My vehicle was not listed under the recall for airbags. Yet, yesterday i was involved in a fairly serious t-bone collision that affected the entire front end of my venza and no airbags went off. It was a city street intersection and both vehicles were moving about 30 miles per hour. Neither the drivers or passenger side doors would open from the impact so why no air bags?...updated 01/25/16

I was approaching a stop sign at the corner or church and main streets in chester, vermont at less than 10 mphthe car surged forward and would not stop. I t-boned a car coming down main street and the car continued to surge across the road.this is a surging problem that toyota is fully aware of.
I turned from a stop on a city street into a small parking lot. While braking in the parking lot, the vehicle accelarated. I hit the brakes harder and the vehicle went faster, jumping the concrete bumper, only stopping when i hit a parked car.
On august 18th, i was driving my husband's 2015 toyota venza.i ordinarily do not drive it as the vehicle has a surging forward problem.when you take your food off the gas pedal, the vehicle surges forward which one can compensate by quickly hitting the brake pedal.my husband has gotten used to the car doing this so it does not bother him.on this particular day, i was driving along a 2-lane road on a somewhat main road with some businesses on either side and i was driving about 35 mph.we were approaching a popular ice cream plaza when i saw the vehicles up ahead stopping as one of the cars was waiting to cross over to the ice cream shop.i took my foot off of the gas pedal but the car surged forward at a faster speed.i immediately put my foot on the brake pedal but the car continued to accelerate and the brake did nothing so i pushed harder on the brake but the car still did nothing and would not slow down.i finally pushed as hard as i could with no success.then the wheels locked and the car slid forward and i hit the car in front of me.toyota took the car after i complained and examined it and said there was nothing wrong.but when we got the car back my husband was doing an errand and approaching an intersection and put his foot on the brake and the car started to slow but then the brake pedal went to the floor.he lifted his foot off the pedal and reapplied and the car slowed and stopped.
Accidentstopping at stop sign car accelerated thus crashing into another car the venza surged forward and accelerated slightlybefore finally stopping on opposite side of roadwaycompletely out of control surging forward on its own

Driving down the highway and coming to a stop sign there was a sudden explosion...it sounded like a tire exploded but louder. I stopped at the stop sign and got out of my car and walked around the vehicle for a busted tire, but then i saw that my sunroof was continuing to crack...the sunroof had exploded. I walked to the vehicle that had stopped behind me and asked them if they had seen anything hit my car and they said no. My sunroof continued to shatter as i drove home. Frightening situation! toyota needs to recall their sunroofs because i've seen several on this site as having experienced this same problem.
Forward sliding sunroof exploded and started disintegrating while traveling on interstate 93. Nothing came off the highway or from any other vehicle to cause this. The vehicle was in motion approx 70 mph driving straight. Weather was clear, sunnyand cold, about 29 degrees.

The radio navigation system just turns off and resets for no apparent reason it does it st anytime anywhere any speed. It will just stop and restart and if your using navigation you loose your destination, so you have the instinct to try and re input your travel location which causes you to not watch the road. It happens almost every time i drive the car.
Sunroof exploded into millions of pieces while in the closed position while the vehicle was traveling on the interstate highway in memphis, on july 19, 2018.there was a very loud bang that scared the driver causing her to almost lose control of the vehicle. There was no evidence of an object striking the sunroof or the vehicle around this time. Since the bottom sun shield was closed, no glass entered the vehicle

When the wipers cross the glass in the rainit creates a haze almost like when you need the defroster to clear the window but this problem is on the exterior of the glass.during dry weather the problem does not exist. Not a wiper issue, defective glass
