"takata recall" i was sent a letter describing this recall and the potential danger to myself of anyone driving the vehicle. It stated that it could deploy at any time and that the shards of metal from the bag could kill or disfigure me and also could harm other motorists. Part still is not available. My question is should i continue driving this vehicle and gamble it wont kill myself or others or can i make them furnish me a vehicle until parts are available for the recall repair?thank you: [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
Takata recall
Takata recall with no repair yet available. For how long do i drive around with a deadly car?
Takata recall---received letter statingthat the airbag in the steering wheel that may inflate during an accident may throw out sharp, steel pieces of metalwhen it inflates.said it was dangerous to drive. No accident has happened as your letter advisedthat it is too dangerous to drive it in this condition. This is costing me a lot of money and i want something done immediately!!!!!!!!it has been months since i was notified and this car is very important to our daily lives.no information has come to us regarding thisair bag issue.i have thousands of dollars tied up in this car and it has been months since we were notified.i want someone to call me at [xxx] or mail to [xxx].information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
Takata recall... How long are we suppose to ride around in a dangerous vehicle in harms way. The recall went out in february of this year and here it is july with no remedy. I need a loaner vehicle or a new vehicle for this death trap i have.i have a terrible gas leak in my fuel line. The gas smell has moved inside of the vehicle and no one can withstand it. Not only is the smell extremely strong, but the gas leak is even more dangerous than the faulty airbags. Insurance companies total vehicles when airbags deploy, but volkswagen thinks it's okay for us to ride around in vehicles with faulty, life threatening airbags and faulty fuel lines. This is unacceptable on so many levels and something has to be done and be done immediately.
Takata recall: was informed more than 1 year ago of recall ( nhtsa recall number: 16v078 recall date: february 9, 2016manufacturer recall number: 69m9 ), but no follow-up action has been communicated to me.
Takata recall: i am reading that people are being injured and dying, and the news says to stop driving the car. The dealership has no resolution. There is no time-line for a repair. I used your live chat and was told i could ask for a rental. The dealership saidthat no rental will be provided, it was up to me to take the risk to drive the car.

Takata recallvw is not able to tell when a replacement airbag will be available, nor assist with a replacement vehicle. The risks seem to be higher with older cars and given the age of my car this matter should be rated with urgency. It's been over a year since the takata issue was made public and it's unacceptable for a consumer to drive an unsafe car for such an extended period of time.
I have been notified of the recall. The dealership says they can not replace it, no replacement parts.i want a rental car until it is fixed. My life is in jeopardy when i drive, not a great feeling.
Takata recallthis issue was reported on 2/9/16. Three months has passed and no solution has been provided. I refuse to drive around in a car not fit for the road. Every day that passes there could be an 11th or 12th death. This is a scary experience. I plan to initiate a law suit against volkswagen for putting me in harms way and not resolving my issue in a timely fashion. I just want to be safe when i travel, not worry about my car being safe enough to drive.

