I just see in detail of my car about the recall regarding the air bag and tire but no one contact me from dealer and manufacture. I am totally unaware about it. There is problem with airbag and i am driving this car since last 3 year oh my god. Nothing is happen yet.i just see the detail.

On november 4th, 2017, i was involved in an accident which was determined by the police report to be a hit-and-run accident. We were never able to find the person who hit my car while i was driving. My car was severely damaged as a result of spinning across 7 lanes and hitting the sub-dividers. Please see attached pictures of the vehicle below. Unfortunately, none of the 8 airbags in the car deployed. My face was slammed very hard against the steering wheel as a result of the impact. We reported this to the toyota corporation and they said they needed to do an investigation, which took them more than 2 and a half months, to come to the conclusion that the car performed normally. They sent me some diagrams and other information which was completely incomprehensible. Please see attached documents from the toyota inspection department. I recently sent a letter to toyota corporation requiring a fair resolution to my situation. Please see attached copy of that letter. Everybody i show the car to, including body shops and mechanics, felt that i was very lucky to walk away alive from that car. I am extremely scared to drive this car, fearing another accident where the outcome may not be the same. I truly believe this car is a death trap and toyota corporation is refusing to take responsibility and compensate me for the repairs, car rentals, and other expenses. If you have any questions, please call me at [xxx], or email me at [xxx]. I'll be more than happy to arrange for an independent inspection of the air bag system of this vehicle.i sincerely appreciate your understanding and i am looking forward to hearing from you.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Airbags fail to deploy in an accident . At a intersection in san diego,ca

I was driving in the hov lane on the 170 at 6:30pm. 2/7/2020. There was a sudden white flash and explosion. All of the airbags deployed. I could not see where i was going. All i could see was out my rear window. I tried to steer the car to the side of the freeway but it stopped in the fast lane. All i could see where cars swerving to miss us. I didn't know if my hazards could be seen as i couldn't see my instrument panel. So i pumped the brakes hoping the lights were working and the cars coming could see them. At the same time, i thought the car was on fire because my throat and lungs were burning. My daughter was knocked unconscious. I couldn't move because of the seat belts. When she came to she called 911. The freeway was closed down. The police found no evidence of us being hit or us hitting anything. No report was issued. The airbags had to be cut to get us out. We were trapped in a car that we couldn't tell if it was on fire or not. If it was we wouldn't have gotten out! the car was deemed a total loss. I believe there was a short that may have caused the air bags to go off. Or the airbags just went off on their own. I do not know what the white light or deafening bang was. I can only call it an explosion.

The car was in motion at high speed also does this at low speed, new tires brakes alignment.. The car has throws me out of the lane consistantly and has also thrown my family and i towards oncoming traffic unsafe to drive even to toyota dont now what a wrong, all new tires rims are good brakes i'm thinking something to do with the electrical steering

The spiral cable sub assembly failed, losing the horn the cruise control and other portions of control on the string, would have failed with time. Shouldā€™ve thought youā€™re like this occur on a vehicle thatā€™s not even four years old. Part number 84307 dash 02220 cost was $834.

Abs and brake light intermittently on. When on - the speedometer goes to zero while car is moving. Rpm and water temp gauge go all over. While brake and abs lights on the a/c is blowing hot air while on max cold. All of the above occurs while moving or idle

2017 toyota camry se. I have had my vehicle into the dealership over 8 times now for problems with the door lock actuators and a clunking sound coming from the brakes that has progressively gotten worse. The door lock actuators would not lock/unlock and on two occurrences while the vehicle was in motion the doors unlocked themselves without being commanded. The car was brought into the dealer 4 times for the issue before the dealership finally replaced 3 of 4 out of safety. I brought this issue to the general manager attention that it should take 4 visits to the dealership to get a safety feature fixed. He told me toyota is aware of the problem with the door actuators and have known about the problem but the engineers have not came up with a solution to the problem. Clearly its an electrical issue with the vehicle toyota and the dealership want to acknowledge or address. The car had been in approx. 8 times now for a clunking sound coming from the braking system that has progressively gotten worse. The dealership said toyota's are known for this. Their solution was to pay for a brake job even though the car is still under the bumper to bumper warranty and they know their is an defect with the system. I have voiced my concerns to toyota but they refuse to acknowledge the problem or fix the problem.

