2014 tiffin allegro motorhome/2013 ford chassis.consumer writes in regards to acceleration problems.the consumer stated as he started to accelerate from a stop at the end of the exit ramp, the rv would not accelerate. It seemed to be missing. After several cycles of pressing and releasing the accelerator, the engine ran smoothly and accelerated. Also, the brake system and brake reserve system warning lights illuminated on the 5th day of owing the rv. The consumer stated he experienced what was known as idle mode, which was the engine operation condition in which the engine would not accelerate by depressing the accelerator. The rv was taken to the repair shop. However, no error codes appeared for the problem the consumer described, but during a test drive, the mechanic was able to see, what the consumer was referring to, as the incident occurred 4 times. The dealer did determine the brake pressure switch was faulty, but the part was not available.the brake pressure switch was finally replaced. However, the warning lights continued to illuminate. The consumer stated the warning lights would come on several miles after start-up. After the engine was shut down, the lights would not illuminate immediately at start-up. Also, the brake pedal seemed hard, it required a lot of pressure, to bring the unit to a stop. Also, the rv was leaking power steering fluid. The dealer found a fitting at the bottom of the power steering pump loose.

Coachstep model 181174 30"single retractible step, bolt in mechanism sheared off rendering the step unusablenote:i was on step when it broke and was not injured rv was parked when it occured.