2009 volkswagen cc.consumer writes in regards to air bag igniter failure.the consumer stated the onboard computer signaled a problem with the driver's air bag. The vehicle was immediately taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed as an internal failure in the driver's air bag igniter and recommended replacing the faulty device.
Takata recall has not been resolved, "no remedy available" cited.the remedy:replace the airbag!this should not take months or years, i am driving tens of thousands of miles at the wheel of a guillotine in the meantime.you should require vw to supply loaner cars.
Takata recall - volkswagen cc airbagit has been 10 months since this air bag recall has been active and we are still waiting for it to be repaired. This is too long to wait for a safety issue. Volkswagen should step up and do the right thing even if they have to get someone else to fix this serious safety issue.
Takata recall i took my car in to get my airbags replaced with a newer version to rusty wallce volkswagen nov.10nth today my driver airbag inflated as soon as i parked it. The key was in the ignition and i was far away from any other car.im glad im ok but this could have been much worse. I am very upset that this happened. I drive a 2009 volkswagen cc. What is the purpose of fixing a faulty recall with another damaged part.
Takata recall - clock spring airbag malfunction.my 2009 cc is not included in the recall however i am experiencing the same issues as the 2010 cc owners vehicle. The airbag light is on and steering wheel functions are not working. I took my vehicle to the volkswagon dealer and they diagnosed the clock spring issue same issue as the recall in model year 2010.if my vehicle has the same malfunction then it should be covered via the recall.the airbag malfunction is a serious safety issue and volkswagen should take precautions to prevent harm to owners of their vehicles
Takata recall. My vehicle has recalled airbags, and volkswagon currently has no solution to the problem. Volkswagon sent me a notice 6 months ago, telling me about the defective airbags. There should be a solution at this time.
I have purchased this vehicle in march 2016 when the recall was issued and there is still no fix available. Every day i drive the vehicle my life is in danger. I am to be protected by the airbag if i get into a car accident, but with this recall i don't even have the airbag to protect me it will only make the outcome worse.
Takata recall - received an april 2016 letter from vw concerning the airbag recall of february, 2016.and, since the letter nothing has been scheduled.i have not heard a word or a call.6-months is a long time!!
Takata recall - airbag needs immediate replacement
Takata recall i received a letter from vw of america on april 2016 informing me bout this recall. J have contacted vw of america, the dealers in macon and warner robins georgia; unfortunately the only answer i got was it may take up to 2 or 3 years for us to get the replacement bags, therefore drive carefully. They should provide me with a safe car but unfortunately they are just joking with me which i find unacceptable. I have heard my friends owning hondas and suffering from the same issue, and honda let them use rental cars for 4 or 5 months until they got the issue resolved. Vw should be one of the leading top ranking car manufacturers but their customer service is poor when it comes to safety issues. I hope you will make sure that i am given a safe car to drive till mine meets the safety requirements again.
Takata recalli have been issued several notices of airbag recall for my volkswagen. Myself and my husband have made phone calls to the local dealership and have been told unable to repair. Received another notice last week and contacted delearshio again. This phone call has not been returned but was told by person on the phone that the repair would probably not occur due to no parts.
Takata recall - i have received urgent recalls since april 2016...i have been driving with a known dangerous/deadly issue for 34 months...i have attempted to have the service completed, have been on a waiting list at several dealerships, was put on another one today after making another call.how does takata get away with this??? i was told to wait on fuel pump recall until airbag work.

Takata recallmy vehicle has an airbag recall and yet i have not been given an option to take it in for check up. I hope to also get the dash cleared up of all the lights indicating various errors on my car. My vehicle started acting up this way as it was stationary for about 6 months total now.
Takata recall /i would like this problem resolved. My daughter is driving this vehicle. I do not fell that shesafe in this car. I just bought this in june of 2014 i was not told of this problem at that time and i know they knew about this. Please advise me of what to do in this case before anything happens

Issue happened after incident in august 2011 and progressively became worse. Steering wheel will lose electrical power to controls (i.e. Stereo controls) and causes airbag warning light to come on and horn will not function at all. Dealer looked into issue and found that the clockspring needed replacement. Clockspring replaced in steering wheel and airbag issue has been resolved but steering wheel control issue still remains along with not having a working horn. Vw usa had no known fix for this issue as al wiring is in working order.dealership requested vehicle be brought back in for a further look.

