Takata recall: the takata airbags in my vehicle are dangerous and lethal. I've been asking toyota for replacements for more than a year, and my dealer keeps putting me off. Other manufacturers have offered replacements as far back as a year and a half ago. Toyota won't respond. I've also requested a loaner vehicle until toyota is prepared to install the airbag replacements. They claim they put me on a waiting list for a loaner 6 months ago, and every time i check, they tell me i'm still on the waiting list. In the meantime i'm driving around a dangerous vehicle.
Takata recalli received a recall notice in february. I called my local toyota dealership, and they informed me that i would receive the next notice within 3-4 weeks, however, i have not received such notice or any updates regarding this matter. I have not been able to operate my vehicle with an occupant in the passenger seat for nearly 2 months. Toyota has not dealt with this in a timely manner, although they informed me otherwise. It has been 2 months when they claimed it would take no longer than 3-4 weeks.
A notice was sent to me regarding the recall in january.it is now 8 months and a solution for the defection item has not been found. This is concerning.does toyota have a date in which they plan to remedy the situation. [xxx] [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).'
I got a new toyota corolla and have been the only owner of this car. I got a notice in january 2017 about an airbag recall for the passenger front seat . I am writing now june10,2017 as this problem has not been resolvedin 6 months !! the suggestion for me was to not let anyone use the passenger seat until the problem was fixed. .6 months of not safely using my own car is causing me undue stressin the use of my vehicle . If a product (any other product you can think of ) is not working and has a safety issue, the product is returned !!!!to the company at their expense . I pay for car insurance on a car that has an issuein my mind , the problem needs to be fixed immediately , 6 months to replace an airbag ??? pleaseuse my letter to get the company to fix the problem .

Takata recall
Takata recall:in the middle of february 2017, toyota sent me a recall notice with warning not to let anyone ride in the front passenger seat but had no solution and would let me know when they did. Nhtsa phone line says the recall also involves the driver side, which makes me a canidate for possible death!it has been 9 months and now the airbag company is filling chapter 11. I have not received any notice from takata for settlement.

Takata recallunable to have airbag replaced as dealer says they are unavailable.
Takata recalli received a recall notice about the takata airbag and i spoke eddie, the night service manager at marina del rey toyota and he says there is nothing he can do right now because there is no part number for the replacement. Toyota does not have a remedy. The notice says there's a risk that "in the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, striking the vehicle occupants, and result in serious injury or death."this recall was issued on january 9, 2017, it's almost two months old and i just received the notice. On top of that it's completely unacceptable that toyota does not have a remedy after almost 2 months.i would like a replacement and fix of this issue asap. Please help.

Tamara recall - i feel that the airbag recall is taking to long. The recall is from back in january and the notice that they sent says not to operate the vehicle with no one in the front seat. That is a huge inconvience that still is not ready to be fixed. I am just frustrated because it has been since january and the remedy is still not available for my car in september. I no longer feel safe in my car and just want this taken care of. It is just ridiculous that i should have to wait this long to get the airbags fixed.

I'm having an issue with the airbag system. There are multiple error codes and the dealership can't figure it out. They think it's the airbag module. Toyota has had multiple issues with the airbag system not just the takata. But this issue it disables all the airbags and beeps to buckle your seatbelt. There seems to be a common issue so i'd like you to look into it.

Takata recall. Since being notified of the recall, my toyota dealership has told me that they are still waiting on the parts to fix this problem. This is ridiculous. One of the service people told me that the recall was not a problem, "as long as you don't get into a car accident." what kind of response is that? one cannot control whether an accident occurs or not. Toyota does not seem concerned with the safety of their customers. The solution is to not have anyone sit in the passenger seat until the faulty airbags are fixed? this is unacceptable.
Takata recall. I was alerted months ago about my airbags being defective. I checked today and there is still no remedy. If my airbags are dangerous, then this should have been fixed already. What is taking so long? this is unacceptable.

As i was driving on the freeway, another vehicle lost control in front of me and i collided with it. The front of my car impacted the driver-side/rear-end of the other vehicle. I was going approximately 60-65 mph. I was wearing my seat belt, but my airbags did not deploy. As a result of the airbag not deploying, i have pain, tenderness, and soreness on my chest, neck, and back from either hitting the steering wheel or the seat belt crossing my body. Takata recall. Yesterday, i received the notice from toyota regarding my vehicle's possible defective takata airbag. It recommends that until toyota can replace the airbag, that i should allow anyone to ride in the front passenger seat. Toyota's recommendation is totally unacceptable and should not waive its responsibility to its customers. Toyota has known about the takata airbag issue since at least 2015, so it is unclear why they cannot aggressively replace their customers' airbag immediately two years later. To suggest i should not use one of the seats in my vehicle, particularly with a family of four, seems completely unreasonable. I'm very disappointed in toyota, and i hope that the company will make more of an effort to take care of their customers in the future.

"takata recall"i received a notice about the recall and contacted my local toyota dealer. I was told that they are right now taking names and numbers and people are being put on a list and would be contacted when my name came up to schedule an appointment. I asked what was the list for she told me this is the process they are doing right now to schedule appointments. Last year the same issue happened with my honda civic and the honda dealer let me know that they had to order the part and would contact me to schedule an appointment. I was never put on a list for an appointment. I am not happy with the service i am getting for a car my son is driving around in.. I contacted the toyota customer experience center and spoke to caleb he was no help and did not really offer any. I explained to him that i was trying to find a dealer to set up an appointment not be put on a list he kept repeating the same thing to me i guess he got frustrated with me because he than told me thank you for call in. Still i have gotten no assistance.

Takata recall: i am writing regarding the timeframe which toyota has given for repair of my airbag. After receiving the notice in february 2017 that my vehicle was part of the recall, toyota informed me that i would not have the airbag repaired until december 2017. Additionally, when i contacted toyota about the replacement airbag or repair, i was told the parts will not be available until december 2017 but that i should not have anyone ride in my front seat until after the airbag was replaced/repaired. I feel this is an inconvenience particularly since i have to make payments on my vehicle that i am unable to fully use and enjoy. Thankfully, i have not been involved in any accidents but as the driver i am very concerned about my safety as well.

Does this mean i should be going to replace the airbag, and counting on getting reimbursed?airbagrecall.com tells me to contact a toyota dealer, which i plan to do, but the lack of clear instructions that has persisted for months is not acceptable.

Takata recall!
Takata recall:the defective airbag issue has been known for multiple years yet no dealership is able to replace/repair the airbags i am told because the manufacturer has not made the parts yet.also, i cannot find any information online or through a dealership that indicates when such parts might be made and the service scheduled.i continue to receive notices in the mail that this is a dangerous defect and could potentially cause serious harm or death.my 16 year old son drives this vehicle.i would like the situation remedied as soon as possible.
Takata recall i feel uncomfortable driving around my car knowing my passengers are unsafe. Although it is recommended for passengers to not use the front seat, it is frustrating knowing i am paying for a car that cannot be used completely. I cannot avoid using the front seat at times because i usually drive around with my friends or family and they might not all fit in the back seat at times. This is also concerning because children sit in the front seat at times and i do not want to be putting their lives at risk. It is not fair i have to continue to pay each month for my car when the problem will not be resolved until december.also, i have had the airbag light go on while driving on the highway. This has occurred while no passengers are present. I am not sure if this is related to the recall, but it brings me concern. A few of my friends know of the takata recall, and refuse to sit in the front seat of my car. Why should i be paying for a car that puts others at risk? as careful of a drive one might be, any accident can happen from here to december.
Takata recall - waiting for replacement since fall 2016. Contacted local dealer on 6/2/17 and advised that part was not available until anticipated december date. The replacement part had "not been released". They were still doing 2010 vehicles. We can only drive it without anyone sitting in the front passenger side. Reporting complaint. Guessing on date, since this is a nationwide recall. Advised to file a complaint for class action.

