After smelling a burnt smell, i investigated and found burnt and melted wire nuts within the power transfer switch.numerous same issues are reported on the thor rv blog site. It appears that theh wire nuts commonly used in household construction come loose when used in a moving vehicle.
Cspc: rv door latch broke. Was not able to exit the vehicle. Latch fractured and could not be actuatedby the handles. *dt

The contact owns a 2015 thor motor coach ace. When the contact attempted to open the main entrance door, the latched failed to open and fractured. The contact had to use pliers to get the lock to turn, but failed. The contact mentioned that the door knob was made of cast zinc. He attempted to remove the screw, but the door failed to open. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 15,000. The vin was unavailable.
