Engine head gasket blew out.vehicle hada tune up a week ago, the car is idling roughly.
Recall part defective in 1993 toyota t 100 .. We had our head gasket replaced during the recall and 40,000 miles later our truck is completely disabled due to this same problem! it is a very costly repair for a part that i see by doing a search online is being reported as having many repeat occurrences with consumers. My vehicle is worth over $5000 at least if it ran that is. The repair by the dealership has been denied and contacting the manufacturer has been useless. Both basically say its my problem but i feel its not since people who purchased toyota trucks known to have problem are still stuck with this major defect on a part that should last the life of your vehicle.
The gear shift would not lock in park. Took to dealer and was fixed.
The gear shift lever snapped off while backing out of a parking space.the dealer is aware of the problem, but the manufacturer is not.*nlm
Consumer stated the clutch bracket broke, the firewall is weak and will eventually break, consumer stated the bracket broke in 1996 and was welded back together, however in dec 2001, while vehicle was in motion, the bracket broke at the point where the hinge bolt of the clutch pedal goes through the bracket, the metal of the bracket was broken and the clutch would not move straight, it would only move side to side and not pushing the master cylinder plunger, rendering the vehicle from going into gear.

Clutch pedal start switch not engaging,checked switch{fine},noticed clutch peddle mounting bracket snapped at fire wall.p.s.drivable,will have to see dealer.
1)vehicle became increasingly difficult to drive.2)clutch pedal bracket (support sub-assy/part # - 55106-34010) cracked along with firewall weakness made vehicle undrivable.3)replaced clutch pedal bracket.old part is available.

After 36,000 miles consumer complains that seat beltsdo not work properly,they get caught in the door and are hard to release, consumer can't get any relief from the manufacturer.
Driver's side seat belt locked up, and driver wasn't able to get out of it for 30 minutes. Dealer said safety belt needed to bereplaced.

The contact owns a 1993 toyota t100.the contact received a recall notice for nhtsa campaign id number 05v389000 (steering:linkages:rod:relay:connecting) in august of 2007.he immediately scheduled an appointment to have the vehicle repaired, but the dealer did not have the parts.in november, the dealer stated that the manufacturer had not given the parts to any local dealers and they did not know when they would be available.while driving approximately 45 mph, the steering column locked and the steering wheel could not be turned.as a result, the contact crashed into the side of the road.he has not filed a formal complaint with the manufacturer.the current and failure mileages were 104,000.

Hello i own a 1993 toyota t 100 4x4 truck . The truck only has 106000 miles on it and the entire frame, front suspension fuel lines are almost rusted out to a point where i cant even get it past inspection. The toyota dealer near me wont offer any advice in what to do. The rust is so bad , i have holes in the frame and the bumper fell off on the highway . I have owned older trucks from other companies and have never seen rust this bad.
Children/adults cannor close doors unless windows are rolled down. With power windows, car mustg be started first.

Pe00 020;consumer was traveling onhighway andnoticed that tire tread separated. Firestone has been notified.since replacing tires with firestone wilderness at p235/75r15, consumer found that tires were experiencing tread separation just 2 months after using, consumer is requesting reimbursement, dot vnhl.
Frame has rotted out to the point the vehicle can no longer be safety certified.it is the same type of frame rot that was part of the recall for both the tacoma and tundra.the same frame rot problem is in the t100.it has seen winter driving here in maine, but it has always been kept clean with regular trips to the carwash.
