Dt:2005 viking legend.the consumerreceived nhtsa recall 05v364000 concerning roof and pillars failureon august 20, 2005.the letter stated the vehicle should be taken to dealerwithin 10 days.the vehicle was taken to the dealership whereit was purchased.they knew nothing of the recall.once they were informed of the recall the consumer was told the part was on order.now the part was not on order, but, a prop was being sent until the part couldbe obtained.she found this out this morning when she called to check the status of the part.the consumer was told the part was being manufactured and would take 6-8 weeks.
Dt:the caller reporteda failure ofpop up camper three weeks ago and got a recall yesterday. She said the dealerhad the camper for three weeks and has done nothingto fix it. Dealer said they do not have the parts to fix it. Manufacturer said they will send the parts when they get them. Caller was told three times the parts will be shipped but they have not done it yet.