At 4500 miles the normal indicators of "need maintenance soon" appeared on the alert screen. Soon thereafter i had a "check braking system" light come on while i was in reverse mode causing the parking brake sign to remain illuminated even though i let go of the foot brake. Drove to the dealership and was told it was an erroneous alarm. I was also asked if i spent time driving the car with my foot on the brake and on the accelerator simultaneously (which of course i did not). The very next day after driving 20 miles and in park, the alert system showed "check charging system".the manual states this is a serious alert and driving the car with this on could cause permanent damage to the car. I immediately called my local toyota dealership and they towed the car to the dealership only to tell me after a thorough inspection that nothing was wrong and to only worry if the alert came on while i was driving the car.i have not yet been given an explanation as to why these alarms are continuing to come on.it should be noted that all these alarms have been removed by the dealership but i have to take them seriously at all times.

The contact owns a 2017 toyota camry. The contact stated that the front driver's door failed to open and lock with the remote key and the buttons on the door. The contact had to open the door manually. The vehicle was taken to carson toyota (1333 e 223rd st, carson, ca 90745), but the failure could not be replicated. The vehicle was not repaired and the front passenger side door also failed. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was determined that the passenger door was able to be repaired, but not the driver's door. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact to call the dealer. The approximate failure mileage was 24,406. The vin was not provided.

I been experiencing unintended acceleration on the highway maybe about 3 to 5 hours into driving. The car jerks and picks up speed a few miles per hour. As you can see in the attached photo. I have many attempts with the dealer to take a look at it but the problem hasn't been duplicated. The car also has a sluggish take off intermittently and you can hear the transmission dragging at times.i also have video footage and more photos. The vehicle dashboard also gives incorrect speed ratings.

I shut the car off to pump gas and when i tried to turn it back on to leave, it wouldn't turn on anymore cause the battery was completely drained. After going to auto zone, they said the alternator was bad and wasn't charging the battery. It only has 34,000 miles on it.

I was in a parking space, waiting for my wife. Engine and,air conditioner were running. When my engine shut down and, smoke was coming out from under my hood. I called toyota for road side assistance and was towed to toyota service department. They called the next morning to inform me that my starter was fried and wiring was damaged, 2017 camry se with only 17,265 miles. I now have rental car. Under 2 year toyota care. No charge.

The contact owns a 2017 toyota camry. The contact stated that there was an intermittent failure with the keyless entry operation. On several occasions, the key fob failed to unlock the front driver's door; however, the front passenger door would unlock. The contact had to enter the vehicle from the front passenger door. The vehicle was taken to john o'neil johnson toyota (2900 ms-39, meridian, ms 39301, (888) 781-0044) where it was determined that there was no recall on the vehicle pertaining to the locks/latches/linkages. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.

I was driving in my 2017 toyota camry with 40,000 miles. I was in thevehicle with mythree children and we were going to get something to eat. We were traveling on a 4 lane very busy street doing the speed limit of 30 mph. When all of a sudden the car stopped with no warning or anything.the whole system shut down. I panicked because this almost caused a major accident.my radio keeps rebooting and will not click off. When i turn my left turn signal the car shuts down. I am very disappointed in toyota and their treatment of my concerns. I am afraid to drive the car because it is not safe to drive and puts me and my children in danger.

While driving on a street at approximately 25mph, i approached an intersection with a stop sign.iapplied the brakes and lost power steering electric boost, abs system, stability control, and speedometer.i was driving in a straight line leading up to the intersection.there was no warning leading up to this loss of function. All systems remain non-functioning.warning lights for steering, brakes, abs, traction control, and check engine light are illuminated. The dealer states that the abs actuator is faulty. The repair part not immediately available.the toyota rep stated that there was no additional warranty at this time.the repair will be $3000. There are other reports of similar issues.this could be an unrecognized systemic safety hazard.my vehicle has not experienced slowdowns as others have reported when experiencing similar system failures. Uncommanded slowdowns in the heavy traffic in this region could result in a fatal accident.request nhtsa immediately look into this issue as there are other reports of this issue.the dealer indicated that the abs parts are on back order which leads to the inference that abs actuators are being replaced while no nhtsa reports are being filedsystems impacted includes, brakes, steering, speed control, stability control.systems are basic safety systems.

