On my 2015 toyota tundra, the lightfrom the radio display is so bright at night it makes this truck very dangerous to drive. When it rains at night it makes it 10 times more dangerous. This truck needs a dimmer switch for the brightness on the radio for night driving. If you wear glasses like me, the light from this display make a glare. I have two kids, one is 15 months and the other is 3 years. I do not like to go out at night with them in the truck do to this unsafe feature. Something needs to be done about it !!!!

The dash instrument and gauge lights do not work during daytime when lights are set to automatic. Basic instruments are not clear and require that the driver be distracted much longer than is acceptable to try to read the dark instrument cluster. This condition is present in all driving conditions whether stationary or in motion. The local toyota dealership instructed me to drive with the parking lights on so the dash would be lit. The dealership said this problem is present on all newer toyota tundras. Driving in the daytime with the parking lights on is illegal. Additionally, drivers are much more likely not to turn on the headlights at dusk as most drivers are use to having the lights set to auto. This and the distraction of trying to read dark and difficult to read instruments will cause accidents.

When using left turn signal, headlights and tail lights shut off for a few seconds. This happens in motion and when at a complete stop.

Hard starting issue on cold start due to fuel pump/ecu flex fuel issue ffv engine 3ur-fbe. Data shows reading fuel alcohol content @ 56% even though i've never run ethanol... This is common problem id on many tundra threads online.in addition to increased engine wear on starts, fuel economy is reduced because engine is mapped to ethanol based fuel instead of standard gasoline fuel mapping.

With the many times i have severely tried to start my vehicle it has a hard start not due to other components such as the battery or other electrical issues but the flex fuel integration in the system not reading correctly.with the reflash done many times it will still not resolve the issue.with the vehicle always at a cold start weather it would be a hot day or a cold day it always seems to have the hard start issue. This issue has many affects on drivers safety and could cause severity on the engine with faults soon to happen. The service bulletin is a start but should be a recall due to the error toyota has made with this costing many many owners to suffer having to take time out of their day to do this and the costly effects it has. This remedy should be heard by everyone in the toyota institute to fix the issue and have a hassle free solution to better assist and make the toyota owner happy to keep on pursuing and buying toyota trucks.

Vehicle experiences excessive crank and no start when key turned do to problems with flex fuel system dealer has reflagged truck and the problem is still on going in many vehicles

Truck shuts down after running for about 2 minutes; as if the ignition switch was turned off while driving. I then have to wait about 30 seconds to restart the truck. The truck will not start immediately after shutting off. It acts like something has to reset to allow the truck to start. The truck will do the same thing idling in my driveway. It starts right up; runs about 2 minutes and shuts off. After 30 seconds the truck will restart. This is a danger on the highway. I do not have remote start.

Multiple recalls issued for toyota fuel pump but not this year. Vehicle quit while driving, would not start, terrible gas mileage, and rough running. Dealer ran diagnostics and said it was a defective fuel pump (just like all previous models) and replaced it with the replacement used in the other recalls.

Driver seat leather worn/torn due to rubbing against seats plastic framing.passenger manual seat is difficult to slide back/forth.

The contact owns a 2015 toyota tundra. The contact stated that the front driver's seat heater was inoperable and the amp module was melted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Arlington toyota (10939 atlantic blvd, jacksonville, fl 32225, (904) 302-9611) was notified. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000.

Toyota tundra 2015 brake rotors overheated and distorted under normal driving conditions on flat city freeways at 60mph and higher.this resulted in significant vibration of the brake pedal and the steering wheel when applying the brakes. I am 74 yrs old and have experience driving all sorts and brands of pick-up trucks and suv's and have never every experienced this.the toyota dealership is claiming this is normal.

My intergrated trailer brake controller( part # 89547-0c010) is not functioning properly.it provides braking to my trailer only by using the manual slide.when braking, i feel no braking the trailer.

