The contact owns a 2019 tesla model 3. The contact stated while driving in auto pilot at 65 mph in the rain, the vehicle began to drift to the left and then it spun out of control causing the vehicle to crash into a medium guard rail. There was no other vehicle involved in the crash. The air bags did not deployed, a unknown warning light did illuminate from the vehicle.the contact was the only one in the vehicle. The contact was not seriously injured however they had whiplash around their neck, but there was no medicalattention or treatment for the injury. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to manufacturer dealer tesla(7101 glenwood ave, raleigh, nc 27612).the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. At approximately 1800 hours on june 3 2020 the vehicle was traveling under the speed limit on a residential street.at a cross street, an suv failed to make a stop at a posted stop sign and struck the vehicle on the right passenger rear quarter, spinning it 270 degrees and propelling it into a wall across the street from the lane of impact.the driver, the only occupant was not injured.the driver of the suv fled the scene of the accident.police were called and responded to the scene.a police report was filed.the car was evaluated as a total loss by the insurance appraiser.importantly, the rear passenger airbags did not deploy on impact.

My car was five weeks old. While i was driving home on my commute i realize the screen had froze, and then suddenly blacked out. I thought it was asoftware update as i am a family that owns tesla, but it wasn't because suddenly the ability to steer and break or compromised and the car had sped without any indication as to why. I reported it to tesla and the earliest they could set for an appointment with several weeks later. Within one week of this incident initially occurring, this happened again during traffic and my car instead of breaking, increased tremendously and smashed into a car in front of me. I had contacted. Tesla letting them know that the first time this happened i was very lucky because i wasn't on the highway, but 95% of my commute is on major highways in the bay area. I said this could be dangerous and i really think this needs to be looked up faster, i got zero response. So when this happened there was absolutely nothing i could do and i rolled and sprained my ankle very aggressively. Not only that but all of the airbags in the entire car malfunctioned even though i was able to focus the brunt of the damage to the right front. Unfortunately one of the back windows didn't open nor did the passenger lower airbag. There was no one in the passenger seat but if there was that would have not gone off and that's not ok. There was no reason for this to happen and there were no updates on software that needed to happen and the car was five weeks old. Tesla has refused to provide me with their data and i have an ssd that shows my car shut down.

I am female safe driver with clean driving records, my tesla was third car stopped at traffic light on dec 19th in the city street, and all of sudden, i strongly believe that it triggered unintended spontaneous acceleration that resulted in accident with two cars ahead of me, damaged all 3 vehicles including mine, i pushed the brake immediately & parked before all airbags in my car deployed. I tried to prove my point to the insurance that its not my fault but its a car that became uncontrollable due to probably some kind of nightly automatic software update or a mechanical problem but insurance didn't agree and forced me to agree that i did it !

My wife was trying to park the car in our garage when the car suddenly sped up and hit our inner garage wall. It then reversed back and hit the wall a second time. Then it automatically reversed and parked on the neighbor's driveway. Both the sterling air bag and airbag near the feet deployed. The car's front was smashed. Our garage wall and door are also badly damaged. I have asked tesla to investigate if it was because of the autopilot taking over but have not received a response from them yet after more than a week.

I was moving forward at ~15 mph over a set of railroad tracks on a city street when both electric motors stopped working bringing us to a halt on the tracks. The car would not switch into neutral to allow it to be pushed off of the tracks nor would it release the brakes until put into tow mode which required 4-5 people to push at that point.there were no steps displayed to get the car into a mode that would allow it to move.

I previously submitted a concern with this car that occurred in december 2019. Tesla in milford, ct had the car in service for 23+ days because of errors with the car: alert messages included (but weren't limited to) power reduced, front motor disabled, etc. The car kept powering off while i was driving and the brakes and steering malfunctioned.tesla ultimately diagnosed the problem as a "shorted penthouse harness." two weeks after receiving the car back, the error messages reappeared. The car broke down again and had to be towed back to tesla in milford, ct. While tesla indicated that the prior issues were resolved, they obviously weren't. The car shut down again while i was driving on the interstate and also in the city.the brakes and steering didn't function properly. I received error messages indicating power reduced, brakes disabled, power steering disabled, front motor disabled, automatic emergency braking disabled, car may be free rolling--just to name a few.this car is unsafe and unreliable. As of today, the car has been in service for 28+ business days; however, tesla told me they worked on the car over the weekend, which would indicate the car has been in service over 30 days.

