The contact felt that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. The vin was not available.
Recall number13e-048lock and ride back rest and luggage rack.notified in december 2013 about recall.notified in april 2014 that parts were available for repair.as of september 2014(9 mos after notification)dealer still does not have parts from victory for the repair.been lied to about this for months.called customer service for victory. Who told me to call the dealer. Dealer can not get the parts.
I have noticed the latching mechanism on the saddlebag is wearing prematurely. The right side bag has more noticeable wear than the left saddlebag.it appears that the soft metal is being worn from the latch striker hoop.at the current wear rate it may only last another year before the saddlebag may open during vehicle operation causing undetermined reaction from the driver or vehicle following in an attempt to avoid the bag contents.