While the vehicle is in motion traveling straight on a highway, warning bell sounds and three warning lights are illuminated simultaneously and constantly: brake, abs and stability control system. The center error message panel of the dashboard cycles through the three messages, as shown in the accompanying photos.while these messages are displayed, every few miles there is an apparent loss of power, slowing the vehicle. Pressing the accelerator further does not restore power. Fully releasing the accelerator for a couple of seconds and then pressing the accelerator does restore power.while these messages are displayed, cruise control also does not function.the warning lights remain on until the vehicle is turned off. Upon restarting, the warning lights are no longer illuminated.the photos are from october 29, 2018, but this problem has occurred intermittently and with increasing frequency (now every three days on average) for several weeks.i will be having a dealer investigate.i have seen this problem described for this vehicle make/model/year on other online complaint forums.

On january 25, 2017 at approx. 7:37 pm i started up the vehicle that was not in motion. Before placing the vehicle in motion i noticed the skid and parking brake lights were both on. I then checked the parking brake and it was in the release position (up). I put the vehicle into motion and both lights remained on. At approx. 7:45 pm i was driving cautiously on the highway at approx. 60 mph. At about 7:47 pm all of the sudden i felt the steering wheel stiffen, and at the same time the vehicle began to decelerate from 60 mph to speeds of approx. 40-45 mph. Simultaneously, i pressed on the gas pedal to accelerate but the vehicle failed to increase in speed so that is when i pressed on the gas pedal down to the floor but still the vehicle did not increase in speed. Taking notice of my immediate surroundings, i immediately noticed the skid and parking lights remained lit, so i used my left foot to double check the parking brake position and it remained in the release position (up). Not realizing what was actually happening to the vehicle, i panicked at that moment and i pressed down on the parking brake and this is when the vehicle spun out of control and off the highway into a ditch causing personal minor head injury to myself and my front passenger. The damage to the undercarriage is unknown, but the front and rear fender were proved obvious damaged. The air bags did not deploy. A police report and insurance claim were filed immediately after the accident.the vehicle was drivable and was later driven to my house and remains in the driveway until investigated by my insurance company.

Rodents ate fuel injector harness and intake air valve

Me and my family feel unsafe on the road the car is brand new nothing but engine and electrical problems since i got the car everytimethey say they fix it the same problems reoccurs the car turned off in the middle of me driving the car has a rattling noise in city streets and highway i keep bringing the car to service

In the process of backing the car out of the garage, with the car in reverse, application of the brakes had no affect on slowing the car. After about 69-80 feet (across the driveway, my lawn and my neighbor's lawn) it crashed into the neighbor's shed. There was $6000 damage to the car , some back pain and destruction of the shed.two months later, the same incident occurred but the car was stopped by putting it into first neutral gear and then park before any damage. Then when the vehicle was put in forward gear, the brakes would not stop the car until it was put in first, neutral and then park.attempts by the dealer to reproduce this condition was unsuccessful and therefore could not be corrected.

The contact owns a 2017 toyota camry. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, a knocking noise was present coming from the engine. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer central florida toyota (11020 orange blossom trail, orlando, fl 32837) who was unable to duplicate the failure. No services were performed. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 51,000.

Vvt -i engine made a rattle noise on passenger side when you do a cold start especially first in the morning, because there's no pressure in to the locking pin located inside the actuator which connects to the camshaft, because of this the housing the imput and the output are free to move relative to each other and this create wear inside of this housing. It just goin to wear down and them you're not gonna have proper control of the variable valve timing.

Vehicle was in fast food drive thru.vehicle caught on fire from the engine compartment and drive train.vehicle was idling and moving thru the line.

