The passenger seatbelt light keeps blinking when seat belt is buckled and it says passenger airbag is off while there is someone in there and buckled up. This happens when parked or driving, we have unhooked the batteryto try to reset it. No luck. I am afraid if we were to get in an accident the passenger airbag would not deploy.

Apple iphone xr will not stay connected vis bluetooth. Unable to use hands free. I have to use my phone and vehicle for work. Toyota care rep says ' we'll let you know when we find a fix'

Entune radio/headunit (hu) reboot itself while in a call.reboot occurs while vehicle is in motion at any speed, during any driving condition. As the hu reboots, driver is unable to use rear-view camera and any other feature displayed in hu. Road attention is affected since driver is distracted by the screen going black and on again. Also if driver is in a call has to end call from the phone and call again using the phone. No message or error code was displayed on hu. Dealer asked to film the issue with the cellphone in order to service the hu. Dealer is encouraging the use of phone while driving to film an issue that they should check by looking for the hu error log. Moreover, i found in forums and youtube people reporting this rebooting issue in entune hu since 2016. The vehicle only have 2k miles and 3 month from bought and hu have shown reboot issue at least 20 times while connected to cellphone via bluethooth.

Bluetooth randomly disconnects during a phone call. Happened about 5 times on my way to work. Used another phone and did same thing. Dealership said they need more complaints before a recall is issued.

Iphone will not stay connected with my bluetooth radio making it able to have hands free calling. I am using a iphone 11pro max.

Radio/head unit keeps rebooting. Even when no bluetooth is connected.

Due to the fact that we never test drove the 2019 toyota tacoma that we were given to purchase, and my husband drove the vehicle home i did not have the chance to try the vehicle until we arrived home.the first time that i sat in the vehicle, i felt extreme discomfort and electric shocks from the vehicle, very similar to the electric shocks that i received from the 2017 toyota prius.my husband thought that it was caused from my health condition from my car accident and he agreed that, since i did not feel any discomfort driving the sienna, he would be the only that would drive the tacoma and that i would primarily drive the sienna.when we took the 2019 toyota sienna back to dealership on february 13, 2020, i was forced to drive the 2019 toyota tacoma and while doing so i felt the same electric shocks and they were more intense and stronger to extent that it caused extreme pain in my stomach and bruises on my body.in the case of the seatbelt, it did not rest on my neck like the in the sienna, but it rested on my arm where i received bruises from the seatbelt.

It started with my csae file at toyota#2003022885 then went to the conusmer protection agency case#2020-03344 they sent me to lemon law got you email off recall notice.basicaly they told me at first not to drive truck fast[couln't tell me how fast]because truck could shut down.i got the formal recall in the mail 3/20/20 i have not heard from the dealership or toyota since. The truck makes me very nervous driving it because i don't know how fast i can drive it without having a wreck.it's a lease vehicle i think they should either fix it or terminate the lease

A lot of us tacoma owners are having trouble with our blue tooth dropping out during phone calls. I live in massachusetts and they frown us from holding your cell phone to talk to someone. I purchased a 2019 and it has 900 miles and did not ever think this would be a problem with a brand new truck. To this day, it's still a problem.

While stationary under the water flow of a carwash water began pouring from under the dash board on to the passenger side floorboard. Toyota states it is the way the vehicle is designed, cannot be repaired and is not a " warrantable defect".

On entering an intersection the vehicle applied brakes automatically and without warning. At that time the path forward of the vehicle was clear. This action caused a safety hazard by stalling the vehicle in the intersection. Applying gas resulted in no forward movement. Oncomingtraffic had to stop abruptly to avoid a collision with my vehicle. I have been to the toyota dealership two times to have this repaired to no avail. The last communication from toyota concerning my complaint was a phone call from a factory rep advising me that i needed to read my owners manual regarding this issue.at this point i an afraid to drive the vehicle. Please help.nhtsa ref# 247577.

The head unit is inoperable when connected to bluetooth and handsfree driving function is inoperable.toyota is aware of the issue and has no resolutions, but to blame panasonic. I started to notice when you would stop at a red. Light and apply the brakes the pedal would slowly ease off like it had air in the brake line.this went on for a couple of months.i had a doctors appointment and when i got to the office and was pulling in the parking space i pressed the brake and it went to the floor so i pressed the second time and the same thing i didn't have time to try the third time because i hit the concrete wall and did approximately $5200 damages to my vehicle.the engine has a noise in engine compartment on the passenger side that sounds like a lifter making a noise that can be heard over the engine running.the brake problem i believe has to do with the booster.

Unprompted acceleration - while driving at about 15 mph in moderate traffic, i accelerated briefly and then let off the gas pedal. After releasing the gas pedal, the truck continued to accelerate and even downshifted, causing the truck to lurch forward.conditions - i was in light to moderate traffic on my commute to work. The traffic was stop-and-go. The cars ahead of me accelerated, so i did as well. The cars ahead of me quickly decelerated, so i let off the gas but did not need to brake as i was a safe distance. The truck continued to accelerate well after i let off the gas and it lurched forward and downshifted in the process. The engine rpm went to about 3,500.i was able to apply the brake, and the acceleration stopped and the engine went back to idle. I have experienced deceleration lag in many vehicles, but in this case, it was a surge, not a lag. It was long enough for me to think of shifting to neutral and applying the emergency brake.

While driving in cruise control on a relatively traffic free road there was an accident far ahead the road and the vehicle automatically started to decelerate i took control, and after i took controlall the lights on the control panel light up and the vehicle got jerky. I was able to stop and since there was an accident i turned off the vehicle and restarted it again. It acted normal after that particular incident. I mentioned it to the mechanic when time came for its factory maintenance, but the dealer was not able to explain the situation. I became aware at that time of the recall.

Bluetooth handsfree doesn't work with truck and iphone. Talking to tacoma, they said that their system cant keep up with apply and their technology. This doesn't work for being handsfree on the road which is what toyota advertises and is the law.