This solution needs to be fixed or a continuous update about the matter is needed.
Takata recall - airbags should be replaced and have not been contacted, recall active since jan 2017, was in an accident on 5/15/2017, airbags were never deployed but am just providing that to provide complete disclosure
Taka recall. I recently received notification from toyota concerning the safety call on my front passenger airbag. I do not feel the manufacturer promptly notified consumers of the issue and it appears they do not have a solution for consumers.
Nadie se ha puesto en contacto conmigo para reparar los air bags
Takata inflators.toyota sent a notice about the recall months ago (and i'm sure knew about it for even longer than that). They have not made any repairs. The notice they sent suggests not using the front passenger seat which is completely impractical and impossible for us and, i imagine, most other people who own a car that is subject to recall. Also, if the airbags are problematic, then it must also be dangerous for the driver to continue using the car. Toyota needs to fix these airbags immediately.
This car was involved in an accident and was totaled about 4 years ago. So this car is no longer in use. Please remove this car from your records.
Takata recall - i live in florida, a high humidity area, and received a notice early 2017 regarding this recall.i was informed that it would be best for no one to ride in the passenger seat of the vehicle.several months have passed and i have not been notified of when the repairs could be made.i called the dealership where i purchased the vehicle.it seems the materials will not be available to repair the defective airbag until december of 2017, if then.this vehicle is our mode of transportation for work, visiting family and attending church.we need to be able to use the passenger seat.the amount of time it is taking to make the necessary repairs is, in my opinion, extreme.the birth of our child has increase the concern we have about riding in this vehicle. This defect has been known for over a year and efforts to make the repairs should have already been made with the number of vehicles affected.
Takata recall" they have not fixed passanger air bag in timely manner . It has been almost two years and recall incomplete and not yet available. Dealers will not make an appointment for vehicle. We live in houston a hot humid area, the vehicle is older, both putting passenger at higher risk.

Takata recall: notified recall date was january 09, 2017. It has been 230 days and a remedy is not yet available. Takata recall...i received an important safety recall saying that i am the current owner of a subject vehicle.i've tried to get this taken care of, but am told the remedy has been completed, yet i am driving around in a vehicle that is dangerous.i got the recall letter 8 months ago, and still cannot have it fixed.i am very concerned because besides myself, my children use this car and there is almost always someone in the passenger seat.how long is it going to take toyota to complete the remedy for this recall while i am still driving around in a subject vehicle for the original recall 8 months ago?this is a very dangerous situation.
Takata recall-despite numerous calls and conversations with stone mountain toyota, i have been unable to get my vehicle 's airbags replaced. I have been given appointments on november 2 and december 28 for this work to be performed, and have been told for the november date that the parts are available when they were not and the december date that they did not have enough technicians at work that day. At least 3 earlier calls to determine status of the recall were never returned and i have been lied to or ignored at every turn. In addition, i am told that the work will take at least 4 hours and that i would have to leave my car at the dealership overnight to get the work done. This is in contrast to national news reports that honda dealerships are sending technicians to customers residences if the parts needed to be changed out still and the work was done on site at the home in 10 minutes. I therefore see absolutely no justification for the demand that i either wait 4 hours or leave my vehicle overnight for stone mountain toyota to do what honda dealerships are doing in 10 minutes. The address for stone mountain toyota is 4400 us highway 78, lilburn, ga 30047, phone 770-736-0030 and my last message was left with mr. Sullivan, the service manager, but has not been returned. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide to help me expedite and rectify this issue.

Accident occurred when trying to park toyota corolla 2012 in a grass parking space.driver (me) began to brake to get into the designated parking space, the engine revved up and the vehicle accelerated (as if it has a "mind of its own") until it struck the vehicle parked in front, driver continued to apply brakes but vehicle did not stop and vehicle continued accelerating; the steering wheel turned to the right and struck another vehicle also parked.driver tried to stop the car by shifting to "parking" but it just made a loud noise and the shift gear was stuck.car was towed to the collision center of the toyota deal, and requested an inspection to check for mechanical failures.after many unsuccessful follow up calls, the collision center manager communicated on 02/07/2012 that:"there was nothing wrong with the car as they tested and they could not make the car replicate the incident,"(the collision damage repairs were finalized on 02/06/2014.)note:a recall notice was previously received for airbag sensor defect. Car was taken to the dealer for repair prior to collision.at the time of accident, airbag did not deploy.

Takata recall
I brought the vehicle in for a recall repair and it was returned damaged with a piece hanging out. The dealer admitted that they knew there was damage and opted not to tell me.i called corporate toyota and told them i was concerned the car was not safe to drive because the recall repair was not completed properly and was advised i would need to pay to have it inspected by another dealer and have the recall properly repaired, or i can take it back to the dealer that did not initially perform the repair correctly.i have no confidence that the car is safe to drive since the visible components were not installed properly. The dealer i went to has proven incapable of properly performing this repair. In summary, the recall repair was not properly performed and corporate toyota advised that i would need to pay for the repair if i take it to a reputable dealer.

The remedy is still unavailable. I realize that these recalls and fixes are not an easy task, however, i feel that this amount of time is a bit much and has turned into more than just a slight inconvenience. It was recommended that i do not operate the vehicle with an occupant in the passenger seat so i have not been able to use my car for the intended transport i purchased it for (still paying every month for). It has been ten months now since the initial notice and this is very frustrating. Traveling west, a driver had came to a complete stop in the hwy and sitting there with turn signal, i slowed down thinking she was going to turn (it appeared as though she was still moving) looked at gps screen and looked up again to see that i was going to hit the rear of her suv. Collision occurred with no air bag deployment. Had it not been for wearing a seat belt the results would have been much worse.my vehicle sustained 16,000 dollars worth of damage and was a total loss. Upon inspection both the air bag impact sensors were broken. The body shop who looked at the vehicle could not believe that the air bags did not deploy.

Takata recall. I want to know if and when my airbag inflator will be recalled.i live in new jersey, and it gets pretty hot and humid here in the summer, and cool and humid in the winter. The information provided by nhtsa and the press suggests i face the risk of a faulty exploding airbag. It seems that the recall is gambling with the odds that there is less chance of an explosion outside pr, fl, the gulf states, nc and ca. I do not like facing this risk and think nhtsa should order takata and toyota to replace my airbag inflator with safe equipment. Please let me know what you will do to provide me and all the other car owners facing this risk with a remedy. This risk is, after all, the result of intentional violations by takata and others. I just learned of this risk today in the press. Thank you.
Asi was driving on the highway, the airbag light for the driver's side lit up on the dashboard. It has never done that before; my vehicle was purchased in texas, spent some time in maryland during the winter, and now it's in vermont. During those times, this was never an issue, until now. I assume that the cold weather in vermont has something to with it and may be affecting the sensors. The total mileage on the vehicle is under 36,000.
I went to the dealer toyota carlsbad bring my car and also i call many times they don't want to fixed my car because they said i needto received a second letter remedy...my question is i received a important safety recall letter long time ago!...and i don't received a remedy letter yet...my safety is first ii need to wait one more year to received a remedy letter?

