I tried to start it and it just wouldn't start. I took it to the dealership, they sold me a new battery, charged me a couple hundred dollars to tell me that this faulty part is what caused it. The car only had about 80k miles on it with very regular servicing and i believe there is a systemic issue going on here. Please assist.

The 2.0t tsi engine was made with a faulty timing chain tensioner which will fail and cause the timing chain to break causing immediate catastrophic engine damage putting the driver and occupants in danger because of loss of power and difficulty steering.fortunately for us, the timing chain tensioner failed while the car was started and parked in our garage.

The contact owns a 2012 volkswagen eos. While driving at approximately 35 mph, the vehicle jerked and the accelerator pedal was depressed but the vehicle did not accelerate. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the cylinder one fuel injector was stuck open and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 67,000.

Timing belt adjuster failed, lost oil pressure and and damaged valves.the engine needs to be replaced.69664 miles.

I have a 2012 vw eos with 75,000 miles, maintained regularly. Last month the timing chain tensioner failed and fell into the engine while it was moving, destroying the remainder of the engine (lost compression on 3 of 4 cylinders, engine replacement was $6,980 with my private mechanic-no used engines are available nationwide so i had to purchase new). There are many complaints about this happening to others on the internet.i contacted vw customer service, who said it was not recalled. There are at least two class action lawsuits about this same issue affecting others and one private lawsuit in nj. I spoke to an attorney and personal law suit will be too expensive for me.note also, i called nhtsa in september and filed a compliant over the phone--i added my compliant at that time but it does not appear to be registered on this nhtsa website.

00927 - terminal 30 (right)011 - open circuit01516 - terminal 30; left011 - open circuit - intermittent i believe this is a major fire hazard and also will leave you stranded.based on the codes and physical condition of the issue apparently many other people have had the same problem. Http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/00927_-_terminal_30_(right) the noticeable thing is the a/c turns off and once the car is turned off you will not be able to lock the doors or turn the car back on.

On march 18, 2016 i was driving my car and it began to shake and shutter as if i had a flat tire. It would also not accelerate. Fortunately i was able to pull onto the side of the highway and check for a flat. I did not have a flat. I had my car towed to the dealer and they determined that one of the four fuel injectors was faulty. They informed me that volkswagen was having issues with fuel injectors and that it was going to be covered under warranty even though my car was out of warranty. I asked them to replace all four of the fuel injectors since they were having issues with them, but they would not do so. The dealer only replaced one of the fuel injectors.i contacted volkswagen customer care on march 21, 2016 and i was told that vw had issued a warranty extension on fuel injectors and they were now covered for 10 years/120,000 miles. I asked if they would be able to replace the three original fuel injectors, since i am now concerned about the safety of my car. They told me that they would not do that since they were operating properly. I pointed out that it would be safer to be proactive and replace the three original fuel injectors since they were installed at the same time as the one that was replaced and could very well fail in the future. Vw told me that they would not do so. I am therefore contacting you to see if you could intervene on my behalf and have vw replace the three original fuel injectors.thank youcc: vw customer care3800 west hamlin rdauburn hills, mi 48326

Vehicle continues to stall while at low idle or stopped.several attempts of fixing this issue at the dealership has failed to identify and correct the issue.the dealership first replaced the spark plugs and coil packs, two moths later when the same issue occurred they replaced the high pressure fuel pump and two months later the car is in the shop for the same issue. Ontwo occasions my car stalled while driving on the highway.

My automatic transmission is slipping and then clunks into gear. I bought the car used at the end of april 2017. I took it to the vw dealership and they found metal shavings in the transmission fluid. The "warranty" ran out at 60,000 miles, i have 64,000 miles on it. They want $7100 to replace the transmission and vw headquarters refuses to offer any help at all.

1st time pulling up to the airport parking gate transmission disengaged, unable to move the car for about 5 to 10 minutes. 2nd time on the onramp of the highway entering traffic, transmission disengaged again. Returned the car to the dealer for repair.

Driving on the highway at 50+ and the transmission quit( like we were in neutral ). Had to maneuver across traffic to the shoulder. Restarted and vehicle drove fine til next day and it happened again.code was checked and it said no communication with transmission module i'm the second owner and the vehicle has less than 78,000 miles

Here is my story...transmission will go into neutral state while driving. Finally failed on 2/2013.mechatron unit replaced.problem continued.they blamed third party rear view camera which i deactivated.vehicle was taken back in on march 12, 2103 at which time they replaced the shifter mechanism.told me every thing ok.i kept having intermittent issues.after car going into neutral state in middle of traffic i took care back in, august 27, 2013.they told me they found no faults and car was running according to factory specifications and they could not do anything.at which time i started carrying a video camera in the car.it failed a few times but i was not able to record be cause by the time i got camera ready car went back to normal operation.on 1/27/14 it failed long enough for me to record the event (i have a recording).i was in the middle of traffic and transmission went into a neutral state.i took it to deal who ran diagnostics and found no faults.after watching video service manager called vw who told them to run a software update.i asked to meet with factory representative and they could not give me a date as to when he is available.on 1/31/14 i opened case # 14008852 with vw advocacy group 800-822-8987.they have been pretty useless.as i explained that i feel unsafe driving vehicle they said it was repaired, but cannot guarantee safety.they also said they did not know when the factory rep, bill manson will be available to meet with me.i asked for a loaner until such time and they could not provide a loaner.they told me i have to pick up vehicle and return the loaner that i currently have.i plan to do this tomorrow but honestly i will probably get rid of the vehicle asap.any advise or recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Vw recall69l2 airbag -clock spring failure nhrsa campain #15v483000

The contact owns a 2012 volkswagen eos. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated and remained lit. In addition, the horn failed to sound. The vehicle was repaired per nhtsa campaign number: 15v483000 (air bags); however, the failure recurred. The contact called sunnyvale volkswagen (1025 e el camino real, sunnyvale, ca 94087) and was informed that he would have to pay for the repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Notified last feb of airbag recall - called local dealer - southern vw of chesapeake and have received no further word

Broken front coil spring. It is available for inspection broken spring can dislodge potentially causing a tire rupture and steering issue also occurred on my other previously owned 2012 vw eos where both front coil springs broke within 6 mo. Of each other. That vehicle had around 60k miles. No no

This is ridiculous. This car is my biggest regret of my life. Its a night mare there have been more issues but these are the biggest and most recent issues.

Key is binding in the ignition cylinder and won't come out.

The contact owns a 2012 volkswagen eos. The contact stated while driving approximately 60 mph the sunroof fractured into small pieces. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the mechanic diagnosed that the entire glass sunroof needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the problem.