Exterior headlights are inadequate as the illumination is inadequate and doesn't meet minimum safety standards for avehicle on country roads. The interior switches are not illuminated and during evening operation making safe adjustments an impossibility. Auto-dim overrides normal safe high beam operation as sensor is activated from any roadside reflective surface while vehicle is in motion. The problem almost manifested in several near accidents. This is a major latent design and equipment defect and is unsafe in nighttime operation. The consumer stated that on the computer screen the left side index was masked during the day time. Transmission shifts when it should not shift! it also jerks when accelerating and maintaining speeds. While in cruse control the truck drops in 20mph in speed really concerning when it would cause a bad wreck while it drops it constantly still jerks and it also floors the truck to get back up to the preselected speed and transmission jerks and studders and drops and speeds back up and so it sounds like it could blow up from it flooring and dropping in speed and flooring it in cruse control this needs fixed and worked out!transmission shouldnā€™t be jerking or hunting for gears

I learned about a safety recall on my truck through my insurance app which send me to your website. This recall was reported to you in january 2020, until this date 5/13/20 i have not receive any communications from toyota explaining the issue that could be potentially affecting the safety of my vehicle. There is still no fix to this problem and i don't feel safe driving this vehicle. How much longer before you force toyota to take action.

Vehicle tends to stall after take off (4 cylinder) i've taken the truck to the toyota dealership service (no open recall) and service tech/mechanic stated that's how the 4 cylinder is suppose to drive. (not true) i've experienced this problem during take off at stop lights, inability to accelerate while going up slight hills (even after being at 50 mph or over) the truck still won't accelerate (like it's stuck in a gear) has nothing to do with gas level (full, half, quarter) my truck only has 3,300 miles on it and i bought it brand new almost a year ago.

Low pressure fuel pump recall back since jan 2020 stating stall/crash condition can occur - can't drive this vehicle out of town any distance out of fear of breakdown - this an this vehicle has been plagued with drive line issues since day 1 with differential replacement after failed ncds claim and 4 dealer visits finally to get them to admit it was faulty (noting excess shavings) then transfer case housing leak - vehicle still makes noise and is sluggish at times with severe hesitation and no remedy in sight 7 months later for a low pressure fuel pump recall - toyota gets away with whatever they want and the consumers have to put up with it and fight their puppet dealer stall tactics to remedy their defects - where is stronger government regulation to protect consumers?

I have experienced deceleration lag in many vehicles, but in this case, it was a surge, not a lag. It was long enough for me to think of shifting to neutral and applying the emergency brake.

Recalled fuel pump with no remedy- constant vibration from 20-40mph - automatically braking from shadows- automatically redlines when cold driving - various trim melting from the sun - power steering fluid disappearing told them at every service since new - again on march 25 was told truck was good - then on march 26 they tell me they are replacing an entire steering rack. Rear brake drums are loud and clumsy feeling - rear end whine - mpg 17 at the best- stalls shifting from d > r < d. This truck is a death trap. It is sitting at the dealership waiting for a fuel pump recall remedy. The auto braking and automatic acceleration has almost killed me and most likely would have a less experienced driver. Toyota of nashia nh have given me no updates. They have locked me into this lease without paying thousands to get out of it. The date of occurrence i put is a random date as all of these issues have been happening since ieased the vehicle brand new. Toyota of nashua of course can never replicate any problems. I need help asap getting away from this truck and i cannot get any help. I am 100 percent disabled veteran and needed a reliable vehicle not a death trap. Help me please.

In feb 2019, i purchased a new toyota tacoma from cavender toyota, located in san antonio texas.in less than two (2) years and with only 7,084 miles, i received recall notices pertaining to its radar sensor system and fuel pump. The former alerts the driver when another vehicle or obstacle is too close; the remedy was installed by the dealer this year. The latter remains and is still pending development/delivery by headquarters (hq) toyota projected for late sep 2020. In the interim, the risk is the 2019 toyota tacoma can stall while driving. On 6 aug 2020, my vehicle stalled while exiting my drive way. Upon taking it to the dealer, the service representative and manager advised nothing can be done since the part is not available. They said the risk is the truck may stall again and to call roadside assistance to have it towed. They also stated the fuel pump recall pertains to the toyota tacoma, corolla, sienna, and highlander. Due to safety hazard posed and my dissatisfaction with the responses provided by the service representative and manager, they recommended contacting hq toyota to relay my views. On 7 aug, i did so. The hq customer service experience advocate provided the same response. Specifically, nothing further can be done to remedy the issue since the part is being developed. On 17 aug, my vehicle completely stalled while approaching a red light at a major intersection. I immediately reached out to roadside assistance and waited for two hours in extreme weather conditions before the vehicle was loaded and towed to the dealer. The vehicle now resides at the cavender toyota dealer's parking lot where it sits with other vehicles having the same issue, until the part is produced/shipped and can be fixed. On 18 aug 2020, i provided an update to hq toyota on my horrible experience and safety concerns. They reiterated nothing further can be done at this time.

I was drivin in the highway 65 m/h and i was using the cruise control, just as it passed through the ezpass toll booth the pre-collision system activated and brake abruptly,i also feel that when you drive about 60 miles per hour you apply the brake i feel small vibrations in the car and finally the 4x4 control knob is close to the fan knob and by mistake i connected the 4x4 when i want to turn on the fan i think it should have something like security to not be connected so easily

The contact owns a 2019 toyota tacoma. The contact stated that he was made aware that the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 20v012000 (fuel system, gasoline). The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer and dealer were not made aware of the issue. The part was not available for the repair. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

In october of 2020 they replaced the fuel pump then noticed a hose was bad it would take 2 months to get that hose.. Upon driving my vehicle i noticed an 4mpg lost.was getting 22 mpg prior to the change.i have been in contact w/toyota in texas and they send a 'factory rep' tolook at my truck.here is the problem he snapped a picture stating my truck got 28.6 mpg, upon getting into my truck it read 20.6 mpg. They refuse to replacethe fuel pump and hose at another dealership. The secretary at toyota said if they would change and it didn't make a difference they would be wasteful. I said replace it and we will see however you say you not going with the customer the paid good hard earns money for this vehicle we will never know. All i want: is the have a new fuel pump and hose put into my tacoma, it may not or it will prove there was a problem.i am see i am no alone with this reduction of mpg's with high gas prices.....