When warming the cabin, rear vents will often blow very hot air, sometimes in excess of 100f, compared to the front vents. Even during the summer when the front is blowing cold air, the rear will still blow hot air.

My vehicle is experiencing wire issues resulting in error messages such as "power reduced, front motor disabled, etc" that disable safety features such as the turning signals and issues with braking and steering.the vehicle will power off/shut down while driving and restart.the car is currently in service for the past 2 weeks and other than notifying me that there are "wire issues," tesla has been unable to diagnose the cause of the problem or fix it.

This occurred this past saturday in a nordstrom rack parking lot in dallas. My reason for being at this shopping center was to do a quick return at nordstrom's rack.i opened the back door of my tesla and grabbed my return.i walked away from my car, believing that the smart locking system would secure the contents of the car and the vehicle itself. I was in the store for approximately fifteen minutes.when i returned to my car and opened the back passenger door to put in the empty nordstrom's bag, there was a man hiding in my back seat, under my dog's blanket.he was wearing black gloves and was holding my tesla charger in his hands. I screamed and two young girls came over to try to help.we backed away from the vehicle.the man then crawled into my trunk from the back seat, popped open the trunk from the inside and climbed out.he looked at me, shaking his head, and called me crazy over and over again while security was present.he wandered away for an hour and forty-five minutes.security kept an eye on him while waiting for dallas police to arrive.police caught up with him after he wandered back to the same vicinity. The police took a case report, found out that the suspect had warrants out for his arrest, handcuffed the man and put him into the police car.i don't feel safe when i leave my vehicle, and this should never have happened. Here are my issues: obviously, my doors did not lock as soon as i closed them.there is about a five to ten second pause until i completely walk away from the car before it actually locks.that is how this man got into my back seat.he could have strangled me with my charger, raped me, and then killed me, and not one person would have ever seen him. I am not sure how i should proceed.i do know that every tesla owner should be aware of this dangerous occurrence.

The only display in the car locked up, turned off, and turned back on approximately a minute later while i was backing up which caused loss ofall readout including the back up camera, mph, access to many other vehicle features. I reported this to their service group with a date/time stamp for them to identify and repair the problem but was told that they would not look at this under warranty but they could provide an estimate to have the problem corrected at my expense. This is a safety issue and should be covered under the new car's warranty.the one and only display should never lock up while the vehicle is moving but if it does, service should take all reports of this occurring very seriously.

The contact owns a 2019 tesla model 3. The contact stated that while charging the vehicle, the contact was coughing and had sinus issues. The contact's wife informed the contact that she had difficulty breathing while driving the vehicle. The contact stated that there may be an ozone leakage from the battery, underneath the vehicle and the fumes came into the cabin. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unavailable.

I was parking in my drive way. I thought i placed the car in park . My foot was on the brake.so i opened the driver door. When i took my foot off brake the car lunged forward.the door was opened and i had both feet outside the door. I tried to push the park button .the car went into reverse. This caused the driver door to impact the building and damadge the door.

I just bought the new tesla model 3 last week for long run battery but it's not giving me full rang of miles and dropping crazy amount of battery . The way tesla istelling the people about mileage , it's not working that way , i have long rang mileage and it's supposed to give 310 mileage after full charge and that's only reason i bought this car because every day i'm driving around 200 to 270 mileage . Buttrue is it not giving me that mileage at all and just giving me only 230to 250 all together after my full charge whole night , and so i have to stop by somewhere every day to charge my car to go home with enough mileage . For me it's doesn't not make any sense at all since you are buying long range distance car and you are not getting what you accepting .

