The contact owns a 2007 triumph tiger 1050.while the contact was timing his vehicle, he noticed that the speedometer displayed inaccurate readings.the vehicle has not been diagnosed by the dealer.the failure has occurred ever since the contact owned the vehicle.updated 09/10/08the consumer stated the speedometer registered 5 mph faster than his actual speed.updated 09/19/08.

The head lamps on my triumph tiger 1050 2007 model are inadequate for safe night riding to say the least. The beam pattern is greatly inferior to what a bike of this style should be equipped with. Cornering on dark roads at any speed above 30 mph is scary and nothing short of turning into a black hole. It is only a matter of time until this design injures or kills someone. Triumph needs to recall this headlamp reflector and replace it with a safe alternative. Many other motorcycles of this class do not suffer this deficit and it needs remedied.

Projector beam type reflector halogen lamp headlight on triumph tiger 1050 motorcycle does not have sufficient lighting ability, making night riding extremelyand needlessly hazardous. Does not meet dot requirements.

The left rear turn signal fractured and was found dangling by its electrical cable. Cause unknown but device was not exposed to any forces other than routine wind loads.the next day the right rear turn signal also fractured and was found dangling by its electrical cable.this is a defect and is unsafe as other motorists cant see the signals.

I ride a 2007 triumph tiger 1050 but not at night any more.the front projector lighting is very poor and can be dangerous on cornering because the beam does not reach the end of the turns where one should be focusing.the main beam is also pathetic even after having the alignment checked.this defect is it seems prevalent amongst tiger riders and complaints to triumph have been ignored.interestingly, their newly announced sprint gt is not using a projector beam but reverts to a reflector design.perhaps they listen but don't recalland let the owners make their own modifications and quietly improve the new models.the modifications would possibly void warranties and even affect insurance coverage.most owners (worldwide, check websites for corroboration) agree that the bike is great but the lights are dangerously ineffective. After a couple of near accidents during trips in the dark, i am now fitting driving lights on the forks so the light shines around corners just like my 1973 bike.i would have thought that all vehicle components should meet or exceed minimum safety expectations to ensure the product s are in marketable condition.clearly, the company quality control performance and governmental safety inspectors appear to have slipped up quite badly.a reputable company should recognize the defect and rectify their mistakes by providing a suitable upgrade option for all owners.i cannot remember the exact dates when i first realized the difficulties of night driving until i compared the beam patters with my other, older machine after some scary moments of "lost illumination". It was most likely coming home from vacation last year so i will use august 15 last year..

Inadequate headlight illumination.