Ipurchased the camry from dealership, the first time i went to put gas in it the filler neck had a lot of dirt in it. I informed the dealer and with a toyota representative there they put a new cap on it, and insisted that would fix the dirt problem. A week later i went to put gas in car and it had a lot of dirt inside the filler neck again. I scheduled another appointment with toyota service and with contact with toyota they insisted there was nothing wrong and with dirt getting inside was not a problem,i believe the evap system has been tampered with to allow for this to occur and no system defect could be identified.

During driving or from a stop the car hesitates to accelerate. On the dash board the rpm meter displays a jerking motion as well as the car physically. Usually occurs while driving long distances and when outside temperature is above 85f.

There is a hesitation problem normally when starting from a stand still.it hesitatesfor just 1-2 seconds. It can be dangerous in traffic.toyota service says they have nonotice of a problem but custamersare saying otherwise.

Experiencing vehicle hesitation when accelerating to go around another vehicle or going through traffic coming from another way. Very uncomfortable producing anxiety in not knowing what may happen.this incident happens frequently and unable to give specific date as to when it first began. My wife is noticing it's occurrence more frequently.

Thank god no one was on the sidewalk this day.

The contact owns a 2017 toyota camry. While attempting to park her vehicle with her foot on the brake pedal, her vehicle jolted forward independently and wedged the vehicle in between a tree and a light post. The contact was uncertain if any warning lights had illuminated prior to the failure. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. The contact stated that the brake pedal seemed to be stuck. A passerby was able to enter the vehicle and depressed the brake pedal several times to release it. The contact was not injured due to the failure. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and was repaired. The contact called toyota of north charlotte (13429 statesville rd, huntersville, nc 28078) for a diagnostic and was informed that the vehicle would be kept for an extended period before receiving a diagnosis. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 31,594.

"check brake system" on the dashboard and totally loss of brakes. The car just started to move when i braked and the system message showed up. Took the car to the dealer and they updated the ecu program. Toyota knows about this issue but isn't recalling or making any move to recall the brake failure or update the system.

I was in an accident 10/29/18 which totaled my 2017 camry. I was trying to stop and the car accellerated and i hit the car in front of me.

Rear back brakes are not safe they lock up. Toyota 2017 camry purchase 9/2016. 8/2018 , had 5 pt inspection brakes were good 8mm all 4 at 27000 miles. Then 10/2018, left rear wheelscreeching noises & wheel became extremely hot to touch after driving15-20 minutes. Dealer said it "was environmental",found that rear brake was frozen in bracket and sitting sideways. How did that happen? they did say it was the way i drove and environmental.they fixed it and cost me $500i asked is this dangerous if brake freezes.? 1 year later 10/2019 and only 11000 miles on the new back brake pads and rotors, the same thing happens to the same wheel, left rear. . i called dealer and brought car in. What a dilemma. Again they said it is environmental?? dust??.they reported that the the new brakes pads are now 7mm after replacing them in 10/2018?? how so ?it appeared that again the pads got stuck in the caliperbraket which they cleaned up and lubed. Same problem in 10/2018i asked why is this happening , could the caliper and bracket be defective.they said it is the material corrodes faster.they told me i should have a brake inspection cleaning every year for $125 as preventative. Now how does a car after just three years have another brake problem, the rear left wheel. All other wheels/brakes are good? so itis environmental for one wheel?? headquarters of toyotas knows about this problem and telling the dealers to tell the customer that it is environmental.also dealer admitted that there have been other cars same problem and toyota hdqt know about it but not doing a thing.it scares me to drive this car with a potential braking problem that may cause an accident if the brake freezes and i am not aware of it and the brake pad deteriorates on a long drive. Toyota should owe up to the poor quality of material they are using cause a dangerous situation to arise.

When backing up and applying the brakes there's a loud clunking, most noticeable coming from the left front wheel. I've been told the noise could be the wrong brake pads were installed, or possibly the installation of the pads wasn't done correctly by the technician, causing the pads to not be locked into place on the brake caliber. Have not been back to the dealer to date i bought the vehicle used so with 32k, it has 36k, still have all the extended warranty i bought with the vehicle so will see how much consideration i'm given.

