Was rear ended by a truck that was going more than 40mph ( i was at a complete stop),and pushed into the vehicle in front of me, and air bags never deployed. I had recently been to toyota dealership to get a transmission flush, when the mechanic notified me that there was a recall on the airbags, and he informed me that he fixed that problem as well. I also have a work order that shows that the airbags were fixed the airbags should have been deployed in my accident.

I was driving brand new vehicle only 2 hours old . I was in extreme right lane when tractor trailer from middle lane attempted to change lanes ,into my lane severely impacting drivers side of vehicle no side air bags deployed and traffic in front of me came to a sudden unexpected slow down and i impacted vehicle in front of me and again no air bags deployed also when tractor trailer hit me i immediately hit brakes and both front tires exploded. No safety items in car deployed causing me to have multiple injuries

I receive one letter for recall red corolla toyota2015 airbags problems

Multiple issues with the dealership over a timeframe of a few years that continues to deteriorate.most recently, lack of dealership notification of safety recall, dealership inability to respond to safety recall when notified from a 3rd party site, dealership vehicular inspection incomplete and/or indications of unresolved issues, violation of personal property but dealership emptying center console contents into passenger seat unnecessarily (no business reason to do so), inspection results of most recent visit entailed video inspection of rust accumulation near notated brake area with no direction or instruction - beyond the driver noticing a driving problem of vibration - to which the instruction was a dealership process of rust build up removal by a machine (no internal communication within dealership of issue, notification to driver or those serving the driver to share issue and recommendations, prompting was the result of driver requesting clarification at dealership).the safety recall for this vehicle came through carfax (not from the dealership or dealership means - but as a result of attempting to sell the vehicle).the safety recall involved an issue with the seat belt & air bag deployment, and when driver contacted local dealership months ago- dealership stated that there was no remedy, and was not notified when one became available.the most recent oil change visit "claims" to have addressed the problem, at the request of driver.this incident request is three-fold: (1) address safety recall communication and process with dealership; (2) address vehicular maintenance, oil change, service, and inspection process and interaction with drivers; and (3) recommend to me (the person completing this complaint) a specific motor vehicle location (including company name, management, and mechanic) where the vehicle can be adequately assessed for safe driving.

It's a incomplete safety repair recall for an airbag deploy, this is my first car so it was advised for me to contact the maker of the car for the recall that is incomplete on the car

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2015 toyota corolla. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 20v024000 (air bags) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. Charles maund toyota(8400 research blvd, austin, tx 78758), confirmed parts were not available. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.vin tool confirms parts not available.

I got the crash from passenger side, so they replaced two doors. But, side airbag was not deployed. So, my wife was smashed to the window. Fortunately. She was not hurt much. How does side airbag deploy? how much is the accident can deploy? they, toyota, are not answer to me.

It's a safety recall on the airbags they've haven't services yet.

Takata inflators

Stopped at stop light to make left had turn.was waved on by driver in opposite lane as i started to make the turn i was hit by on coming car. Upon impact all air bags deployed, including side air bags which shouldn't of happened since the impact of the car was in the front.the side air bag hit the passenger which caused him to be injured.

My car is only three years old and already the air bag light came on, the display button on the steering wheel does not work, a strip in the defrost panel on the rear window doesnt work and the back seats that fold down can not. The air bag light was stationary when it came on.

My daughter was on a 2 lane stretch of i-15 highway southbound, approx 7 miles north of lasvegas nv.she was in the left lane slowly creeping by a 18 wheel rig w/trailer. She was doing 74 with cruise control and witnesses say the rig must have been doing 73mph.he violently turned into her lane causing her to do evasive maneuver left and brake hard skidding into the soft shoulder then spinning clockwise crossing to the right side hitting a small shoulder elevation change with both drivers side wheels, causing a double roll over and a cartwheel landing on the trunk, then coming to a rest on the roof.not a single air bag deployed!she suffered multiple blunt hits to the head from hitting against the door, she has a concussion with sprained shoulder and ankles. Granted she should be in much worse condition but we are grateful she had her blankets and her dogs beds that flew from the back seat to the front helping to keep her padded from even more trauma.i feel that a side curtain and steering bag should have deployed.is this a fluke that toyota engineers missed? because no particular corner was impacted? the rollover impacts were at the wheels, just above both bumpers and the entire roof area.

The contact owns a 2015 toyota corolla. While driving 2 mph, the vehicle accelerated independently when the brake pedal was depressed. As a result, the vehicle crashed into a wall at a parking lot. My son was in an accident and hit a tree.the car was totaled and the air bags never deployed as a result he hit the windshield with his head and needed stitches

This car was rear ended 17 months ago and none of the 8 airbags deployed. I got a herniated disc and a broken rib. The other driver insurance paid for the $12,000 repairs on my car and some of my medical expenses but now here i am with an injury for the rest of my life. This car should be included in the airbag lawsuit and i should be compensated for my injuries.

I have received several notices of an airbag recall in my vehicle. The notices instruct me to take the car to a dealership for repair immediately. If i'm unable to take to a dealership, i'm to have someone else perform the repair and then toyota will reimburse me. The dealership in costa rica, where my car is located, will not perform the repair. I have contacted toyota and am unable to find out exactly what needs to be done or how to get reimbursed once the repair is complete. The last communication i had with toyota, a representative told me he was waiting to hear back from japan and that he would only email me if he heard and they gave him relevant information. Surely someone at the toyota company must know the repair needed. In the meantime, i keep receiving notices from toyota about how unsafe my car is and to get it fixed immediately. I'm trying!!!

Was side swiped by a semi truck which forced my car to spin around on the freeway. Then hit by multiple other vehicles and blacked out. Damage to every side of my vehicle and airbags should have deployed but they failed to do so. I received a recall notice for my vehicle last year and brought it into the dealership and had the airbags fixed. However, they still failed to deploy.

My vehicle slammed into the back of a stopped vehicle after i pressed on the brakes.my entire front end was extremely damaged.my 14 year old average sized daughter was sitting in the passenger seat.air bags did not deploy.my car was extremely damaged (the entire front end---hood and all.it was smoking after the crash).

The vehicle was in motion when my fiance was driving he reached behind him and gave our son his bottle and steered off the city street going straight and hit a truck. The truck then hit two other cars all 3 which were parked the toyota is totalled out the air bags never came out of the vehicle which they should've considering the impact.

I was involved in a front end collision going 35mph and the airbags did not deploy. This is faster than the speed at which the manual states airbags should deploy for this vehicle. I was injured as a result of this accident.

I was involved in a severe roll over accident late at night. I rolled 4 times and slid 300 feet upside down. Luckily im alive thanks to my seat belt and the reinforced frame. However, i have a sever concussion because my front air bags never went off. The side ones did but never the front. This caused me to have very bad bruising on my head and a concussion.

Was in a roll-over crash. The vehicle was in motion. None of the side airbags went off on either side of the car and the car rolled three times during the accident.

I purchased a used 2015 toyota corolla with about 27,085miles, in june 2016.three months later, the steering wheel locked while driving down the street.i could not turn the wheel and the brakes would not work.by having no control of the car, it crashed into a parked vehicle.there was minor damage to the parked vehicle.the corolla had major damage because all the air bags were deployed.this occured three blocks from home, on a city street.no speeding was involved and no citations were issued by the police

The car is 3 years old. 56k miles. Air bag light has come on with a constant blinking seatbelt light.

I was in an accident about a year-and-a-half ago collision at about 25 to 35 miles an hour and airbags did not open. It was a solid front end collision and the seat belts worked but not the air bags nor anti-lock brakes. Clear and dry weather and roads but anti-lock brakes did not kick in. Driving on a city street going straight not turning.

