I involved in a car accident in january 14 /2014 with a toyotacorolla 2013 le. The impact was damaged all front of the car (in both side) until the engine, the vehicle has multiple air bag on it, none of them deployed during that total loss.
Takata recall--car make and model are listed on recall list--local toyota dealer says no--but don't trust that statement.checked with colonial toyota, indiana pa 15701--was repeatedly told no.
The subject vehicles may be equipped with an electronic control unit (ecu) from a specific supplier designed to receive signals from crash sensors and deploy the airbags and seat belt pretensioners. The ecu may not have adequate protection against certain electrical noise that can occur in certain crashes, such as severe underride crashes. This can lead to incomplete or nondeployment of the airbags and/or seat belt pretensioners.
The contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla. The contacts son was driving at 60 mph, the rear passenger side tire blew out causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle fishtailed, crashed into the passenger side of a truck, spun around, then went backwards crashing into a concrete wall where the vehicle came to a stop. No air bags deployed. A police report was not filed and there were no injuries reported. The driver installed the spare tire and drove the vehicle to his residence. The insurance company then towed the vehicle to a collision repair facility. A dealer was not contacted for the failure but the contact mentioned that prior to the failure, the vehicle was serviced under an air bag recall at a toyota dealer located in hot springs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximant 74,465.
I had a wreck and i ran into another car going about 25 mph and my air bag did not deploy. I hit someone from behind, i thought i hit the brake but it did not stop and acted like i had the accelerator on. So i am asking about air bag & brake problems
The contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla. The contact stated that the air bag warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where diagnostic testing was performed, which located the failure at the seat belt assembly sensor. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure and current mileage was 930.
I went to a toyota dealer to get the recall work done(dealer at2610 forest lane'dallas,tx) they never did the repair and gave me a phone call trying to sell me with $1000+ of bogus repairs. There was nothing wrong with my car,i have a 21point inspecrtion done twice a year by good mechanics--except the red light under the radio stays on and says airbag off.the button to the right of this would say airbags on but it doesnt't work. They never did the the repair. This repair was also something about seatbelt. All they did was try and scam me for $1000.
The contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla. The contact stated while his wife was driving 45 mph, the front passenger's side air bag warning light illuminated while the contact was occupying the front passenger's seat. The contact subsequently received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 20v024000 (air bags). The vehicle was taken to the dealer to have the recall repairs completed. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 72,000.
Takata recall. Stone mountain toyota has been extremely unresponsive in my efforts to get the takata recall on my vehicle accomplished. My vehicle was purchased at this dealership and they seem to try to delay or impede the process of replacing the affected part. They claim, from the beginning, that i must leave my vehicle with them overnight to get the work done. I know that the actual repair time is 10 minutes and that the dealer has up to 1 1/2 hours to do the work, also, the fact that i made an appointment for the work to be done so that they can schedule the necessary personnel to complete the work should be adequate for them to do the work needed. My appointment was march 26, 2018 at 3:00 pm and when i arrived they informed me that the car had to be left at the dealership overnight. This is unacceptable since i need the vehicle to go to work. They make no effort to complete the repairs in a reasonable time frame. The address for stone mountain toyota is 4400 us highway 78, lilburn, ga 30047 and their phone number is770-736-0030.

Takata recall
On wednesday, july 30, 2014 i was driving on i-5 south bound, just before cannon road exit. Traffic was going at 35-40 mph, however, at times coming to complete stops. Traffic was very slow ahead so i brake and came near a complete stop. I looked in the rearview mirror and noticed the car behind me approaching at a very high speed, i was constrained on both sides and unable to move to avoid an accident. The car rear-ended me at a high speed and within seconds pushed me at a high speed into the car in front of me, i did brace for the impact but the seatbelt never tensioned or locked and no airbags deployed in my vehicle even though my front end was impacted severely. I put my arms up and twisted my body to the left in order to protect myself. I used my own body as a protection. I am currently being treated for whiplash and shoulder pain due to no active or passive system in the car being deployed.i consider this a very serious safety concern and want to ensure it is addressed as soon as possible to prevent others from having to go through an accident with no active or passive restraints working...updated 12/09/15 updated 08/28/2017*ct
Sunday, february 4 at about 7 pm, it had been a rainy day with a lot of humidity, leaving my parents' house a block before the traffic lights i do not understand how the air bags were activated and as a result of that i lost control of my vehicle and i caught the light in red. As a result almost a fatal accident my mother was in the hospital in intensive care for 3 days, me and my nephews with many blows, thank god not very serious. But the people who impacted me as a result of not stopping at the red light, also suffered many injuries.that i have to do?thank you
My vehicle was completely stop at the traffic light waiting for green light.suddenly a vehicle hitting me from behind and causing me to hit another vehicle in front.a total of 3 vehicles involved in this accident and my vehicle was in the middle.the impact was so severe resulting in (1) near total loss both front and rear of my vehicle; and (2) bodily injures.as a result of this severe impact, this vehicle is no longer able to drive and had to be tolled by a toll truck.furthermore, none of the airbags in this vehicle (2013 corolla) were deployed as a result from this severe accident.this vehicle was purchased brand new within the past 6-month from a local dealership.
"takata recall"vehicle airbags failed to deploy after impact at 55 mph in a 3 vehicle pile up on the freeway.i have taken my vehicle in before for passenger airbag recall and repaired. Neither one deployed including the side doors, passenger and driver.as the results of this failure, i sustained injuries after the initial impact.
Toyota corolla was traveling down the road at approx. 30 to 35 miles per hour, when another older small car came through an intersection and hit the corolla on the driver side, smashing in the doors and causing the corolla to spin around the intersection and face the opposite direction. Side doors and quarter panels were damaged as well as wheels, plus rear axle assembly was broken causing the rear passenger wheel to be bent at an angle. The car was not able to be driven from the scene.at the time of the accident no airbags were deployed.the driver of the vehicle was taken by ambulance to the hospital for injuries. Most injuries to the head, neck, arm, side and legs healed after three weeks, accept for a should injury causing difficulty in rotating arm. Further mris and or surgery may be needed if injury and inflammation does not heal.concern is that airbags did not deploy, and that now with new sensors being added during the $10,000 repair job, concern is that the airbags themselves were defective.
Takata recall has announced that my vehicle air bag passenger side frontal has been recalled but i have not been notified by anyone.
Takata recall i made an appointment 2 weeks ago to fix the probalem and the next available is feb. 24, i would like this problem to be fixed sooner or have a replacement car in the meantime. The safety risk is ridiculous.
I stopped on a slow going traffic on a highway.suddenly, a ford explorer hit me on the back trunk and rear glass damaged suddenly and pushed my car to hit the car in front of me. It damaged the front badly. If i have passengers in the back, it will hurt them badly or sudden death because of the back is not strong which cause the glasses to break and bend the trunk and sun roof. The air bag did not pop up. It is not safe!!my head, neck, back, spinal cord were painful. There were no damage on the ford explorer.toyota was easily damage and rolled/pushed to the front car. Please tested the back/trunk/bumper/airbag. Recently about 5 months ago, my 2006 corolla was hit behind from a honda accord that was going 5mph after making a stop at a stoplight. My car was badly damaged at the bumper and head lights, while the other car was hardly damaged. This is the 3rd accidents in 4 month with corolla body parts.after these accidents, i do not want to own another toyota!! i'm scared for my life.
I rear ended a a chevy tahoe, at aound 20-35 mph, the vehicle received heavy damage in the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was declared total loss. I the driver received a concussion. My faced manage to hit the steering wheel, the air bags from this vehicle did not deploy.
Takata air bag recall. It may spray metal debris toward vehicle occupants and may cause serious injury
The contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla. A month after purchasing the vehicle, it didn't recognize that the seat belt was fastened. The air bag warning light illuminated, which indicated that the air bag was deactivated when a passenger was in the vehicle. The manufacturer did not have the parts to remedy the vehicle. The approximate failure mileage was 31,608.