Driving on highway 280, the auto-pilot stopped working and driving became erratic and unsafe with random accelerations/decelerations. I had no choice but to keep on driving. Tesla kept confusing me with their service arrangements while i needed to use the car every day. It took a week to arrange for service. The car sat for a week at the dealership with no communication from tesla. Then they sent a laconic request to pay them $1,070 --- while i know my car, being 10 months old is under warranty.mice ate a wire within theauto-pilot cables. Tesla claims this damage isn't covered by warranty!the damaged cables are in a compartment which is completely unprotected against mice or anything. It should have been protected with at least a metal mesh. I asked why isn't that compartment protected to prevent rats/mice from entering it; after all, 300+ million american garages have cars and mice co-located... Their answer: 'that's the auto-industry standard'. My reaction: "i did not buy my car from the auto-industry standard; i bought it from tesla (which completely deviates from the "industry standards!)"i am requesting tesla to issue a 'recall' for installing a metal mesh around the sensitive auto-pilot cabling compartment. Also, i am requesting a full refund of my expenses, plus compensation for the frustration and for the various troubles i had to go through.the no.1 problem with tesla's supposed 'service' is that they obviously believe that tesla cars do not need any service. Here is their email to me from 10/15/20: "your tesla service invoice is ready for review.please review and accept the tesla service invoice for your visit. Review and accept ". I cannot access that contents anymore. The email simply said accept this charge of $1,070 without explaining anything about the reason for the damage.thank you, yair barniv

This incident happened because of sudden acceleration issue in tesla mode 3 in our parking lot. I was parking between 2 cars on my right. So, was really slow. While turning there was a sudden acceleration and the vehicle was at a high speed. Since, i was turning, the car rotated at the high speed and in the process my car hit car on my left, 3 cars on my front. There was severe damage to my car and a flat tire. Fortunately, no people were affected. When the accident happened, all systems stopped functioning.

The high voltage battery the new car was purchased with had damage to the 4 jack points that required the battery pack to be replaced. The original battery would charge to the full range purchased, however, the new battery that was installed will not charge to the full amount of range purchased. I brought this up to service before i picked up the car from service. They tried to get it to fully charge multiple times but it would not. I asked to see the battery health report and they declined. If you purchase a new car with x amount of range, when the battery is charged to 100%, it should display the range you paid for. They told me if i was unhappy with the range, i was free to file an arbitration claim. On the way home i almost ran out of battery and could have really used the extra capacity that i purchased.

White block appeared on screen, would not clear.blocked visibility of any displays under the block, including gear selector, speed, energy status, turn signals, most of any other display, such as maps, camera display.block remained when we left the car, and returned.only could clear w/ display reset, which i uncovered once i returned home and looked online.white block did not appear to impact driving, but obscured basically every driving feedback you'd expect from a dashboard.

The contact owns a 2019 tesla model 3. The contact stated that he purchased the special feature adaptive auto pilot back in 06/2020. The contact stated that the automatic emergency braking activated independently while driving 65 mph, almost bringing the vehicle to an abrupt stop three times on the same day. The brake pedal was depressed to deactivate the feature, allowing for the vehicle to accelerate. The vehicle was taken to tesla (840 providence hwy, dedham, ma 02026 (781) 471-3001) to be diagnosed. The mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The manufacturer suggested that the feature be turned off. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 14,000.

While driving through my work place parking lot, my tesla suddenly stopped and displayed a fault code and requesting immediate return of the car to a tesla service center. My car would not unlock the doors when i tried to exit, either via the touch screen unlock icon, electric door unlock button, or using my phone app. I ended up using the emergency door open latch to get out of the car to call for assistance. I closed the door behind me but was unable to reenter the car. Tried my key card and my phone app to unlock it but to no avail. The car ended up having to be tow away.

The driver was involved in a fatal accident in which the auto-pilot and/or lane-assist features failed, causing the vehicle to travel out of its lane and into oncoming traffic while traveling west on osceola polk line road east of sullivan road in florida. The tesla then collided with a vehicle in oncoming traffic, killing the driver of the tesla. Florida highway patrol and osceola county firerescue investigated.

The back up camera video feed has purple and green vertical lines that goes through it intermittently like there is a short. The issue was reported to service via email with a picture for them to be able to identify and repair the problem at a future service appointment. I was then told via txt that this was not a warranty issue and they could only provide an estimate to have the problem corrected at my expense.having a faulty backup camera feed is definitely a safety concern when you are trying to use it to back up. They should take these reports seriously and not dismiss them.

