It was on friday morning on january 11th 2020 at 8.30am. I was slowly pulling into a parking space in front of my medical office where i have practiced for 21 years. I was in an outdoor parking deck. I touched the brakes to stop the car and the car suddenly accelerated forwards and hit a concrete wall in front of it. I know that i did not hit the accelerator. I was slammed into my steering wheel. My airbag did not deploy.i have been driving for 30 years and have driven a tesla for 5 years. I know the difference between the accelerator and the brake. Tesla claims that i put my foot on the accelerator and drove into the concrete wall. That is not what happened. I have serious safety concerns about what happened. The car was out of my control.
The contact owns a 2018 tesla model s. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 21v035000 (back over prevention, visibility, exterior lighting) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact had not experienced a failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that the part was not yet available. Parts distribution disconnect.
The vehicle downloaded tesla update on 12/27/20202. The firmware version is 2020.48.26. After the update was installed, the instrument panel above the steering wheel had very small illegible font. For example, the transmission shift indicator letters (p, d, r) were too small to read which is critical. Mph, and percentage of power remaining were also near illegible as well.
I dropped my personal tesla at tesla service to getan mcu/center screen failure repaired. As i left the lot, the screen in the loaner car rebooted itself. Apparently that is the precursor to failure. It feels weird knowing this car is probably about to fail the way mine did.
Touch screen goes disabling all visual communication, including air conditioning, rear camera, gps. Occurs while driving, and while parked (several times on start up). Have notified tesla several months ago,but have been told not to schedule replacement as they are short on parts.
The main console center screen in my would stop responding and will basically freeze up. The indicator clicker sound would stop working. The navigation system would remain stuck. The air conditioner would stop working. All these are happening while the driving. I have to reboot the screen by holding the 2 scroll buttons down and then the screen would go dark for 10 min before it starts working. I have bought this to service few times and they don't do anything saying everything is just fine.
The contact owns a 2018 tesla model s. The contact stated that while driving at very slow speed and parking, the vehicle suddenly experienced unintended acceleration causing the driver to lose control of the steering and crash into a transformer. No injuries were reported. A police report was taken at the scene. The vehicle was towed away. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer tesla of honolulu (1450 ala moana blvd, honolulu hi) was notified of the failure. The contact stated that after the vehicle was repaired the same failure had occurred while parking causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle and crash into a concrete wall. During the crash the driver sustained a chest injury due to the air bag deploying which required medical treatment. No police report was taken. The vehicle was towed away. The cause of the failure was not determined. The contact also stated that while driving the instrument display pad had suddenly blacked out on multiple occasions and the doors had failed to open on several occasions. The cause of the failures were not determined. The failure mileage was 7,410. Owner is extremely scared to drive again. Car is sitting in the garage. Worried about anyone driving the car may get into a fatal accident.*dt
This relates to a tesla warranty adjustment program notice issued november 09, 2020. There is a malfunctioning of a memory chip (embedded multimediacard which causes the screen to freeze or blackout or get fuzzy and does not allow you to make or save changes to the vehicle control touch screen. My car was reset to faculty default on november 23, 2020, without changing the chip, and the next day it failed again. I have scheduled a service visit for december 02 2020 with the expectation that the faulty chip will be replaced. Previously my screen had a yellow border that appeared from nowhere and the tesla service team used some sort of uv light to remedy the situation in june of 2020. At that time they told me if the yellow border reappears then the screen will need to be changed. At the june 2020 service visit they apparently also replaced, at no charge, a computer component. The screen failure i am reporting today began shortly after the june 2020 components were changed, approximately first noticed august 1, 2020. My ongoing concern is that this problem needs to be fully vetted and repaired during the warranty period as these components are quite expensive. Tesla owes its customers a definite fix of the screen and the onboard computer problems, and an assurance that the clock will restart on any repairs made under warranty (what i am proposing is that tesla does a good faith extension of certain of the vehicle's components so that customers are covered for problems not related to normal wear and tear for a reasonable period of time). Thank you.