Was in a roll-over accident. A deer jumped out in front of me so i locked up the breaks and the rear end of the car came out from behind me and i went into a ditch and rolled 3 times.

The contact owns a 2015 toyota corolla. While driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle's rpms malfunctioned. After releasing the brake pedal, the vehicle accelerated rapidly on its own. The contact depressed the brake pedal to slow down the vehicle. Big island toyota (811 kanoelehua ave, hilo, hawaii 96720, (808) 935-2920) was notified, but could not diagnose the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. I had a 2006 toyota corolla which would not pass inspection due to takata airbag recall with no parts available for estimated 1 to 2 years.so i had to trade it on a new 2015 toyota since no other manufacturer would take it and i could not sell it as is. Toyota would and will not tell me if 2015 corolla has takata airbags so it must have them.thus, this 2015 car should be on recall as well.i understand toyota is no longer using takata as a source for airbags.they have a system on my new car which shuts off the passenger airbag if no one is in that seat but that is not a satisfactory solution.takata airbags are life threatening and should be removed from car and replaced at toyota's expense.

I want to report that i found a loose bolt poking out of the drain hole on the rear passenger door of our 2015 toytota corolla.it was oriented in such a way that only the threaded end was poking out the hole and held inside the door by the bolt head. I took it to the dealer and as a courtesy they removed the door panel and determined it had come from one of the window parts (regulator or motor). They reinstalled and tightened the bolt. I read on the internet this was a serious problem with previous toyotas and created safety concerns. This may be a continued problem with toyotas.it was obviously a very small chance that the bolt actually landed in a fashion to partially stick out of the drain hole so i was able to spot this, so i can't help but wonder if other window bolts in the car have, or will, come loose and fall into the interior of the doors without detection.this may also be the case with many other corollas sold.bolts that become loose and fall off of window parts could lead to inadvertent and dangerous failure of windows on the road.i suggest you investigate this potential safety issue.

The touchscreen for the entertainment console does not work. You cannot select any buttons from the bottom half of the screen.

Steering wheel locked up and hole operating the vehicle and the key broke in the ignition.

Filing a complaint on behalf of our insured/policyholder. She was backing out of driveway in reverse and foot applied on brake, at this time the accelerator began surging and the vehicle while in reverse and brake being pressed went up in speed to possibly 35 miles per hour and across the street, hit curb and jumped curb, and the rear end ultimately struck a tree and came to a rest in the opposing home's yard. Research online such as the latimes.com shows that this year/make/model has had numerous complaints of accelerator surging occurring while the vehicle is in drive or reverse.

Tamara recallmy airbags did not deploy during impact. Constant lowvtire pressure and electrical issues

Lock actuator failure. The elmor toyota dealership in huntington beach californiatold me with out performing any diagnostic that my driver and passenger lock actuator is failing and due to the use of gel air fresheners.. Which i do not use.. Both from driver and passenger side doors do not lock and unlock with key fob or panel inside the car door. They do not lock either when the car is in motion. They only unlock with my mechanically use the key from the fob or i have to flip the door open from inside the car.

All the actuators have gone bad and do not work, and is a very expensive fix.the car only has 29000 miles on it.

Driver side electronic door lock system has failed!does not operate using the fob, the key has to be inserted to lock and unlock the door!!

The steering wheel locked up and failed to rotate while i was making a left turn in a busy intersection. Using my full weight i was able to turn the wheel and thankfully oncoming traffic avoided hitting me. Toyota towed my car to the dealership. I have owned the vehicle for only two months, and it was purchased with less than 10 miles. After a day of testing, i was told that an electrical item malfunctioned. The piece has to be replaced and is on backorder. It was an extremely scary incident and unbelievable considering the age of my vehicle.

The contact owns a 2015 toyota corolla. After the vehicle was turned off and the key was removed from the ignition switch, the vehicle independently began to roll and crashed into another vehicle. When i push the start button on my vehicle it takes a minute to start. It doesn't start up right away like it used to. Then the steering wheel becomes locked making it hard to steer. When i drive the vehicle the wheel then gets loose.

Trunk fire unknown cause, car was parked

Have replaced battery twice since 7/2019. Battery is drained if car is not used for 4 days. Toyota does not acknowledge problem. Says car must be used every two days to keep battery charged.

Computer is sending false codes.car won't accelerate from a stop then eventually starts moving very slowly.unhooking the battery then hooking it back up does a hard reset on the computer which makes the car work properly for a day or so then it does it again.was told by mechanic the computer doesn't know what gear the car is in.

The new toyota corolla's have several issues with their headlight design. First, the daytime running lamps on vehicles with the xenon or led lights appears to be the same lights that run at night when you turn on the switch. This means that people in oncoming lanes constantly flash their lights thinking the bright lights are on during the day because it is extremely bright. I've also noticed that a lot of other people with this same car don't realize they have to manually turn on their lights since the brightness of the daytime running lamps is the same as when the switch is turned on. People must think they have automatic headlights and subsequently fail to turn their light switch on which means they have no rear lights. I can see this causing so many accidents, especially in the rain or at night. It is extremely dangerous. People have also complained to me that it looks like the bright lights are on when they're not and the headlights are "blindingly bright", but how the lights are aimed or designed, they don't cast much light on the road ahead. It seems like the light is just diffused in all different directions instead of in a beam like normal headlights. There is a huge issue with these new corolla models' lighting systems and toyota needs to retrofit them immediately to prevent accidents. In addition, this car basically has no power which makes it next to impossible to pull out in traffic as the awful cvt transmission takes forever to respond. Once the engine has finally woken up from its sleep, it offers terrible response and is extremely slow picking up speed. This is an issue with all corolla's because of how heavy the car is for how little power toyota gives it. I also hate the huge blind spots created by the awkwardly shaped rear end. I'm glad this is just a rental car, but i feel so bad for owners of this type of car.

There is a problem with the engine oil dipstick and/or dipstick tube on the 2015 toyota corollawhich uses 0w-20 oil.it is impossible to obtain an accurate reading on the engine oil level and have never encountered this on any other vehicle.the oil tends to form a long "tail" up the dipstick making it impossible to discern where the actual level is.attempting to obtain a reading with multiple attempts yields different possible oil levels and the levels are different on each side of the dipstick.i would note that this problem has been reported on numerous forums on the internet including forums dedicated to toyota enthusiasts as well as general car forums and engine oil forums.the problem has been reported not only for the corolla but also for other toyota models.some owners have resorted to modifying the dipstick which should not be necessary.this is a serious issue.not being able to obtain an accurate reading of engine oil level puts the engine at risk of damage and even serious and sudden failure if the oil is over or under filled.engine damage and personal injury or death can obviously occur if engine failure occurs while in operation on roads.toyota should take immediate action on this issue, investigate it, and provide a fix available at dealerships and announce that fix to owners.it is unclear whether it is a problem with the actual dipstick design, the tube that the dipstick goes into, or other, but a fix is definitely in order.

Engine issue for 2015 corolla/toyota will not refund/fuelpump replaced with only 30,000 miles

I filed a similar complaint in january 2017 under complaint 10947803 and now realize the dipstick/dipstick tube defect on these cars can also be categorized under "other".-------there is a problem with the engine oil dipstick and/or dipstick tube on the 2015 toyota corolla which uses 0w-20 oil. It is impossible to obtain an accurate reading on the engine oil level and i have never encountered this on any other vehicle. The oil tends to form a long "tail" up the dipstick making it impossible to discern where the actual level is. The contact depressed the brake pedal to slow down the vehicle. Big island toyota (811 kanoelehua ave, hilo, hawaii 96720, (808) 935-2920) was notified, but could not diagnose the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 11,000.