Immediately prior to downgrade my tesla model 3 configuration from standard plus (240 max charge limit) to standard configuration (220 max charge limit), i could charge to 239 charge limit.at the downgrade, in conjunction with a software update, after the synchronization/calibration period took place, my new configuration of standard had a charge limit of only 207/208 at 100% charge, which is an immediate loss of charging limit of 31+.this is a 50% greater drop in charge limit than was agreed.the charge limitation was supposed to be only a 20 miles drop, but it ended up being 31+ drop in charging limit.my battery is and has always been in good health.the method of reduction in charge limitation was originally communicated to be a simple software limit.however, i was later told that the limit in charge level was achieved by actually turning off cells within the battery block.if turning off cells is in fact the method used to limit the charging capacity of the battery, then it is very concerning since not only is it a fraudulent removal of capacity - but a much greater drop in charging capacity than the charge capacity i purchased - but it also leaves me in a situation where i can only charge to 166 miles to maintaining my battery's health condition at the recommended max 80% charge level.at an 80% charge level of the now 207/208 100% maximum charge limit i will only get 166 charge.at 80% of my standard configuration i would have been able to charge to 176.if i had known this artificial and fraudulent reduction in charge limit would have been imposed i would have not downgraded to standard.the charge limit on the non-downgraded standard plus configuration has been increased to 250 from 240.so, today without the downgrade my 80% charge limit would be 200 instead of 166 - a 34 charge increase - or - a 43 increase at 100% charge limit!!

The only display in the car will turn off while driving. This causes a loss of all readout. You lose the speed you are traveling, hvac, backup camera, safety warnings, etc. This has happened over and over. This has been reported to tesla and they declined to fix it under warranty when first reported at approx 1500 miles. This is not a road legal car when the only display intermittently stops working for an undetermined amount of time while in use.

Autopilot was engaged. The tesla vehicle sensors failed to recognize 2 parked vehicles on the right side of the street while driving, and collided with them. Anti-collision mechanism and auto-braking failed to apply, resulting in collision.

I am very disappointed and shocked from what happened last december 10, 2019 (tuesday).at around 5:50 am, i am slowly driving at the parking lot of my office at stryker corporation in san jose, ca.i am slowly parking my car and then there's a sudden unintended acceleration on my car which i cannot even control or stop.the acceleration speeds up automatically on its own even if i'm stepping on the brake.due to the speed up on the acceleration, the car went over the curb with so much speed and moved towards the tent which is the smoking area in our work.the windshield of my car broke when it hit the tent and the car still moved to the other side of the island.luckily, my car landed on a bucket of cement which helped my car to stop.it was really a terrifying incident which i didn't expect to happen because my car is new and i thought that it's the smartest and safest car.i have a dash camera on my car and i have a video of the whole incident that will prove that my statements are true.

1. In three occasions while using fsd i approached red lights but the vehicle did not initiate a stop. I took control to do so. 2. Yesterday the car seemed to reboot. It was about 9pm, quite dark at 70 or 80mph on i80 in a construction area. The headlights stayed on and the car continued driving but the dash went black as it seemed to fail, and then seemed to reboot with the "t" coming back up before the full dash came up again.

On june 6th, 2021, we were driving home in our 2019 tesla model 3.we were at the intersection of 7th street and 36th avenue in moline, illinois. We were stopped on 36th avenue heading east trying to turn north onto 7th street. We were stopped behind another vehicle when our tesla started creeping slowly forward toward the vehicle in front of us. My wife, who was driving, stepped on the brake.but instead of stopping, the tesla suddenly accelerated, careening off the car in front of us and then heading into the intersection at full speed. My wife was able to avoid hitting two vehicles on 7th street in the intersection, but then hit a steel stoplight pole across the intersection. The right front passenger tire was torn off the tesla and the airbags deployed. No one was hurt. But we damaged two other vehicles and totaled our tesla. My wife insists that she did not hit the accelerator pedal. I believe i remember when she attempted to stop the car, she might have accidentally bumped the control behind the steering wheel that activates the adaptive cruise control. I do not know. But the adaptive cruise control should not activate under 35 mph. The moline police department investigated the accident and issued report number 2021005635. You can download this report on https://buycrash.com. I have seen other reports on sudden unintended acceleration from tesla's and wanted to report this incident.

Front facing camera, used by autopilot, obscured by contaminant on the inside of the windshield. Autopilot engaged without warning, even though the front facing camera was significantly impaired due to the contaminant. Contaminant appear to be glue residue based upon tackiness. The front facing camera is surrounded by an anti reflection enclosure. Upon inspection, the anti reflection enclosure was significantly degraded and broke into many pieces while being serviced. As this enclosure is designed to absorb light, itā€™s likely getting extremely hot during the summer months in a car parked facing the sun.