Takata recall - my complaint involves toyota's timeline for repairing the airbag issue in my 2012 corolla. According to their website my car falls in phase 4 and geographically i live in zone 3, which isn't supposed to start til after jan 2019. Toyota's temporary solution was to not have anyone ride in the front passenger seat. That's kind of an impossible solution for their 2+ year timeline. Their status chart shows they plan to have a solution ready by dec 2017 for the 2012 corolla, but they will only be installing it in cars in zone a at that time. They should be required to install the solution in all cars at the same time. If the fix exists why are they being allowed to ignore some consumers for over a year and leave them with a defective car. This doesn't seem safe to me.the nhtsa reasoning behind the zones seems a little weak. What if a consumer lived in a zone 1 state for 4-5 years and moved to a zone 3 state more recently, shouldn't their car more affected by the propellant degradation then a car that had been in zone 3 state it's whole life. Of course the opposite could be true too. People move around. Not sure if anyone there has ever lived in co, but the temp can go from 70 to snowing and freezing within a day, and back to 70 a day later. Not sure what you guys considerhigh temperature cycling, but that is more extreme then when i lived in fl.
Takata recall. Manufacturerfailed to remedy this safety recall for my vehicle
Ireceived a recall notice for the car's airbag. It has been a few months and i have not been able to schedule an appointment to remedy this recal , as it is stated in the recall notice this is an urgent safety recall. I have been to the dealer where i originally leased my care, and they are telling me this is a popular car , and that we dont have the item in stock ,the dealer also had the nerve to tell me not to drive my car untill it is fixed. This recal has been going on for a few months now and they still dont have the part to fix the problem. I have to make the payment but i should not drive it until it is fixed, this is what i have been told by toyota dealer.

I have been trying to get my airbag replaced ever since the initial recall was issued in january 2017. It is now almost 10 months later, and toyota is still unable to fix the issue. The current status (as of october 25th, 2017) is: "toyota is currently preparing the remedy for this condition and will provide additional information as it becomes available. The remedy, when available, will consist of the replacement of the airbag inflator or the airbag assembly, depending on the vehicle model."is this ever going to get fixed?

Takata recallmonths ago i was informed passenger airbag inflators may degrade after prolonged exposure to high humidity and fluctuating high temperatures, and metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, striking the vehicle occupants, and result in serious injury or death.while i appreciate that toyota has informed me they are working on a remedy, i am unable to safely transport anyone, be it my girlfriend, friends, or family, as a result of the poor manufacturing and planning of this company. I am frustrated, as high humidity and fluctuating high temperatures are not new to the planet, or to car manufacturing, and i need a replacement asap. I live in fl and have no interest in trying to rectify a fatality as a result of an untimely correction of toyota's own error. Toyota's website says to check nhtsa's website if i feel the remedy is not in a reasonable timeframe. I feel that several months is reasonable, and i'm ready for a call or letter to come in and get this taken care of. I purchased this vehicle from this manufacturer with safety and reliability as my top concern, and i need you to please hold them accountable for their promises. "reasonable timeframe" is not defined, not even by a range.

Takata recall i have received an "important safety recall" for my toyota corolla 2012 saying that there is no current remedy.information online indicates that the airbag problem was identified january 9.there is no indication of the timeframe of a remedy, and there's no offer to disconnect the passenger airbag.the letter suggests that i not allow anyone to ride in the passenger seat until i hear from them.an offer to disconnect the passenger side airbag in the interim would have made more sense.i'll be pursuing that with a local dealership, but it should have been offered considering the danger is possible "serious injury or death."

Takata recall
Takata recallas there have already been 11 verified deaths, and takata has pled guilty to deceiving the general public, i have found that my car is under this recall.however, it states that there is no fix yet.i drive my car every day to work, with my children and grandchildren.there are precious lives at stake.i need this addressed and fixed now! not later!
Tamara recall.i received a notice to not have anyone in the passenger seat until the recall is completed.i explained that the car is useless since i cannot fit me my wife and two kids in car seats into the car without using the front seat.this is ridiculous to not have a repair for a car and be told not to use a car i paid a lot of money for with no remedy from the manufacturer.
"takata recall" i was not notified by toyota about this recall until the first week of march, yet when i logged onto your site i see the recall has been known about since january.also the notice says that there is no current remedy and toyota advises to not have any passengers in my front seat until they have a remedy.as a family man, i constantly have people in all seats of my vehicle.toyota failing to offer a rental or other means to assist with protecting their customer's safety not acceptable. I do not see myself ever purchasing another toyota due to their lack of customer appreciation and focus.
Takata recalli have been waiting on this since the beginning of the year and have not heard back as to when i am going to have this safety issue addressed!!!

Takata recall issued 01/09/2017 still incomplete remedy not available as of 08/30/2017 and will contact me when available. Is nine months + timely?
Vehicle purchased in florida. Resident of iowa. Recall for airbags not considered as vehicle was in high humidity state as airbags are effected by high humidity. Passenger vehicle now down to driver only in front seating area. Not acceptable.
Takata recall - nhtsa campaign number 17v006000the airbag recall has caused significant stress in being able to safely transport any passengers in my vehicle and toyota has failed to provide any temporary remedy in regards to the airbag recall which is very unprofessional.also unprofessional is the lack of toyotas response to any of the 247 complaints (listed on this website). The recall nhtsa campaign number 17v006000 was issued january 9, 2017.it is incomprehensible that a manufacturer could not deliver replacement parts for over eight months now.we are a family of toyota owners.we have 6 toyotas, all of which are different models.the real test of a manufacturer is the reliability of the product.toyota has failed to resolve this recall timely.we will be filing to join in the class action settlement, however, there are some things that money can not buy.inconvenience is one of them.while i understand manufacturing processes may need to be evaluated and companies are consistently improving products, it still remains that toyota has not resolved this timely and will result in a loss of reputation.

Takata recall- a takata airbag inflator safety recall for my vehicle has been issued and the remedy is currently being prepared. After contacting my local dealership [toyota of tampa bay] i was informed that the best estimate for when information about the remedy for my vehicle will be available is december 2017. The recall states that the airbag inflators are faulty and capable of rupturing and causing metal fragments to pass through the airbag cushion material and strike occupants. The shrapnel could cause serious injury or death. My vehicle has been in florida where i reside since i purchased the car and there has been exposure to moisture in the environment and fluctuating high temperatures.i drive this vehicle regularly to transport my family and i fear that in the event of an accident my family and i will not be a) protected from the airbags installed and b) [we] are at risk for being injured by the airbags.

Takata recallmy car's replacement airbags have not been replaced.i have checked w the local clermont fla toyota dealership several times.i have received warnings for over a year in the mail.they tell me the replacements are not yet available.
I am just trying to follow in what matter of time is this issue going to be solve,? since i bought this car is been 3 notifications recall about the air bags specific on my car, even when my insurance ask me to use the little device to see how is my driving and all the things the little device store, i was not enable to finish the 90 days they ask me to use it due to the airbags light will be blink the entire time it was running and don't mention the anoying alert the seal belt warning sign even though was buckle . I am concern about the air bags issue , i still dont have an issue where i need to be thinking on using my insurance company .
Takata recall. Recall came out in january and inflator still not replaced. My 4 seat call has been changed to a 3 seat car. This is not why i bought this car. I want the inflator replaced asap.
Takata recall- i do not think it is ethical for toyota to not have the replacement parts available in a timely manner.i received notice on 3/3/17 but there are no available parts at my local dealer.i have been advised that perhaps there will be in april.it is a burden to not be able to put someone in the passenger seat. In addition, it seems that if activating the passenger side air bag can cause metal fragments to strike the passenger the fragments could also travel and strike the driver and/or other car occupants.