My september 2018 build tesla model s experiences the same screen failures (both the dash + media control unit) as the recalled versions, but mine falls outside of the recall period. The latest incident occurred while i was driving on a desolate highway traveling at 85 mph. I lose my speedometer as well as features such gps which occurred once in an unfamiliar area.
The contact owns a 2018 tesla model s. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the instrument cluster and home screen was intermittently inoperable. The contact called a service center on several occasions and was informed that the failure was linked to a software update and a full onboard computer folder. Despite the repair, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
The contact owns a 2018 tesla model s. The contact stated that while still seated in the vehicle in the driveway after the vehicle was stopped and the gear shift lever placed in the park position, the front seat passenger attempted to exit the vehicle and the vehicle accelerated independently. The vehicle crashed into the vehicle parked in front. The vehicle then independently reversed and crashed into a tree. The vehicle eventually came to a stop after the contact released the brake pedal. Both the passenger and the driver exited the vehicle without injuries. A police report was not filed. The contact stated that the other vehicle sustained major body damage. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 7,700.
On at least 2 occasions, while driving the car, the electrical system stopped working. One time, the car just shut down at a stop sign nearby my office; the second time, while driving on the highway, the car continued to run but all of the other electrons: speedometer, turn signals, radio stopped working. When i pulled over, the entire car shut down. Both instances required a "hard stop" to re-start the car. The dealer informed me that this can happen when the software has not been recently updated. However, you need wi-fi to update the software and it is not readily available where i reside and park my car. I consider this situation extremely dangerous in that the car can spontaneously shut down while in use. I am taking the car into the dealer today-probably so they can upgrade the software on site. However, this does not address future potential issues with the car. I do not have the ability to routinely take the car into the dealership for upgrades. Further, there is no message from tesla when the upgrades are available. Please help. I really have no desire to die when the car stops working while driving it!
Twice recently while driving on highway at night, the car computer started failing.lights went out, turn signals didn't work, eventually the whole screen and dashboard that let you drive turned blank. I had to find a way to quickly pull to the side of the road and reset the car by pressing and holding the two buttons on steering wheel. This is a very unsafe condition.
Car was stopped prior to entering car garage. Car suddenly reversed then sped up autonomously and crashed into the home. Suspect car electronics compromised and endangered driver. Requesting investigation if car defect vs user error. Thank you !
The touch screen has become completely unresponsive/went dark. I first discovered the problem while the car was parked in the garage, infrequently used. This has been the case for the last 4 weeks, also rendering the mobile app unresponsive/unable to connect to my car. As a result, the ac has been stuck on, running continuously for a month since this issue started. My tesla service appt. Has been delayed twice due to replacement parts unavailable. This new article seems to describe the same problem my car (and others with the same model) is/are experiencing: https://apple.news/a3rf2d8agqo6j-cettn354g.
The contact owns a 2018 tesla model s. While approaching a red light, the speed increased and the vehicle failed to respond when the brake pedal was depressed. The vehicle drove through the traffic light and crashed into a vehicle that was making a left turn. The front driver's air bag and knee air bags deployed. The front driver's side curtain air bags had not deployed. The driver sustained shoulder and back injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The insurance company towed the vehicle to a collision repair facility. The dealer (san diego miramar tesla, 9250 trade pl, san diego, ca 92121, (858) 271-5100) was notified of the crash and the contact was waiting for feedback from the insurance company. The dealer and the manufacturer were waiting to retrieve the information from the electronic data recorder to investigate the cause of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 49.