My vehicle was at full stop at the traffic light waiting for green light.suddenly a vehicle hitting me from behind and causing me to hit another car in front.a total of 3 vehicles involved in this accident and my vehicle was in the middle.the impact was so severe resulting in (1) near total loss both front and rear of my vehicle; and (2) bodily injures.as a result of this severe impact, this vehicle is not longer able to drive and was tolled by a toll truck.moreover, none of the airbags in this vehicle (2013 corolla) were deployed as a result from this severe accident.this vehicle was purchased brand new within the past 6-month from a local dealership.

The consumer took her vehicle to the repair shop, when she retrieved her vehicle, she was informed one of the recalls could not be completed because the technician was ill, and she would have to make another appointment. My wife had a collision and my corolla became total but airbag never inflate
I had a very bad accident on 8-11-2016 my car is total loss. My airbag did notdeploy.
When the passenger seat is occupied by an adult and the charging port is used, the passenger side airbag deactivates. Even though the seat belt is fastened and the passenger seat is occupied, the fasten seat belt light comes on, the passenger airbag shows off, and the airbag light on the dash comes on. I took it to the toyota dealership and they could not replicate the problem. I plugged in a charger for a cell phone in order to replicate the problem. The service adviser saw the lights come on. The service adviser contacted toyota assistance and was told that they are aware of the issue and have no current fix for the problem. This is a safety issue that deactivates the passenger side airbag on the vehicle. They mentioned that they have approximately 20 complaints for this issue, yet they are not able to fix the problem. The only solution given at this point is to not use the charging ports while the passenger seat is occupied.
I have been trying to schedule an appointment with toyota of hollywood, fl and have left messages for service advisors who do not return calls.i received the recall notice two months ago and have been told the only way to get an appointment is with a service advisor.do i have to take time out of my busy schedule to drive to the dealer to make an appointment?

It's has been determined that takata driver's side air bag hasn't been replaced by the dealer. The toyota dealer replaced passenger side air bag about 2 years ago. I don't think they have replaced the driver side airbag which could be dangerous in a crash.

I was standing in a cross over awaiting to make a left hand turn when traffic cleared. Awoman swerved to miss hitting a car and t-boned me in the drivers side of the car. My head flew to the right, than to the left, my head hit the car frame of the door on the left and then the airbag deployed. The airbag was delayed in going off which resulted in my head hitting the car frame, the airbag blew off in my earand i have lost my hearing in my left ear permanently.

Preowned 2013 toyota corolla in this car have a carfax report that says in 2 previous accidents the air bags never deployded. As its 3rd owner purchased with 46958miles i have noticed that i the vehicle brakes to hard. And when i step lightly on the brake it continues to drive till i step harter on the brake. Its hardly noticeable and to catch.3rd ishu is that when i us the ac it uses too much fule. Also with the ac turned off it is still blowing out cool air at a low level that could be sensed by placing your hands by the air vents.
Takata recall
Takata recallthis recall came out in may, and i cannot even have anyone sit inthe front seat, as there is a risk if there is a front impact that metal shards will go into the occupants face from the airbag.