Stopped at a red light with foot on the brakes. Out of nowhere the car accelerated forward extremely fast. Forced to hit an car in front of me within a car or two, distance wise. After the incident the rpm gauge fluctuates from low to high. In addition, once gas pedal is pressed car slows down and eco activates, then after about 5 seconds car accelerator extremely fast.

Bought may 2015, warm day, firm brakes. Wet, cold fall months brakes became soft w/ excessive travel & erratic during 40mph & under. Took to dealer sept 2015 at 1,562 miles. Tech performed road test. Couldn't duplicate conditions. Checked for codes. Stated 'found normal braking conditions'. I started driving again & noticed during warm days around 70 deg brakes changed hardness with a/c on. More firm. During colder days brakes would go within 2 inches of floor before working. Took to dealer on 'walk-in' basis when car was acting up. Drove w/ tech 1 hr tried to get him to notice difference in brakes. Tech stated brakes were acting 'normal' & that i just wasn't familiar w/ how the systems operated. I insisted it wasn't normal. I own a 2015 toyota corolla s premium. It has the radio system with blue tooth and gps. The problem is that while i am listening to the radio and the gps comes on giving directions, the radio does not fade so the radio and the gps are talking over each other and i can't understand the gps.because of the confusion of both voices i have made the wrong turn whichhas almost led to accidents.1-800 toyota claims there is not a problem but, even my dealership service department agrees there is.there have been many complaints on this but, nothing is really being done.

The main front led low-beam is a problem on all trims of this current generation. It is too bright and blinds oncoming drivers, there is also a hard cutoff line in which you can't see anything above it. They also poorly light the road. The beam goes everywhere but the road. It seems they are incorrectly aimed. There is also a tail-light problem that affects the higher-end trims of this generation. There is a drl option, which is the first one, that turns on the front low-beam, you can see that your front headlights are on, but you don't realize your tail-lights aren't on and that you have to turn the stock again to turn them on. There is no indicator on the dash that signifies any sort of exterior lighting is on besides the high-beam. I've seen multiple corolla drivers on the road with only drls on at night. The lower end trims don't suffer this problem because you can't see the dash at night without turning on the taillights, the higher end trims have an always lit dash. This creates a hazard in which the corolla in front of you is unlit in the rear and allows a rear-end collision because you can't see them.

Trunk fire unknown cause, car was parked

The headlights in the toyota corolla are blindingly bright. The toyota corolla lights are upon the worse offenders of headlights that are so bright they are causing temporary blindness. I have noticed for months this model has headlights that are too bright, but i am writing today because of a recent experience where i temporarily lost the ability to see at night due to a corolla. Toyota now is advertising their bright headlights to sell vehicles. The pursuit of bright headlights in corolla should to be put into check by federal regulators before they cause accidents and lead to injuries or deaths.

Please look into all 2015+ toyota corollas with the high intensity discharge lights seem to be aimed higher than normal or have improper light taming lenses. When approaching they blind oncoming drivers.

The low-beam light design on the lens cover cuts off the top view of light at night time.you see light from the ground up but only halfway up.from there you only see darkness.it looks like a half-lit moon beam from the ground up.you only see the bottom half of the trees it is like a straight line drawn between the middle of your view in front of the car.white on thebottom half and black on the top half.i am scared to death to drive my car around curves and lulls in the roads.your night vision is extremely limited.it is very straining to have to look ahead and at the same time you have to keep two different colors separated.

1. This form assumes i own the vehicle. A better form should be available where i can report issues with other vehicles. So most of incident data is not relevant in this complaint.2 actual complaint is regarding 2015 and newer toyota corollas. Their low beam head lights are blinding and a danger. A recall must be issued to fix the low beams

Possible problems in lighting.car by design has led headlights which are also the daytime running lights.the daytime running lights are so bright that the operator could drive in the dark failing to notice that the real headlight are not on.the main problem is when just the daytime running lights are on,there is no tailights, thus a person could drive without taillights and be hit from behind on a dark road.

Low beam headlight went out at 48,000 miles.the low beam headlight is sealed which does not allow for bulb replacement.you have to replace the entire headlight assembly.every other bulb in the assembly can be replaced.will we begin seeing vehicles with no headlights due to the prohibitive cost and no option for bulb replacement.

2014+ toyota corolla headlights are too bright and blind on-coming drivers

When driving the toyota corolla s 2015 at night and especially when going downhill, half of the windshield is dark horizontally from the middle up.some drivers and passengers may experience more depending on the height of the person driving or riding in the vehicle.the windshield appears to go completely dark in some cases and is very scary!this is my dads car and he is 67 years old and is scared to drive at night due to this problem.i am 36 years old and at the time i thought it was just him complaining.however, i drove the car tonight 9/9/2015 and it was scary to go downhill, and this problem needs to be addressed very soon before someone gets badly hurt or killed.if you turn the high beams on you do not have this problem.this does not help when you have to turn back off the high beams due to another car coming towards you of course.another person described it very well on this site https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ having the same problem.the following information was sent in by cullman, al, usa and he or she described it best below: "the low-beam light design on the lens cover cuts off the top view of light at night time. You see light from the ground up but only halfway up. From there you only see darkness. It looks like a half-lit moon beam from the ground up. You only see the bottom half of the trees it is like a straight line drawn between the middle of your view in front of the car. White on the bottom half and black on the top half. I am scared to death to drive my car around curves and lulls in the roads. Your night vision is extremely limited. It is very straining to have to look ahead and at the same time you have to keep two different colors separated."

Everyday i see at least 5 people in 2014-2016 corolla models driving down the road with their drls on but no other lights. This occurs because the vehicles equipped with led headlights use their regular beam as the drl and people assume they have automatic headlights. However this is extremely dangerous as there areno taillights on. I have seen so many people driving in the pitch black with no taillights. Please issue mandatory recall to refit vehicles with warning that headlights aren't automatic in off position even with drl on or add light sensor that can detect darkness and automatically activates taillights. This should also apply to rainy conditions as hardly any toyota drivers know that most states require headlights on in rain.

My car is not covered by the toyota fuel pump recall but i recently had to have toyota replace my inoperative fuel pump.the car was stationary, in my garage would not start or run.

On two occasions, a stationary vehicle was found to be leaking gasoline from a fuel line. Dates were approximately july, 2019 and may, 2020. The fuel line had apparent rodent (possible squirrel) bite marks. The car was driveable despite the leaking fuel line, but if the driver did not happen to notice the fuel spill under the car (photo attached), there could easily have been a fire other other issue during normal operations of the car. Repairs cost over $350 for each instance.

Since purchased, i have experienced multiple issues with the check engine light comming on only to be told that the "gas cap wasnt on all the way". Yestersay, my brake, abs and trac lights came on while driving and the only time they cleared was after a sudden grid noise in transmission. Following this the check engine light came on and toyota indicated the charcoal canister for the evap system has failed. My vehicle was purchased new and from a dealership. I saw that a number of models were recalled in 2016 for a charcoal canister fail and i believe this vehicle either wasnt services properly or this model shouldve beeb included in the recall.

While driving car appears not to be getting enough gas to keep going. Almost like it is changing gear similiar to a standard shifting gear. My daugther is a single parent with a 14 month old child and stationed overseas in vicencia italy. The car has 42,246 miles. Overseas dealer doesn't honor us warranty

My daughter was attempting to park in her college parking lot at fgcu. She said, thinks the brake didn't work when she applied it. Car hit concrete wall to stop. Aaa tow truck driver came andsaid brakes went to floor and he had to use e-brake to put on truck. He states when he got back to garage brakes worked. I told toyota. They checked brakes out and said everything was working fine.i asked them to look at black box. They sent me results. I had my insurance co. Look at them along with toyota service adviser. Both said data shows gas applied before brake. I looked under car complaints. Other people had same problem. Some had automatic acceleration. I did not tell them to check that out because of statement from tow truck guy. She said it happened so fast she doesn't remember. The tin whiskering was a problem for toyota in the past. I believe that they have not fixed the problem. Can the data show if gas applied by driver or automatically came on? i have spoken to attorneys and no one seems to want to take this case. My daughter has back pain and other issues. As a parenti'm not sure what to do. Car has been repaired. It is a lease. ( ninemonths left to pay.) i would like to get her out of this car and get a new one. Any suggestions? thank you mike.