I drove to work on may 2, 2019, and was trying to park in my allotted parking stall on the 3rd level of my office parking garage. My parking stall was along the outer edge of the garage and the only barrier to the outside was a set of three (about" diameter) cables strung between outside columns of the garage, besides a thin perforated corrugated metal sheet outside the cables, acting as a rain stop. I was trying to slowly turn right from the parking aisle to park between two pickup trucks on either side of my stall. When i had turned partway into my stall, my tesla suddenly accelerated into my parking stall at high speed, hit the outside cables, rebounded backwards and stopped about 10 feet from the outside cables. The cables saved me from plunging 3 floors down from the garage. There was extensive damage to the hood and front portions of my tesla. There was also some damage to the metal corrugated sheets outside the cables and a slight dent on the corner of the vehicle parked to my right.i have been parking in my office parking stall for about the past six months without any issue like this. I want to know why my car accelerated like that without warning and why the collision warning system was not triggered by the outside corrugated metal sheet. Also, there was an issue with my tesla the previous evening. When i tried to start my tesla after work, i got the 'systems are powering..' messageon the screen and my car would not start even after a long wait. Then, i had to google to find a way to reboot the car computer, by pressing two buttons on the steering wheel. On the day of the accident, i used the intermittent rain sensing wipers for the first time, as there was a light rain.my car is still in the body shop waiting for some back ordered parts. I have asked tesla to do a diagnostics to see if there were any software bugs in the system.
My car was fully engaged in auto park and it hit a car. I quickly braked to stop a worse collision.i patiently waited for tesla to review their logs.they insist the auto park was working without fault."the engineers have indeed said the autopark feature was operating without fault." i keep questioning them. "if the vehicle comes into contact with another vehicle does not mean the autopark feature is operating with fault,' says tesla.i reply,1. Would you clarify it and say that if the vehicle comes into contact with another vehicle with the auto park activated and the driver not grabbing the wheel to interrupt the process that the auto park feature is operating without fault?2. I repeat my question again. Do the engineers have any reason or proof to believe i activated the auto park incorrectly or in anyway interrupted the program to cause the accident?i understand they don't want to pay for repairs but i want them to eitheradmit the feature was at fault or convince me i did something wrong to cause the accident to help prevent another accident. I think other tesla drivers should be aware of how poorly this works.also, i had brought the car in beforehand telling them that i didn't believe the auto park worked correctly.a tesla salesperson also got in the car with me and agreed that the autopark did not seem to work. This proceeded the accident. Once again a report that the engineers see no fault.

Backup lights are inadequately bright at night, in dark situations allowing no ability to make out ground features when backing up.tesla has updated firmware and replaced camera with no improvement.safety defect of being unable to see behind car when backing up at night not fixed, seems to be a design problem with the car.

While driving on the expressway, cruise control was engaged at 65-70 mph for 3-5 minutes, until suddenly, the car slowed down all by itself to around 50mph with vibration and jerking. The brake was not depressed at all. No other cars were in front of me or around me at the time of incident
On several occasions both of my dashboard screens (driver cluster and center console) went blank while driving at a variety of speeds.i was unable to see my speedometer, back-up camera, control hvac, or any audio.i also was unable to use collision assistance, blind spot detection, autopilot, or, presumably, emergency braking.to regain control i had to reboot the vehicle while driving, which was hazardous to say the least.there does not appear to be any specific trigger to this outage other than the vehicle was in gear and moving forward.it happened during the day and at night.i reported this to tesla using their "report bug" feature in the vehicle, but i never heard anything back.this has occurred at least 6 or 7 times over the last year.the most recent incident occurred last week, 15-16 march.

As i was turning right into a parking space going at a very slow speed, the tesla suddenly accelerated to full speed.i did not press the gas or commit any other user error.i tried to apply the brake.however, because of this sudden unintended acceleration, i crashed into the building in front of me.

The car software has been modified and appears to be compromised. Settings related to safety and autopilot have been unstable. Driver profile does not work properly. Factory reset performed by tesla paramus and by switching email account doesn't not remove the malware. Personal data and malfunctioning of the car continue despite several complaints to tesla.