"takata recall"i would like to know what i can do now, about my vehicle. I don't want to take any chances on waiting for when toyota decides to finally do a voluntary recall on my vehicle. Having to use the vehicle. Daily with a faulty, and potential deadly airbag system, and not being able to trade in, or sell at this point
The driver fell asleep at the wheel, awoke and tried to correct his lane position.upon his attempt, the car could not be stabilized or controlled.this was a front end crash at a speed of approximately 50 - 55 mph going through a chain link fence, hitting hundreds of stacked lobster crates (like hitting a brick wall). The car was completely totaled, the driver had seat belt on.not one air bag deployed.the driver side mirror smashed through the driver side window and a piece of wooden lobster crate with nails came through the front windshield and into the vehicle.this caused serious injury to the driver, sever facial and elbow lacerations, and major amounts of glass fragments in his body.the driver was the only individual in the vehicle.
Fred haas keeps telling me the part is not in to fix the passenger airbag and wont be ready till the fiirst of the year. This is a safety issue and not acceptable but yet they are fixing other cars. Again not acceptable. I want my air bag fixed. I am not sure of the date i got the recall letter

Takata recall - after i called the dealership and looked on the website there will be no remedy until dec. 2017. So, i am not able to fully use my vehicle, but more importantly the airbag issue is dangerous for me as the driver, if the passenger airbag deploys.the mental fragments can fly and hit me or anyone in my back sit! this is a6 from the recall website part of the answer-further, nhtsa has concluded that the non-desiccated frontal takata airbag inflators do not pose an unreasonable risk to safety until they reach a certain level of propellant degradation, which is the result of time, temperature and environmental moisture, which depends on the vehicle's location.-how is toyota 100% confident that this airbag will not deploy when someone is not sitting in the front seat?- there is unknown risk involved according to a6. -how can they guarantee fragments will not go flying and potential harm me or a passenger in the back seat ?i drive my car to work almost 2 to 3 times a week that is an hour and 15mins away and i do not feel comfortable driving this car and waiting until dec for a remedy and i am paying for a car that i don't have a full usage of!! i think it is unreasonableand not safe to wait until then!

I believe there is a serious safety issue related to the placement of the air bag sensor. My wife and a co-workers wife were involved in an accident that severely deformed the front of a 2012 toyota corolla without triggering the airbag sensor. Upon inspection, it appears that the portion of the car that the airbag sensor is attached to, moved over a foot and a half without triggering the air bag sensor. As a former ase master technician and technical expert for the better business bureau, this may be a serious design flaw that could endanger the health and safety of other 2012 corolla owners.i file a complaint with toyota usa and i am waiting for their response.
Takata recalli am frustrated by the amount of time it is taking to get our passenger airbag replaced!it has been more than an inconvenience to not have passengers in the front seat.i also have not been assured by toyota that in a crash the rear passengers might not be hit by shrapnel resulting from a defective passenger airbag.why is toyota/takata not paying for substitute rental cars while we await the fix?

Takata recall 17v006. I received a notice of the recall from my local dealer (lynch toyota) in march 2017. I have contacted lynch toyota in manchester, ct about every 2 months, but the solution is not yet available. My transportation is fully dependent on my vehicle and so i expose myself to severe injury daily. My vehicle was also purchased in puerto rico and run in the most humid and hot part of the west coast of the island for one year, which aggravates the situation greatly since probability of failure of the air bags is increased with humidity and heat. I fear for my safety every day, but i cannot afford to pause my life indefinitely either because this important safety feature has not been corrected.

I was involved in accident where i was t-boned on the driver side and pushed from the traffic lane onto sidewalk into telegram pole. The impact was so forceful that the driver side window exploded but was held together due to tine on window. Outside mirror shattered and glass came into car. I had seat belt on but somehow managed to bump my head on the windshield which was cracked. Suffered a mild concussion from ct scan. So from the front driver side, bumper and passenger side received extensive damage which made the car undrivable. During the course of the forceful hit and being pushed onto the sidewalk into the telegram pole, none of the air bags deployed. In this vehicle there are side curtain airbags which i feel should have deployed due to the impact of the other vehicle (1998 durango).would like some research done before i take further civil action in regards to the defective air bags. The car has been totaled due to the extensive damage and the bending of the frame on the car.

2012 toyota corolla. Consumer writes in regards to takata airbag issues. *ldthe consumer stated that it is unacceptable for the front passenger seat to not be able to be occupied with no solution to repairing the air bag.*ln
Takata recall: looks like nhtsa determined on jan 9, 2017 that my car toyota corolla was unsafe to drive. I was notified only in march, 2017 of this safety issue. This is not timely notification. Further, i need the passenger seat to be safe -- and toyota has refused to provide a timeframe or a loaner vehicle during the time that this car is not fixed. This is unacceptable. Also, looking online, looks like takata airbags have had issues for multiple years and no effort was undertaken to evaluate safety of my vehicle before jan 2017 which in it of itself is very concerning. I wanted to sell my car in this month and replace another car, and due to this recall, i can no longer sell the car due to drop in value. I'd like the manufacturer to repair the car within 1-2 weeks or purchase the car back from me. Nothing has happened to the car or no accident has happened.
The contact owns a 2012 toyota corolla. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 38,700.
Takata recall: while we appreciate being contacted about the potentially lethal safety hazard from the takata air bags in our toyota, it's unacceptable to be told not to have anyone sit in the front passenger seat until a fix is made available. The dangers of the takaga bags have been known for many months, if not more than a year. Why is it taking so long to arrange for a replacement? no time frame has been provided as to how long we must wait, while we can't carry around a front passenger. My wife and i commute to work everyday. One of us is supposed to sit in the back seat? we have children we must taxi around. Since most cars are not affected by this recall, then surely there are other, safe air bags available, which toyota could install immediately. When a safety recall occurs, you should be able to take your car in right away and get it fixed, not wait some undetermined time down the road. Why isn't toyota required to resolve this matter right away?
Takata recall - my complaint is that we are still not able to get the airbag fixed by toyota after over a year. They say it will be december 2017 before it can be fixed!

Takata recall - toyota announced this recall in january 2017. I received a notification at that time informing me that another notification would be sent to me when the remedy becomes available. The remedy is to replace my airbag inflator or my airbag assembly, depending on my vehicle, at no charge to me. It is now september 2017 and i haven't received any additional information. This is terrible customer service on behalf of toyota. I expect a replacement of the affected airbag or monetary compensation based on the risk this poses to the passengers that ride in my vehicle.
I received a notice then a card stating to check my vin number for recalls in which i did and it told me i have one regarding airbags.i haven't had a accident yet.

Takata recallwe received an airbag recall early spring of 2017 around march and we have contacted our local toyota dealership to see when we could take the vehicle in for repairs and have been told that they would contact us when the new inflators would be in stock to do the repairs. It is now august 10 2017 and we still have not heard from them. This is taking a very long time and i am having to put extra miles on our other vehicle to go on family trips/outings because we do not want any passengers in the front seat due to the defect.

"takata recall".my vehicle is in the this recall and i have gone to the dealer and they said that it wasn't a remedy yet for the air?i have waited a while.i was wondering when toyota is going to find a remedy for this situation?
Takata recall. Was told by our local toyota dealer that there was an airbag recall for our car. It's been almost a year since this recall notice and we have yet to receive a loaner car or money for a rental car. We have contacted the dealer multiple times about fixing the airbag in our car. Each time the dealer says the manufacturer is unable to resolve the problem.