"takata recall" i have been waiting on the dealership to contact me for a replacement, still dont have them!i have been told not to worry not to worry because vw hasn't had any injuries yet! i surely dont want to be the first!as i drive my car everyday i am thinking about this airbag. This is scary to say the least.what am i to do, there should be an automatic trade in for a car with no issues as this.please lead me in the right direction.
The epc light came on while driving.the car suddenly lost power, i kept having to take my foot off the gas, and then reapply, it eventually got up to a decent speed on the interstate, then suddenly lost all power regardless of what i did. Was almost hit by an 18 wheeler.this is the most dangerous and ridiculous thing to build a car that tells it to shut off when it first senses a problem.you guys almost cost me my life!!! this is the first vw i've ever owned and was told i would love it.well, i've had it for 2 day's and i can tell you it won't stay around long if this continues to be a problem.once i managed to get pulled over i shut the car off waited a min or so and restarted it.the light went off and the car drove like nothing ever happened.i have two small boys and this is a big concern for me. I've read post after post about this being an issue, there has to be something vw can figure out as to what is the main cause, and surely there should be a bypass to keep the car from just shutting off while driving.
Yesterday i took my vehicle to the vw dealership to be serviced because the epc and engine lights were on. I had to have 3 ignition coils and 4 spark plugs replaced on my vehicle at the vw dealership and the computer software updated. Today the engine light came back on. The epc light came on but went off after i turned the car off and restarted it. The car had trouble starting and lost power as i was driving on a city street. The car shuddered a bit as i was driving on a city street.
Brake light wires in the truck are fraying because the wire coating is too stiff and frays when the truck is opened multiple times.this is a fire and safety issue.this is on my 2009 volkswagen passat cc.i do not see a recall on this.
The contact owns a 2009 volkswagen cc. On several occasions, after the vehicle was parked overnight, the battery became drained and the vehicle failed to start. The battery was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. An independent mechanic was consulted, but was unable to provide a cause for the failure. The vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 17v509000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle was not repaired. An unknown dealer and the manufacturer were notified. The failure mileage was not available.
I can only say that the car has many problems that i can lose my life and i do not have answers from the manufacturer, i only have to demand them
I was in motion at speed over 60 on the highway and lost control of my vehicle. The only reason i didn't crash was because there was no traffic. It suddenly slows down and stops. No control in gas pedal.i took my car to the cerritos dearlership and was told my car was out of warranty. I took it to another dealer to fix and it was over $2000. It was fuel pump control module. My daughter had the same car and issue but she traded her car for another brand.

I received information dated october 2017 from volkswagen of america, inc. 3800 hamlin road auburn hills, mi 48326 with a recall notice for my vehicle nhtsa: 17v509 stating 'under specific operating conditions, an interruption in the electrical power supply to the fuel pump control module can result in fuel pump failure and lead to a loss of vehicle motive power while driving (vehicle stall). This condition can also cause the fuel pump to run continuously, resulting in a drained vehicle battery and/or a no-start condition.' this means an engine can stall while driving and can increase the risk of a vehicle crash. This is very alarming to me, and i am concerned about my safety along with my infant son who is a passenger in my car daily. I have called 2 local vw dealerships (dorschel & ide volkswagen) in rochester, ny and have been notified multiple times that there is 'no fix' at the moment. I owe over $10,000 on this vehicle currently and have limited income so i have no choice but to keep this vehicle and drive it. I have had multiple issues with this car and several recalls. I have put over $2,200 in repairs on this car in the last 4 months for defective sensors and wiring.this new recall can directly cause a deadly accident and i am at a lost for words!
The contact owns a 2009 volkswagen cc. While driving approximately 40 mph, the vehicle decelerated and then stalled. Also, the battery warning indicator illuminated. The contact had to push the vehicle into a parking lot. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was included in nhtsa campaign number: 17v509000 (fuel system, gasoline). The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 102,000.
There have been several problems with this car.the electrical power to the fuel pump has been feeling as though it is shutting off.when i first got the car, it stalled twice on me, while i was driving on a public road.the tires have balded or warn quickly.engine leaks oil often.the fuel not getting to the pump has been overwhelmingly often.
Vehicle loss of power while in motion, engine stall and drained battery.
The epc and engine lights keep coming on even after i have the vehicle serviced. In one instance, as i was driving on the highway to the vw dealership, the car began to slow down and would not accelerate. Traffic was sparse, so i was able to safely get to the shoulder of the highway. At the vw dealership, i had 3 of the coils and 4 spark plugs replaced. On the same day that i had them replaced the epc and the engine lights came back on, there was a message on the information console stating that the engine should be serviced, and the car powered off. The car was stationary in my driveway at the time.
My vehicle has failed on the highway on two occasions resulting in a life-threatening situation. I am in poverty and unable to purchase a new vehicle to drive my daughter around.