I had a 2018 tesla s.i was driving north on us 395 in lane 2 of a 4 lane divided highway at 0030 about 20 miles south of lone pine, ca.it was pitch black out.i was the driver of a tesla s in semiautonomous driver-assist mode.the road was going up hill and i clicked my turn signal to pass a semi trailer and my car went into the left lane and passed the truck.after going a significant distance in front of the truck and starting down hill and i clicked my turn signal to return to the right lane.the car went into the right lane and continued onto the right lane but continued abruptly onto the shoulder.it felt like the steering wheel turn to the right and we went off the road into a ditch 15-20 feet below.my hands were on the steering weal, a fact i can prove because i suffered a fracture of the third metacarpal head of my left hand, a fracture an orthopedist called an "airbag fracture".also there was busing of my distal digits of the fingers of my left hand.the car was a total loss.my wife who was sleeping at the time was in the front passenger seat and suffered significant trauma from her seat belt, a fracture of the lateral spine of c-7, bilateral first rib fractures, sternum fracture and a t-12 blowout fracture.i have copies of my x-ray of my hand fracture and a picture of the echymosis of my fingers.i reported the accident to tesla with the date and time of the accident and was told they would get back to me after investigating, but they haven't.

Here is a 2018 terdsla model s in the junkyard.https://www.iaai.com/vehicledetails/39010278?rownumber=13the front wheel has not just gone whompy it has snapped off entirely.this is not the result of crash damage. There is hardly a mark on the car and no air-bags have been deployed.the steering arm has snapped off.the steering knuckle has cracked in half. This is a casting failure.bad design bad manufacture and bad quality control.why no recall for these deadly defective tent built clown cars?yours in total disgust.keef
Multiple doorhandles are failing to be able to open the door from the outside when the door is unlocked i have a 2018 model s tesla and two of the doorhandles have failed already although the vehicle is unlocked when i pull on the door handle it's bears to open the door only way to open it is from the inside this could pose a potential safety hazard should i need to open the door from the outside

I was using the autosummon on my tesla.i had used the car to park itself so figured that it would be safe to try.car was close to a wall.car immediately moved forward and hit the wall.there was no time to stop it as it turned immediately.

Here is a tesla model s in the auction sale yardhttps://www.copart.com/lot/27340709the back lh suspension has snapped off completely.this does not appear to have been caused by impact damage, it has simply snapped off.close up picture shows that the suspension links and lower arm have snapped.this 2018 car is still fitted with the old style fragile links that are supposed to have been replaced with stronger ones as notified in tsb : https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/mc-10153421-9999.pdfthere seem to be many cars on the road that are still fitted with these weak parts.also the cast aluminium lower suspension arm has snapped.many similar failures have been reported.i intend to inform the media and motoring organisations about these failures and that nhtsa is failing to take any action.i am not an owner. I am a concerned citizen.a dummy usa address has been used to satisfy your website data entry requirements.my correct name and contact details are included with this submission.i have been informed that it is perfectly legitimate forv a non-owner and a non-usa resident to file complaints.thank you kindly.date of incident is an approximation.
Here's a 2018 in the junkyard : https://www.iaai.com/vehicledetails/38405473?rownumber=9back wheel has gone all whompy.as usual.you know what to do.get these lethal weapons off the roads.thank you.keef
1. Suspension problem, ongoing concern. 2. Excessive tire wear of unknown cause. 3. Driver screen for managing vehicle controls is faulty and hopefully being fixed via a warranty alert dated november 09, 2020. See attached document. My concern is that tesla is not forthcoming in solving this suspension problem. I would encourage your agency to investigate claims into model s vehicles produced through 2018 as well.
Here is another model x in the junkyard.https://www.copart.com/lot/53749689the front wheel and complete suspension has simply fallen off.this is not the result of crash damage.it is self inflicted injury caused by the wheel whomping around after the frail suspension fell to bits.please take action before more people get killed by these deadly defective jalopies.thank you.unhinged citizen.
Please note...i have used the vin of another random junkyard tesla since i do not know the vin of the car which is the subject of this complaint.posted today on the tmc.an owner's wheel has gone whompy and is scraping on the inside of the wheel arch and making alarming noises.tesla service tell him to go fly a kite.https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/left-front-chamber-link.172715/zafra88, 34 minutes agolong story short my front driver tire is rubbing on the inner fender wall when turning right and makes a loud noise.brought to the sc and they said alignment needs to be done to fix the issue.was told alignment can't be done because the "chamber link" was damaged to outside impact.first what is the chamber link, possibly a typo and meant camber link?that is not a control arm is it?they told me this is not covered by warranty because of this outside impact but how can they prove there was outside influence and not a defective part?attached is the write up ..... Concern - client states squeaky metal noise from right front wheel.........please investigate.enraged citizen etc.