Takata recall, i have a recall notice dated january 9, 2017, and our local toyota dealer with garage is unable to fix this due to unavailability of a remedy.
Takata recalli live in mississippi (a very humid climate) and purchased this car in florida (another very humid climate), which makes the takate recall especially dangerous for me and my family. This car is our family's primary car, and we can't go "until further notice" without someone riding in the passenger's seat. We need it fixed immediately, or for toyota to pay for a safe rental until they can fix the problem.
I was told 10 months ago that the air bag must be replaced. It is dangerous to the driver and passengerdealer was notified and has not received the required parts
Airbag recall. I received a recall notice back in february of 2017 stating that my airbags were being recalled due to the possibility of a defect in manufacturing that may lead to shrapnel being fired out during airbag deployment, which may seriously injure or kill passenger. The letter also states that i would receive follow up when the part would be replaced, and in the meantime, to not let anyone sit in the passenger seat. It has been 6 months and i have not heard a word. I drive a corolla, not allowing someone to sit in the passenger seat is not really a solution.
Takata recall.i would just really like to know how long i have to wait to have this fixed.it's totally unreasonable to drive with no passengers for a super long time.
My 2012 toyota corolla has issues with the electric locks.when i try unlocking my vehicle using the keypad or the electric locks within the vehicle, it simply does not work on my two front doors despite having electric locks in my vehicle.my research of other customers' issues online reveal similar issues to mine.(see https://www.quora.com/the-electronic-lock-unlock-on-the-passenger-door-of-my-toyota-corolla-has-ceased-to-operate-and-i-have-to-operate-it-manually-how-do-i-fix-it-myself; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxh0itv4_nc; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjefb1qutvi; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvb63ky1lm8.)i am concerned about my safety because if i get in an accident and cannot unlock the doors because of the faulty door locks, i could be seriously injured and die.this same concern extends to my passengers.this is a serious safety concern that needs addressed, especially considering the recurring and consistent instances of this issue in toyota vehicles.i look forward to comments regarding the overall safety concerns relating to toyota vehicles and their door lock issues.thank you.
Approximately 10 working days have past after arbitration of the eps(electric power steering) of my 2012 toyota corolla s in which today in the mail came the denial. I entered into a claim to have don mcgill toyota of houston purchase this car back.please everyone, the eps system is not a component you have to adjust your level of driving experience to suit theirs. The eps is unsafe and will cause an accident, it's a shame that a death or bloodshed is the only means by which toyota will open their eyes! sadly though it is often how the consumer at the end of the day has his voice heard..the steering system on this vehicle can be down right dangerous! you are foolish to buy this car and this is my lesson learned. Heed this warning for anyone wanting to purchase this automobile.i am no longer a loyal toyota customer and the care at which those that represent the automaker afford their customers.i look forward to the day i can rid my hands of this potentially lethal automobile with it's uncontrollable steering system.
Has been happening for the last 6 months or so. The electronic locks on both front doors only work sporadically. Their issues started happening at the same time.operating the locks manually is fine. It's the electronic controls that often don't work, whether by keychain or controls on the door. The rear doors work as expected most of the time.i took it to the dealership to have it looked at, figuring that it was a problem with the electrical system considering both failed at once. They mentioned that the rear actuators are fine, but due to the way they are wired with their front counterparts, occasionally the faulty front ones will block enough voltage from reaching the the rear ones.for $113, they determined that the door lock actuators need replacing, for $1,100+, with the following part numbers:#69040-0c050 - drivers door lock actuator#69030-0c050 - passenger door lock actuatori declined to have it fixed, as it seems to work manually for now. It's odd to me that both parts failed at the same time.
While driving northbound on interstate i-75 home during rush hour in the metro-detroit area, the vehicle sped up in excess of 90mph! i almost caused a collision. The gas pedal did not react to my foot not even being on the pedal! i braked and pumped the brake to only control my speed. When i finally got the vehicle to park, the engine was still running at a highrate like the engine was reacting to pressure on the gas pedal. The car smelled like smoke from the brake pad. If it wasn't for the brake pad, i might of been more severely injured or worse. I plan to take the vehicle back to the dealership and see what they can do. But please, please, please help my family and i out.....we havea 2014 corolla vin # [xxx] ,another 2008 corolla vin # [xxx] , and just recently a 2014 toyota rav4 vin # [xxx] ............it was a very scary ordeal....i'm very concerned for the well being of my family driving these vehicles. Air bag light came on dashboard as well as passenger seat belt light continuously beeping to buckle seat belt. Dealer was unable to identify the problem. Dealer does not seem to be 100% certain what the issue is and is replacing parts at customer's expense.

Ignition key gets extremely hot during normal operation in normal conditions and normal external temperatures. The key gets too hot to remove from the ignition after several hours of driving between va and fl or fl and va.issue has happened while driving between va and md/dc or within va n to s. Key gets so hot the only way to remove from the ignition is with the key ring.issue happens on both keys.issue happens all year round and worse in summer months.
The component/system is known in the industry as electric power sterring(eps).i purchased my new corolla s on 26 march 2012. I traded in my 2009 toyota corolla base that did not have eps. My corolla s was ordered and i waited approx 2 months before it arrived. I did not test drive the 2012 model(i trusted the model) and have never driven a car with eps to my knowledge.since i am a prior owner of a corolla i can write this with very good credibility. I started noticing this over steerage as i began to drive the car at length and distance and speeds up to and over the limits here in texas. This includes my wife as well. Here on this form i have entered two dates but this has been from day 1. At higher speeds it is much more evident, at lower speeds not as noticeable but now my mind is telling me to be careful. The speed i listed here on this form is only an example i really wanted to just enter all if i could. I get the feeling i have no control over the steering system. It's far too sensitive. I feel i have to hold less the steering wheel to keep from compensating for any slight deviation as the system really does what it's seems to do on it's own. This is disturbing and quite dangerous! i delivered my car 04 may to the service dept. To see if they could fix the problem. Yesterday 05 may on a stretch of open highway i exceeded the texas posted speed limit to see what effects would take place. This overage gets amplified! this may cause a serious accident! i feel i have to relearn how to steer a car, is this possible? please act on this now!
I was driving around one day with my windows down, and all of a sudden it started raining, i went to roll my windows up and surprisingly they didn't work. None of them. When i got back to my house and parked i tried to see if it was a fuse problem but no such luck. The lock/unlock buttons wouldn't work either. A few days later i drove my car again and the windows rolled up about half way until they froze up and didn't work any more. Now, whenever i'm driving they spontaneously decide to work. I can't park anywhere for too long because my windows are stuck rolled down and anyone could break into my car.besides that one time it rained i have never let my side panels get wet, the windows malfunctioned before it had rained. In addition to the windows, my trunk also decided it wasn't going to work. Originally the latch had gotten stuck and i'm not sure how long it had been that way because i don't often use my trunk. But one day, parked at safewayi tried to pop the trunk but it was stuck. Finally i got my dad to help and we got it open. However, now it refuses to stay locked. It will stay closed until i go over a bump and then it pops open and it's really dangerous because i can't see in my rear view mirror. I have tried locking it with the key but that doesn't work either. This was a new 2012 car so i was confused as to how i spent $20,000 and got a defective car! it's pretty embarrassing to drive it around not to mention it's not safe. I have had a few of my mechanic friends look at it hoping we could fix the problem by replacing the fuse but it just didn't work.
Horn only works when the steering wheel is turned to the right or left and won't work when the wheel is straight. No matter if the car is moving or notthe problem is fixed by replacingthe clock spring, a lot of people had this issue in corolla (2010 -2012)
My car steering is too loose, i float into other lanes, can't turn a corner safely or freeway onramp.the car blows in the wind, blows into other lanes.cannot drive in the wind on the highway.the wheels slip whenever it is wet,and traction control does'nt seem to control it.cant drive in wind or corner at all.
"takata recall" i was involved in an accident where i was rear-ended by a speeding vehicle and knocked into a vehicle in front of me.i was stopped at the time of impact on a 4-lane roadway in a business district where the speed limit is 35 mph.the vehicle that hit me was speeding.no airbags deployed.
My car is equipped with a 2zr-fe engine and it is known issue for all those engines as it exhibit a mil "on" with dtc p219a (bank 1air-fuel ratio imbalance) present.same issue with most 2012-2014 corolla which has above engine plus 2012-2013 matrix (toyota) vehicles this is very dangerous as whole engine vibrats and it makes trac off plus car will breakdown any time on the road way resulting critical situations
I have experienced this since the beginning of the purchase. I use the air condition. If i am done, i turn the ac off. After using the ac, there is a foul odor that arises. I have tried to open up the vents. I have checked underneath the car. I have opened the front where it leads to the cabin filter. I have changed the cabin filter several times. The odor still persists. The only thing that the car dealers have told me to do was to run the heater after using the ac. It is redundant if i have to run the heater in a hot day.
While waiting for the traffic light to change and my foot on the brakes, the car suddenly accelerated and despite shifting to park and pulling on the emergency brake the car continued to rev very high for several minutes. Just prior to acceleration, the car's brakes became very soft and sunk all the way to the floor of the car as if someone had depressed the power in the brake line. I turned off the engine and waited for about 2 minutes and restarted the car. The engine raced again at very high speeds with the emergency brake on and the car set at "park." i turned the car off again and waited five minutes. The car started normally and i then called my wife to pick me up. She drove the car back home and noticed the brakes were very mushy and she felt a slight acceleration. We took it to our toyota dealership since it was still under warranty and they found nothing wrong with the car and asserted that i depressed both the brake and the gas pedal at the same time, which is utterly ridiculous.we have owned the car for 18 months and nothing like this has ever happened. There were more than five witnesses to this as i had blocked traffic at the light's intersection while other cars went around me while the car was racing. I have filed an incident report with toyota but it does not look as if anything will be done with the unintended acceleration issue. I am a former lawyer and i take my complaints very seriously. Please help.