Received notice of a recall on the low pressure fuel pump in november 2020; still have not been notified to bring my truck in for repairs.i don't feel safe driving more than 20 or 30 miles from home as i don't want to be stranded if the fuel pump fails.

2019 toyota tacoma in less than 2 weeks has been taken to 2 different workshops of the toyota company, because when trying to turn it on it does not keep the gear down until it turns off and then does not turn on, it has given misfire code in different cylinders and dtc p-008700 on different occasions and the answer from the adviser is that the pick-up is being used with little gasoline.on the instrument panel turns on the check engine and track off light.

Truck stalled while on on ramp. I was moving and just about to merge on highway

Local toyota dealership in sierra vista, arizona has stated on multiple occasions that they do not have the parts and are not ordering them.

Noticeable vibration when slowing down. It happens between 40mph to 0 mph. Slight vibration while accelerating from a stop to around 45mph. Engine also surges, and has trouble finding the correct gear while accelerating or decelerating. When put in neutral while slowing down, the vibration is not felt at all. Took the truck to the dealership, explained the issues. Was told nothing was mechanically wrong. They rotated my tires and did a front end alignment. The truck has just over 12k on it ! this is a disaster in the making.

Initial notice of recall in november 2019, by press.faulty fuel pump can lead to vehicle stall at high speed.resulant serious injury or death.i have inquired numerous times at the local toyota dealership in person, by phone, and email.never get the same or a response that is definitive...i do not feel safe in this vehicle and after researching and finding a class action lawsuit on this matter, i have decided to get rid of this vehicle..it has had several recalls already and noted several other issues with the transmission shifting, body, brakes and rear differential.to be blunt this vehicle is substandard, over-priced by toyota and has led me to believe that toyota design, construction and sales are shoddy and deceptive at best.

My vehicle (vin# [xxx]) has not had safety recall addressed by my local dealership. The recall was initiated on 28 october 2020. The local dealership has had more than a month to make a plan to fix the problem and has responded to my request by stating that parts are not yet available and feel i should continue to operate my vehicle in its current state.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

I was driving on the street that leads to my house when my truck completely shut off.i do not believe that it's safe for me and my family or the publicfor that vehicle to be out on the road.

2019 toyota tacoma trd off-road 4x4 11,800 miles. -driving at highway speeds on busy interstate in traffic. Check engine light appears, then vehicle loses all power. Miracleulously was able to coast into a clearing on side of road, with being struck by another vehicle. Had vehicle towed to. Newbold toyota o'fallon, illinois. They kept the truck two days, said the ran numerous test, but could not determine cause. So, now i have a brand new truck, that i am not going to be willing to drive with my 2 children in, because it's obviously is going to happen again.

In march received the nhtsa recall no. 20v-012 notice from toyota for my 2019 tacoma.on january 13, 2020, toyota submitted a safety recall report (the 'recall report') to nhtsa voluntarily recalling nearly 700,000 toyota and lexus vehiclesmanufactured between august 1, 2018 through january 31, 2019 with defective low pressure denso fuel pumps.i contacted toyota and they said the "remedy" will not be available until september 2020.this means my truck could fail for a full six months between the time of the notification and the "remedy" and a full 9 months from the filing date.meanwhile the vehicle could fail.the denso low-pressure fuel pump is also listed in a similar recall for subaru.why are these companies given so much time to remedy a known major safety problem while these vehicles are still on the road?thank you for your time,[xxx]redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *cc

I paid cash for a 2019 tacoma and the dealer said it would be 2 weeks to get the recall fix.that was in early february no fix no car no money

No recall information was sent to me regarding my vehicle. It states this type of recall was discovered in january. It is now march.

Toyota sold this vehicle knowing of defective fuel pump - had issues day one with long crank cycles to start. Loud knocking of high pressure fuel pump reported also-probably related to low pressure fuel pump malfunction and cavitation at high pressure pump. I have also experienced rough idle and jerking. I contacted selling dealer in jan 2020 after recall with no remedy issued and they stated that there was only like 1 vehicle affected - outright lie. There is class action suit for this defect in progress and over 2000 pumps had failed and toyota knew about it. Other problems with vehicle including faulty differential and it took 4 visits and failed ncds claim for toyota to admit it was defective and replace only after 12,000 lemon law limit in kentucky. Toyota and its' dealers are cover up artists. Sitting here still with vehicle unsafe to drive with no fuel pump even after 10 months - final remedy came in on toyota owners website and called selling dealer and they said i had to go on waiting list for 2-3 weeks to even get the part - toyota should buy back this vehicle.

Well the vehicle has a manufacturer recall number 20ta02 and i've contacted the dealer and still haven't taken care of it for reasons unknown.

The contact owns a 2019 toyota tacoma. The contact had taken the vehicle to turner toyota (2262 e main st, montrose, co 81401) for a maintenance check up when he was informed that his vehicle was undernhtsa campaign number: 20v012000 (fuel system, gasoline). The contact called mountain states toyota (201 w 70th ave, denver, co 80221) where he was informed that the parts were not yet available. The contact had not spoken with the manufacturer. A failure had not occurred on the vehicle. Vin tool confirms parts not available. *lnconsumer sold the truck on 5/8/20.

The fuel pump was running when the truck was stationary and not started. The key was not in the ignition.

There is currently an open re-call on the fuel pump.i do not feel like it's being fixed in a timely manner.toyota keeps changing the remedy date.