Possible sticking accelerator pedal . When slowly pulling into parking spot, the car accelerated at mass speed into barrier

The contact owns a 2015 toyota corolla. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle hesitated to accelerate with the accelerator pedal depressed. The contact stated that the vehicle loss motive power with the fuel, check engine, traction control, and oil level warning lights illuminated. The dealer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the vin was not included in a recall. The approximate failure mileage was 105,000.

The 'automatic transmission' seems to have an issue on this particular vehicle! while driving the car, i notice that the rpm gauge reaches approximately 5,000 to 5,250 rpms before the 'automatic transmission' shifts into the next forward gear! this situation happens while driving city streets and definitely while driving highways and interstates highways!!! to best describe this problem, it is basically like when i first learned how to drive a 'manual transmission vehicle' and i did not fully understand when it was time to shift into the next gear. Because the rpm gauge is reading so high before the 'automatic transmission' automatically shifts into the next gear ratio, it concerns me quite a bit!!! i had this similar issue when i owned a 1976 pontiac trans-am. After the transmission on my current 2015 toyota corolla started acting like my old pontiac trans-am, i started becoming very concerned with this transmission issue! because on my old 1976 pontiac trans-am when the rpm gauge was running very high before the automatic transmission would shift to the next gear ratio, one day the transmission finally burned out all the forward 'automatic transmission' gears and all i had left to go up a hill was my 'reverse gear'!!! when i took the 1976 pontiac trans-am into a pontiac dealership, i was informed that all the forward gear clutch plates were burned out!!! so, if there are any additional complaints about this vehicles 'automatic transmission' then toyota should look in to this issue and make the appropriate 'recall(s)'! i purchased this 2015 toyota corolla two years ago. This problem started approximately six-months ago, or around march of 2019!

Passenger side wheel wobbles when accelerating. Had toyota checkfor problems they said it was a problem with the rotors. Changed brakes and rotors and problem still exist. Was told it was tires and balance had them checked and it still wobbles.

Special service campaign jsd performed on nov 03, 2019. The software component was updated, however the solenoid valve inspection and the valve body assembly replacement was determined as "not required". Since then the cvt seems to have started to fail. Initial issues started at 8k miles and has been serviced on time, multiple times for same issue with no resolve. Toyota has issued a recall in march 2018 for issue and suspended it due to the recall making the issues worse. No solution or other service offered to repair problem.

The transmission on the vehicle has a tital of 19,752miles as of 5/3/2021.the vehicle's transmission has failed due to a "bad cylenoid" in the transmission.i am a 90 year old woman who went to my physicians office after my appointment i git in the car and attempted to place the car in reverse when it failed to move. I am the original owner of this vehicle and was shocked that there was a problem especially dibce i had just taken it to the dealer for regular maintenance . During that maintenance there were no noted problem bought to my sttentio.hence i fell that this is a severe manufactureres defecr.i'm concerned that there is a serious defect and related isdues due to the dedign or manufacturing of the cvt transmission which i understand is a big issue that has been encountered in toyota's 2014 to 2019 line of vehicles.while it seems that no recall were formally issued, i believe that there is a huge problem based on the failure of the cvt tramsmission...given that the normal transmission mileage for this model is ~ 250k miles so i strongly feel this situation is suspect.i also understand that vehicles with the cvt transmission are subject to a special service campaign.as such, i would like to report my vehicle for your consideration under this status as i desire to secure a favorable remedy for this manufacturer's defect.i would like assistance is exploring my options to get my vejicle back on the road without my having to come out of pocket with tbousands of dollars to correct the manufacturer's known defect.

Vehicle speeds up and lunges forward on its own

Vehicle is an le eco model with continuously variable transmission (cvt).engine rpm will suddenly flare...often close to redline with throttle in steady cruise position, regardless of engine operating and ambient temperature.vehicle will not accelerate (sluggish).it is subject to a dealer campaign, but dealer claims an internal failure and is being highly ambiguous about the actual failure.they simply want to install a $5,000+ replacement transmission.the vehicle is not safe to drive and seems to have a mind of its own.it is worse now since the dealer looked at it.toyota and the dealer will not help the customer (me) in any way and claim that there are no problems known with this transmission, an assertion that is not supported by the scope of internet postings that can readily be located.

I was diving down an interstate and after exiting to a stop, the car would barely go after turning left.after a few more miles, the car juat stopped.the engine would still run but no acceleration.after having the car towed and inspected, was told i needed a new transmission.

I got a recall about my transmission last year (2019) and they checked it within minutes and said it seemed fine but if i had anymore issues to bring it back. Well the car was making sounds and i went to bryan easler toyota in hendersonville, n.c. And spoke to the service department regarding my concerns since there had been a recall and i was told it wasn't,'t probably anything bad. Well i left went up the road and ten minutes later the transmission failed. Toyota towed it in and took a couple of days to call me and tell me that it had nothing to do with the transmission recall. That is bull what else makes a transmission just quit out of the blue . There are so many toyota corolla transmissions failing due to bad cvt transmissions and people who's warranty has expired are trying to be made to pay for toyota crappy engine. I feel like it is a huge safety issue and toyota should honor the transmission recall and replace the transmission at no cost to the customer. They want to charge me $6800 on top of the $7200 i owe not for a pile of junk.

The contact owns a 2015 toyota corolla. While driving 55 mph, the vehicle shook violently. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to north hills toyota (7401 mcknight rd, pittsburgh, pa 15237, (412) 318-3000) where it was diagnosed that the cv half shaft assembly failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact to schedule an appointment for an investigation. The failure mileage was approximately 63,762.

Keyes toyota of van nuys contacted me regarding a recall on transmission software update. The vehicle needs to be serviced. Was told it will cause an "abnormal wear" was not specific as to what exactly.have not received a recall letter/notice.

I received a recall notice in the mail from toyota - reference id jsd. The notice stated there was an issue with programming within the ecu that could potentially lead to issues with the car's transmission that would cause the transmission to not work properly and would also cause the vehicle to lose speed. Shortly after receiving the notice i experienced issues with my car's transmission while driving around speeds of 35-40 mph. Around these speeds, transmission would randomly downshift to a low gear and would not provide any power to engine. Nothing could be done to correct the issue while driving - any attempt to accelerate would just rev the engine to high rpm - and i would have to pull off to the side of the road and completely stop the car before the car would correctly drive. This problem occurred multiple times that morning. These first experiences occurred while driving on city streets. I called toyota dealership to bring car in for service under the recall notice the same morning. While driving to the dealership on the highway i experienced the same issues. Toyota called me later that day asking if i had experienced any issues, and i told them about the experiences i had that morning while driving to work and while driving to the dealership. They told me the car was unsafe to drive due to the transmission issues. Later in the month they informed me that the issues were unrelated to the recall and that the transmission failed on its own so nothing was covered. No warning lights were illuminated on the dash, and there were no prior warning signs of any issues to alert me that something may be wrong with the transmission.

The contact owns a 2015 toyota corolla. While driving down an incline, there was an abnormal increase of engine rpms and the vehicle failed to accelerate without warning. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the vehicle was working up to specifications. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was not included. The failure mileage was 35. Updated 03/15/16*lj

Cvt transmission, car will not going over 35 miles per hour. Everyday the car has this problem.