I was going to park my car in an empty parking spot, was just in idle speed putting the car into the parking space when all of it sudden the car started accelerating by itself. Because of the acceleration my car hit the car that was park in front of me, the acceleration was so sudden and it pick up enough speed and force to move the park car three to five inches from its resting point. That is how the accident happen. Also the airbags did not open when my car hit the other car.

While making a left hand turn off of a busy street, the car slowed to an unsafe speed and was dangerously slow to accelerate. This has happened several times since then with the most recent on february 11, 2014. Toyota maintains there is nothing wrong because it happens at intermittent times and can't be duplicated in the four times it has been taken in.
The contact owns a 2012 toyota corolla. The contact stated that the door lock system failed and caused the doors to close abruptly. The dealer corrected the failure by reprogramming the electronic computer system; however, the remedy caused the alarm system to fail. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 34,000.

Corrosion to the automatic transmission oil cooler hose occurred in the metal pipe portion of the cooler line, specifically the top line, (not sure if that's 'in' or 'out') causing a leak in atf.not only that, but corrosion to both bolts that hold this line in place and caused the bolts to snap when trying to replace this line.

Rear seat belts must crossover each other to buckle. This involves the rear seat behind the driver and the middle rear seat. Dealer can not repair. Saysit is a factory defect. Requested local dealership to submit a complaint to toyota corporate offices. Turning the buckles opposite of design does not solve the problem. Consequently unable to safely seat belt two children in area behind the driver and middle rear seat.
The car was stationary. I went to buckle the driver's side seatbelt before going grocery shopping and springs came flying out of the buckling mechanism. The seatbelt no longer works.

Purchased corolla le in 2012. In december started experiencing severe right side abdominal pain that let to various doctors, procedures, and diagnostic surgery. A pain management specialist determined on 6-12-13 that pain was due to corolla's short seats and pedal positioning and that it causes chronic muscle strain in small-statured people.

Shortly after purchasing the vehicle (new) from the dealership, my daughter was getting bites all over her legs and i also had some bites, which is why i checked the box injury--her bites were so bad, her legs swelled up and they were getting infected. At the same time, we begin noticing spiders crawling around the front of the car.on the way to disney world, we almost had a very serious accident, killing spiders on the inside of the vehicle.webs appear on and in the car. This has been going on for approximately 1 year.i never brought it back to the dealer because i just thought a lone spider somehow got in the car and had hundreds of babies.the more i killed them, the more that showed up.during this time, my daughter's legs were getting bit up by something and we never put "2 and 2" together until we saw the recall of the camrys because of spiders.i am now capturing the dead spiders as i kill them to keep as proof and taking photos.this is not a singular incident for the corolla because my sister's neighbor told her when they purchased their brand new 2012 corolla, they had the same problem.it is a nightmare.a brand new car that i paid approximately $17,000 for i don't want to even open the door.please include the corolla in the "spider recall".we need to do something immediately--my daughter and i are going to have an accident on the highway killing spiders!!!!! please help us!!!!
My complaint concerns the driver's seat in my brand new 2012 corolla, purchased on 06/23/12. After more than 9 years of being the happy owner of a 2003 toyota corolla, i did not hesitate to trade it in for a new and much nicer model. I had no idea it would turn into a nightmare. As it turns out the driver's seat is so hard and uncomfortable it has resulted in my discovering a sciatica nerve i didn't know existed and the misalignment of my back to the point where i am now being treated by a chiropractor. I went back to toyota initially, but was told there was no problem with the car and the seat was not considered defective. It was recommend i go to a place that could reupholstered the seat by possibly adjusting the padding. I did. It helped some, but not enough. I went back to toyota determined to exchange the car, but to no avail since the deal i was offered was way over my budget. I have another appointment pending with the upholster and in the mean time i'm maintaining by seeing the chiropractor at least once a week. I'm in constant pain and have tried every kind of seat padding i could think of, but nothing has worked. It's like a bad pair of shoes that instantly hurt when you put them on. Unfortunately, one can't just throw a car out and get a new one that fits better. I'm working to resolve this problem. It's been difficult because i work mon.-friand can't take time off to deal with this matter. Weekends aren't much help since the upholster also only works mon.-fri. For the record: i drove to ca right after buying it where i parked it for 3 weeks at mymother's house. She was recovering from an accident and i was there to take care of her. We did not go out. It was after the 5 hour drive and a few days later that i started feeling pain and it took me a while before i realized and became completely aware that it was the car causing the pain.

Brakes on vehecle started getting very low on pedal and slow to stop . Mechanic worked on it replaced modulator and over $500. Later brakes still not working . Another mechanic (another ($500) still working on vehecle without luck as part that's responsible for the problem is attached to the computer and dealerships will sell whole computer at aproxima $4000.00 . Had been looking for usedpart for past 6 months (unable to use we) and every shop stated that part is promptly removed fromcrashed vehicles as is a recurrent people looking for it.also was notified that toyota corolla 2012 brake system was changed only for that year and again year after same system till now ... At every repair shop i'm told: ' that is an ongoing problem with that car'...
I thought the issue was fix already????? maybe not.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
Last year i got into a motor vehicle accident which i believe was caused by brake failure on a new 2012 toyota corolla le vehicle i had purchased. I informed both my insurance company at the time and the dealership where i purchased the vehicle after the crash that something had gone wrong with my brakes causing the vehicle to spiral out of control. It began to veer in the opposite direction and swerving on the highway into oncoming traffic! i was not intoxicated, texting or doing anything illegal, simply on my way to work.no one took my comment seriously. Anyway when the vehicle lost control, i recall pressing the brake one more time to stop the swerving and then the vehicle completely lost control and began to flip over on the highway and clipped another vehicle. It then flipped over a few more times crashing upside down into a wall. I then received a citation for "improper lane change".i would never in a million years engage in reckless or erratic driving endangering the lives of anyone and especially not my life! i was simply trying to get to work and prior tothis i had not had any "at fault" accidents on my record and i don't think it is fair that these motor vehicle companies, specifically toyota, can get away with selling defective vehicles and in the end it is the consumer that must pay the consequence. It is a miracle that i even got out of this alive and upon calling several attorneys right after the accident and all the way until now, because i am not dead or seriously injured there is nothing anyone can do for me!
My car has 60k miles on it. I have two lights on my dash. I took my car in and was told it was the brake actuator. I seen several recalls on this but the corolla is not listed???? i called toyota customer solutions who told me that it would be for me to cover. I find this very frustrating that one a car that has 60k miles that this is an issue. Not to mention the price of the part i was given $3600!!!!
The contact owns a 2012 toyota corolla. The contact stated that while driving 50 mph, she tried to depress the brake pedal and the vehicle accelerated abnormally. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and stated that they would be sending further information to her via mail. The failure mileage was 2,400.