Vehicle loss of power while in motion, engine stall and drained battery.
As we were pulling into our driveway, the car started accelerating. The brake pedal was pressed, but the car revved forward and crashed into the garage door.
The epc light came on while driving.the car suddenly lost power, i kept having to take my foot off the gas, and then reapply, it eventually got up to a decent speed on the interstate, then suddenly lost all power regardless of what i did. Timing chain tensioner gave out during start up in the garage causing damage to valves and extensive costly repairs to the cylinder head. Luckily it did not happened on the highway, could have complete loss of steering.
I was having problems with my cc after i brought from a dealership for 18 days, when i was driving at one night at a speed of 60mph, while driving it seems fine but after 7 minutes, the car has no response while i stepped on the gas pedal, the engine light and battery light showed up, rpm and speed slow down rapidly. I pull over and i restart the car and continue for another 400 yards and car die, i have it towed to dealership next morning and they found out the car has a bad fuel pump and bad fuel intake and has to replace for $1500.
I have a 2009 cc that after driving for a long time 1-1 1/2 hrs the car boggs down and dies at low speed or coming to a stop.this has happened at least a dozen times since the first occurance.this is a very dangerous safety issue.i went to the dealer and they replaced a fuel pump.in 2-3 days this exact same problem happened again.the engine light code stated that the problem was a fuel pump but that has been replaced already.this needs to be checked into as it is a very dangerous situation and it appears that several individuals are having the same problem.
I was driving and my 2009 vw cc 2.0 and myengine started shaking and shut down with no warning, try to start nothing. I towed it to a local vw dealership(chapman ) i got a call the next morning stating my engine timing chain tensional was bad and i might need an engine, but for them to verify if engine is unrepairable i will need 620+tax. I called vw headquarters and spoke with someone who told me that there was no tsb or recall on my vehicle so it was nothing they could do for me . So i started searching online and there is 100 of post and informing on this. I will try calling vw back maybe someone else will help me.
2009 vw cc, timing chain tensioner causes timing chain to slip...vw repeatedly told me the timing chain lasts the life of the car and there is no maintenance guidelines for the timing chain. They fail to advise/disclose/or suggest the tensions should be checked at any point. I have owned the vehicle since 2011 and have asked repeatedly during servicing for timing to be checked or if it needs to be checked and dealer never suggested that the tensioners should be checked as supposedly the timing chain should last life of the car. I took my car in today because the check engine light has been on every since they changed the spark plugs in my car and was told it will be $5300 to fix but suggested i just get a new motor. Why buy a used motor if this issue can happen again. Vw is aware of the tensioner failure and fails to even disclose to consumers that the tensioners should be checked in any routine maintenance or preventative maintenance schedule. It is implicity stated that the timing chain lasts the life of the car but knowingly and willfully fail to disclose that the operable parts the control the timing chain can and due fail resulting in extensive damage to the vehicle. My was taken in for routine maintenance and check engine light was on. If my vehicle had been in motion and the tensioner fails, the motor will immediately fail and coupd result in serious accident.
The contact owns a 2009 volkswagen cc. While driving approximately 45 mph and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to accelerate. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and turned off the engine. The contact waited for a few minutes, restarted the vehicle, and was able to drive normally. After driving a mile down the road, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to demontrond volkswagen (14101 n freeway, houston, tx 77090, (281) 872-7200) where it was diagnosed that the radiator had a leak and there was also an oil leak that needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 17v509000 (fuel system, gasoline). The approximate failure mileage was 88,000.
The contact owns a 2009 volkswagen cc. While driving 35 mph, the vehicle stalled and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer (volkswagen pasadena, 130 n sierra madre blvd, pasadena, ca 91107), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 17v509000 (fuel system, gasoline), but the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The failure mileage was unknown. Vin tool confirms parts not available.