Here is a tesla in the junkyardhttps://www.iaai.com/vehicledetails/37354819?rownumber=22the back wheel and suspension has fallen to bits. No crash damage. Just the suspension parts cracked and snapped.despite teslas claim that only a small number of tesla model year cars that were exported to china need to be recalled because of bad roads and drivers in china this problem is affecting every tesla around the world.tesla design, manufacturing and quality control is faecal.nhtsa has received hundreds of complaints about this.when will you stop covering up for elon musk and demand a recall of these deadly cars?it is absurd for tesla to merely issue obscure technical service bulletins and to claim that suspension failures do not pose a safety risk.recall these time-bombs immediately.thank you.keef
Design flaw on the rear suspension set up causes excessive tire wear on the inside of the tires. Very likely goes without being detected even by the service centers and can cause serious accidents due to tire blow outs specially on freeway drives.
The contact owns a 2018 tesla model s. The contact stated that while driving on autopilot, the vehicle pulled to the left and struck the freeway center divider. The contact stated that the driver's side front suspension was fractured. The vehicle was towed to an independent body shop but was not diagnosed nor repaired. No warning light was illuminated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact was concerned that the insurance company declined to accept liability. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer to be diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 19,514.*dt
This a complaint about the tesla suspension forelinks which are still snapping off and causing danger to the public.at least three new cases of failure have been reported within the last few weeks.despite forum posters urging the owners to report their failures to nhtsa the owners have not done so.pressure from tesla supporters to "support the mission" andfinancial self-interest mean that these failures are being under-reported.here is a discussion forum about this :https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/another-front-suspension-control-arm-failure.114967/page-7#post-4035913**snip**i believe i've joined the "club", too. 2017 tesla s 75d with <13,500 miles is in the shop now after having it towed last night. The service rep let me know that while they're not done inspecting it - they've determined it's "fully covered under warranty".my story is similar to most. On way home from work yesterday, my car started making strange noises at low speeds, uphill and/or around these "islands" seattle has at cross streets in neighborhoods to slow traffic. I got home, made an online service center appt for next week. Went out again and then the "catastrophic" failure began. I had to drive a bit (guessing a half mile) before i could find a safe spot and one big enough to pull over. Tire is gouged horribly. Metal showing through wheel well, car appeared to be sitting on wheel, but hard to see clearly.for anyone who thinks this is due to "rough" driving - i politely suggest you stfu. I baby my car. **please take action.note: vin of random tesla in wrecking yard used in this report
Here is a tesla model s in the junkyard.there is hardly any impact damage to the bodywork. No air-bags have been deployed.the cast alloy steering knuckle has cracked in half.the only possible way for that to happen is if there is a casting flaw during manufacture.this is a heavy high performance car that is frequently driven hands free on so called autopilot. Having such badly made weak suspension parts only adds to the danger.will you please investigate this case and that of so many other tesla suspension failures.thank you.keef
Here is atesla model s in the junkyard.https://www.copart.com/lot/26038980/photos\it has been in a rollover and is badly damaged.the back right hand wheel and complete suspension has fallen off and the bodywork in that area shows damage consistent with the wheel being ejected through the wheel well.given the huge number of cases of tesla suspension failures it seems highly likely that the loss of a wheel is what caused the rollover and is not simply the result of crash damage.for many other examples of tesla suspension breakages go here https://twitter.com/hashtag/whompywheelsnot just in america. Teslas are going whompy all over the world.please investigate.thanks.keef
This is a complaint about tesla broken suspensions.here is the latest example... [xxx]please note that i have used the vin of another tesla in the junkyard which "quelle surprise" also has a whompy wheel.it seems strange that teslawould prefer to deny that there is a weakness in the suspension components rather than admitting it and fixing the problem.to anyone that has been following the antics of elon musk recently it comes as no surprise.it seems unlikely that the owner will be filing a complaint since he has been informed that he is driving the safest car in the world!these tesla suspension breakages have been happening over and over for many years.your own database has hundreds of valid reports concerning this.i strongly recommend that you launch an investigation.thank you.enraged citizen.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