While parking in a carport, i will use the brake to slowly enter and park. As i was straightening out the car, the car excellerated and hit a pole, bouncing back and forth.it caused major damage. I am wondering if there was something wrong with the car or my wearing flip-flops may have caused this accident. (note: this was a loaner car from toyota while i waited 5 months to get my 2009 corolla xle airbag replacement. The replacement part showed up the very next day after my accident)

The contact owns a 2015 toyota corolla. After the vehicle was turned off and the key was removed from the ignition switch, the vehicle independently began to roll and crashed into another vehicle. A police report was not filed and there were no injuries. The contact stated that the vehicle began to surge for approximately a month before the failure occurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and sent a field supervisor to diagnose the vehicle. The failure was unable to be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 22,000.

Transmission is out and have 120,000 miles

The contact owns a 2015 toyota corolla. The contact stated that the dealer (keyes toyota, 5855 van nuys blvd, van nuys, ca 91401, (818) 305-6926) called the contact to indicate that the manufacturer issued an unknown transmission recall on march 28, 2018. The contact was informed that the vehicle needed to be serviced per the manufacturer recall campaign. The dealer and the manufacturer stated that the vehicle was included in the recall; however, a recall notice had not been issued and the part was not available. The contact had not experienced a failure.

An intermittent problem with the transmission: the vehicle will downshift extremely hard when accelerating. This problem often happens when going uphill and can be very startling. The downshift is jolting and is by no means a normal downshift. The vehicle has been brought on multiple occasions to the dealer which the car was purchsed.the dealer has been unable to duplicate the problem when test driving. The intermittent problem has been going on for over a year.

When driving, my 2015 corolla with a cvt transmission with ~74,000 miles, the car will often not accelerate, sometimes at high speeds on the freeway or low speeds in residential areas.for example, on thursday, march 25, i was driving home from work when i had to safely pull over because my car would not accelerate. Since i was not on a busy street, i was able to drive home but at a highly reduced speed.whenever this occurs it happens when i press the gas pedal. The car either lurches repeatedly or the engine revs to a high rpm with out accelerating.basic maintenance such as changing the oil and coolant as required was done, however i am not sure what may have caused the issue. When i took it to the dealer on the 27th, i was also not aware that there was a recall that would help minimize wear on my cvt and since my vehicle is out of warranty, i am stuck with the only option of completely replacing the cvt transmission. I suspect that other drivers of the same vehicle may have not brought their car in for the recall and may be in the same position as me. Plus, i don't believe that a software update would have fixed anything. My car would stutter at a stop a year or two after i got the car.

Rear seatbelt pulled by 8 year old pulled out from under the seat, stitching failed.when testing other 2 seatbelts, 1 additional also failed.

My toyota was tee boned by a driver who ran stop sign.my wife and i were injured when our airbags and seatbelts failed to deploy properly.no airbags deployed even though we were traveling at 40mph and were hit hard on the passenger side of the car.the other driverran a stop sign and hit us broadside.

The seatbelts lock up as soon as you try to buckle them. Never releasing. Very dangerous! especially for children. This happens every day whether one-4- or 5 occupy the seats. The flooring especially on the drivers side is ruined. It is becoming a huge hole. Very cheaply made carpeting. Seats are horribly uncomfortable. Never a relief of pain in any. I and my family all are disabled. With back and hip damage. Steering does as it chooses rather than going in the direction you drive it. It sways constantly. Finally. There is no way to make it comfortable with the ac or heater on without a contestant battle. It is claustrophobic in any seat. When the car was sold to me. I was deceived and lied to. I found a chunk behind the hub cap about two weeks ago missing out of the wheel well. I have had to refill the tires numerous times. This car can be parked, driving, sitting at a light, doesn't matter. It is offensive and i was taken advantage of. Especially by only being given $750 for my pontiac grand prix that still had a wonderful motor and transmission. I was told because it had overheated so bad i had to buy a new car. I simply no longer trust enterprise, and i am terrified behind the wheel with these seat belts. It is 5 of a family of 5 having these issues not just me. Please advise. This has been happening since we bought this car, not to mention the constant harassment involved and lack of professionalism with enterprise to handle this sale properly.

The heating element on the heated seats has cause the seat to tear, as a result i amunable to use the heated seat. I have spoken to the dealership and toyota but have refused to replace the seat. I believe this could be an issue with all toyota corolla with the s premium package.

On december 24th 2014 i was driving my vehicle (2014 toyota corolla s) in (d) and was trying to slow down, because the driver in front of me brake. When i depressed my brake pedal the vehicle accelerated. I shifted into neutral and continued to brake and it eventually slowed me down. I shifted back into (d) and continued on my way, although shaken up. The road conditions were good, there was no rain or ice on the road that day. I checked my floor mats to see if they were sticking to the acceleration pedal when i got into the driveway, but i did not notice any such defect with the floor mats sticking to the pedal. A few weeks later driving to work on 01/20/2015 around the same speed on the same road conditions the vehicle gave me unwanted acceleration again while attempting to brake. I performed the same way i had previously, i entered into neutral and braked, except this time i came within inches of the vehicle forward of me. The next day on 01/21/2015 while driving to work the vehicle again performed the exact same malfunction as the previous day. On all days the road conditions were fine and should have not affected the vehicles performance. I decided to bring the vehicle to the dealership where i had leased the vehicle. I set up an appointment and had left it there 01/24/2015-01/26/2015. I received the vehicle back on 01/26/2015 and the master mechanic found no defects. I filed a complaint with the dealership and was told the service manager would contact me. After he had not for a few days, i decided to call him. I had gotten his voicemail and left a message. To date i have still not received a call back from the service manager. I have decided to take precautions and begin a vehicle safety complaint. I would like this matter resolved before myself or anyone else becomes injured or worse.

Vehicle accelerates independently when the brake pedal is depressed.it has happened several times now.so far no accidents but i am concerned about this issue.also the brake system is not functioning properly, hear creeking noise while depressing the brakes pedal (car in motion) and noise is getting worse.

Vehicle was driving at approximately 30 miles an hour came to a red light, depressed brakes had virtually no response from brake pedal. Brakes are fairly new a mechanically sound but did not respond to a hard emergency stop attempt and resulted in an accident with minor bumps and bruises type injuries. The accident occurred at a controlled intersection as the light was turning red but resulted in the vehicle going entirely through the intersection and striking a crossing vehicle. Crossing vehicle was virtually undamaged as it was a heavy duty flatbed tow truck but the corolla involved is potentially totaled or near total front end damage

I purchased a 2015 toyota corolla from charles maund toyota on june 15, 2015 and around a month after i bought it, i have been having problems with the breaks ever since. My service technician and other service men said a lot of people had been bringing these cars (2015 toyota corolla) back for the same noise and other brake issues as i described.there is a cracking noise when i put my foot on the brakes sometimes.dealer service men said this is something that i will always hear because of the materials toyota makes their brakes and pads out of, once it reaches a certain temperature, i will hear the noise.sometimes brake pedal goes down to the floor by its self after i have stopped.service men said they felt the brake pedal go down and said they fixed it. But on october 30, 2015 it started going down by its self again.both front wheels now making loud popping or knocking noise when i put my foot on the brake sometimes and wheels do not stop, they keep turning. Service men said they could not do anything because it never happened when they drove the car.october 21, i had another scary event in the parking lot at my job as i was leaving work for the day in my 2015 toyota corolla.as i went around the first curve in the garage, the popping or knocking noise from the right wheel started again when i put my foot on the brake, as i went around the 2nd curve and braked, the popping noise came from both wheels and they did not stop rolling when i put my foot all the way down on the brake.the wheels kept turning, it felt like when you think you have tighten a bolt all the way, but then it slips a little further. I have the most problems when going down a slope.

