Read complaints for VICTORY VISION TOUR (2008)

I have a 2008 victory vision. Something is causing a strong gas smell as you drive. I have heard it is either a bad tank neck or bad gas cap.i think victory should do a recall and fix this. I have read online that they only address as a case by case i.e. If you complain or not.

My gas gauge is not reading the fuel levels correctly.the gauge will only go the 1/4 level even when the tank is totally full of fuel.this is a pain in the butt as sometimes the gauge does not go that fall and the tank empty signal is on so you can not even use the mileage gauge as it will not work.

I was approaching a turn where a sign indicated to reduce speed. Went to apply rear brakes and they went to the floorboards again! attempted to pump brakes, but they would not hold. Had to ride with only front brakes. This is a real safety issue. The dealer keeps stating that victory keeps instructing them to bleed the brakes. This is only a temporary fix.

This is the third time this has happened. After the bike has set unused for 2-3 months the rear brakes have no pressure. The pedal goes to the floor. I have taken it to the dealer and they said they bleed the brake lines and all was good. After the riding season and letting the bike set for 3 months the same thing happened again, no rear brakes.

As i was approaching an intersection. I went to apply my rear brakes, and the brake pedal went straight to the floorboard. I made a couple quick attempts to pump my brakes, while also braking hard with the front.

Have had several issues with rear brake failure. Rear brake pedal goes all the way down, and does not engage the brakes. No leak signs of any fluid. This seems to be a serious problem with victory motorcycles after doing some research on line. Www.vision-riders.com. I have had my bike in the shop several times with this issue. The brakes were bled every time the rear brakes failed. I was traveling on a city street, a black in color chevrolet truck had pulled out in front of me. I immediately applied by front and rear breaks. When i applied my rear brakes, thepedal went down to the flood. I downshifted as fast has i could in order to avoid striking the vehicle. The bike was then towed home. I was told that air was in the system but no leaks have ever been found. Victory dealership stated that no recalls have been put out by victory. Please look into this matter before someone gets hurt or even killed. Thank you.

The rear brakes completely failed, since the front and rearbrakes are a linked system the braking capability is seriously affected. If the speed was higher, i or someone else could be seriously injured or killed. The local dealer admits issues nd has done everything they could do, the dealer and i have tried to get the manufacturer (polaris/victory) and they do not admit any problems yet there are other complaints for the same thing.

Rear brake failure on 2008 victory vision motorcycle. Rear brakes lost almost all use. I had the brakes bled by the local victory dealership and everything worked ok for another 2500 miles and then all the sudden the rear brakes failed again.

For the third time i have lost the rear brake. The first two times, the dealer bled the brake. This time i was told i need a master cylinder. This bike has 17500 miles. I have also had several incidents of stalling, and other electrical issues. I am not sure if the stalling/ electrical issues was not just limited to mybike. I have been told that this bike has known issues with the rear brake. It goes mushy and the pedal goes all the way down. I was told my bike is not the only one. I was sent away with this condition not repaired, as the dealer did not have a new master cylinder available. I was also told i had to wait for a representative from the warranty company to confirm the repair was needed .even though the dealership already said it was.

While traveling about 30 mph and coming to a stop, the motorcycle suddenly became unsteerable, as if the steering control was locked. I coasted to a stop and found that the bottom rear edge of the front fender was lodged in the lower body frame opening of the motorcycle, making steering impossible. The front fender of the victory vision is composed of two pieces, with the front half metal and the back half plastic, attached with two side bolts and two top pins through holes in the plastic rear portion.the plastic had cracked completely through at the two side connections and broken. The plastic rear portion was only being held on by the two top pins, allowing the rear piece to flex and to swing backward and jam into the opening in front of the engine. This locked the steering controls and prevented steering input.fortunately, there was no traffic and this happened on a mostly straight road.

2008 victory vision tour motorcycle has a problem with the position of the tip-over protectors. *njthe consumer stated the position of the tip-over protector can cause the riders feet to become pinned underneath the bike. (lawyer wrote in on behalf of his client who was injured. Updated 08/05/10

Rear portion of the front fender broke off and got jammed into the lower section of the front fairing. No crash or damage at this slow speed but could have been very bad if it had occurred at speed.

The front fender which is two pieces, the rear piece cracks and comes loose dropping down pinning against the frame impairing the motorcycles steering.