Here is a tesla in the junkyard.https://www.iaai.com/vehicledetails/37354819?rownumber=42it is not badly damaged, just that the back wheel and suspension has fallen off.you can see perfectly clearly in the photographs that this is a self-inflicted injury caused by snapped suspension links.using extruded aluminium and low quality cast parts is a recipe for disaster.tesla has a culture of cover-up. Employees are indoctrinated to defend the mission. They are under illegal electronic surveillance and do notdare to blow the whistle. Lives are at stake.please take action.thank you.keef
Here is a tesla in the junkyardhttps://www.iaai.com/vehicledetails/36845198?rownumber=5the only damage is to the front lh side.the steel bumper attachment bar is undamaged which suggests that the damage was not the result of a frontal impact.regardless of the cause of the damage the fact is that once again the cast monkey-metal steering knuckle has fractured in half.the car also does appear to be bottomed out on its air suspension.teslas do not have any limit stops on the suspension.it is quite probable that the mcu failures that are under nhtsa investigation are contributing to the problem.here is a thread in which another owner reports a fractured steering knuckle but the absurdly low suspension height is blamed on a third party lowering kit.(car was a recently purchased cpo from tesla)https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/front-drivers-steering-knuckle-fractured-while-driving-at-55mph-video.199103/snip ** i haven't heard of this before, and it doesn't seem common. I'm assuming a casting defect caused a crack that propagated into a complete fracture. Luckily my dashcam shows that this wasn't caused by hitting anything, as i'm sure that's the likely reason sc would give for a casting to fracture like that.35k mi, 2016 p90d **tesla has redesigned this knuckle at least 3 times.the older versions have not been recalled.even the new versions are still snapping.you know what to do.so please do it.regardskeef (the unhinged)
There is loud clanking noise from the front of the car. Tesla service center said they must replace front sway bar and links. That was in december 2020. They still do not have those parts. Driving with damaged sway bars requires being super alert when changing lanes or turning. However, one cannot guarantee it 100% of the time. Tesla says that this is a minor noise issue. I would like them to fix the issue soon (not have to wait 6+ months).
Tesla in salvage yard.https://www.iaai.com/vehicledetails?itemid=34608873&rownumber=43&similarvehicleitemid=&isnext=&loadrecent=truealloy steering knuckle has simply snapped in half.where do they make these parts?willy wonka's chocolate factory?can you please get these contraptions recalled.thank you keef
I was driving home on the freeway. On my right was an exit ramp and in the left lane there was not another vehicle. Suddenly the warning buzzer went off and the car pulled sharply to the right. I quickly corrected to the right. It scared me. In addition i came home and drove into my garage like i always do. The buzzer went off again telling something was in the way and shifted itself into park. I got out of car and checked to see if anything was in the way. There was not.i called tesla stating these things were safety issues. They wanted me to drive the car in to the service center. I told them my 3 and 6 year old grandkids where staying with me and i did not feel safe doing that. After calling continuously for 2 days, a loaner was brought to my house and my tesla was driven (not towed) to costa mesa service center.

It is not possible to load the curvedata from your database.
I dropped my personal tesla at tesla service to getan mcu/center screen failure repaired. As i left the lot, the screen in the loaner car rebooted itself. Apparently that is the precursor to failure. It feels weird knowing this car is probably about to fail the way mine did.
I am the owner of a 2018 tesla model p100d. On dec 17 at approximately 11:40 am i and a business associate were driving to my home at 804 duke street, alexandria, va.my associate was driving approximately 1-2 miles/hour and starting to park.the parking location isin front of a brick wall.while coming to our final stop the tesla began to accelerate on its own as though the gas was punched (it was note). The car thrust forward and slammed into the wall, destroying a part of the wall and damaging the front of the tesla.the air bags did not engage and we were not injured.the car simply accelerated on its own.i reported the incident to tesla but they have not responded.