I bought a brand new 2015 corolla s on march 2015, a month later i started to hear creeking noise while depressing the brakes pedal, went to the dealer they tested the car and said "yes we heard the sound but your brake is totally perfect and is safe to drive". I continued to drive the car but the same sound like crackling still there when i brake. I went again to them, they kept the car for two or three days and they said "we changed the front brake shims". And most importantly they said, your car now is totally safe.after that i started to feel that the brakes do not stop the car as fast as it was before nor as you would expect from a new car plus a new creeking sound that i couldn't detect from front or rear wheels, at that time it was my first scheduled maintenance visit so i told them about it, then they said "we tested the car and the brakes work well", i said "i know it works but not perfectly & not as fast as before", they said "don't worry it's safe".a year later "january 2016", i had a small freeway accident where i hit the car in front of me due to a quick stop and i hit my brakes as fast as possible but still hit the car and the insurance said i'm at fault.a year and half later "july 2017" my wife had a big bigfreeway accident also due to a quick stop from the car in front, we had a massive damage to our car and of course the insurance said we are at fault.two month later "september 2017" same thing happened a quick stop on freeway and at this time i felt like there is something weird going on, i had enough time and distance between me and the car in front but still i crashed him.every time i was saying i cannot prove that there is a defect within the car itself, but i still have the same feeling of the slow responding brakes and the feel that the car runs under my feet uncontrollably when i hit my brakes even as fast and powerful as possible.

Bought may 2015, warm day, firm brakes. Wet, cold fall months brakes became soft w/ excessive travel & erratic during 40mph & under. Took to dealer sept 2015 at 1,562 miles. Tech performed road test. Couldn'tduplicate contions. Checked for codes. Stated 'found normal braking conitions'.i started driving again & noticed during warm days around 70 deg brakes changed hardness with a/c on. More firm. During colder days brakes would go within 2 inches of floor before working. Took to dealer on 'walk in' basis when car was acting up. Drove w/ tech 1 hr tried to get him to notice difference in brakes. Tech stated brakes were acting 'normal' & that i just wasn't familiar w/ how the systems operated. I instisted it wasn't normal. Tech contacted manufacturer. They said replace master cylinder and bleed system. Returned car & stated 'driving correctly now'. I started driving again & noticed whisteling sound coming from engine compt when driving under 30mph between bdlgs w/ window down. Brakes go all the way to the floor at times & they grab & stop the car abruptly. Especially in stop-&-go traffic. Took to dealer march 2016 at 4,800 miles. I suggested checking entire vacuum system for leaks. Tech only checked line to brake booster. Tech made 'little' adjustment to e-brake & rear brakes. Tech stated brakes 'feels similar to new corolla' & no whistling sound.i can still hear whistling sound & brakes still have same issues! i think it's a design flaw related to the entire vacuum system & should be recalled! told dealer. Test drove 2016 honda civic w/ similar braking systems it performed like a new car should! other issues w/this corolla are the suspension is too 'loose' when traveling above 55mph & changing lanes, the engine is way to loud when accel & often knocks during accel & idling (changed gas stations & checked fuel type, still same problem), & headlights r 2 bright...

The contact owns a 2015 toyota corolla. When the vehicle was started, it suddenly accelerated on its own. After switching the transmission from park into reverse, the vehicle suddenly accelerated backwards and crashed into a cement block. The driver then shifted into drive and the vehicle accelerated forward, nearly crashing into a second vehicle. During the incident, the brake pedal was being depressed, but the vehicle would not stop. The manufacturer and local dealer (dunning toyota, 3745 jackson rd, ann arbor, michigan) were notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 39,000.

Brakes overheat after driving for several hours and after they heat car needs more distance to be able to stop and was almost in an accident(brake pads get deformed from heat)

Immediate attention requiredre:2015 toyota corolla ? dangerous steering failure dear nhtsa,on december 8, 2014, i purchased a new 2015 toyota corolla.on february 9, 2015, the steering wheel failed to operate while i was making a left turn, leaving me stranded in the middle of a busy intersection with oncoming traffic.turning the wheel caused no input to the wheels.the service technician told me that ?the computer became overwhelmed.? thankfully there was not a wreck.after stopping, there were no warnings lights or messages.i clicked every display feature in an attempt to decipher what had gone so wrong with my new car. I turned off the vehicle, waited a moment, and it turned it back on at which time the steering wheel warning sign appeared.i was ill and had a doctor?s appointment, so i reached out to toyotacare as soon as my appointment concluded. The service department at autonation has always provided topnotch service, and they have continued to do so through this dangerous, disappointing and puzzling failure. Their service technician advised me that the part is backordered and let me know it will be at least one week before the part arrives and is installed.today, they told me that toyota engineer came to inspect the car and that toyota is taking the apparently defective part for further inspection. If you wish to inspect the car, please take immediate action.the car is at:autonation toyota south 4800 s interstate 35 frontage rd austin tx 78745

Electric power steering is extremely over boosted. I have to struggle to maintain a straight line at speeds excess of 50 mph as any input results in extreme angle. Difficult to driver at highway speeds, even with cruise control. Please fix this!

Power steering hard when i turn engine on after about ten second is normal

Car drifts toward the left thus causes constant correction especially at highway speeds of 30 and above. Controlling this is very tiring and more importantly can cause an accident with the car in the other lane. With this distraction it leaves one not giving other safety observations as much time to monitor.. Toyota has been aware of this in older model years but has failed to address it since not enough owners cars or affected by this drifting or simply thru apathy. As i understand it, it is caused by a defective ecu unit that is part of the steering unit. My prediction is that nothing will come out of this complaints as with other owners have reported on google.

Jerking front prior perhaps twice on the day in question i reversed to go in a friend house and the car went a full half circle and end in the neighbor hose next door.my car ended in to her fence where a swing was there. Due the defective her property needs to be fix as soon as possible had the car towed to dick dyer killian road today. I have witnesses to verify how the car did a half moon.

Steering wheel locked up and hole operating the vehicle and the key broke in the ignition.

The contact owns a 2015 toyota corolla. The contact stated that the steering column seized without warning. As a result, the contact crashed into the median. The contact mentioned that after the failure occurred, the tire pressure warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. A police report was filed. There was one injury that did not require medical attention. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 3,200. The vin was not available.

The contact owned a 2015 toyota corolla. The contact stated that the steering column siezed, which caused the vehicle to veer to the left while being operated at 60 mph. As a result, the vehicle crashed into a cement barrier. The air bags deployed. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a salvage yard and deemed destroyed. The dealer was not contacted. The contact suffered minor bruising from the collision, which did not require medical attention. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 33,000.

When i push the start button on my vehicle it takes a minute to start. It doesn't start up right away like it used to. Then the steering wheel becomes locked making it hard to steer. When i drive the vehicle the wheel then gets loose.

My teenage licensed daughter was driving down resler, on a four lane street, she was on the second lane to the right and she made a slight right turn following the lane, while approaching the intersection with cloudview and resler the steering wheel got stuck. She didn't have control over the front wheels. The steering wheel was if it had a lock on it and she started to verge to her right and she pressed on the breaks, but she still merged to the right enough to hit the car next to her causing an accident. Nobody was hurt, but the car was badly damaged.

The contact owns a 2015 toyota corolla. The contact stated that the chrome finish on the dashboard created a glare in the rear view mirror that distracted the contact from driving. The contact stated that the glare was present regardless of the presence of sunlight unless the windows were down. The vehicle was taken to dealer where it was diagnosed that the vehicle was manufactured that way and could not be changed. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The vin was unknown. The failure mileage was 4,100. Updated 03/09/16*ljupdated 03/16/16

Was in a roll-over accident. A deer jumped out in front of me so i locked up the breaks and the rear end of the car came out from behind me and i went into a ditch and rolled 3 times.