When i was driving back home on my 2017 camry xle 2 nights ago (clear night, dry road, good driving conditions) i hit the brakes as i was approaching a red traffic light. As i depressed the brake pedal, it went all the way to the floor with a noise, without braking. Luckily, i was already driving slow and there was no car in front of me, else i would have hit any car that had been in front of me. I panicked and hit the brakes again and this time the car stopped a little short of the cross traffic, but past the pedestrian crossing. I took the car in for service to toyota and they are telling me that there is no log of this event in the car's "log"and because they weren't there when this issue happened they don't really know what caused it! the next day, the brakes seem to be working when i drove the car in to service (3 miles), but it troubles me that it even happened on a new car and it could have been a potentially serious accident, but toyota service couldn't figure out why it had happened. Really worried!

At 45000 miles a rattle over bumps and at low speed developed under the dashboard. The rattle increased until i brought it to the local toyota dealer with 50000 miles on it . Through the process it was discovered the steering column had to be replaced at a cost of $135 diagnostic fee, $555 for labor and $757 for the steering column. The new column solved the problem.the cause of loose part or parts is inside of the column. I contacted toyota customer service and got no satisfaction. The service tech at my dealer told me there has been other cases of steering column looseness and replacement. I believe this is a safety concern and needs to be addressed. I have all the records. I wish toyota should step up address this problem.

The contact owned a 2017 toyota camry. While driving 55 mph, the vehicle veered to the left independently. The contact lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a ditch. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. The contact sustained a busted lip and a bruised chin that required medical attention (stitches). The vehicle was towed to wilmes chevrolet buick gmc(2215 e broadway st, altus, ok 73521, (877) 394-8034) where it was deemed totaled. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The cause of the failure was not determined. The failure mileage was 49,000.

I just bought toyota camry xle v6 2017.this car has very sensitive steering and is unsafe to drive, especially on a highway. There is a 1-2 degrees of very loose, fluid, no-resistant movement space in the steering wheel. The lack of any resistance in the steering makes the driver not having control over the car. I have to keep correcting the steering for the car to stay in lane. Actually, a slightest pressure on the steering wheel will make the car to jump in that direction. This makes me feel very unsafe on the highway, it also requires a lot of concentration and it makes me tired, especially my hands. My car has electronic steering systems (eps). I went to toyota dealer shop. They checked it with a computer and there were no eps faults. All came ok. Their help ended there. This however does not change the fact that the car is not safe to drive.

I was involved in a head on collision with a stone fixture, when my camry too me off the road i was traveling 35mph initially and the car went up to 60 mph onto the side walk. The steering system locked and i had no control over the car anymoreand when i applied the brakes it caused the car to accelerate faster. I was going 60 mph into a stone fixture where me car crashed. I'm badly injured due to this car going crazy on me. I had to be transported by ambulance to the hospital for my injuries. The car was totaled out in this crash. Also when the car was placed back in park after the cash it jumped out of gear and i was almost sent into oncoming traffic.thank god i lived to speak on this very scary encounter. Thank god no one was on the sidewalk this day.

The contact owns a 2017 toyota camry. The contact stated that a rodent entered the vehicle through the rear air equalizer in the trunk while it was parked. The contact stated that the rodent chewed through the rear seats and destroyed the interior of the vehicle. While driving in the driveway at 10 mph, the rodent fell onto the contact's lap. The vehicle was taken to valley hi toyota in victorville ca, 92395 (866-632-6290) where it was inspected, but not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but offered no resolution. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 5,000.

I hydroplaned on the interstate going 60 and hit a guardrail twice. The airbags never went off, the seat belt retracted back into place after taking it off. It should have been floppy if it was effective.

On the 2017 toyota camry, i noticed the door jamb has a sticker that reads "caution: load carrying capacity reduced. Modifications to this vehicle have reduced the original load carrying capacity by 9 kg or 21 lbs." i have not done any modifications to this vehicle. I have contacted toyota headquarters regarding this issue and was referred to the dealership with no explanation why this sticker was placed on the door jamb.

Bumper got hit

When driving over medium sized bumps in the driveway, or going over railroad tracks, the frame of the car sounds like it is twisting at which point you can here a popping noise.it doesn't sound like it is coming from the suspension, but more so from the top of the c-post (rear roof). I do not feel it is a huge issue, but i feel like the body metal is bending each time.i have not brought the issue up to the dealership yet, but after reading through some of the other complaints, it doesn't sound to abnormal for something like this to happen to the camry.