My vehicle electroncs freeze and am unable to use the indicators the vehicle went to the dealer and they sent back sayin the future software update will resolve this issue. I hav me video of the incident
Car was stopped prior to entering car garage. Car suddenly reversed then sped up autonomously and crashed into the home. Suspect car electronics compromised and endangered driver. Requesting investigation if car defect vs user error. Thank you !
Touchscreen became inoperative while driving which impacts driving while in auto pilot.i contacted tesla service and got the run around.
There has been so many malfunctions, deaths and fires caused by tesla's auto pilot feature. So many governmentinvestigations are going on, andthe result of some investigations that have been completed sounds alarming. Tesla's auto pilot feature is under intense government scrutiny. Today, elon announced that all tesla cars will be fully automated driverless in august. Elon has become desperate, insane and dangerous. He has no regard for public safety. Is he crazy? are you kidding me? please stop this dangerous and fraudulent man, and put him in prison forever. He is irrational, cruel and lethal. It reminds me of president assad of syria using chemical weapons on his own people. It also reminds me of saddam hossein using chemical weapons on kurdish people and on iranian soldiers during iran iraq war. Please keep in mind that it's against the law to use chemical weapons in a conventional war. However, saddam hossein did so and killed so many iranian soldiers during the 8 year war between iran and iraq. I saw pictures of so many iranian severely injured and burned soldiers being air lifted to germany from the war zone, because iran didn't have the medical capability to handle this situation. Nothing can be done anyways. Once you are exposed to mustard gas, you're finished. It's just the matter of quick death, or very painful prolonged death. Elon now has turned to chemical weapons out of desperation just like saddam hossein and bashar assad. Thanks.
The latest model s software update shrank the size of the font of several critical pieces of information on the digital dashboard. These include the gear selection (park, drive, etc), the remaining battery charge (fuel tank equivalent), exterior temperature and time. I am no longer able to rapidly identify this key information without extra effort or putting on reading glasses. Last week, while at an entrance to the parking garage at work, i advancedbecause i thought my access badge had opened the gate. Unfortunately, it (the gate) came down before i had a chance to enter the garage. I backed up, reapplied my key card, but failed to identify i was still in reverse. When i started to attempt to go forward, i failed to notice due to the small font that i had not successfully returned to forward drive and almost backed up into the car behind me waiting their turn to enter the garage. I also now have difficulty in parking lots confirming whether i am in drive, park or reverse when attempting to maneuver. The tiny font is a major safety concern!! i have checked on the tesla website owner forums and this problem is that widespread for 'middle aged and older' owners. There was even a post by an opthalmologist (md) that this was dangerous and unacceptable.
Screen went black while driving, could not use backup camera or use any of the controls on the screen. Tried to reset by pressing both scrolls on the steering wheel but did not work. It has happened more the once.
I was using the autosummon on my tesla.i had used the car to park itself so figured that it would be safe to try.car was close to a wall.car immediately moved forward and hit the wall.there was no time to stop it as it turned immediately.
On april 17, 2020 around noon while driving on the far left lane of interstate 495 at about 55 mph, my right rear window shattered unexpectedly. There were no indication of anything hitting my car as no cars were beside, in front, or behind me at the time of incident. After doing some research on the incident, i learned that other tesla users have had the same incident happen to them involving the same right rear back window.
I was driving my tesla model s in los angeles freeway using autopilot at approximately 60 mile/hour. Suddenly car stop tracking the road and turn left. Even though i tried to control the car i was too late and car hit the middle divider. I have reported this issue to tesla.
The contact owns a 2018 tesla model s. While attempting to park the vehicle, it independently accelerated and crashed into a wall. The air bags deployed. A police report was not filed. The contact sought medical attention ten days later for a sternal fracture. The tesla buena park dealer (6692 auto center dr., buena park, ca 90621, (714) 735-5696) was contacted and the vehicle was towed to a tesla approved facility to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the on board diagnostic testing reported that the accelerator pedal was depressed at the time of the crash. The contact was also informed that the automated features, including the cruise control were unable to have induced the accelerated response. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 214.