Went to have car service with oil change and upon leaving car was riding rough and found out that a rear main seal had broke on the engine. Had over 12 codes that showed up. After they fixed that problem got fix, the car was towed to a vw dealership where they diagnose the car with slipping of the time chain.this a horrible and i looked online with over a 100 complaints about this issue with the vw cc and surprise that their isn't a recall on the car. Its a major issue that needs to be looked at immediately.
Vw is aware that there are issues with many of their cars for vw/audi/porsche where the timing chain gives prematurely and no recall has been done on these vehicles. There is a civil lawsuit that has been settled but the payouts have not been disseminated since it was settled in 2018. This is a major concern due to there being a vast number of makes and models with this manufacturer yet they have yet to take full responsibility for the defects in their calls. I have a 2009 vw cc that i have yet to receive any reimbursement on costs to repair this issue. When i wrote into vw to advise them of my problem and to only ask that i be reimbursed for the costs of repair, they responded with "sorry, your warranty has expired." my car was in motion many times while i was on long distance travel or in the city and it stalled on me two times while in motion. Both times i had to have my car towed in before i found out the exact issue with it. The last time i was going over a bridge and my car would not accelerate while in traffic going at least 50 mph.
On september 16, 2017, my wife was driving our volkswagen cc luxury 2009, and it lost power while in motion, she crashed into a dresser in our garage and and damaged the drywall of our home. We called our insurance because we just had purchased this car on labor day 2017, from the audi dealership in lakeland, fl, and during the claim we found out that this open recall had not been fixed. So i contacted the audi dealership and they retrieved with a promise to have it fixed at the vw dealership in lake land florida, since this was the manufacturers dealership. Well today i was told by theaudi dealership that the vw dealership located on 209 s lake parker avenue, lake land, fl 33801said the nhtsa website recall was wrong and there is no recall for the vehicle so they cannot fix a vehicle without an active recall. I emailed the audi dealership documents from your website about the recall and yet they claim the vw dealership will not fix the vehicle.i have attached a copy of the recall from your website, please let me know what my next steps should be. My vehicle has failed on the highway on two occasions resulting in a life-threatening situation. I am in poverty and unable to purchase a new vehicle to drive my daughter around.
I just bought this 2009 cc frombuena park nissan dealership in california, in february 2015 and put in just 6000 miles. I was driving to work onbeverly bl on july 27th when all of a sudden the car just lost power while in motion.fortunately i was in the outside lane and was able to pull to the side. After checking to see if there was a loose connection to the battery or whatever....i started it and was able to drive 3 blocks to work before it stalled again.i had it towed to my mechanic and was diagnosed with p2293 low fuel pressure. He said it was drive able but that one day it may not start. After that incident the car has stalled 8 other times twice on the freeway and the last one was at an intersection with my wife and my 87 year old mother in law.i had high pressure fuel pump replaced and as the mechanic came to pick me up to get my car it stalled in the middle of an intersection while he was driving. It stalled again before we got to his shop.i decided to check into this issue and discovered that this is a common problem with the ccs.i have not driven the car in a month and is parked in new century dealership in glendale,ca .after contacting volkswagen corporate, they asked me to take it to the nearest dealership which i did.four days later i got an email stating they cannot offer any financial assistance and more so i am responsible for the $130 diagnosis fee.it is only a matter of time before there serious fatalities from this very dangerous situation.
My intake manifold for my 2009 vw cc failed under the extended warranty and vw america refuses to honor this warranty.
Timing chain broke at 115000 miles. This is before the recommended change of 120,000. Volkswagen knows of the issue, and does not offer any help