We were driving our model 3 on autopilot on the lie from southampton to new york. We have the ā€œfull self drivingā€¯ software from tesla. We drove past a parked suv about halfway through the ride, but the tesla did not notice. It drove straight through the side of the suv, ripping off the side mirror and skullcap from our car. We checked and the suv driver was totally fine, but my wife and i were scared. We called tesla immediately and told them that in our opinion, our car had gone crazy and did not see the other car stopped in the shoulder as we drove by at 60 mph. We have the invoices from tesla service documenting this issue and their repair of it, but we were then and remain now really scared when a car has its hazards on in the shoulder.

When i'm driving on an interstate highway with hot lane to the left of my direction of travel, the car erroneously senses the speed limit as 65 mph (the speed limit for the adjacent hot lane) rather than the actual speed limit of 55 mph in my lane. The result is that when i am using the adaptive cruise control in the situation described, the car suddenly and without warning accelerates by at least 10 mph over the posted speed limit. This has happened repeatedly and makes use of the adaptive cruise unsafe.

My son was driving on the golden gate bridge when the auto pilot applied the brakes. He said a traffic cone appeared on the screen. There was no traffic cone or any other object in the road.this issue caused an accident behind him because of the sudden brake application. This also happened to me while driving on the freeway. I had the car on cruise control. All of a sudden the brakes were automatically applied without anything in the road.

I am making this complaint in the interest of public safety.there has been a tesla model 3 crash in russia.https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/9700731/tesla-car-explodes-autopilot-failure-driver-truck-russia/irrespective of whether autopilot or driver distraction was the cause of the crash the batteries literally exploded. This is an order of magnitude worse than the model s and x fires. ** i have used the vin of another model 3 which is in a wrecking yard**this is not done in any fraudulent way. It is done in order to comply with your website design.it is near impossible for the russian owner to negotiate your site and file a complaint so i have taken the liberty of filing on his behalf.

I wish to file a complaint about a tesla model 3 in the interest of human safety.this is concerning the issue of battery fires.i believe that this incident has so far gone unreported.here is a model 3 in the salvage auction yard that has been almost totally destroyed by fire.https://www.iaai.com/vehicledetails?itemid=34394730&rownumber=2&similarvehicleitemid=&isnext=&loadrecent=true the car is so badly burned that the vin is not able to be determined but the auction site would have that record.i have substituted the vin of another wrecked model 3 in order to make this report.there has been a recent post on tesla motors club forum which provides photos of the fire scene on the highway at vacaville and the images match the junkyard car.it seems that tesla is using the "ran over a trailer hitch on the roadway" aka "cat ate my homework" excuse again but looking at the photos it seems that a whompy wheel is the more likely cause.https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/another-tesla-fire.175198/**** ddawson, today at 9:51 am vacaville fire department car fire. I was told the owner ran over a trailer hitch that fell off a truck.i believe its a 3. No one hurt at least.. ****and *** this story actually did run on the 11:00 news, sunday nov. 24th, on kpix (our local cbs affiliate). It was reported by brian hackney. The story wasn't clear about where the fire took place, other than in vacaville where there does happen to be a supercharger. They showed the same dramatic image of the burned-out car. Fortunately no one was injured here.the weird part is that the kpix website never showed the story. I searched afterward, and the other stories reported that night (including the one about prius catalytic converter thefts) were all up, except for that one**please investigate.thank you.

I was going 45 mph with autopilot engaged and in fact the autopilot actually caused the accident. The car suddenly turned to the right and hit the curb then spinned 180 degrees midair, landed on the sidewalk and then rolled back fishtailed a wooden pole.

B pillar cameras tend to get condensation in them causing them to work intermittently.this has been reported to tesla service in rockville, md, to no effect. According to tesla, they do not have a solution for it, yet the cameras continue to intermittently fail to provide coverage, especially in weather conditions when they are most needed. Usually, the car is in motion when this issue arises and while driving at highway speeds.

The contact owns a 2019 tesla model 3. The contact stated that while her spouse was attempting to park the vehicle, the vehicle accelerated out of control and crashed through a wooden fence, knocked it down, and crashed into a neighbor's wall. The air bag did not deploy. There was no warning. There was no injury. A police report was filed. The contact called a tesla road side service whom advised the contact to have the vehicle towed to dan's paint & body (3810 e 22nd st, tucson, az 85713) a tesla approved body shop, where the insurance company approved the body damage repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.the failure mileage was approximately 2,677.