The contact owns a 2018 tesla model s. The contact stated while shifting into park, the vehicle suddenly accelerated forward and impacted into the wall of a building. The front of the vehicle was damaged as well as the building causing its electric to shut off. No warning light was illuminated. The contact was asked about the air bag deployment and confirmed that the air bags did not deploy. The contact did not sustained any injuries or seek medical attention. It was unknown if a police report was filed. The vehicle was drivable after the impact. The contact stated she contacted her insurance company and had the cosmetic repairs performed at an approximate $5,000 repair cost. The manufacturer and dealer had not been informed of failure. The failure mileage was 12,000.
The contact owns a 2018 tesla model s. While attempting to make a left turn from a parking space, the vehicle accelerated backwards in a tight circle. The vehicle struck some trees on the passenger side and crashed into another vehicle that was parallel parked on the same street. There was no warning indicator illuminated. A police report was filed. There were no injuries. The vehicle was damaged and towed to a tow yard. The contact called the manufacturer and was connected to tesla roadside assistance. The contact requested the dealer. Tesla (831-264-6896, located at 1901 del monte blvd, seaside, ca 93955) was notified, but did not assist. The contact did not know if the vehicle was totaled. The cause of the failure was not determined. The failure mileage was 4,757.
As i was turning right into a parking space going at a very slow speed, the tesla suddenly accelerated to full speed.i did not press the gas or commit any other user error.i tried to apply the brake.however, because of this sudden unintended acceleration, i crashed into the building in front of me.
I was at a parking lot and i was making my way into a slot when i first had to reverse them when i changed the gear the drive and released the breaks to move forward into the slot i suddenly accelerated and had to press on the breaks harder than ever because i thought at first i was releasing it too fast. But eventually i screeched into a full stop and avoided hitting the cars parked and worse going over the street onto incoming traffic. I noticed tire marks that my breaking had made at the lot.
The car unintended accelerated when i pulled into garage and wait for garage door open. The sudden acceleration is totally out of control, even my foot firmly step on the break pedal. The accelerated car went through the garage door towards right, and hit and lift the other parked suv inside the garage. The speed and force push the suv towards the back of garage wall, and totally damaged the part of my garage.
As i was parking the car, the car suddenly accelerated without warning, went over the curb and hit a tree at high speed. The air bags deployed during the crash and the front of the car was badly damaged. I smelt smoke in the car after the accident. We got off the car immediately afraid of the battery going into flames. The car had to be towed away.this was such an unusual event and a freaky accident as the car accelerated as i was parking it. The car came to a stop before it accelerated at high speed and i lost control of the car. It must be an error in the car's technology.
While driving on the expressway, cruise control was engaged at 65-70 mph for 3-5 minutes, until suddenly, the car slowed down all by itself to around 50mph with vibration and jerking. The brake was not depressed at all. No other cars were in front of me or around me at the time of incident
I was using the autosummon on my tesla.i had used the car to park itself so figured that it would be safe to try.car was close to a wall.car immediately moved forward and hit the wall.there was no time to stop it as it turned immediately.
Car was stopped prior to entering car garage. Car suddenly reversed then sped up autonomously and crashed into the home. Suspect car electronics compromised and endangered driver. Requesting investigation if car defect vs user error. Thank you !
I was pulling into a parking spot in a place i park on many occasions, had my foot off the accelerator, to put on the brake, and the car suddenly accelerated, went up over the curb, and almost down an embankment.i was able to stop the car before that happened.
I entered the stationary car and turned it on. The windshield and all interior glass immediately fogged making visibility nearly zero. The inside of the windshield became extremely wet. Wiping the moisture only resulted in immediate fogging of the windshield. I set the front and rear defrosters on maximum and only a 8 inch semi circle at the bottom of the windshield in-front of the driver and passenger would defog. I reset the computer and nothing changed. After 20 minutes i called the emergency service number for tesla. They could not help me because i had already done everything. The the tesla parked next to me had a similar experience only resetting the computer corrected the problem. Ipreviously owned the same model tesla and had the same problem several times and the service department located in cincinnati could not find a problem or solution.