Trunk fire unknown cause, car was parked

The contact owns a 2015 toyota corolla. While driving various speeds, a rattling noise was heard all around the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to jay wolfe toyota of west county (14700 manchester rd, ballwin, mo 63011, (844) 334-0213) where it was diagnosed that there was a failure with the frame, door, and dashboard that needed to be repaired. The vehicle was repaired; however, the contact was unaware of the specifics of the repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but did not offer any further assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 45,700.

I rented this car (toyota corolla 2015) and was unfamiliar with all the details. My previous experience with many cars over the years never brought me an awareness that the trunk lid could potentially damage my head, neck, or back in a severe and possibly long lasting way. I naturally opened the trunk lid, bent in to pull out my bag, and wham! the lid slams down on me.one of the most damaging parts is the latch which protrudes past the trunk's edge and forms a triangle shape. This is what concentrated the blow directly into my spine. I have seen complaints of this same problem, "trunk lid wont stay in upright position" dating back to 2009. Why has this not been fixed years ago before it was able to injure me? and how many unsuspectingpeople will continue to be injured in the future? this is why i am taking the time to express my anger, frustration, and disgust. Please i am calling this out, do something! toyota deserves a class action lawsuit!

Car started having paint problems at 3 years old. Paint missing on certain protected areas of car, with primer only (trunk and hood area.) paint on drivers side door formed bubbles on the edge. Paint scratching easily on the hood of the car.first car i have owned that was having paint issues after only 3 years.normal driving conditions no different than other cars i've owned. Always well maintained and regularly washed.

The interior has a silver decorative accessories near the dash that reflect the sunlight.the reflection can produce problems in the vision abilities, provoking you need close your eyes and keep out the look in the road.

I was at a complete stop, when i was rear ended by a driver going approximately 40mph. The impact shoved me into the car in front of me as well. None of my airbags went off and the insurance adjusters believe the car is totaled. I had a previous accident where i was t-boned in drivers side and none of the airbags went off at that time either

Was in a roll-over crash. The vehicle was in motion. None of the side airbags went off on either side of the car and the car rolled three times during the accident.

The failure mileage was 11,000.

I have a 2015 toyota corolla with 85,000 miles. It has a noise sense it had 33,000 mile and toyota ignore it,(clunking) in the front left side when going through small potholes anduneven surfaces at slow speeds. I have changed the strut mounts, sway barlinks, sway bar bushings and even the sway bar and nothing has changed. Ido not what else to do. I have taken it to three mechanics and no one hasbeen able to determine the cause of the noise. My last mechanic advise me alot of toyota corolla have this issue he advise to replace the lowercontrol arm it will fix the issue and toyota should think about recall it this issue everyone have.

Control arm bushings. They were making sounds.was told by wappingers falls toyota previously that these parts or fine and it was a normal sound this problem has been going on for over a year,. I finally took it to a different dealership and they are correcting the problem by replacing lower control arms.however i cannot understand i'm a car this new needed to be brought in to have control arms replaced. At only 40000 miles.

The contact owns a 2015 toyota corolla. The contact stated that when veering to the left or right, the vehicle made an abnormal noise. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the vehicle needed an alignment, the axle failed, and new tires were required. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was then taken to the independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the wheel base measurements were not accurate. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 5,000.

Suspensions no good the reason why i say that about the suspensions is because the car shakes when i go in and out the car he can feel it and bounces,.... When i turn on the ac since day one i bought the car the car only has 13000 miles on it the car shakes real bad when the compressor turns off and to have the car cool already inside the car don't shake but i soon as i can put them back on the car shake like if it's going to break down when it comes on and offcool the car inside out shakes and then stop right away but as soon as the car is hot inside and it takes time for it to cool down the car shakes with the ac on ac off it don't shake it all 2015 toyota corolla le.....i have taking the car to the dealer so may time all readyi have asked friends with the same car they same the s same thing that the shocks and i'm good and the car vibrates when the ac is on that they also have taken to the dealer and the dealer does nothing

My wheel bearings went out on my car 4x already we was there a recall on the 2015 corolla

Possible sticking accelerator pedal . When slowly pulling into parking spot, the car accelerated at mass speed into barrier

Dangerous unintended acceleration.i was driving 5-10 mph in a parking lot when the car accelerated quickly for no reason.the floor mats were fine.my foot did not slip.the car just accelerated on its own to about 35 mph.

Failed transmission at 10000 miles. I was getting off the freeway when i noticed the car was making a strange noise. When i stop at the light on the off-ramp, the brakes locked and the car slid. When i attempted to accelerate again, the car put itself in neutral and stop in the middle of the lane. The car wouldn't go back into drive and i needed to be towed to the dealership. The dealership informed me that my transmission had failed and was to be replaced.

Your vin lookup says that my car is not registered or approved to be imported into the united states, and not permitted to be used on united states highways and roads.i purchased from cowboy toyota in dallas, texas.i am aware that the car is not configured like other corolla's in the united states, and is unique.please advise.

Driving down highway at 70mph and the sunroof suddenly exploded outward. I see this has happened to many people so why no recall? do we need a class action to recover our deductibles?

7 - manufacturer is not registered with nhtsa for sale or importation in the u.s. For use on u.s roads; please contact the manufacturer directly for more information.also eligible for takata airbag recallwhat do i do with is this car as it is not allowed for use on usa roads?i did purchase this car from cowboy toyota in dallas, tx.

I notice that the transmission starts skiddingdoesn't respond quickly the way it should when i'm starting to move the car.it stays in blank. And i have to try to increase very slowly the car and pick up mileage for it to go away. In the highway if there are cars stopping i ha e to stop. If i see through my rear window that a car is coming fast from behind and i want to move to avoid to get hit form behind my car will move something but not as fast enough to avoid getting hit because it stays in blank. Like skidding. I believel this could be hazardous to me and my family because if i findmyself in a situation that i have to move as quickly as possible to avoid someone on the road to hit me i won't be able to move as fast and can be hit by another car. I let the dealer service dept. Know they tell me that i have to wait for a recall. I'm very frustrated with this situation. The dealer told me about a code that toyota has to work on it to fix the problem because it is computerized. I asked if the dealer notified the problem to toyota. They said no. My question is when sil i have this problem solved? this is happening every day. I believe that this is potentially dangerous for the driver and the passengers in the car, (my family). Thank you for taking this situation into consideration. This has been happening ever since i bought the car in february. The dealer told me that soon a recall would come out and they would let me know. I'm still waiting.

There has been no incident or accident as a result of this defect.i bought a 2015 toyota corolla 8/29/15.after driving the car for 3 days i notice that the windshield appears to have a defect in the glass.the glass appears to have varying degrees of thickness as it slightly distorts the image you see through the windshield.there is a wave appearance when looking through the glass.this is very distracting while driving and also causes your eyes to strain while keeping your eyes on the road and therefore is causing migraines.

After a short trip on city streets, i came back out to my car and noticed the sunroof glass had spider-webbed. I had to drive home on the highway, and while driving at 60nph, the glass shattered, leaving a hole in the sunroof glass.

It happened two times in the exact same place once on oct. 24, 2017, and jan 24, 2018. I hadn't driven the car from oct. 24 til dec 20. I pulled into the parking lot, put my foot on the brake coming to a stop, went to change to reverse gear and back into my spot and the car just took off, lunging forward hitting the house in front of me. It did a lot of damage to my car, and also the house. The airbag never went off, and the seat belt didn't prevent me from my chest hitting the steering wheel. I had a very sore bruised sternum for over one week. It happened within one month of driving. I am afraid to drive this car anymore. If i was out in traffic or if someone was in front of me, i could have killed myself, or them!! toyota says there's nothing wrong with the car, but what else would you expect them to say.