To whom it may concern,i was issued a recall on this vehicle for a defective fuel pump. I have been attempting to rectify the situation through city world toyota located at 3333 boston road, bronx, ny 10469. On 7/1/2021 i spoke with jorcelyn and was told the part needed to replace the defective component was not in stock and it would be ordered and available within a 4 weeks. I was told i would receive a call back and never did.on 8/9/2021, over a month later, i got in touch with wasile and was again told the part was not in stock. I was told they would check and then call back the following day. Again, i never received a call back. On 8/12/2021 i called again and was told they do not have the part in stock and would call back with an eta. It was been months since this recall was issued and city world toyota has not rectified the issue. This vehicle has been unsafe to drive since the recall has been issued and i have been pleading with them to resolve it. The customer service standards as well as the regard for safety from city world toyota has been abysmal. There is no doubt this establishment is blatantly ignoring these safety recalls for not only myself but many others as well.

I had to recall before , but i did not see anythings and i was waiting so long

The subject vehicles are equipped with a low-pressure fuel pump which may stop operating. If this were to occur, warning lights and messages may be displayed on the instrument panel, and the engine may run rough. This may result in a vehicle stall, and the vehicle may be unable to be restarted.if a vehicle stall occurs while driving at higher speeds, this could increase the risk of a crash.

There has been an open recall since jan 13,2020 for a faulty fuel pump that may cut off, especially at high-speeds.there is no fix or resolution.this makes driving the vehicle very stressful and causes extreme stress in driving, both at highway speeds and city speeds.toyota has failed to follow through and is putting drivers at risk.

Purchased 2019 toyota truck / tacoma 4wd/dbl cb 4w and was advised of a recall issue with the fuel pump. Now we don't drive it due to fear of an accident. Can't go off road due to fear fuel pump failure where we would be stranded out in desert. The vehicle i purchased basically sits in the driveway and toyota has no remedy and it has been over 6 months now waiting for the recall issue to be repaired. The engine stalls when coasting.the vehicle was in motion on a state highway.a recall notice was issued on january 13, 2020 for this issue but six months have elapsed with no remedy yet available.this is too long.

The fuel pump on my tacoma failed. The truck has stalled at high speed multiple times. The truck has failed to restart after stalling.

Sometimes the engine will spit and sputter . Not always . I have heard that toyota has a recall on the fuel pump on some models. My truck is a 2019tacoma.

I've noticed times when the vehicle loses power when driving and stalls.according to the recall their fuel pump was supposed to be fixed around april and i still haven't received any word on the remedy from toyota.

Driving highway speed. My truck had 5-6 gallons in the tank. Suddenly the lights on dash went off and loss of power. Truck would only drive 25mph. I had to pullover and thought i was gonna get crushed by the 18 wheeler behind me. Very dangerous situation. Now i do not let the tank get below 1/2 empty. Very annoying for a $55,000 truck

The vehicle did not include a transfer case skid plate. The steering had issues and was noisy as if driving over a rumble strip.

When applying the power brakes at a stop the pedal after a few seconds starts to fade to the floor if released and reapplied they come back up to stop position and will fade again. When backing up and brakes are applied and backing slowly to house garage the brake starts to fade to the floor and has to be reapplied to stop the truck. Yesterday in a shopping mall i had to go around a parked car with another car headed in my direction had to apply brakes and slowly move past the parked car the pedal went so far down my foot hit the accelerator and had to take my foot off the brake pedal and reapply the brakes.had truck back to toyota dealer twice and they insist there is no problem with the truck. If you have ever driven an older car where the master cylinder fails that is exactly what it feels like, having that experience once in my driving career of over 60 years/ the truck to me is not a safe vehicle to drive and am concerned for myself and my wifes safety.called customer service 1-800 number and was told nothing they can do if service dept said no problem with the truck, looking for some solution i see others have posted the same problem on your web site.thank you .

A couple times over the last several months, i've had problems with rpms surging (between 800 & 1200) shortly after starting the truck when the vehicle is cold; both while idling in park and shortly after placing the vehicle into d or r.this has resulted in unintended vehicle movement when it started surging after the truck was put into drive.this has happened when pulling out of my driveway on cold mornings or leaving an appointment or work after the truck had sat & cooled.the rpm surge wasn't an issue while it was simply idling.however, it has occasionally started surging after i placed the vehicle into drive.i placed the vehicle into drive, let off the gas but had not yet (or just starting to) pressed on the gas pedal.the surging was powerful enough to cause the vehicle to lurch forward significantly which is potentially very dangerous. In one instance i had driven maybe 100 yards and pulled up to a stop.as i was just letting off the brake to enter traffic and not yet pressed on the gas pedal it started surging and jerked forward.i had to slam on the brakes to prevent hitting other vehicles.this lasted for a minute or so and forced me to stay on the brake and block traffic until the surging stopped. This problem has occurred only a couple of times but is a huge safety risk to myself and others due to the unintended acceleration/vehicle movement when the rpm's surged while the powertrain was engaged.toyota has acknowledged the surging and has stated there is no repair at this time.however, toyota has also tried to tell me that it is operating as 'normal'.i have taken the truck to the shop several times and they have stated that they have seen the surging but because they have not experienced the surging when the powertrain is engaged (it happens only occasionally) the vehicle is operating normally.this is not normal or safe.

I notice that my tacoma 2019 sr5 vibrate when i'm braking from 20mph to 0. I don't know if it is a brake problem or the transmission when it shifting down on gear.

Truck starting lunge forward while in highway going speed limit almost like it's slipping gears

2019 toyota tacoma trd prorear differential has oil leak.

This tacoma sr5 is brand new, about 400 miles on it so far. Noticing a lot of hunting by the transmission to find a gear it is happy with for a given speed and terrain.but the most concerning issue is that it pulses hard when slowing to a stop.thought it was the brake rotors at first, but i put the transmission in neutral while braking, and braking in neutral works very smoothly.seems more like the torque converter doesn't want to disengage.also notice a whistling sound from the rear when accelerating thru approx 40mph. Will be taking it in to the dealer soon to have these things checked. I love the truck otherwise, and was planning to own this vehicle for 10+ yrs, but this is not a good start.

My vehicle (vin# [xxx]) has not had safety recall addressed by my local dealership. The recall was initiated on 28 october 2020. This tacoma sr5 is brand new, about 4700 miles on it so far. Noticing a lot of hesitation between the 35-60 mph. After weeks of taking the vehicle back to savannah toyota, its the torque converter. The vehicle has slow pick up and hard acceleration from a stop to position. Toyota says it's normal, but several other owners are having the same problem. I have attached the service order to the complaint.