I was driving on the street and my vehicle lost power and shut off without any warning. Once, the vehicle shut off i tried to restart it and it had no power. Engine and battery lights were on at this point. I had the vehicle towed to the vw dealer. Had the battery replaced and they need to replace the fuel pump, fuel pump regulator module $975+ counting.i had another incident back on 2013 for the fuel pump control module. It's a constant issue wilth the fuel assemly line being deffective on the cc's.
While driving the car it will all of a sudden just die. The brake will work to stop the vehicle and the steering locks out after the car is stopped. But after it dies you can restart the vehicle. The car has been to the dealership four times now for the same issue. The computers in the car don't leave a fault code and they still cannot figure out what the issue is but i keep being placed in the vehicle saying that it is running to manufacture specs.
8/13/11 car stalled twice while driving- once on major highway.car towed from residence to service. 8/15/11 service called and advised my car was hooked up to diagnostics and found the fuel injection pump was low and gas tank so it was probably bad gas but the car had nothing wrong. I was also advise that the car was taken for a test drive, 10 miles and nothing happened.service offered to keep car 8/16/11 and drive it another 20-30 miles.i agreed. 8/17/11i spoke with service manager, upon arrival.svc advised that the car was driven again for 20 or so miles and again no issues were found.she again stated it was "just probably bad gas".i asked if there was a possibility of it stalling again at which timeadvised it may happen again however since they thought it was bad gas to just run the current tank(3/4 full) down to empty.on 8/18/11, i was driving home on the gsp north in nj during rush hour traffic (8 lane highway).traveling in the 4th left lane, slowed the vehicle due to traffic. As i slowed down my car stalled.i was able to restart and move about 5 feet when the car stalled again.at this point i was unable to start the car again. I pressed and kept my foot on the brake while keeping the hazards on.i did this to notify drivers behind me that i was stuck.traffic started to move again at a slow pace and drivers were going around me.within a minute or so, traffic on both sides of my car were gaining momentum and moving atleast speed limit pace (65mph) .as iwatched the rear view mirror i saw a white suv approaching quickly. I realized i was going to be hit and braced for impact. It was not full impact as last minute driver turned the wheel. I was told driver was traveling 55-60mps. This accident was 1 day after i received my car back and told "nothing wrong". I also noticed through paperwork my car was never re-ran as discussed. My in/out odometer was 12 miles...
On 9/12/13 while driving on the highway without any warning the car loss engine power, would not accelerate and shut off in the middle of the highway. The battery light did come on once the car shut off. I was unable to restart the car to move off the highway. I immediately turned on the hazards and kept my foot on the brakes so cars would not crash into me. The car still had full power with all controls (radio, power windows, ac, lights, etc.). The vehicle was towed to a local vw dealer and diagnosed as a defective low pressure fuel pump and fuel control module, $850 repair. The service advisor stated this is a common problem with the cc's (direct injection). The repairs were completed by the vw dealer on 09/13/13. On 09/18/13 five days later and less than 100 miles after the low pressure fuel pump & module was replaced; while commuting from work the check engine light came on and the car immediately lost engine power, would not accelerate and shut off in rush hour traffic. Again it was towed back to vw and this time diagnosed as defective high pressure fuel pump and control module, for another $850 in repairs. On 09/21/13 i contacted vw of america online and made a formal complaint; twice in one week the vehicle has shut off in traffic, with no warning, endangering my life and the lives of others. The vw dealer is playing a guessing game with diagnosing the problem. The vw dealer also contacted vw of america on my behalf with the problems and concerns with the vehicle. Vw offered to cover the parts and i paid the labor $200+. The repairs were completed on 9/25/13 by vw, i drove the car home less than 25 miles and the car started to sputter and the check engine light came on. I immediately called the vw dealer and was told to bring the car back. 3 times in two weeks, the car is back to the vw dealer and they can't fix the problem. This is a real safety problem.