The car makes a screeching sound every time i brake at the red light.it's difficult to brake completely and when i do, the car jolts forward every time. The car struggles to move like it's stuck or something. It makes me anxious to drive it. I've stopped driving because i don't think it's unsafe. I don't know much about cars, but i definitely don't want to endanger others. I don't know exact problem: unknown.

Vehicle accelerates independently when the brake pedal is depressed.it has happened several times now.so far no accidents but i am concerned about this issue.also the brake system is not functioning properly, hear creeking noise while depressing the brakes pedal (car in motion) and noise is getting worse.

Im having problems with gear safety switch it doesnt let me change gears or go forward..it started happening when i was out at the store so it scared me.

Drain hose in air conditioning was clogged causing water to accumulate at the bottom of the car and soaked all the carpet. This is a relatively new car and this should not have happened. Other unknown damage may be done to the car as a result of water leakage (air bags, electrical wiring) which could pose a safety hazard.

Tamara recall i have a 2015 toyota corolla le i have searched all over the web and find all aspects of this vehicle and complaints are the same that this vehicle has faulty wiring on the pcm this code keep popping up when i connect my computer to it p2757 which is p2757 means a problem with the torque converter clutch pressure control solenoid due to a bad torque converter or solenoid or electrical issues. The car is only two years old it shouldnot have this problem this car only has 6,100 miles and i have had this car for all mosta year also the the trac off light is also on which means that there is something wrong with the abs system also should be no reason for this car to have that problem this car is to new

My car smells like mildew in the winter, and when i turn my heater on and there is mildew around the rubber for my windows.

Vehicle sold with a defective driver side window. Took our 2015 toyota corolla into a shop to get the windows tinted, the vendor that tinted the windows stated the vehicle windows should not be rolled down for 5 days to allow the window tint to dry. We followed the instructions from the vendor (tint my ride) - 1330 s parker rd, denver, co 80231 - (720) 808-8286. We begin rolling the windows down after 5 days as instructed a few weeks went by and i noticed a gap between the tint and the car door. I took the car back to the vendor tint my ride to have them correct the window tint issue and the representative who sold my the window tint (veronica) mentioned that it was not a window tint issue and that it was a car window issue with the window sliding and being off track. This is a very serious safety issue if car manufacturers are able to sell brand new vehicles with windows that are defective and off track. This vehicle was bought brand new and has never been in an accident and we have always taken the vehicle in to get it maintenance according to the dealerships recommendations. How can a dealership sell a brand new vehicle to a customer that has a defective driver side window? this needs to be investigated as a safety issue as i am concerned there may be other safety concerns with this vehicle.

Attempting to obtain a reading with multiple attempts yields different possible oil levels and the levels are different on each side of the dipstick. I would note that this problem has been reported on numerous forums on the internet including forums dedicated to toyota enthusiasts as well as general car forums and engine oil forums. The problem has been reported not only for the corolla but also for other toyota models. Some owners have resorted to modifying the dipstick which should not be necessary. This is a serious issue. Not being able to obtain an accurate reading of engine oil level puts the engine at risk of damage and even serious and sudden failure if the oil is over or under filled. Engine damage and personal injury or death can obviously occur if engine failure occurs while in operation on roads. Toyota should take immediate action on this issue, investigate it, and provide a fix available at dealerships and announce that fix to owners. It is unclear whether it is a problem with the actual dipstick design, the tube that the dipstick goes into, or other, but a fix is definitely in order.i urge nhtsa to investigate this issue.

Plastic interior piece below passenger side glove compartment falls out repeatedly upon being touched, even lightly, whether the car is moving, stationary, on or off. Even after being put back into place at toyota dealership, still falls out every time, exposing wiring.

I lifted up the rear seat in order to install seat covers. The bar that is bolted to the floor (interior) and attaches to the rear seats was rusted, and each hinge (on both left and right sides) was rusted as well. Car was purchased in june of 2015 and is a 2015 toyota corolla.

Please see the attached file showing the problem.

This is an enterprise rental vehicle which, for the second time, accelerated on its own.i was backing out of a parking space, gear in reverse and foot on the brake pedal but not applying the brake yet when the vehicle suddenly accelerated in reverse.i immediately applied the brake and the vehicle stopped after several feet.there was nothing behind the vehicle so nothing was damaged.

The d disappeared from odometer and the echo light started flashing lost all power to car as itstalled. When the d reappeared the power to vehicle cam back on. Been doing it ever since. Took to dealership, because the computer could not locate an issue nothing was done they tried sending me on my way. They said they test dove it but could not duplicate the problem. I then insisted that another test drive with me in car. It started doing it right away at 35-40 mph. Took car back in shop found out computer connected to transmission was shorting out. One mech. Said he seen it one time before. I think that info should have been passed around to rest on mech to know about. I'm still driving the car having same issue waiting for a me computer to be delivered. They should have kept the car gave me a loaner. I come 25 miles one way to work i'm taking city streets to keep of freeway because i cannot keep the speed with traffic.

2015 toyota corolla accelerated on it;s own when slowing down on brake to turn into my driveway. I was scared from it and had no control and took my foot off the brake and pumped it and stopped the car before it crashed into the brick wall. I never had this issue before and hopefully, never again. My car is at 54k in miles and i was going at 10 mph.

This is an enterprise rental vehicle which i had just picked up from enterprise in mechanicsburg, pa.as i was pulling into my garage the vehicle accelerated on its own.i had my foot on the brake pedal but had not yet pressed down on it to apply the brake.suddenly, the vehicle accelerated and raced forward.i quickly applied the brakes and it stopped short of hitting items inside the garage.

Atlanta ga temp was 105 on aug 7, when i heard a pop sound and then the passenger side mirror exploded

The contact owns a 2015 toyota corolla. The contact stated that both the driver and passenger side view mirrors exhibited a glare from the dashboard which distorted the visibility. The reflection was permanent and occurred even though there was no sunlight. The dealer stated that the vehicle functioned as designed. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The failure mileage was 300.

I purchased a 2015 toyota corolla in august 2015.after driving the car for about three days i noticed a very strong wave effect was present in the windshield that spanned the length of the glass from top to bottom and a series of waves with varying width spanned the entire windshield.it appeared as though the thickness of the glass varied.driving the car caused migraine headaches and it was very difficult to concentrate of the road because of the distortion present on the driver's side.the effect is similar to looking through eyeglasses that are the wrong prescription, or using reader glasses that are too strong.i took the car to the dealership who did see the defect and worked with me to replace it.upon picking the car up i found the replacement windshield had the same defect but in a different spot.the defect this time was in the center of the glass making it impossible to look into oncoming traffic when trying to make a turn.the car was again returned to the dealer who confirmed the presence of the defect and agreed to yet again replace the windshield.the third replacement windshield is now on the car and although the effect is not as strong as the first two the third windshield also has noticeable waves going through the drivers side and a very obvious rippling effect on the passenger side of the windshield.there appears to be a defect in every windshield that is coming from the manufacturer factory, these have all been oem windshields. It causes headaches, is a distraction when driving due to objects changing shape while driving, and i am concerned that it is also a safety issue if the laminate and glasshave not been properly tempered and bonded together, therefore making the windshield weaker in the event of a crash.i believe the asashi glass company is exporting defective windshields to be placed on corollas.

1st wreck 9/2017-was hit on driver fender side and bent wheel frame and partially dented the door . The impact moved my car to hit the side curb . My airbag did not deploy2nd wreck -tboned on passenger side twice caved the entire door and rod. 2nd part of hit tore the rear bumper completely off . Airbag deployed on passenger not on driver in result person now has a hematoma to the breast due to all trauma at impact to the steering wheel. Car is now totaled

Tamara recallmy airbags did not deploy during impact. Constant lowvtire pressure and electrical issues