When i driving was okay, it's only 20-25 miles speeding, i was trying to stop at the signal light, the break doesn't work and i stopped the car with side break. It caused the accident.
As i was approaching a stop light, i began applying my brakes & slowing down.as i got closer to the vehicle in front of me i applied full pressure. My vehicle surged forward & i had the brake pedal completely to the floor. I could not swerve due to oncoming traffic. This resulted in me rear-ending the vehicle in front of me. I had only purchased the car a week before! i took the car into the dealership & explained what had happened. They checked out the braking system & said that it was working properly & they could find nothing wrong with it. This did not surprise me after reading the other complaints. As a result, i had to file with my insurance company which raised my rates. I am not happy about this! i have to drive 40 miles, one way, to work, and i am constantly fearing that it will happen again & that the results will be much worse. What recourse do i have?
Failure of the abs brake controller caused 3 lights on the dash to intermittently light (abs, traction & brake) during all driving conditions. Sometimes the brake light would be off while the abs & traction lights were on, and other times all three lights would be off. A computer scan discovered a short in the abs brake controller.
I test drove a new 2012 toyota corolla le today and was surprised to find that, at freeway speeds (65 mph), the steering did not track well (likes to drift sideways, but only slightly) and my constant steering corrections seemed to jerk the vehicle (and driver) side to side slightly.the slightest steering corrections caused my body to jerk slightly with the car (maybe it's caused by a tight suspension combined with tight steering).this jerking was not a comfortable feeling.you need to be "very" steady on the steering wheel to avoid what seems to me like the car's overcorrective steering.i tried to be as steady as i possibly could and kept it under reasonable control and was reasonably comfortable, but in my opinion, this car has some steering "problems" (steering is too responsive and possibly overcorrects).when i got to a toll booth off ramp, i was leaning over and reaching for my wallet when i overcorrected the steering and it scared me "a lot."that has never happened to me before.at lower speeds the corolla seemed to steer ok.i own a 99 buick and have never felt this jerky/overcorrective steering.i also test drove a 2012 honda civic and did not notice any kind of steering problem like the corolla's, although even the civic had faster steering response than my 99 buick and i had to get used to it.i am not affiliated with either company and my comments here are fact.one concern that i have is when the road is icy or covered with snow, i would worry that the jerking could break the tires free from a slippery surface and cause a loss of control.
2012 toyota corolla.consumer writes in regards to vehicle sudden acceleration and steering problems. The consumer stated when she slowed/braked for a dip in the road, the vehicle surged and then idled at a speed of 10-15 mph, without her applying the gas pedal.the consumer stated due to the sudden acceleration and high idle she had to use her brake and put the vehicle into neutral in order to de- accelerate.also, the vehicle would veer to the left, which made the steering hard to correct. The tires were balanced and checked.
My corolla steering got jammed suddenly while i was in the traffic & i could not turn the car either ways
The contact owns a 2012 toyota corolla. While driving approximately 60 mph, the steering wheel became difficult to maneuver without warning. As a result, the vehicle veered to the left and to the right. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the technician informed that the vehicle was operating as designed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 30,000.
Vehicle steering has poor on-center feel.when vehicle is driven over 30 mph, the wheel can be turned an inch right or left of center and it will not return.this results in additional driver fatigue from steering corrections to overcome the dead spot near center.bright colored and chrome trim panels near gear shift console cause distracting glare under bright sunny conditions.
I purchases a new 2012 toyota corolla this year. On (first day) the way home from the dealer i noticed the vehicle tends to sway in the freeway. It feels similar to driving on a windy day. I am concerned about the safety of the vehicle. I have taken the vehicle to the dealer two times, however, the problems still persists. What rights does the customer have in these types of circumstances?
At speeds above 60mph on interstate driving, vehicle feels like it is being blown all over the road. Very hard to keep vehicle centered in lane even on non windy dry condition days. Something in steering seems to be cause of problem. Vehicle does not feel safe above 60mph on interstate highways. Vehicle seems to blow to the right and left and very hard to stay in lane.
The contact owns a 2012 toyota corolla. The contact stated that while driving 55 mph, she attempted to turn left but the steering wheel pulled to the right. The contact stated that she applied the brakes but that caused both of the passenger side tires to become lifted off the ground. As result, the vehicle flipped onto the driver's side and rolled over several times. The contact sustained minor cuts and bruises however, the vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 100.
The contact owns a 2012 toyota corolla. The contact stated that the steering wheel made a rubbing noise while it was turning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that it was normal for the steering wheel to make that noise. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 4,250 and the current mileage was 4,500.
At highway speeds when there is any kind of wind (eg. Head wind, cross wind, tail wind), the vehicle is almost uncontrollable and changes direction without driver input. ***very dangerous***. Notified dealer at 5k service and was told there was too much air pressure in tires. The change of air pressure by the dealer made no difference, and i have experimented with higher, lower, and 35 psi in all four tires. Without winds, the car drives absolutely straight and stable on the same roads that i drive daily. I do not feel safe and don't believe i will keep this otherwise nice car for very long.
This is the second time i report this issue. I logged 1,500miles roundtrip from houston to el paso. This is also the 4th longest trip i have taken in this car. The problem is the steering is dangerous over 65+ mph!the front end of the car feels like it floats at highway speeds. I have zero feeling of the road from my hands to the wheels. The car tracks and never stays true on the road. This is constant and not intermittent which means i am focusing more on the steering issue then on the traffic. I am either overcompensating for any slight movement of the steering wheel to barely touching the wheel to keep this car remotely driving straight in the center of the lane, and that doesn't help!it worsens at speeds of 75+mph.someone is going to get hurt! please recall this eps system now!!!
The contact owns a 2012 toyota corolla. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The dealer diagnosed that the spiral cable needed to be replaced. The contact heard a clicking noise when the steering wheel was turned. The vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 13v014000 (air bags, seats). The vin was not available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vin and failure mileage were not available.
The contact owns a 2012 toyota corolla. The contact stated that the steering wheel was loose and caused the vehicle to swerve while driving 65 mph. The failure occurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer for diagnostic testing, but a failure code could not be located. The dealer adjusted the steering torque, but the repair did not correct the failure. The dealer stated that the steering wheel was operating normally. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.