Truck has very pronounced shuddering during braking between 40-10 mph. It also has shuddering during cruising between 25-45 mph. Rear differential howls while cruising at 40-50 mph and sometimes during deceleration.

While driving the truck at normal speed 45+ miles and slowing down vehicle has severe vibration felt through out the car. It gets worst when braking slowly as it comes to a stop. Its felt on the steering wheel, brake pedal, seats as well as through out the entire truck. Took it to the dealership and they said it's normal but i have never felt this on any toyotas. I have worked for toyota for many years and to have the dealership telling me this is normal is just crazy. I believe it's coming from the drive shaft or rear axle area but by me fixing my own truck is not going to resolve anything. Therefore i am writing to you to see if you can try to resolve this issue.this issue has been going on from the day 1 of the purchase and getting worse. Thank you

For no reason at all my 2019 toyota tacoma sr5 stalled and displayed a "high transmission temp warning". This occurred within a few blocks of leaving my home. A tow was necessary to get the truck to autonation toyota, clearwater for diagnosis and repair. Autonation made no repairs as they said they could not replicate the problem. An online search revealed this high transmission temp warning and stalling has been occurring on tacomas and tundras for the last 5 years. This could pose a very dangerous situation if the stall occurred on a highway or interstate. I'm sure toyota is aware of the problem, but likely have kept quiet about it. Since this happened i feel uneasy every time i take the vehicle anywhere. I'm hoping nhtsa can help to resolve this safety issue.

Acceleration is often hesitant and jerky. When at a complete stop, turning or driving , i will push the gas to accelerate but the truck takes about 2 seconds to finally move.the dealership stated it was the traction control because i turn too fast. When asked about why it hesitates to accelerate when at a stop or when i'm driving straight, they stated they didn't know but it wasn't an issue since their mechanicals couldn't replicate the problem.i don't feel confident or safe in this truck.

Very loud whine from rear differential while driving at various speeds. Most notably between speeds of 50-60 mph. This issues has been documented with previous year models of the same vehicle. However, the problem has not been fixed by the manufacturer with subsequent model years.

I purchased and drove a brand new 2019 toyota tacoma trd off road 4x4 6'bed off the lot, with only ten miles on it. I was driving on the interstate back to my hometown and was broken down on the side of the road at 236 miles. While driving on the interstate, the rpm odometer gauge suddenly began to jump rapidly while the vehicle simultaneously lost power and speed and the whole vehicle lurched forward abruptly a few times. I pulled over immediately. I turned off the vehicle. Turned it back on, and it lurched forward and was clearly not drivable so i turned it back off. At no point did any check engine light or warning signals go off on the vehicle either while driving or after having pulled over. It was three hours before roadside assistance got a tow truck to arrive. Upon loading the vehicle onto the tow truck, it was clear that transmission fluid was leaking in large quantities as it was visibly pooled where it had been parked, had leaked all over the underside of the vehicle and continued to pour out all over the tow truck bed. The service department at the nearest toyota dealership where the tow truck had delivered the vehicle to later inspected the vehicle and informed me that a manufacturer seal had failed causing the transmission to leak and that the entire transmission needed to be replaced. This vehicle should have never passed quality assurance/quality control and should never have left the manufacturer. This vehicle's final assembly point was listed as baja california, mexico.

Loud rattletlin noise heard at undercarriage when moving in neutral thru a bumpy road.

It has happened 3 times.mainly when i'm stopped and then trying to turn.i havemy foot on the accelerator but it just won't go.it's a few seconds, then the truck willfinally go.it only has about 200 miles on it.2019 tacoma sr. I could get rearended or block the road if i get stalled!unsafe

Cruise control slams on brakes, when in opposing lane of another car. On the same side of the road, on the interstate at, 70 miles an hour, then the cruise control, floors the throttle to around, 5,000 rpm's. Then the driveshaft has vibration, around 44 - 45miles an hour, also vibrates in certain rpm ranges.which franklin toyota, gladly told me, it's just a characteristic of the truck. When i know that it's not, another thing truck sometimes gets stuck in certain rpm ranges, like 3,000 rpms, at 55 miles an hour, then when you go up a hill, it feels like transmission is slipping only have 1,800 miles on it, this truck sucks terribly, oh and the driver's side window, gas developed, a rattle after about 1600 miles, not too happy with my purchase, feel like i got ripped off. Will never buy another toyota. And the best part i'm paying 35,000 $ over a 6 year period for this piece of junk. Toyota it seems makes nothing but clunkers

After purchasing a 2019 tacoma trd off-road it developed a rubbing noise. My first two complaints were brushed off. On my third complaint i was informed of a tsb related to bad axles. The tsb doesn't pertain to the trd trims but only the sr5 and lower. The axles have been replaced twice and still have noise. The truck has been in the shop since they started repairs. The third axle has been ordered. The mechanics from toyota stated that it usually takes about 6 new axles until the problem is corrected. Noise was only noted at low speeds.

While driving on cruise control the engine shifts to a higher gear for no reason resulting in higher gas usage. I also noticed while having the radar on while on adaptive cruise control, the vehicle will automatically "slam" the brakes for no reason resulting me in a bad situation due to traffic. The system engages the brakes for no reason even though the vehicle that the system is detecting is not even close to me in the front. Please fix this cruise control issue

Clutch pedal makes a fairly loud creaking noise upon release in the 6 speed manual trim. Once the truck is warmed up and has been driven a little, while shifting gears and releasing the clutch, the pedal creaks the full length of motion from bottom to top every single press of the pedal. Previous years have had this issue and it is covered by t-sb-0186-12 r2.