When at 55 degrees or below getting a misfire on cylinder 2, engine light on with traction control off on my display (not the actual icon). Code reader says p0302, c1201, and b1242. Engine light starting flashing, juddering really bad when accelerating to 70mph. When at 60 degrees or higher everything is normal no engine light on or any juddering.

Installed factory integrated trailer brake controller in 2016.controller does not supply enough power to the trailer brakes early enough to stop appropriately (trailer pushes the vehicle). Even at maximum power, the only way to lock the trailer brakes is with the manual hand lever.this is noticeable at all times when attempting to stop while towing the trailer.

I own a 2015 tundra crew cab. The family and i love to camp, so we purchased a brand new camper. I hooked up the camper to the tundra utilizing the 7 pin connector. The dash display indicated the integrated brake control was working and fully functional. To my dismay, the brake control did not work to satisfaction and border lined a safety issue. With the gain turned up to 10 on electric mode, the camper's brakes barely engaged and rarely slowed down my truck. The camper is 7800 pounds. I have been reading forums and other tundra owners are having the same issues with their ibc....there is not enough braking power with toyota's factory ibc. Several times going down hill i did not think the electric brakes were going to slow to stop my truck! my tundra did all the braking.i always had my family in the truck with me. Is there a recent service bulletin or update to this controller???? aftermarket controllers work much better, but i want a clean look to my cab. Thank you

Gear shifter hangs up in park, toyota wanted $1,000.00 to replace total gear-shifter they said it is a common problem.

Parking brake began to fail at holding my tundra stationary in my driveway (which is approximately a 16% grade) at 10,892 miles. First service complaint toyota found the parking brake to be operational but adjusted it. On my way home, this adjustment caused the left parking brake shoe to heat up and stick causing a 'death wobble'. Vehicle towed to dealer. Toyota of nwa was able to replicate the failure during a test drive to a road of equal grade as my driveway. Parking brake shoes were replaced and inside of rotors machined. Parking brake operated normally for only a few weeks then began to fail again. Toyota sent a specialist to evaluate the failure. After spending only 2 hours inspecting and testing on a ramp, dealer stated parking brake operating normally but adjusted the cable from 12-13 clicks to 8-9 clicks. Parking brake began to fail two days later and parking brake pedal travel takes 15 clicks to the floor and my tundra still rolls when in neutral with the parking brake engaged. Metal popping and clanking sounds coming from rear end after parking brake is engaged, transmission is shifted into 'park' and vehicle is turned off. The parking brake failure poses a safety risk for serious injuries and even death to my family as my house is at the bottom of my driveway. Demand letter for refund sent to toyota.

Upper steeringcolumn shaft start to knock very loud /bushing falling apart

Platinum tundra.leather interior side moldings above door handles are melting.during summer temperatures, 3 of the 4 interior leather door molding become sticky to the touch - when trying to wipe clean, the leather smears and scrapes off.i reported to toyota dealer in brandon; they took pictures and sent to corporate.was told it is not a recall, and i just past warranty (within 6 months) it is not covered.

Paint started chipping after 3 months.the truck is starting to rust now at a 1 and a half old.i notified the dealer about the chipping.they did nothing.

All 4 exterior door handles stick open. (occasionally)door does not latch when shut. Driving away and turning corner, doors fly's open. Toyota sent out 'warranty enhancement program details' letter to have it repaired, but since dealer cannot duplicate it, they deny correcting the problem.i provided photo proof of handles stuck open they still will not correct problem!called toyota i have claim # and wrote letter still refuse to correct problem. Stating they cannot do warranty repair unless it can be duplicated at the dealership.it is my job to take off work and keep bringing vehicle back to dealer until they can duplicate the issue.they do not believe photographic proof. Won't reimburse me time off of work to keep bringing vehicle back to dealer.they are of no help. 9th toyota in a row for me. Moving to ford.

