Clutch cable broke in half while riding.this is the 3rd clutch cable that's broken on this bike in the last 14 months and appears to be a common problem (based on online forum discussions where others have reported the same failures).when the cable breaks its very difficult to control the bike and becomes a safety issue.luckily all three times i was able to make it to the side of the road then kill the engine and (abruptly) stop.in heavier traffic i believe it would have caused a wreck.there should be a recall for this issue but instead owners are required to purchase a $400 hydraulic clutch upgrade kit and install it.