Purchased my vehicle on 10/19/19. Shortly thereafter, i began experiencing the following: in the drive mode, the vehicle does not down-shift properly (a lag) to lower gears when slowing down from higher speeds(50-60 mph) to lower speeds (30-40 mph). It stays in 5th or 6th gear too long, causing the truck/transmission to "lug" down with some engine "missing" before it finally downshifts automatically.i have to drive in the sport mode and manually shift gears regularly to circumvent this problem. The transmission shift points are not set correctly, and/or the transmission torque converter stays engaged/locked in too long at higher gears when slowing down to lower speeds. This will eventually lead to transmission bearing failures and safety problems if the transmission-engine starts to stall/cut out.toyota corporate has been non-responsive to my complaint submitted.

Ii have a 2019 toyota tacoma 6-speed manual transmission. I am experiencing a rattling noise from the transmission whenever you are rolling from a low speed in neutral. You would be able to hear the rattle from the transmission intensify if ever you are rolling through a speed bump at low speeds in neutral.

Transmission shutters and jerky when accelerating. Vibration when slowing down and during braking.

2019 tacoma sport, transmission judder, vibrate onslowing down and light acceleration on step incline on town or highwaytoyota dealer, toyota of olympia in washingtonsays it's normal that works as designed. This can't be normal getting worse the more i drive only 3300 miles pls help with this problem more peopleare complainingabout this issue. Thank you

Having issue with the truck 'lurching and jerking" with rpms fluctuationing between 500 and 1000. This happens primarily in reverse with your foot on the brake with steady prussure. I had an uncomfortable incident with a woman in the supermarket parking lot. She saw that i had stopped to let her pass behind me when the truck took a short hop backwards. She was not happy. She took my plate # and said that she was going to file a complaint with the local pd . I have taken the truck to the local dealer and the old standard answer, " its normal".the tech that evaluated my truck verified that it was in fact lurching.. I think its a safety issue and have opened a claim with toyota care. This is not a new issue as there are several written concerns in the tacoma forums and on social media. I would hate to see someone get injured. I am not an automotive technician but i believe this possibly may be a software issue between the throttle control and onboard computer

I took my 2019 tacoma sr5 to headquater toyota miami today. I told them that my truck vibrate when braking between 25 to 15 mph. They inspected my truck and told me they felt the vibration so they called the corporate and the mechanic was told to test drive a similar truck. The mechanic told me that it does the same thing and to wait for a maybe recall. Next week i'm taking my truck to another dealer.

From day one the tacoma vibrates and shutters when breaking.the dealership said that toyota would not look at it until i drove 1,500 miles first.the first time i brought in to the dealership they said they could not find anything wrong and it was ok.the second time i brought it to the dealership they said they had to shave the front rotors and sand the brake pads.the third time i brought it to the dealership they said it had defective rear bent axles and they had to replace those components.i understand toyota has been aware of these issues for several years.

1. Vibration felt when slowing down. Usually between 50 and 20. Below 20 it goes away. Feels like the tires are out of balance but my truck has 8k miles on it and i have felt it since the day i bought it. 2.also when the transmission is out of gear and clutch is out or the rear endmakes a squeaking noise when hitting bumps. 3.clutch makes a noise when releasing it. 4.high pitch hum in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th when maintaining consistent speed. Took it to the dealer, the dealer was able to replicate the issues with comparabletruck on their lot and brushed it off as normal.

For no reason at all my 2019 toyota tacoma sr5 stalled and displayed a "high transmission temp warning". This occurred whenpicking up my child from school. The truck would not shift and the breaks did not function i had to use ebrake to not hit other vehicles, and was stuck in the middle of the school parking lot with my two young children in az heat.i waited awhile after turning the truck off and shifting to park then turned vehicle back on and it then functioned as normal.i then took the tacoma to avondale toyota, for a diagnosis and repair. So far they have made no repairs as they said they could not replicate the problem and are on day two of having the vehicle testing it to see if it will have issue again. This could be a very dangerous situation if the situation was to occur on a highway or interstateor in the middle of 115 degree weather. Since this happened me and my family feel uneasy every time we take the vehicle anywhere. I'm hoping that this issue does not happen again and either resolves itself or toyota fixes it.that is the reason i purchased a toyota their reputation of reliability, but with less than 300 miles on this vehicle with this issue i hope i do not regret this decision.

Driving to the ups brake malfunction light came, engine light came on, traction control off light on, vehicle lost power, able to only move 1 mile an hour, brake malfunction light also said brake override, advise bring to dealer . Luckily i was a hundred feet away from the toyota dealer when this happened living in a small town. Turn on my hazard lights and drove into toyota dealership.

The seatbelt in the driver seat is extremely hard to buckle. I have to force the the seatbelt into the buckle several times before it latches. I feel like it's a faulty latch and needs to be replaced.

Transmission shutters and jerky when accelerating. Vibration when slowing down and during braking.

Truck is new. Brakes do not function properly. Two times the brakes failed to stop the truck. Flew threw the intersection. The brakes will flutter and fall to the floor. Other times it will be very stiff and stop the car very aggressively. Very dangerous. Brought to toyota in lancaster california and there mechanic said it had no problems. This incident has been documented with witnesses. I will bring back every time this happens.

Hi, i have been experiencing issues with my brakes for a few months now. This is a very new truck with about 6200 miles on it. When i go to bake, it feels very spongy. About half of the times that i press on the brake, i feel like my brake pedal goes almost 75% to the floor. I am worried about my safety, as i feel that i won't be able to stop in time if i needed to.

Both front and rear brakes locked up while moving. Drove a few miles from home to toyota dealer to pick up vehicle tags. Truck is new 1000 miles. After driving to dealer parked truck, got tags, started truck put in reverse and brakes locked up happen multiple times. Good thing it happened at the dealer. Both the service manager and her boss drove it and it happened to them. Truck is now in to fi d out what is happening. It's not a good feeling, don't feel safe driving the truck.

Vibration in seat/cab while applying brakes between 35-15 mph that worsens the more you drive it.vehicle was purchased brand new and has 5000 miles on it and dealer states normal characteristic of vehicle- no problem found.

Thank you

While driving on cruise control when it gets close to another vehicle it slams the brakes on. Has also done this at going high speeds.