Vehicle has a recurring issue with rattling/ticking sounds when driving on city, highway, and interstate roads over normal road bumps that is coming from the front passengers side door panel/seat belt retractor pillar area. The local toyota dealer did not want to investigate my issue because they could not replicate the sound even though i had multiple video recordings of the issue. The vehicle has since been in for four separate visits with another local shop to try and resolve the issue. That shop installed a new seat belt retractor and pillar trim along with foam. None of those attempts resolved the issue. $400+ dollars has been wasted trying to fix this problem. I believe it is a quality issue on toyota's part that needs to be resolved.

The contact owns a 2017 toyota camry. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormal popping sound coming from the vehicle. Additionally, while driving the air bag warning light illuminated. While inspecting the vehicle, it was discovered that the passenger side front windshield seal was unsecured. The cause of the failure was not determined. Price toyota located at 168 n. Dupont hwy, new castle de, was notified the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 100.*dt

After having my car for almost a year in south carolina, i noticed that the front bumper grill where the emblem is located is bubbling significantly.the "chrome" looking plastic isn't holding up to normal wear and tear on the camry.i wash my vehicle twice a month, so not taking care of the vehicle is not the issue by any means.i told the dealership about this problem, and they stated that this was no longer on my coverage for warranty.i do not feel a brand new car should have cosmetic issues like this after a year of owning the vehicle from driving it off the lot brand new. For about 8 months of its 16 month life span the car was garage kept.my wife is currently driving the vehicle and does not take it for a drive that often.

While traveling over a speed bump, driveway entry, or railroad crossing, a loud mechanical clunking sound occasionally comes from the car. The clunking sound is definitely from the front, and appears to be from the right front suspension.the sound occurs when the car comes down to its lowest point of suspension travel. This clunking sound occurs most frequently over speed bumps, and occasionally at driveway entries, and railroad crossings. The clunking sound has occurred with the brakes on and off. The sound has most frequently occurred at slow speeds and occasionally occurred at normal street speeds. The clunking sound has occurred while the steering wheel is turned and while it is straight. The car is one year old, and the first incident occurred between 8k-9k miles. The car has not been in any accident, or any condition that would damage the suspension, and the suspension has not been serviced. The car has not been inspected for the issue yet. The car will be inspected at the next scheduled service of 15k miles. The issue has not yet been reported to the dealer because the issue is intermittent. The issue cannot be exactly replicated during a text drive, but it happens randomly and often enough to be a nuisance.

Passenger front lower ball joint missing two retaining nuts when delivered by selling dealership (bev smith toyota, ft pierce ,fl). As noted on inspection by tarbox toyota, north kingstown,ri after car driven from fl to ri.phone call to delivering dealer in fl.service manager stated that dealer did not perform a pre delivery inspection as it was done by the distributor, southeast toyota.. Said i would be contacted.nothing heard to date. Believe this could have easily lead to a loss of control or worse if a pothole was struck at highway speed.

My car is 46k and already have a suspension problem that was brought to my attention when my car started vibrating while driving on the highway. The tires are feathering in the middle which i was told was caused by a bad suspension. I've been going to the toyota dealer to do my 5k maintenance and no one single person has ever mentioned this problem to me until now that is super late and very dangerous. I'm always traveling and doing road trips from ks to fl and from ny to fl and from canada to ny and so on and this could have caused an accident. This must be happening for a while now since the tires were just replaced at 19k

While coasting into a parking space my car accelerated hitting another car.

While driving on highway 280 southbound at roughly 65 mph in friday evening traffic, the moonroof on my 2017 camry exploded spontaneously. It was so loud, i thought i had been shot at. Luckily, the cover was closed or glass would have been everywhere in the car's interior. The glass had exploded outward as there was no damage to the sliding cover at all. I called my insurance company but was unable to get into a shop as it was after 5 pm. The moonroof rails had to be replaced when i initially bought the car last year and so i thought the dealer would have the repair under warrantee. I took it to the dealer on saturday morning and they admitted that they had seen this problem before and that the repair was not under warrantee. Dennis mcconnell stated that the car was under so much external and internal pressure when sealed up at highway speeds that this failure sometimes happens especially as moonroof and sunroofs being a standard feature on cars today. I ended up paying $1072 for a repair i feel must be a structural issue that should be under recall by toyota. The car has less than 25k miles. I should not be responsible for the cost ofthis repair. I am now afraid that this will happen again and drive with the moonroof open on the freeway.