When i am driving the vehicle the radio/navigation system turns off without warning and restarts in about 10 seconds. This happens a couple of times a day. The radio/navigation also freezes and you have to turn the car off and back on to unfreeze it. It does this on all type of roads, smooth or rough, straight or curved. Took car to the dealer several times and they say its a known problem and they are waiting for a fix from toyota usa. After the third complaint they said they replaced the head unit and in a week the problem returned. I suspect its a problem in the wiring harness.
My car was hacked almost killing me. Cyber attack 10/31/15 as i was driving the battery/alternator kept draining forcing me to pull over to side of road. A strange gas also was periodically spraying out of vent fogging windows w/white film making it difficult to see & breath. Each time i pulled over car recharged itself on grass/dirt. At least the 8th or 9th time this happened the steering wheel jerked to right & w/in 1-2 seconds i went from 45-50mph-0 like hitting invisible building in middle of road. Pushed gas pedal to floor, not enough speed to pull off road. No lights, power, engine died. My body was jarred forward abruptly. A red light started blinking & beeping at bottom of consul & gas started coming out of vent again. I struggled to get out of car for fear of being hit from behind as it was pitch black out, also wanted to get cat out car which i left in field before police & ambulance arrived. I had blood down to socks. I was in hospital 1 week and no accident report was filed, my cat is still missing. I called dealership to report mechanical/electrical defect & was avoided/resisted for 3 1/2 weeks/over 30 hours on the phone before it was suggested i call manufacturer & another 2 weeks before they cooperated & filed claim. This has been a full time job trying to get someone to take responsibility. I sell real estate & cant work/earn money with no car. 12/11/15 toyota sent inspector to place car was towed to pull info off data recorder. 2/1/15 i still have not received report. I have 3 year one pay lease expiring 9/2016, no money & no car. This has been an absurd, brain draining exhausting waste of time w/no end in site. I've reached out to ftc, consumer protection, govenors/senators...i just wanted them to take responsibility, loan or give me a car while they inspect and have had zero recourse to date. They want to sue me for cost of car/impound/storage fees.
On the month of january i had an accident the airbags did not deploy had a recall for air bag but never had notification to take it to a dealership or get it fixed. They vehicle was stationary and got hit on the front end of the vehicle
The contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla. While driving at any speed, the speedometer failed to operate. There were no warning indicators illuminated before or after the failure. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vin was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 82,000.
In the past year this car has exhibited multiple occurrences (52 documented) of delayed acceleration from 1 to 3 seconds when pressing on the accelerator pedal.i have tried to get toyota to acknowledge and repair the problem unsuccessfully as the car has been covered under original warranty throughout this time.multiple drivers have attested to the defect.in ncds arbitration toyota claimed pauses were due to the "traction control" or "electronic vehicle stability control" kicking in and reducing power to the wheels.this couldn't be the case as in none of the incidents did the instrument panel lights which come on when those features activate light up.most of the incidents occurred on dry, asphalt, and straight roads and non-hurried driving.this problem is a safety hazard as it occurs intermittently and random without warning.
The contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla. While driving approximately 30 mph, the check engine warning light illuminated and the track off message appeared on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician diagnosed that the water damage was due to an air conditioning failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 15,000.
When we go to remove the key from the ignition switch it won't turn completely to allow removal at times and you have to start the car several times to move it and it can affect the shifting of the transmission out of park. The vehicle was stationary at the time. This of course can be a safety problem.
I want my money back
My daughter was driving south on interstate 95 (md) in the far left lane (fast lane) when her 2013 toyota corolla went out of control and went into a 180 degree clockwise spin across 3 lanes of traffic into the far right right lane (slow lane) and when she pumped her brakes the car went into a 180 degree counter clockwise spin back across 4 lanes of traffic almost getting hit by a jeep before stopping on the left shoulder facing oncoming traffic. Incident happened in rush hour traffic at 9:20am on wet roads.yellow abs light and traction control light was on, but not the red brake light. Was told by toyota that the brake actuator assembly failed. In researching this issue, i found toyota to have a history of brake actuator assembly problems resulting in warranty extensions, service campaigns & recalls on 2007-to 2011 camry's ,2010 prius, 2012 & 2013 tacoma pick ups, toyota rav 4's.
The contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla. While driving 45 mph, the vehicle shook and failed to accelerate when the accelerator pedal was depressed. *steering*i went to visit my dad & run some errands in la county on july 6th 2013. I reside in orange county so i had to get on the freeway. The speed limit on california freeways is 65 miles per hour. When i got up to 65 miles per hour my car started veering off to the left & i had keep a firm grip on the steering wheel with both hands to keep the car in my lane. The speed limit in irvine on most streets is 50 miles per hour. I don't seem to have the veering problem at 50 miles per hour or less like i did at 65 miles per hour. Very scary.*engine problems 2 times so far* on 8/14/13 i tried to start my car to run an errand & it wouldn't start. I turned the key towards me & tried to start it again then it started right up. I thought that it was a one time incident so i let it go. Earlier today 8/17/13 the same thing happened. I put the key in the ignition, turned the key & nothing happened, it didn't start up. Once again i turned the key towards me then turned it in the opposite direction & it started right up.i just bought this car on 6/9/13 & after the test drive it had 5 miles on it when i drove off of the dealer's lot "power toyota cerritos" aka autonation. I currently have 649 miles on my car. I plan on contacting the dealership service dept on 8/19/13 to make an appointment to have my vehicle inspected. If this problem persists i'm going to contact a lemon law attorney. I have a disabled child that i use this vehicle to transport to & from doctor's appointments. I bought a toyota because of the reputation of dependability that the name carries. Now i'm not so sure.

I was almost crushed by my car while performing an oil change. I had the car jacked up on the passenger side using the stock jack. This was in my garage on level concrete. I drained the oil and replaced the oil pan plug with no issue. I went to to loosen the oil filter cap with the speciality socket cover i ordered online. I made sure to spring out the metal clip that prevents a lose cap from coming off. I went to torque the cap lose and it did not budge. Keeping in mind when torquing ones force is going to the back of the car. I gave the wrench another good push and the noticed the car wobbled. I pulled out immediately and in the next 5 seconds the jack gave way. The stock jack looks to be designed to handle side to motion but not that much back to front. There doesn't seem to be a way to preloosen the cap before raising the car either. Either way please look into this. I could have died today and want to raise this as an issue. Thank you.
Car overheating and when i was checking under hood while vehicle was stationary in driveway to see if radiator fan was working place where small hose that connects to reservoir is attached to plastic radiator pipe broke suddenly projecting strong stream of scalding radiator fluid to my abdomen causing burn injury.
The contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla. While driving various speeds, the vehicle jerked and unexpectedly accelerated. Also, the check engine indicator illuminated. My vehicle does not accelerate properly it almost stalls i thought the battery was bad but even after replacing it im having the same issues toyota does not admit having any issues with this car for this particular problem. Also the air copressor is needing to be replaced but the vehicle is so new its hard to find the part.
On the month of january i had an accident the airbags did not deploy had a recall for air bag but never had notification to take it to a dealership or get it fixed. They vehicle was stationary and got hit on the front end of the vehicle