Vehicle was driven by wife.she was pulling into a parking spot at 90 degrees, she was braking, and the vehicle failed to stop. She hit a concrete support for a light pole.the passenger side front was damaged, air bags did not deploy, twice while i was driving the vehicle, the "brake!" flashed on the dash info center.both times i was coming to a stop behind vehicles coming to a stop.we contacted the dealership and toyota costumer care, who had an independent source evaluate the "black box:.the data was collected and given to toyota, who informed us that it can take 30 days for an outcome.toyota will not say if the vehicle is safe to drive, it is up to us if we want to drive it.toyota will not provide us alternate transportation, as per toyota assistance pert of the vehicle warranty.so at this time i cannot drive my new, 5000 miles, truck and not provided alternative transportation.

The contact owns 2019 toyota tacoma. The contact stated while driving 40 mph, the brake pedal was depressed however, the vehicle failed to stop in a timely manner. The contacted stated that while depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle would vibrate as well as the brake warning light would be illuminated. The vehicle was taken to northridge toyota (19550 nordhoff st, northridge, ca 91324) where the brake drums were replaced. The contact stated the failure recurred on several occasions. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer at least four times for the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

When driving my 2019 toyota tacoma (approx. 6900 miles) i noticed the brakes were not firm after initial application. The pedal then would slowly sink to the floor and braking power was drastically reduced that time. I pumped the brake and achieved better braking result but when constant pressure was applied the braking result diminished very quickly. This continued during all driving conditions. To me it very closely resembled a master brake cylinder seal failure, which i have experienced with vehicles in the past. I checked the brake fluid level and operated the brakes in a stationary position and the same symptoms occurred. The brake fluid in the reservoir was at the correct level and did not vary. I was able to return the vehicle to the dealer for diagnosis and repair. Upon inspection of the vehicle i was notified that the technician believed the brake master cylinder was faulty. The dealer has ordered the replacement part and provided a rental vehicle at no charge. I was informed everything would be a warranty covered repair.

Multiple occurances - 2019 tacoma 42xxx miles and on the 3rd issue of warping front rotors. Vehicle is highway driven primarily and rotors warp and cause shaking while braking at or around 3000 miles after having them cut or replaced. Shaking is violent when slowing from 65-70mph and lightly present durring city driving. This issue was also a problem on my previous 2019 tacoma, my 2018 toyota chr, and my 2014 toyota corolla leading me to believe this is not a model specific issue. On past vehicle the concern was resolved by switching to a non oem rotor. Every toyota i have driven that was 20110 or newer also has a heavy front bias to its brake pressure distribution which is more thank likely a key component to the cause of this ongoing concern.

My 2019 tacoma 4x4 dbl cab sr5 has 22000 miles on it and has a history of the brakes pulsing. The dealer has replaced both front and rear brakes at 5k and 11k miles, and now again at 22k miles.at each service appointment i complained that the brakes pulse badly, and they confirm that the rotors and back drums are warped. So they replace the rotors & drums, and the problem is relieved for a time, but the pulsing comes back within a few thousand miles. I keep telling the service people that there must be a different problem causing the brakes to warp but they just shrug it off.

My new 2019 tacoma 4x4 trd pro has a terrible vibration problem when stopping from 35 to 40 miles per hour. It feels like it needs a brake job? the vibration starts as you are coming to a complete stop. I had to take it in twice for the same problem (jan 26th, and feb 13th, it's still at the dealer for repairs?

Two days ago i felt slightly softer brake pedal on normal driving. Yesterday, 6/25/20, i was traveling in a 60 mph speed zone approaching a traffic light. Light turned yellow and i attempted to slow and stop. I immediately noticed the brake pedal went very soft and could be pushed almost to floor with very little braking effect. Stopped about two feet into the intersection. Continued trip with caution and soft and abnormal braking capability. Calling toyota today.

While in motion lost more & more braking capabilities! nearly rear ended another auto! the brake pedal was completely compressed to the floorboard. I had to use the e-brake to come to a complete stop.spent the day getting the truck towed into a garage!!

I notice that my tacoma 2019 sr5 vibrate when i'm braking from 20mph to 0. I don't know if it is a brake problem or the transmission when it shifting down on gear.

Truck has very pronounced shuddering during braking between 40-10 mph. It also has shuddering during cruising between 25-45 mph. Rear differential howls while cruising at 40-50 mph and sometimes during deceleration.

The contact owns a 2019 toyota tacoma. The contact stated that when depressing the brake pedal, it would be stiff and other times it would travel to the floorboard. The failure often occurred when the vehicle was in idle. The vehicle was taken to le brun toyota(2435 rochester rd, canandaigua, ny 14424 (585) 312-2703) where the vehicle was not diagnosed. The mechanic stated that there was nothing wrong with the brakes and that the vehicle was functioning as designed. The contact and the mechanic got into another 2019 toyota tacoma on the lot and discovered that vehicle's brakes did the same as his vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and assigned a case number to the contact. In addition, the contact went to the dealer another occasion and test drove another 2019 tacoma which presented the same braking experience. The failure mileage was 1,500.

In the 3 or so months i have had the vehicle, i have experienced several instances of intermittent braking issues. When coming to an unexpected or urgent stop, the brake pedal feels like it cannot be depressed any further and increased pressure to the pedal does not increase stopping power. I am an athletic male weighing 205pounds (point of reference for you on how much pressure i am able to apply). Having owned dozens of cars over 35 years, i have never experienced anything like this. The closest i can describe the issue to any of my experiences would be this: it feels very similar to using a brake on a vehicle that has power brakes when the engine is not running and there is a loss of vacuum to the system. At first, there is initial vacuum assist, but after a moment, incredible pressure is needed to stop the vehicle. I view this as an urgent and important issue. So much so, that i want to get rid of the vehicle for the safety of myself and others. Since the problem is intermittent, i don't know if the dealer can help. I will bring it to them for a check-up as a precaution though.i have tried to replicate the issue in abandoned parking lots, but have yet been unable to do so. There have been at least 3 incidents where this has occurred to me in the 4,000 miles i have driven the truck. I bought the vehicle new and followed the break-in procedures outlined in the manual. It had clear instructions to avoid hard stops, which i was careful to do.

