On february 2nd 2020 as i was traveling on i-75 south heading home from cincinnati through kentucky at about mile marker 104 in kentucky we heard a rattling noise and a window on the driver side of my vehicle simply fell out onto the highway. Thank goodness no one was next to me or this could have been a serious accident. I immediately pulled over and walked back to where the window fell out and found a couple of pieces of the frame which i kept. I drove to exit 102 where i pulled off and found a place to park so that i could tarp over the window and continue on my way home

The entry door latch had a piece of plastic that broke off and got stuck and prevented us from opening the door. A locksmith gained entry and removed the plastic piece. My understanding is that this is an ongoing problem with thor motorhomes that has not been addressed by the manufacturer. We could have gotten stuck inside during a life safety emergency. I called the manufacturer and they said they would note it in our file. That doesn't help anyone else.there are a number of thor owners who have had this problem and posted on the thor motorhome owners facebook page.

While traveling down the road in a heavy down poor, the windshield wipers stopped working.we were able to pull off to the side of the road where i tried to resecure them but to no avail.i eventually got our rv to a service facility and the technicain told us this was a common problem and thor had a recall for this issue.we purchased this 2016 miramar new but never received a recall notice.

The contact owns a 2016 thor miramar rv with a 2015 ford super duty drw f53 chassis. The contact stated that the windshield wipers failed to operate in rainy or inclement weather. The contact had to pull over onto the road shoulder and wait for the rain or inclement weather to stop. The rv was taken to carolina campers and rv (1705 us-601 mocksville, north carolina 27028, (336) 753-0777) where it was diagnosed that the windshield wiper motor needed to be replaced. The windshield wiper motor was not replaced. The contact stated that the windshield wiper motor was previously replaced by an unknown dealer, but the repair did not correct the failure. The failure occurred for over three years. The contact also stated that he recently received a recall notice for nhtsa campaign number: 17v162000 (visibility). The manufacturer was contacted.