While driving west on highway 50 at 65 mph at approximately 7 pm, i turned off the cruise control and the motor stopped at the same time. The car immediately began to slow down and i attempted to restart the motor, which was impossible with the car in gear (automatic transmission). The emergency lights were then turned on as the cars behind were honking their horns and other cars were passing right and left. We were in the second lane with the headlights, also on, of course. I tried starting the car in neutral and that didn't work. When we came to a full stop, i put the car in park and started the car. Everything went well after that.
Dec 27 2015 around reno nv. It happened three times that day. I was breaking gently to come to a stop (because of a stop sign). The shifter was in "d". When the car speed decreased to around 10mph, the engine suddenly accelerated and the car lurched forward. I applied maximum pressure on the brake pedal to stop the car. The car stopped, the engine was idling after the stop. After the stop, everything went back to normal, till it happened the 2 other times this day (same scenario).dec 29 2015 in south lake tahoe ca. I was driving at around 10mph in heavy traffic in downtown. Shifter was in "d". The car in front of me stopped. I depressed the brake pedal to stop. At that point the engine suddenly accelerated in full force. The car lurched forward. I applied full force on the brake pedal and at the same shifted in neutral. My car stopped just a couple inches of the car in front of me. Now in neutral and the car halted, the engine is redlining hitting the rev limiter and staying there.i shifted to "park"and turned off the engine. Waited for about 5 seconds.i started the engine and stayed in "park", immediately the engine revved up to red line and stayed there. I turned off the engine and waited about 5 seconds.i started the engine a second time, same thing, engine shoots up to red line and stay there. I turned off the engine and waited about 10 seconds.i started the engine a third time. This time, the engine stayed at idle and i could go normally.at the times of the problem, the temp. Was around -1 degree celsius.after the last occurrence, i stopped and checked if anything was in the way of the gas pedal. Nothing was in the way.happens only at low speed, when you try to stop the car.this last occurrence decided me to write to you because the car put me in an unsafe situation and we very little time to react.
The contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla. The contact stated that while driving 50 mph, the power steering intermittently failed without warning. The vehicle became increasingly difficult to maneuver. Also, the contact mentioned that the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure and current mileage was 19,800.
2013 toyota corolla consuming excessive oil. Continuing to refill engine oil. No visible leaks, no oil stains under vehicle.vehicle is slowly losing power. Noticed many other toyota vehicles going through this same problem. This is very costly and if toyota parts are at fault i want people to know. Thank you for your time.
When accelerating to pass another vehicle the engine misfired and i had no power to continue passing the vehicle. This has been fixed several times at the dealer but continues to happen.
Was trying to reverse and all of sudden the car just turns off ..driving on the freeway and the accelerator is taking for ever to pick up this all stared from the day i bought it i call in right away and they told me that i was not able to take the car back.

For three weeks we have been wondering why our new toyota corolla is steaming hot inside. Since we use it solely to commute to school which is just 2 miles away, we solve the problem by winding down the windows. The kids were complaining that this car is exceptionally hot and we thought it absorbs and retains the summer heat due to its darker color. Last weekend, we decided to drive an hour away from home. By the time we headed for home, it was afternoon and the vehicle was parked under the sun for about five hours. We turned on the ac in the hope to cool it down. Fifteen minutes later, i felt dizzy and drowsy. I struggled to keep myself awake. I was terrified to find that the ac is not just failing to cool the car down, it was emitting steaming hot air. We quickly wind down the windows to let the summer air in, which felt much cooler in comparison. The kids were very quiet and scared. As soon as we reached home, my son complained that his eyes felt very hot. His whole body felt very hot. He felt very tired and sleepy. First thing monday morning, i sent the car back to the dealer. They found a leak and had the parts ordered. I have to drive the car home unfixed until the parts arrive. I am now still driving a new defective car without ac. Three days later, my son is still running a low grade fever and i dare not let him sit in the car with such poor ventilation under the hot summer sun. I come to realize that the ac was broken when the car was sold to me brand new.

There is a case where my toyota corolla 2013 has an inaccurate reading of its fuel range. Below you can find an instance of the sequence for reproducing the glitch.step 1: corolla fuel gauge was showing a little more than 1/4 of the fuel tank capacity. I filled up the tank, after that, the fuel range was showing 294 miles,it was working properly, and the average fuel consumption was 26.9 miles/gallon.step 2: travel about 30 miles with the car. Fuel range was showing 265 miles.step 3: fill up the tank again.step 4: travel with the car 1 mile. The fuel range showed 264 miles. It has not reset the fuel range yet.step 5: travel 50 miles more. The fuel range has not reset according the fuel gauge yet. The fuel range is not working properly.then, go to step 1, the fuel range reset according to the fuel gauge after travel a few meters. I have repeated this sequence over and over again and i have had the same result. It means, as you follow the sequence, the fuel range has an inaccurate reading.i found this glitch when i filled up the tank before tanking a trip out of my city and the tank was almost full.

My vehicle stalled out on me while i was driving and was almost hit as a result. After many attempts to find the cause, the final answer was the fuel pump, $2900 later. I just heard about the recall and to my surprise my vehicle was not listed for the fuel pump recall. Toyota service replaced the fuel pump but i'm not sure they did it correctly because i am still having the same issues. I've owned 4 corollas but this one i've had to put the most money in because of issues i've never had to deal with prior.

Its hardly noticeable and to catch.3rd ishu is that when i us the ac it uses too much fule. Also with the ac turned off it is still blowing out cool air at a low level that could be sensed by placing your hands by the air vents.
Car does not engage in gear when first started and placed in drive or reverse. It remains in neutral (even though the shift lever is in drive or reverse position), then gradually slides into gear. This is dangerous when trying to merge with traffic from curbside, parked position. The car does not go when accelerator is depressed. It is hard to time when the transmission will engage and the car will go. You might get lucky and enter the stream of traffic safely or get hit because the car does not accelerate as expected. Dealer cannot duplicate problem but each time i get it back it does it again.
There are times when accelerating going around a corner or even straight there's a pause and that acceleration for at least a good twenty feet but there's nothing their in the acceleration could cause an accident person back doesn't realize there's no acceleration

4 months ago they replaced both front axles and 3 months in passenger front axle inner part broke in half.had part warrantied and put in another right front axle.2 weeks in and axle has went bad again.all the axles cant be bad, there is obviosuly an issue with this car and right front axles.i think a recall needs to be issued.