Vehicle stops as expected with normal braking action.while sitting stopped with engine running applying pressure to brake pedal results in brake pedal going almost to the floor ~ seems like the brake pressure is "bleeding off" from the system.in this situation - brake pedal almost to floor - the vehicle does not move.took vehicle to dealer and they said this was "normal" ~ never had this situation in any other vehicle i have owned or driven.in all other vehicles i have driven when the brake is pressed, sopping the vehicle, and with constant pressure on the brake pedal, the pedal does not slowly go down to almost the floor.

I have 3500 miles on the vehicle and on 2 separate occasions with the speed control system engaged the vehicle sensed an obstruction in front of me, when there was none, and abruptly slowed my tacoma down from 65 mph to less than 30 mph.both occurrences were on nj highways.fortunately, the traffic behind me was far enough that i wasn't rear ended.i pulled over and disengaged the cruise control .i have reported both incidents to toyota service in green room nj.

The contact owns a 2019 toyota tacoma. While attempting to park the vehicle, the brakes failed. As a result, the vehicle accelerated forward and crashed into a cement wall. The contact and a passenger were injured and transported to a hospital for medical attention. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. The vehicle's front end was smashed in and the vehicle was towed from the scene. The contact's insurance company handled the claim and the adjusters planned to evaluate the vehicle. The dealer and the manufacturer were not contacted. The failure mileage was 2,000.

The contact owns a 2019 toyota tacoma. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 20v012000 (fuel system, gasoline). The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the check engine warning light illuminated. The brake pedal was depressed and became soft, extending the braking distance. Additionally, the fuel gauge provided inconsistent fuel level readings. The vehicle was towed to keyes toyota (5855 van nuys blvd, van nuys, ca 91401) where it was diagnosed that the fuel tank and fuel gauges needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer on 5 separate occasions due to the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and informed the contact to take the vehicle back to the dealer however, the dealer offered no assistance. The contact referenced nhtsa campaign number: 18v888000 (service brakes, hydraulic) as a possible solution to the failure however, the vin was not included. The failure mileage was approximately 900.

Wandering while driving

Exterior headlights are inadequate as the illumination is inadequate and doesn't meet minimum safety standards for avehicle on country roads. The interior switches are not illuminated and during evening operation making safe adjustments an impossibility. Auto-dim overrides normal safe high beam operation as sensor is activated from any roadside reflective surface while vehicle is in motion. The problem almost manifested in several near accidents. This is a major latent design and equipment defect and is unsafe in nighttime operation. The consumer stated that on the computer screen the left side index was masked during the day time. The vehicle did not include a transfer case skid plate. The steering had issues and was noisy as if driving over a rumble strip.

The contact owns a 2019 toyota tacoma. The contact stated that the center console by the auxiliary ports became overheated and a bubble was formed. The contact was concerned about a possible car fire due to the heat discharged from the charging ports. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted nor notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 10,000.

Bluetooth handsfree doesn't work with truck and iphone. Talking to tacoma, they said that their system cant keep up with apply and their technology. This doesn't work for being handsfree on the road which is what toyota advertises and is the law.

I think more of these 2019 tacomas need looked into to be added to the recent recall. Just about everything described in the current recall is going on with my tacoma but my tacoma is not on the recall list. When i called the dealer to mention it they said no if yours is not on the list its fine. It sure doesn't drive fine though.

Radio keeps rebooting and disconnecting from bluetooth.

Apple iphone xr will not stay connected vis bluetooth. Unable to use hands free. I have to use my phone and vehicle for work. Toyota care rep says ' we'll let you know when we find a fix'

I had to recall before , but i did not see anythings and i was waiting so long

No recall information was sent to me regarding my vehicle. It states this type of recall was discovered in january. It is now march.

The gps in puerto rico doesn't work properly when you enter the coordinates tells you it's doesn't know where he is or he marks in the ocean the coordinates. I'll open a case in toyota on november and they told me i have to wait until january for the update they called me a few days ago for the update i went to the dealer i make the update and the problems still. This is my case number in the in toyota na1910160007

The head rests work their way up on their own, they don't lock down in place. I can push the button and completely remove the head rest. I am thinking that is a huge safety factor if i am in an accident and the head rest dislodges and becomes a projectile.

Transmission shutters and jerky when accelerating. Vibration when slowing down and during braking.

Noise when is accelerated, runs slowly when is trying to be accelerate, runs slow or can not develop velocity

While stationary under the water flow of a carwash water began pouring from under the dash board on to the passenger side floorboard. Toyota states it is the way the vehicle is designed, cannot be repaired and is not a " warrantable defect".

Iphone will not stay connected with my bluetooth radio making it able to have hands free calling. I am using a iphone 11pro max.

Power door lock makes a grinding wheel cog-like noise when attempting to lock after car start when shifting from park to drive.sometimes the door requires a hand lock. Other times when departing vehicle, lock by electronic key, it fails to lock and door can be opened by door handle.palmers toyota, mobile al used computer but no read out.unsatisfactory solution because problem comes and goes.

I've had my truck for about 1000 miles. Four times while i was driving with the adaptive cruise control engaged i've had a vehicle pass me in an adjacent lane, then slow down to below my speed. Every time, the adaptive cruise control abruptly applied the brakes to slow my vehicle down for no apparent reason thereby putting me in danger or being rear-ended.

While driving on cruise control when it gets close to another vehicle it slams the brakes on. Has also done this at going high speeds.

I had to recall before , but i did not see anythings and i was waiting so long

While driving on cruise control the engine shifts to a higher gear for no reason resulting in higher gas usage. I also noticed while having the radar on while on adaptive cruise control, the vehicle will automatically "slam" the brakes for no reason resulting me in a bad situation due to traffic. The system engages the brakes for no reason even though the vehicle that the system is detecting is not even close to me in the front. Please fix this cruise control issue
