Van hool t2140 2007 there are possibility to have turbo failure by installingdefective turbo intake pipeby manufacture.there are installation difficultieswhen connecting turbo charger and turbo pipe because of limited space in engine compartment. The wall of vehicle was interrupted to locate the turbo pipe.van hool manufacture trim(cut) the pipe to installed. Because of that ,pipe lost 90% of thickness. Originally about 7mm in diameter of the pipe became 1mm in diameter. It has been covered by rubber attached on the wall to be hidden.it can not see by regular inspection unless you take out pipe. The manufacture must recallthis pipe to replace.we had turbo failure in only 90,000 miles of vehicle operationcaused by the intake pipe leak. Updated 10/27/10 updated ivoq 11/01/10.

Currently vehicle does not have any warning system and protection to prevent an engine to be fire. The contact owns a 2007 van hool t2140 charter bus. While driving at speeds of 35 mph the vehicle stalled and the driver noticed that there was smoke coming from the exhaust. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer where it was diagnosed with failures to the engine turbo system. The vehicle was also leaking oil. The dealer replaced the turbo mechanism; however, the contact was concerned with the possibility of an engine fire. The failure and current mileages were 120,000.