My wife had a collision and my corolla became total but airbag never inflate
To begin i would like to say that when i bought my car in 2014 the back middle seatbelt was already cut. My 12-year-old son was riding in the back seat passenger side. He had his seatbelt on and then he started complaining that it was getting tighter so i pulled over and tried getting the seatbelt to unlock. It would not unlock and was getting tighter. Finally i had to go into a gas station and borrow a pair of scissors to cut the seatbelt so my son could get out

The rear seat was always tough to get it to stay locked in place after folding the seat down.at 70,000 miles, one half of the 60/40 seat would not stay locked in position, after being folded down.according to the dealer, the whole seat locking mechanism needs to be replaced at a cost of $300.furthermore, the part is on a 'national backorder', and i have no idea when this part will be available for installation.i feel that this is a part that should last well beyond the useful life of the vehicle, and is a very odd part to fail.this part has been trouble for some time, and failed when the vehicle was stationary, but means i can't have anyone in the affected part of the rear of the vehicle, until this part is replaced.
The contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla. The contact stated that there was a wire that ran horizontally across the inside of the driver's front seat and caused the contact to sustain back pain. I leased my car in june 2013 and about a year and half later the mechanic told me that my brakes are getting low.i was confused i thought brakes lasted a least three years brand new out the dealership.he said no it depends how i drive and how many times i stop.so i said really you have cars coming in a year and half later that have low brakes already it sounds like you guys put in cheap brakes.he said no that their brakes are top quality brakes. So i said ok but i will wait six months.so here we are now 2 years into my lease and about 19500 miles into my car they said i needed brakes.i called pep boys, midas, and other shops they said my brakes shouldn't die that fast.i said i thought so too but the toyota insist that their brakes are excellent and that it is normal for brakes to die at about 2 years in.
Hi siri have problems in adjust the angles that affect to my staring and speedthe mechanical said i have to replace the rear sup frame that will cost about 900$
Driving slowly in traffic, car in front stopped.i went to stop and pumped brake pedal several times but car would not stop.rear ended car in front, steering wheel airbag deployed and engine stopped.went to move car out of traffic lane and again when i went to stop, now going only 3-5 mph, pumped brakes again several times and car would not stop.same thing happened one more time.then drove car to rental agency using hand/emergency brake only, and traded in damaged car for different one.do not know anything more about what might have been found wrong with vehicle.
I bought my vehicle under warranty at around 7000 miles. Before 36000 miles i had taken it to the dealer 3 times with complaints of bad front wheel bearing. They gave me the run and around and i ended up replacing the defective bearing now 3 times. Now i again have to replace the bearing on the back which comes now complete without having to be pressed in. I have heard from others that this car is anonymous for this part being defective which i think it's unfair for the consumer. This part is close to over 200$. I was also told by the dealer on first occurrence that it was my tires cause the vehicle wore them unevenly. The consumer is not being informed, protected and sold bad quality parts on vehicles and the producer is not being held responsible.
Purchased vehicle september 2015 with 59,000 miles.8 months later the master cylinder malfunctions.brake pedal has to be pushed all the way to the floor and makes a weird noise, like a creaking noise.i take it to be repaired.they bleed the brakes.temporary fix.november 2016, same problem and i take it to be repaired and master cylinder is replaced.5 months later, same problem and the master cylinder is being replaced again for the 2nd time.
On 11/19/20 the car accelerated and brakes stuck when turning right at about 5-10 miles to the parking space at jalapenos restaurant, 450 e 1st st tustin ca 92780. Car stopped because the bar on the ground prevented the car from moving forward! it scared the hell out of me, it left me shacking!
There's a high pitched metal grinding noise that has been coming and going on it's own when applying the brakes. This noise happens at slow or high speeds. My brake pads still have meat on them and the rotor is not warped as well. I've even checked for brake dust which i don't have any so i'm not sure what's going on. My friend's 2012 corolla makes the same metal grinding noise when braking and there has even been complaints on carcomplaints.com and see people having the same issue. I bought this car over two years ago and it still has been making the same noise since then. Please look into this because this could be a serious issue due to a problem with the most important part of a car..the braking system!thank you, nhtsa.
"takata recall"abs does not work and was diagnosed by toyota. Toyota wants $4500.00 to fix it. Car has 53,000 miles on it.
The contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla.while driving 65 mph, the steering wheel became difficult to turn and the vehicle would veer left and right. The vehicle also had delayed acceleration and the vechicle abnormally vibrated. The dealer stated that the brakes needed to be replaced and the rotors needed to be surfaced. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 16,000.
The contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla. The contact stated that while driving 25 mph, he depressed the brake pedal and the abs light illuminated.he had to pump the brake pedal a few times in order to get the vehicle to stop. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection but they could not determine the cause of failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 26,500.
On july 3, 2015 when at first my car wouldn't start, i asked someone to look at my car and it was noticed that my brake fluid level was very low just to the point of empty. I was very concern because at no point prior to this discovery, the "brake" warning light did not flash or appear on to inform me to this issue! i called auto dealer and made an appointment for routine oil/maintenance serviceand requested that this matter be researched as to why no "brake" warning light worked; to also flush the brake system to check for air in the hose etc...; however very disappointment with auto service reply: i was basically told that the brake fluid level was not low enough for the "brake" warning light to activated; however when the car eventually started; the brake pedal was very noisy and once brake fluid level filled, the noise stopped. I believe that due to the "brake" warning light not being activated was a great safety risk to myself as well as others.
The brake pedal is positioned so that it can catch the side or sole of the driver's shoe so that the brakes cannot be activated. It can capture the shoe under the brake pedal, making it impossible to activate the brakes. When needing brakes under an emergency situation, the shoe can be trapped, and can involved in a collision. This happens at least once every time i drive the car, and caused my mother to have an accident, because she could not get her foot on the brake pedal. Fortunately no one was injured, and only 3 cars were damaged.
Took my car in for a check engine light, slipping of the transmission. I was called and told that the transmission is fine and that the new sv transmissions handle differently from the older transmissions, i shouldn't be worried. Then i was told that i need to replace the front and rear brakes as they are bad. I was told by the service advisor that i ruined the brakes by driving the car hard. This is the first time in my thirty four years of driving that i have been told that i ruin brakes. When i purchased the vehicle it had 14599 miles. When i brought the vehicle in for check engine light the mileage on the vehicle it had 24397. Less than 10,000 miles had been driven on this vehicle and i am being told that i have to spend 600 dollars on a brake job. I have owned many cars, different makes and models and i have never ever had to replace brakes, rotors, pads, drums, shoes so soon. I believe that this vehicle has defective rotors, drums and should be replaced at manufacturers/dealers cost. I own a 2011 kia sportage and drove that for close to 60,000 miles before having to do brakes. The brakes have a pulsating, vibrating when braking on highway speeds and on city roads.this is a safety concern as well. Brakes on a vehicle with such low miles should not have to be replaced so soon.
I had a wreck and i ran into another car going about 25 mph and my air bag did not deploy. I hit someone from behind, i thought i hit the brake but it did not stop and acted like i had the accelerator on. So i am asking about air bag & brake problems
I was in a car accident turning, left at a big intersection in pooler, ga there was a double turn lane.i talked my brakes as other car next to me was in my lane on the turn.he adjusted and i preceded up the inclined road to where cars were stopped waiting for the light.i was horrified as i realized my brakes was not stopping by the time my brain computed they was not working, when they just worked seconds earlier.next then i heard a gun shot noise from air bags exploding and was in the rear end of an suv.i recall my brakes was replaced at 37000 miles pad were thin and constant brake dust daily on my rims.i am fortunate minor injuries and was going at a low speed.this could of been a fatal accident if on the freeway at high speeds.my brakes failing causes me high anxiety and, fear when driving now.insurance company does not inspect my brakes issue which is disheartening since this was the cause of my accident. I was going about 15 to 20 and braking to slow down so i thought then realized my car was not stopping.
The contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla. While driving 5 mph, the vehicle failed to stop when the brake pedal was depressed. As a result, the contact's vehicle crashed into another vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. A police report was not filed and no injuries were reported. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The failure mileage was unknown.
Takata recall i got a car from toyota expressway in boston massachusetts ever since i got the car from them remind you that to use the car i've been having problems i mean bringing the car back the same problems over and over which is the brakes the steering wheel it feels like it needs an alignment when i drive it feels like the car sliding from left to right and then not doing nothing about the situation and i'm getting fed up because i have a daughter and this is very dangerous so i would like something to be done about this thank you also i was in a car accident and before they even fix the vehicle they said there was a default there was a lot of problems going on with the car which i've been trying to tell the car dealership toyota but they are not doing nothing about it
The contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla. The contact depressed the brake pedal and the braking distance increased. The failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that there was a brake leak behind the master cylinder. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The failure mileage was 34,000.