The contact had not experienced any failure. Vin tool confirms part not available.
As a direct result of the accident, my car was a total loss. ....updated 01/12/15updated 01/15/15
I was in an accident where i could not stop coming down a hill (it was snowing in massachusetts) and i was hit on the drivers side (i was driving) in front of the tire damaging everything in front of the front tires. The airbags did not deploy and i was told by a mechanic who assessed the damage that they 100% should've deployed. I suffered a concussion to the head and neck, shoulder, back and left leg spasms. I was diagnosed at the hospital the day after the accident.
I found a crack on my car's windshield glass. I am sure that it happened because of temperature variation. Nothing wrong happened to my car like no one hit anything or something fell on the car. I think manufacturer should consider the temperature variations in their mind when they are designing any parts of the car. In all models like me has a gap between windshield and body of the car. If that gap is filled with ice it would not allow glass to expand when temperature goes up. Company should fix that gap in all of its models and provide new glass to everyone who has a crack. If consumers have fixed already manufacturer should pay for that.

2012 toyota corolla.consumer writes in regards to vehicle damage after an accident.the consumer stated her daughter was driving, when a tractor trailer made a left turn, two cars ahead of her. Two vehicles in front of his daughter hit their brakes extremely fast, and his daughter was unable to stop in time, and she hit the truck in front of her. The consumer stated the air bag deployed as they should and protected his daughter. Only the front of the vehicle was smashed. However, the insurance company declared the vehicle a total loss.
Kindly, my car is toyota corolla 2012, i purchased it from saudi arabia, and then i exported it to my mother country ( egypt ).it is manufactured to arab gulf specifications and i am the first owner, i am writing to complain about my car dashboard. Three months ago, i found that the dashboard began to melt and became sticky by the heat of the sun, in addition to; it creates an unsafe glare on the windshield while driving.after searching for a solution to the problem, i found that many costumers have faced the same problemand was solved by toyota customer satisfaction.toyota dealership in egypt "toyota egypt" refused to replace the melting dashboard with a new one because my car is no longer under warranty, but regardless of my car's age, is the dashboard supposed to melt !therefore, i want to know your response regarding this problem.knowing that, i do not ever put any materials on the dashboard.please find the attached photos.thank you for your kind understanding

Takata recall problemsi have contacted the dealership on a couple of occasions. To try a schedule the replacements with no luck. They tell me "recall incomplete, remedy not yet available" does this mean i will have to wait until something happens and someone is hurt?this is not acceptable!should i contact my lawyer now?
1. While driving with ac on water was leaking down into the passenger side carpet. Dealer checked and foundthat the a/c drain hose was clogged. This happened on july 10th. 2013. Dealer did not charge for cleaning clogged drain.2. On july 8th 2015, the same condition occurred and took it into the dealer. Dealer diagnosed a/c drain clogged and caused water to back up into the oxygen sensor causing the "check engine " and "trac off" lights to come on. Dealer now charged $252.59 and stated that this is not covered by warranty.this is the second time and it is affecting the engine. I need to have this situation fixed before it occurrs again and cause serious accident or death to occupant.
Unexpected acceleration, which almost caused a major accident at a gas pump.the car was in motion and slowing to stop at the gas pump.this happened once a few years ago while pulling into a parking lot. Very dangerous situation.
My husband was parking and the accelerator pad stuck resulting in the car lunging forward at a higher rate of speed flipping over.the air bags did not deploy as well. At the time we had no idea what happen. I saw online where a recalls were put in as well as compensation being offered to victims. We would like to know whom to contact about this.
The contact owns a 2012 toyota corolla. The contact stated while driving various speeds the vehicle would intermittently losepower when accelerating. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure to properly diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 20.
The contact owns a 2012 toyota corolla. While the vehicle was driving in reverse at 5 mph, it began to accelerate forward without warning. The failure recurred twice. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the cause of the failure was not determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 22,633.updated 02/12/16*lj
The speed control was set to 60mph over a stretch of empty interstate. As soon as the vehicle encountered a slight elevation in the road, the engine revved to over 4,500 rpm and increased my speed to almost 70mph. This sudden acceleration was unexpected and not within normal speed control operating limits.
I was leaving work and driving on a curvy road going slightly uphill. I was in 3rd or 4th gear (not sure as i am writing this hours later) and driving at constant speed (around 35 mph) when the car began to accelerate. It felt as though i was driving with the cruise control and hit the up lever to accelerate. The pedal fell away from my foot and i immediately put in the clutch. At that point the rpms shot up to over 6000 and the engine raced wildly. I moved the shifter out of gear (with clutch still in) and coasted along for what was probably 30-60 seconds. At that point the accelerator pedal popped up and the whole event was over. I stopped for groceries and looked at the pedal and floor mat. I could see no obstruction and the mat seemed to be where it had been for weeks. Continuing on my way home i was driving on level road at about 30-35 mph. There was a car merging in and i sped up to get in front of them when it happened again. Again i popped the clutch, rpms shot up, engine racing. This time i pried at the accelerator pedal with my foot and it popped up. The event was over in around 30 seconds.
I was positioning the car into a parking place when it accelerated forward very quickly.it seemed to me that it made two spurts, veering to the right, before crashing into an area of bushes and small trees bisecting the grass strip that divided two areas of the parking lot.i was not injured, and the air bag did not deploy.the cost of repair was approximately $5,000.i have repair invoices etc

The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 38,700.

The contactstated that while driving a low parking speed, she depressed the brake pedal and the vehicle accelerated independently, causing her to crash into a fence. The contact stated that the vehicle was not totaled and that there were no injuries. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection where they stated that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified but provided no assistance.
2012 toyota corolla.consumer writes in regards to vehicle sudden acceleration and steering problems. The consumer stated when she slowed/braked for a dip in the road, the vehicle surged and then idled at a speed of 10-15 mph, without her applying the gas pedal.the consumer stated due to the sudden acceleration and high idle she had to use her brake and put the vehicle into neutral in order to de- accelerate.also, the vehicle would veer to the left, which made the steering hard to correct. The tires were balanced and checked.
I thought the issue was fix already????? maybe not.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

There is a defect on the interior rear view mirror. I attached a photo, notice the black marks at the bottom of the mirror...these will get larger over time and affect visibility. This already happened with the original interior rear view mirror, which was replaced at bredemann toyota in park ridge, il. This mirror is never touched, so this is very odd.
The contact owns a 2012 toyota corolla. The contact stated while driving at 35 mph, the windshield started to crack across from the passenger's side to the driver's side of the vehicle. Toyota of lincolnwood located at (7225 n. Cicero ave, lincolnwood, il 60712) was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
I have noticed that there is a very strong wave effect on the front and rear windshield that covers the length of the glass from top to bottom and a series of waves of variable width that cover the entire windshield. It seems as if the thickness of the glass varies. The objects change shape while driving. It becomes impossible to observe the approaching traffic and distances. When you try to turn it is very difficult. It is very difficult to concentrate on the road due to the distortion present on the driver's side. The effect is similar to looking through glasses that have the wrong recipe, or wearing too strong reading glasses. I am worried about having an accident due to this situation. Driving the car causes migraines and headaches.

When i set up and set down the pilot windows. It makes a estrange noise, this car is new.
I rented a car from payless car rental at the orlando airport.after being on the road for approximately 30 miles, the car got a flat tire.we pulled over changed the tire and took it to wal mart for repair.the mechanic at wal mart informed us the tire was unrepairable.the inside of the tire at inner wall damage that he said couldn't have been done by us.he informed us that this tire was driven on flat many times before.i have pictures that show the inner wall damage and it actually looks like the tire was dry rotted.payless informed me that this was my responsibility to fix.i then returned the car to their company and had to pay for one day with the car.i had the car for less than a day (approx. 5 hours).i am making a complaint because they clearly do not inspect their cars before they are rented out to people.i am so lucky that nothing serious happened to us because that could have been a major problem if something had.they are a terrible company.i am requesting that you look into how they inspect their cars before they are given out to people.i am sure i am not the first person or the last person that will have this happen to them.how can a company run when it gives paying customers lemon's to drive.