Visited repair shops to change fuel pump in 2015 and 09/30/2017 to change fuel pump and the control module after the car went completely dead. Battery was also replace.

My vehicle was being driven locally (<3 miles) to a local grocery store.there was no indication of any issues with the fuel system.there was no alert that appeared on the dash to indicate an engine or vehicle issue as it should be with the vehicle info system.upon completion of shopping i started the car as normal and then it stalled.i then attempted to restart the vehicle several times, but could not.i towed it to the local dealership where they told me that it was a faulty fuel pump and had to be replaced at a cost of $1500+.a fuel pump simply doesn't die without there being some symptoms or issues with power going to the unit.there should be some indication of an impending issue with the fuel pump like a check engine light.it only makes sense that the light should come on see that the engine is not getting all of the fuel it needs.now that its been replaced, i recently (7/30/14) filled my tank and the pumped stopped at the top end of 17.2+ gallons (near capacity) of the tank.when i started the car it showed 3/4 of a tank.as i continued to drive close to 20 miles the gauge slowly reflected the actual gas in the tank.i would genuinely hate for the pump to stop working on the highway or a state road/local street, because the parking brakes automatically turn on when the car stalls or turns off which is clearly a deadly hazard.

Gas pump defect. There is a recall on the gaspump with manufacturer recall number20aeand nhtsa recall number17v509.two weeks ago, as i was driving on the main street in our city, the car just stopped and i was blessed that no cars were following me. I cannot imagine what the situation would have been. I may have been alive wriitng these lines. I had the part changed and i was told to contact vw usa, what i was told was i will not be reimbursed until this recall was announced official by nhtsa. This is unacceptable. Does vw of nhtsa want people to lose their lives so that this would be an officla recall? i hope nhtsa takes this seriously and in vw usa's terms, make this recall official. How long are they going to make before they manufacture upgarded parts. Such an attitude is unacceptable. Which is more important? human life or money?

The contact owns a 2009 volkswagen cc. The contact stated that the fuel pump leaked and splashed fuel at all times. The contact stated that the rear passenger seat was soaked with fuel and the check engine indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to dreyer & reinbold volkswagen (800-315-2288, located at 1301 south us 31, ste 3, greenwood, in 46143) where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump was cracked in multiple places and needed to be replaced. The technician informed the contact that the vehicle was unsafe to drive and could catch fire. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 101,000. The vin was unknown.

The contact owns a 2009 volkswagen cc. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 17v509000 (fuel system, gasoline). The parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact called lujack luxury motor cars at (563) 445-4305 (located at 3602 n harrison st, davenport, ia 52806) where it was confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was not notified. On several occasions, while driving, the vehicle stalled without warning. The failure mileage was unknown. Vin tool confirms parts not available.
I have a 2009 vw cc that normally idles at 600 rpm but due to either engineering or a malfunction it increases it's idle to 950 rpm for either an electrical or cooling issue depending on the vw technician you talk to.this creates a situation where the vehicle wants to lunge or surge forward requiring excessive pressure on the brake to hold still.this is a 58% increase in rpm with a very low stall torque converter.the car is very hard to drive in stop and go traffic as it is surging forward and stress on the drive train at that rpm.i have taken to vw dealership, the tech agrees that it is not normal but volkswagen of america states it is operating as engineered.if so, this is an unsafe condition to require a 58% increase in rpm for better cooling at temperatures of over 93 degrees.in any case, mine does this in the winter as well as cooler summer days and not just hot days.in fact, some hot days it does not do it at all.so either it is designed to increase rpm above 93 degrees or it isn't.regardless mine doesn't operate correctly in either case.
As we were pulling into our driveway, the car started accelerating. The brake pedal was pressed, but the car revved forward and crashed into the garage door.