Also, the contact mentioned that the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure and current mileage was 19,800.
I noticed a rattle sound around steering wheel so i took corolla to service department. Technician was able to find the rattle. Dealership service center contacted toyota and they we're advised to replace my entire steering wheel column. The rattle sound is gone but since they replaced the steering wheel column there seems to be over rotation of the steering wheel (meaning i have to turn the wheel more than usual to make a right or left hand turn), steering wheel will not return to the center like normal and makes a rubbing sound when i turn left or right while parked or driving at very low speeds 5-10 mph. Technician and service advisorstated they felt the car drove fine and that they did everything they could to remedy the problem. I will be taking my car to service department one more time to see if they can figure out what the rubbing noise is and why my vehicle steering is not as it should be.
The contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla. While driving 30 mph, the power steering failed without warning. The vehicle became difficult to control and caused the contact to crash into another vehicle. There were no injuries. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 3,500.
2013 toyota corolla.consumer writes in regards to electrical assisted power steering issues.the consumer stated he has to constantly steer the vehicle straight.
While attempting to make a sharp right turn from a stationary position the steering wheel locked in place for a few seconds and freed up only after wrestling with it several seconds. Also, on the highway the car seems to weave left or right at any given moment. This car has the electric steering system. The steering wheel locking also happened approx. On 12/15/18
2013 toyota corolla wanders at highway speeds. It is very difficult to keep the vehicle moving straight down the road. Steering is overly sensitive and any correction in the steering wheel results in the vehicle drifting into the adjacent lanes. This steering issue makes the car unsafe at highway speeds. The alignment on the vehicle was checked and is all within tolerances. The tires are in good condition and are all inflated to the correct pressure.

When driving at 55+ mph the steering wanders. It will pull to the left or right by itself. Very hard to keep it straight within my lane. I just bought it brand new, so i took it into the dealer to see if they could fix it. They told me nothing was wrong with it. I told my salesman and we decided to drive some other vehicles to see if it was just the corolla or not. I drove a camry and avalon with no problems at all, the salesman drove my corolla and was shocked immediately at how much it wandered and how hard it was to keep in his lane. Same day, same road conditions, same wind. I did some research online and found hundreds of complains about this new eps (electric-assist power steering system) on the corollas since 2009 to current. Still no resolutions that i have found. I told the manager that it was dangerous to drive but he would not give me an even trade on any vehicle, not even a used. It is only 1 month old and he wanted to dock me $4000 dollars off what i paid for it! needless to say, the toyota dealer did not make it right. I guess i will try and check on our state lemon laws to see what can be done.
Steering wheel locked up while driving.unable to steer vehicle while car in motion for a couple of seconds while making a right and left hand turn.
I just bought a 2013 toyota corolla on friday 4/12/13 and noticed while driving off the lot the steering wheel was cocked to the left a little and if straightened the car would veer to the right. I figured i would take it in next week to get fixed but wasn't too worried about it. The next night i was driving for the first time on the freeway around 65-70 mph and felt like the car was all over the road and it was very hard to keep it straight in the lane. It felt like it was really windy and the car was being pushed left and right even if i kept the wheel straight. I immediately contacted the sales manager and told him i was taking the vehicle back the next day. I brought the vehicle in and the sales manager test drove the car with me in it and he felt the same thing i felt. The car stayed overnight until service dept was open for monday. I came to pick up the vehicle the next day and saw that the steering wheel was fixed, but once on the freeway it did the exact same thing so i took it back immediately and had the service manager test drive the vehicle, he too felt the problem and said to bring it back wednesday because a rep from toyota was coming and he'll have him take a look at it. The rep came out and said the vehicle was performing as standard per wind and road conditions and since it was designed to be a lightweight vehicle that it would feel like that. I told them i didn't feel safe in the vehicle and i no longer wanted it, the gm said to leave it another day until they can resolve the issue. When i came in the next afternoon i did a test drive with the gm and the car was pretty much fixed it still had the problem but was barely noticeable. They stated all they did was take the air in the tires down from 35 psi to 32 psi. They claimed that is all they did! so i told them i am satisfied for now but if the issue recurs i will be taking it back!