The body of the side rear view mirrors is blocking a significant area of the driver's view to the right and to the left. The mirrors of average size are part of a body that is excessively large, adding several inches around the area of the mirror. The whole body is installed on a long arm, and blocks the view of the driver towards the right and the left while he/she drives. When turning right or left, i may hit something that i could not see because the mirror blocked it. Pictures attached.

Takata recallwell recently everytime i go in reverse to back out of a driveway or anything and i press the brake, i hear 2 popping or clicking noises. I doubt it has anything to do with the braking system or transmission. Possibly the suspension. No popping noises occur if i'm in drive and i brake. It'll do it whether i'm going in a straight line in reverse and brake, or if i'm turning in reverse and brake.

About 09-01-2018 when backing up, front breads started making a popping noise, had oil change on 12-06-2018 and brought it the service associate, they had it checked and said it was normal brake pad shift (documented on service record), this noise of popping is not normal for a car with 25000 miles. This vehicle should never have any noise from brake area, if a brake pad shift is normal there should be a fix in place to alliviate the noise

There is liquid leaking under the passenger's seat causing a horrible stench in the car. I took the car to downtown auto center in oakland, ca and worked with assistant service manager patrick who informed that this is a "known" issue with toyota but not covered by the warranty. He said that debris gets clogged in the air conditioning ventilation system causing the leak under the seat. He charged me $200 (reduced to $100 when i complained) to clear the line but did not fix the leaked water, ruined carpet or do anything about the horrible stench in the car. I am very disappointed in toyota for not covering this known issue in my 2017 camry with less than 25k miles.

I just see in detail of my car about the recall regarding the air bag and tire but no one contact me from dealer and manufacture. I am totally unaware about it. There is problem with airbag and i am driving this car since last 3 year oh my god. Nothing is happen yet.i just see the detail.

I was driving down the interstate on a rainy, cool day when i heard a loud explosion. Thinking it was a gunshot, i liked around the vehicle to make sure passenger was ok. I heard a windy sound and opened the sunroof cover panel to see that my entire sunroof is cracked to pieces. I rushed home and once exiting the car, i notice the glass on the sunroof looks to have exploded outwards. It is completely destroyed with no signs of impact or damage caused by driving. It was completely exploded from the inside out.

My driver side door lock actuator failed during warranty period feb, 2019. Now at 37,500 miles which is 1,500 miles over warranty the passenger side door actuator failed. Toyota refuses to acknowledge that they using defective parts or unreliable suppliers. Car is little over 2 years old and in my opinion this is not acceptable.i am downloading original repair document from february, 2019.

To use the defrost setting in the 2017 toyota camry, outside air must be on. I have never had this feature with any other car i owned and it is not like this in the 2018 models.this means when driving in rush hour traffic, you must have outside air on to run the defrosters. This causes exhaust to come in your car. Since i live in houston, tx with high humidity, running the defrosters is a common occurrence.this has caused me to have a headache many times.in 2017, it snowed in houston and to clear the windshield, you had cold outside air coming in.

Unknown part or parts of car.hesitation on acceleration, feels as though engine dying.has happened multiple times on streets, highways, turning, going straight.dangerous at times due to traffic.started within 4 months of purchase.reported to the dealer at the 10,000 mile service.said they could do nothing unless we paid.seems to be getting more frequent.

My sunroof makes a cracking noise whenever i drive over a bump in the road

Hoses to the air conditioning unit are located in the passengerfoot well which causes them to be kicked loosed at any time resulting in the passenger compartment flooding with refrigerant/coolant and other fluids.

Air bag has problem since feb 2017 but no one conatct me to fix that i just knew about it and would like to fix from the manufacture. Big question is it his there since last 3 year and i am still driving the same car omg.