Sticking throttle..throttle sticks at any rpm above 2300.i am glad that this is a standard shift automobile where i can engage the clutch to stop the car.if this were an automatic shift car, there would have been an accident.throttle continues to stick even without any floor mats in close proximity of the throttle peddle. Placing toe behind throttle peddle to lower rpm has no effect whatsoever..
When i first bought my vw cc it was very smooth and worked relatively well. After a while it really got rough, when i start moving from a complete stop, the car jerks back and forth one or two times roughly. This happens on an uphill or downhill. Also the car slams into first gear really hard when slowing down to a complete stop, making passengers bodies shift forward from momentum. It fells like i slammed on to the brakes. Also sometimes from a stop when i put my foot on the gas, the car hesitates before slamming into first gear after two or three seconds of not responding to my throttle input. This has me scared on a couple of times of instances because i almost got into a rear end collision from someone who is not paying attention or simply because no one expects a car to stop all of a sudden after starting to roll after a complete stop, and almost slamming into the back of my car. Luckily i knew that my car had this characteristic so i reacted quickly enough to accelerate on time to get out of their way. From what i understand this is a problem with the mechatronics unit and many people have had success fixing the problem by getting a replacement mechatronics unit installed. Almost everyone i have met with the same car has experienced the same problemi do. Something needs to be done to correct this unsafe and very annoyingissue or people are going to end in the hospital due to a rear end collision or even worse. It can cause really serious damage.
Passenger side seat belt warning light comes on intermittently and alarm sounds, indicating that the air bag system is not working on passenger side.
The contact owns a 2009 volkswagen cc. The contact stated that the air bag warning lamp was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the wiring harness for the passenger's side front buckle assembly was defective. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not offer any assistance since the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 09v097000 (seat belts). The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 50,000.
The warning light/bell will sporadically indicate the driver's seatbelt is unfastened while its is still fastened.this happens while driving the vehicle at varying speeds.dealership could not duplicate the issue nor could they isolate the problem causing it.
Passenger occupant detection system is not working correctly. Possibly affecting passenger airbag deployment.
The contact owns a 2009 volkswagen cc. While driving, the vehicle stalled without warning and the battery indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to mike haggerty volkswagen (8920 s cicero ave, oak lawn, il 60453 (708) 425-8989) where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump, fuel pump module, and the brakes needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced nhtsa campaign number: 17v509000 (fuel system, gasoline). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 103,000. The vin was unavailable.
Steering wheel locked one time.turned off engine and, when restarted car, steering worked fine.took car to dealership and they replaced the rack and pinion.
While trying to start the engine (parked) on cold weather (aprox. 20f), "steering column lock" asserts and engine shuts down. It happens almost every time, if outside temperature is below about 35f. I have to try several times with slight pressure on steering wheel, before steering gets unlocked.
Takata recall---received letter statingthat the airbag in the steering wheel that may inflate during an accident may throw out sharp, steel pieces of metalwhen it inflates.said it was dangerous to drive. Steering problem with 2009 volkswagen cc vr 6 4motion.*njthe consumer stated the vehicle had a tendency to drift to the left or right, kind of a floating motion without any movement of the steering wheel. As a result, it required constant attention at higher speeds and was most disturbing during traffic or narrow lane driving. The dealer examined the steering mechanism, suspension, wheels and tires and all were found to be within specifications.the consumer mentioned recall 08v577000 that seemed to be related to the problem he was experiencing.
Interior head liner cloth has come completely loose and obscuring line of sight thru rear window. The car is garage kept it is 10 years old with less than 73k miles original purchaser owner. Wife pulled it from garage and as she was backing the headliner cloth let go from roof molding. I believe we are not the only ones experiencing this the dealership said the parts have to be backordered due to demand and had stated there was another customer beside ourselves with the same issue. This is very expensive to replace total cost is looking to be 2k. The entire assembly is so large that the rear window has to be removed to install. I believe substandard adhesives and other materials were used in the manufacturer of this items.

Exploding sunroof.driving on the freeway, i head a sound that sounded like a gunshot.i looked around and noticed my sunscreen for the sunroof had jumped open and saw a hole in my sunroof and the whole thing was shattered. I slowly exited the freeway and drove home holding the sunscreen in place so as not to have glass fall on me,i called my insurance company and brought it to the glass repair shop they designated for repair.
Rear main seal failure.oil leak on hot engine.
Takata recallmy vehicle has an airbag recall and yet i have not been given an option to take it in for check up. I hope to also get the dash cleared up of all the lights indicating various errors on my car. My vehicle started acting up this way as it was stationary for about 6 months total now.

On september 16, 2017, my wife was driving our volkswagen cc luxury 2009, and it lost power while in motion, she crashed into a dresser in our garage and and damaged the drywall of our home.