New 2013 corolla l. 1st time driving on highway. Had to constantly correct steering, felt like wind buffeting the car. Any light touch on steering wheel caused car to shift direction. At one point, the car veered into another lane with just a very light touch on the steering wheel. Now i learn about a 2010 recall, & read many complaints about fatigue from constantly handling the steering wheel, unexpected direction changes, and even accidents. Unimpressive! and dangerous!
When driving on the highway at approx. 60 mph the car wanders to the left. I could not get the car to drive straight. It kept drifting left. I held the steering wheel straight on center and the car kept drifting left.i had to hold tight to the steering and when i felt it drifting left, i had to constantly correct the steering to preventfrom going into the other lane. I bought this car brand new and it has been to the dealer 4 times for the same drifting / steering / wandering problem. The car has less than 2300 miles on it and still has the same problem. Toyota tells me that the vehicle was fully repaired and working as designed. I don't trust this vehicle and i feel that this i am not going to wait for an accident to happen.my only recourse now is the lemon law. I bought a brand new car and i want it to drive like a brand new car. I don't think that is too much to ask.
Takata car detected leak in system had it replaced an it shows same issuesteeringfails every so often have no control for a few seconds transmission slams in gear or something when going to pass
Steering wanders left to right like car is buffeted by wind. Difficult keeping in lane.

The vehicle wanders on the road very dangerously at speeds above 40 mph. This is a dangerous car that requires the driver to pay more attention to keeping the car centered in the lane leaving less time for him to be monitoring the traffic around him. I have on multiple occasions found myself crossing over into theother lane at highway speeds. Lucky for me there has been no other car directly beside me when this has occurred; otherwise, i suspect i would have hit the other car. I see that this problem has been continuously reported since 2009 and when i bought my car last month i was not informed of the complaints by dealer. This is a dangerous car that needs immediate attention to a thorough review by the nhtsa.

Since the day we leased 2013 toyota corolla july 2013, the car is all over the road. Constantly have to correct to keep in lane, buzzy, vibration.very scary in the rain and snow. Constantly tcb locks front right brake and pull car towards the ditch.had to back down a hill in the snow several times that we have driven over many years. Why would you put 55 series tire on a small car like this unless to cover up steering issues. We have 4 blizzack new snow tires and still scary to drive. Never had this problem with any of our other 16 prior toyota's. Complained to dealer and was told all within specs, get used to new technology.spoke with toyota factory representative on 02/27/2014 again told the same thing, they would look into it, "never heard" of any steering issues with this car. No anti sway bar on any corolla now, but a $400 option if you want to have them upgrade it!we originally bought for college bound teenager, now sits in driveway because it is not safe. Help please!
Knocking , rattlng, on rough street, 4 door, le, in motion, started about 6 months ago. Scary
After making a right coming off interstate 95, the steering wheel locked up and would not straighten up.it caused the loss of control of the car; the car then went over the median which caused it to blow out the tire, destroy the rim and damage the axle, at minimum.
Difficult to steer at highway speeds. The vehicle pulls to the left and it's terrifying trying to drive even short distances on the highway or surface streets with an elevated mphvalue. If i do not actively keep my steering wheel turning towards the right, i will surely crash into a vehicle in the next lane. Extremely unsafe!
Lately about two weeks ago while coming home from grocery shopping car suddenly showing the signals and steering wheel getting jammed. I was pull over to the curbside and checked nothing abnormal is found. It was hard to steering wheel to maneuver right and left, specially at the park position and slow speed turning.i went to my local repair shop and see what happens, mechanic explain might be problem with the steering rack in pinion. I was installed but still showing the warning signs and nothing got better.. Mechanic failed to fixed the problem and reimburse the money.. Queens jamaica ny. City streets.*dtconsumer stated vehicle was taken to local dealer and was repaired.

When driving on highway at 55 mph, the vehicle sways and drifts by itself to the right lane or somtimes the left lane without much driver effort. I feel that the car is being pushed off the road as im driving.i have notified my dealer millennium. Toyota in hempstead ny but they cant seem to find the problem. It seems though on your website that there were multiple complaints about the 2013 toyota corolla and this particular. Problem.the problem is with the electric power steering system. Toyota 2 times said they cant find the problem and said they just adjusted tire inflation to 32 psi.when i brought vechicle the first day, it had 50 psi on each tire and the dealer asked me if the tpms light came on and i said no. Im surprised. That the dealer has no info on this steering problem. Im afraid for my life and my family that we may die in this car. The dealer is completely ignoring the problem. I even saw a class action lawsuit online regarding this issue. How come toyota is not advising there customers of this problem. We the customer buys toyots for reliability and safety and i dont know if i will ever be safe in a toyota corolla again.
The contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla. While driving 35 mph, the steering seized without warning and excessive force was needed to maneuver the vehicle. The failure occurred on several occasions. I bought my 2013 corolla new several hundred miles from home.driving it home, it was impossible not to notice that it was very twitchy or darty when trying to keep it going straight down the road.keeping the car going straight was a constant chore- my previous 2005 corolla was excellent in that regard- no problems, just like every car or truck i've driven in my life, going back to late 1960's designs to my 2005 corolla.that week, i made an appointment at my local toyota dealer to fix what i figured was a mis-adjusted toe on the front.they said that everything was within spec and that it drove just like the other corollas on the lot.through some internet searching, i learned that my previous 2005 corolla had hydraulic power assist steering and that this new one had electric power steering.i can't believe that toyota would release this design into production- my toyota loyalty has been shattered.worse, there is a tsb to fix it, but only if one owns a 2009 or 2010.yet my 2013 is still plagued with this issue as toyota didn't change anything in production as far as i can tell by how my 2013 drives and the information i have come across on the internet.
The contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla. While driving 75 mph and attempting to make a right turn off the highway, the steering wheel became difficult to turn and seized. The contact engaged the brakes, but lost control of the vehicle and drove through a field. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The failure mileage was 40,000.
I leased my corolla on 3/2013. I noticed that i had trouble steering the car right away, but just thought that it was because i wasn't used to the new electric steering. On the first 5000 mile maintenance i asked the adviser to have the alignment and tires checked. They said nothing was wrong with it. 10,000 mile maintenance i requested the same because the car is a chore to control on the freeway. The car wanders all over the road, sometimes to the left, and then to the right. It's nearly impossible to keep the straight on the road. They said they checked everything, and the car performs the same as all the other corolla's. I called back the next week and they they'll have to begin charging me now, because the warranty will not allow for another alignment. I've been driving for over 30 years. I've never had an accident, and i've only been issued 1 traffic violation ticket since i obtained my license in 1980. This car has caused me to have several extremely close calls. The 2013 toyota corolla is dangerous. I drive about 15 miles each way to work and back. I've had to resort to taking side streets to avoid the freeway. We have family in other states but we can't drive there in the corolla because the corolla will probably cause us to have an accident before we reach our destination. My wife and i have always bought toyota's, and this is my fourth corolla. I bought my first corolla in 1982, but i've begun the arbitration process for them to buy back this piece of junk. If that doesn't work, i'll use the lemon law. Shame on you toyota for delivering such a dangerous automobile, and then doing nothing to remedy the situation.
The contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla. While driving approximately 35 mph, the steering lost power and caused the vehicle to veer left. As a result, the vehicle crashed into a guardrail and traveled down an embankment. The front driver's side of the vehicle was damaged. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. The driver sustained injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard. The contact did not know if the vehicle was totaled. The dealer was not called. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided the contact with a case number. The failure mileage was approximately 40,140.
2013 toyota corolla wanders at highway speeds. It is very difficult to keep the vehicle moving straight down the road. Scarry to drive on a two lane highway next to a rig due to swaying and instability .correction in the steering wheel results in the vehicle drifting into the adjacent lanes. This steering issue makes the car unsafe at highway speeds. The alignment on the vehicle was checked and is all within tolerances. The tires are brand new and properly inflated