I have encountered much confusion surrounding the verbiage on the tire rating sticker on my vehicle.i suspect weight of occupants plus cargo is meant to include all weight applied to the vehicle, including hitch weight.yet both toyota customer service, and also ford customer service, have told me that 'cargo' does not include hitch weight.cargo is understood to be in the truck and not external to the truck.the implication is that curb weight is needed in order to calculate payload when towing because the occupants plus cargo sticker doesn't apply.in my case the curb weight provided to me prior to purchase was incorrect and as a result i now have a vehicle which has a payload rating that is inadequate to tow my trailer.i believe the tire rating sticker is a nhtsa requirement?what does the word cargo on that sticker mean?why do you not require the word 'payload'?

From what i can tell from 2007 onward toyoda has had a problem with the secondary air are the aip pumps , there mixing water and gas in to the container pumps which is causing faulty pumps in going out . Being that this is part of the emissions it has safety hazards to come with it someone needs to check this out.

Bfgoodrich rugged terrain tires p275/55r20 are not safe.my tires began to show separation at tread line at 10,000miles taken to dealer and offered 65%, declined and went to tire store and offered 85%.i am monitoring tires currently.

Gear shifter hangs up in park, toyota wanted $1,000.00 to replace total gear-shifter they said it is a common problem.

I purchased the intergrated trailer brake controller and had it installed.the controller does not providesignificant braking to the trailer. I have switched back to a after market controller until toyota comes up with a fix.

The bolt for the wiper blade on the driver side loosens up making the wiper inoperable and bad weather conditions.

Wiper mechanical components under the hood broke loose from wiper transmission on drivers side during heavy rain/sleet/snow without warning. Passenger side still worked. Research indicates years 2015-2018 non lubricated, non repairable plastic components used in mechanical arms wear quickly. Rust because components not protected from weather as preciously built. Would have caused an accident on two lane road if not for passenger to guide to safe stop. This occurred on two lane highway driving highway speed with oncoming traffic. The complete wiper components need to be safety recalled and replaced with redesigned components on all toyota models affected. Wiper linkage - toyota (85150-0c070). Note:dnot have exact date this occurred because left sitting until weather cleared.

Hello, my name is [xxx] and i am contacting you regarding a recent safety issue my parents experienced. This is what happened:driving down the freeway at 70 mph, my dad went to adjust his outside mirrors. When doing so, his finger brushed the "fold" button by accident, and the outdoor side mirrors folded in. He wasn't aware that he touched the button as he has never used this feature in the past. Needless to say they are now driving 70 mph in a very large truck and do not have a clear safe view as they have to change 4 lanes to exit the freeway and then navigate to a safe area to try to fix this issue.the following information has been copied and pasted from the owner's manual." when you are heading into a narrow parking space or garage, press the "fold" button in the upper right corner of the side mirror controls, just to the left of the steering column.both mirrors will fold in toward the side windows.to put them back into driving position, press the button again." it is my opinion that this feature is dangerous. The feature should only operate at an extremely slow rate of travel. This feature is only needed in tight parking spots and should not engage at high rates of speed. The owners manual even states not to drive the car with the mirrors folded. But if you do not know how they were engaged, how do you know how to rectify it while driving down the freeway at 70 mph? it is an accident and a lawsuit just waiting to happen.thank you.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Standard wheels trap and retain water. This causes seals on tire pressure monitor valve stems to be submerged in trapped water (or ice in cold weather) causing premature deterioration of valve stem seals. This has caused failure of seals on 2 separate wheels on 2 separate occasions. Vehicle is less than 5 years old with less than 35k miles. Vehicle has not been in any accidents due to this problem. 1st event was 03/16/2019, 2nd event was 11/06/2019.

The contact owns a 2015 toyota tundra equipped with bridgestone dueler h/t 684 ii tires, size: p255/70/r18 (na). While having routine maintenance performed on the vehicle, the technician informed the contact that the front tires needed to be replaced due to wear on the treads of the tires(just the driver side front tire only. The tires were not replaced. The tires were the original equipment. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage of the tires and the vehicle was 30,000 miles.