I bought a new 2017 toyota camry xle in april 2017 and soon thereafter started noticing some unusual, unintended acceleration and jerking during slowing down/deceleration. The car jerks and tries to maintain speed against the driver's intention to slow down gradually and/or stop, specifically noticeable at 20 and 30 mph speeds. During slow down, seems like car switches gear abnormally to maintain speed when it's supposed to be slowing down gradually. It tries to maintain speed for an unusually long time instead of smoothly slowing down with no foot on accelerator pedal, causing too much use of brake over and over to slow it down and avoid collision with car in front of you, slow down or stop.i am contacting you after exhausting all my efforts to convince dealer and the toyota corporate office to have them take this 'unintended acceleration' safety concern seriously and do something about it. I am sure lots of 2017 camry owners are suffering and frustrated with the same issue, but cannot get anywhere with dealer tech services or toyota.

While coasting into a parking space my car accelerated hitting another car.

Whenever i want to back up the gear makes strange sound by switching to r gear from p.when i reach a certain speed limit my car vibrates for few seconds then it comes to normal.

During driving or from a stop the car hesitates to accelerate. On the dash board the rpm meter displays a jerking motion as well as the car physically. Usually occurs while driving long distances and when outside temperature is above 85f.

On 3/10/2018 around 7:25pm when i was very slowly pulling into my driveway my car accelerated suddenly, i was not pressing gas pedal and i was able to stop barely before it hit my garage door by stepping very hard on brakes. It would have been a major deadly accident if there were any children around. I thought toyota had addressed this issue but apparently it had not. I have a video recording of the event on my security camera.

I purchased this vehicle from d-276 adam's toyota in lee's summit on or about 8/9/2021. After 250 miles of driving i began to noticed a stutter in the shifting from first to second gear. No other incident was noticed for 2 to 3 days. I was on the interstate a few days later from the first stutter when it occurred again but more pronounced. I do remember that i was accelerating at about 40% throttle because i was in a rush, and i believed the throttle intensity played a role in the abruptness of the stutter. When i reached the interstate i came to a cruising speed of around 70 and engaged the cruise. I noticed that it was behaving oddly and it would shift often to control the speed it's almost as if it's tolerances are extremely tight. The hard shifting continues but now i know to go light on the throttle to minimize impact. As for the cruise control i will only use cruise control on relatively flat roads whereas it is extremely shifty on hilly roads. (opinion begins) i believe the adaptive cruise control should have wider tolerances i only see this as contributing to transmission degradation.

The contact leased a 2017 toyota camry. While driving at low speeds and making left turns, the accelerator pedal was depressed and traveled to the floorboard. The vehicle failed to respond and stalled without warning.the vehicle was taken to jeff wyler toyota of808 e lewis and clark pkwy, clarksville, in 47129: (812) 284-2277 but, was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 26,000. *dt

I was in an accident 10/29/18 which totaled my 2017 camry. I was trying to stop and the car accellerated and i hit the car in front of me.

I was trying to slow down at a stop light on a city street and when i hit the break the car accellerated and i hit the truck in front of me.

I have had my toyota camry approximately 8 months and have been complaining almost since the beginning that the auto dimming rear view mirror is not working properly. I have particular problems at dusk and dawn. I have been trying to get this resolved with toyota corporate customer service however they have been unresponsive. I find the bright lights are glaring and distracting and i have to tip the mirror down sometimes in order for it to be as safe as it should be in my opinion. Your help to resolve this matter would be appreciated!

When driving in the dark with headlights on the windshield visibility is split horizontally. You can see out of the lower portion of the windshield, but not the upper portion.

Please see the attachedimages.both front and rear windshield visibility is extremelyopaque.i including my friends who ever tried are getting headaches within less than 2 mins of driving.i am extremely worried for my safety(could be life or death) issue and distressed.after one whole week of trying to reach the dealer over phone, i physically went over to the dealer and then the dealer told me, "we can't make any decisions right now without consulting toyota".they also refusedto provide me temporaryloanervehicle.this brand new car is simply un-drivable.please advise.also attached is picture from side windows which is good clear, for comparison.