The collison caused her vehicle to spin and crash into a steel light pole head on. The air bag system failed to deploy and the seatbelt system failed to work properly causing her head to hit the steering wheel . The vehicle sustained over $8000.00 in damage including frame damage.

The contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla. While driving approximately 40 mph, the rear end of the vehicle began to pull to the right. The failure recurred most frequently when driving in rainy weather or snow covered roads. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer six times. A four wheel alignment and a wheel balance were performed however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 100.
I was driving toyota corolla 2013 andi was 65 m/p on highway and the transmission failed (broken) i had only 39,000 miles.i had to minion something about that because i almost died, the car is unsafe and dangerous,i went to the dealership , they said you warrenty is expired and they could not fixe the car, less i renew my warranty on 36000 milles for $1000 or 90,000 miles for $3000, since i couldn't pay for that i took it to regular shop and i fixe it. After i called toyota customer experience center to open a claim, they said they could not help me because it did not show on record that i took the car to the dealer ship, andthey decided to notrembourse you for any money i spend to fixe it. The funny part, the dealer said they guarantee 36000 miles and toyota said the guarantee is for 60,000 milesand my car was broken and i had only 39000 miles.

Takata recall notice nothing happened
Toyota recall: takata air bag inflatorpurchased dec 2 2016at ron carter cadillac. At time of purchase i asked if it had any takata parts. Answer was no. No mention of inflators being takata!called toyota to see if it had any recalls last spring and i was told i would receive any recall notice... I asked again if any takata parts and was told no again but would be contacted if so in future if recalls. So toyota did know they were on my vehicle ! i am disabled from back injury permanently and need to have a safe car. Please contact me at [xxx] for further information.. There has been so much about takata airbags and inflators - how can they hide information and give out false info when questioned !!! fortunately no incidents so far !!!i will update my complaint when i can. Will put in today's date as recall was on cbs news this evening 1/9/2018.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
My daughter has the 2013 toyota corolla and she was in a serious situation. She was followed by 3 people and when she stopped and parked her car the doors automatically unlocked and before she knew it someone opened her door and dragged her out of the car and she was jumped on by 3 people. Because her doors automatically unlocked my daughter was seriously injured. If the doors did not automatically unlock when you put the car in park she could have been safe. I have two corollas. One i drive 2016 and one my daughter drives 2013 and they both have the same issue. I think their should be a recall because this is a serious issue. My daughter could have been beaten to death because her doors automatically unlocked but she was seriously injured. I will be filling more complaints until this is resolved.

Air conditioning system catastrophic failure
Trunk latch is defective - randomly opens. Had it fixed for $350. Opens when driving and when parked. Toyota dealership said it was a recall with the 2009 model. Happened twice on 12/29/17 and had it fixed on 01/16/17.

Driving on freeway and a/c completely stopped working on my 2013 toyota corolla.will not work again. Took to dealer who stated no longer under warranty. Took to mechanic who found the a/c compressor solenoid is not working.also there is no communication with the a/c amplifier. They suspect a faulty a/c amplifier and may need programming. Estimated $1600-$1700 to fix.

Speed control disengages and decelerates rapidly without warning on highway upgrades at approximately 65 mph. This model is a manual 5 speed. When the dealer was contacted, their service manager responded that they had received several similar complaints on this model, but that toyota had not provided any updated program to correct the problem at this time. The deceleration is not a slowing based on weight, but a total disengagement of the control, which is likely to result in a rear-end collision from behind should any vehicle, regardless of size, be following at even a recommended distance. This has happened in this vehicle on 4 occasions, and from what the dealership acknowledged is a chronic problem, inherent to the 2013 toyota corolla and other models that share the same program.

I bought a new toyota corolla 2013 car on november 14, 2012 from the toyota of manhattan dealership located on 645 11th ave new york ny 10036. In a month, i discovered that the top segment of the rear defogger is not defogging the rear window. It is absolutely impossible to use a rear view mirror because of that when the rear window is fogged. It is because the rear head rests obstruct the bottom and the middle parts of the rear window, and the only part of the rear window without the obstruction is a top part, which is not being cleared by the threads of the defogger. It is very unsafe to drive the car that has this flaw.
