The contact was involved in a crash then the engine started making a rattling noise, it accelerated and caused her to crash into another vehicle.the vehicle was taken to the dealer, who stated that the electronic accelerator pedal needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that there were too many miles on the vehicle and the electronic accelerator pedal needed to be replaced. The vehicle was destroyed.the vin was not available. The contact didn't indicate if there were any injuries. A police report was filed. The current and failure mileage was approximately 680,000.
