After 17,500 miles,i heard scraping noises from the rear wheel that would eventually disappear when riding the bike from a cold start. Noticed slight wiggle when leaning into turns at 60 mph. I placed the bike on a lift and was able to move the rear tire side to side with my hands. I eventually took the bike to my dealer to have the rear rim checked out. I was told that not only did the rear bearing fail on drive side, but it galled out the aluminum face inside the rim rendering it useless. As a result, no bearings could be installed unless a new rim was purchased. A new rim was purchased on 11/14/04. The original rim was disposed of by the dealer at my request.