Around 12:30 pm pst on 7/1/2021, i got back into my car which was parked at a local shopping center to return home. I quickly noticed when i shifted my car into reverse, it instead drove forward. I performed a hard reset of the vehicle, which did not fix the issue. I also tried putting the car into drive, then back into reverse and it still proceeded to drive forward. What eventually fixed the issue was putting the car into drive, then tapping the accelerator, then putting it back in reverse.

My wife has a tesla model 3 car, purchased earlier this year and having about 8000 miles on it. The safety belt buckle is broken and cannot insert the safety belt to the buckle. My wife scheduled a service from the app. The company sent an invoice for over $100 for the repair. She didn't have any knowledge on the warranty and signed the invoice. But after that, i told her that it is a manufacture defect and should be covered by warranty. It is not only covered by the bumper-to-bumper warranty, it is a safety issue and has a longer warranty. My wife then rescheduled the appointment, and called the phone number listed in the invoice, also called the tesla customer number. Called every day and left at least 3 voice messages. However, she could not reach any live person to discuss the issue. My wife rescheduled the appointment multiple times so that she could make clear on the warranty issue. But now she could not reschedule the appointment any more, so she had to cancel the appointment. It's been close to three weeks since the first contact and still could not reach any live person to discuss the issue. I'd like tesla to contact her to discuss the warranty issue on the safety belt buckle and fix it for free.

Took my car five times for brake/suspension clicking, driver seat noise (bulletin already available), and steering column rattle ( advised by tesla to move the steering a little because it touching the instrument panel ( bad design and shouldn't the customer change his comfort to comfort the bad design by tesla.), also has issue with camera moist that prevent blind spot and autopilot lane change works in moistur weather, seat belt rattle. All these issue with some has bulletin they said normal and charge me for checking it while my car under warranty. All issues are while driving except battery breather supercharging

The cause of the "sudden unintended acceleration" in tesla vehicles is a design flaw in which the gas and brake pedals are too close together and not offset as in other vehicles. While tesla alleges it is user error, this error is caused by poor design.1. As you begin to stop or pull into a parking spot (vehicle in motion traveling at a slow speed in a parking lot), it is quite easy to push the wrong pedal, or push both pedals, causing acceleration. This is especially true for drivers with large feet.2. Occurance is relatively rare, and can cause property damage and minor injuries.3. User remedies include not wearing shoes while driving.

1. Phantom braking while driving on autopilot: mostly on highways, when driving on autopilot, the car suddenly applies brakes for no reason and no obstacle or vehicle in front of the car. This may lead to someone hitting me from behind (rear ending) as that driver would not expect my car to slow down.2. Homelink system closes garage door randomly: the homelink gives command to garage door to close when it is not supposed to. There were an incident when the car was under the garage door and one incident when the car was backing out.3. Lane departure alert: on newly marked road, the car did not take any action when the lane was crossed without engaging turn signal. The lane departure alert system should have brought the car back in lane.tesla's response is that the systems are "beta versions". I can understand a system not working (like lane departure alert). However, phantom, braking and homelink issues are out of drivers' control and there is no corrective action a driver can take. For example, a) "the car does not apply brakes if there is obstacle", driver can apply brake and mitigate the risk.b) "the car applies brakes when the road is clear". Driver cannot help as it will be few seconds before the driver realizes that the car applied brakes for no good reason and then he/she will have to cancel the autopilot system and take control. It may be too late...there were several incidents of phantom braking. There were 4 incidents related to homelink.date below is the date of latest phantom braking incident.

I turned into a perpendicular parking space in a home depot parking lot.i let up on the accelerator as the car inched closer to the curb.as i began to press the brake to bring the car to a complete stop, the car suddenly lurched forward, jumped the curb, crossed the grass median and come to rest on the hood of another car. I know my foot was on the brake at the time and contend that the incident was due to a vehicle malfunction.

The vehicle experiences sudden braking while driving freeway spped around 65 to 70 mph in the freeway underneath overpass during sunny day using autopilot. Tesla autopilot consider shadow underneath the overpass as stand still vehicle and apply sudden brakes. This can be very dangerous. I have reported this problem 2 times already to tesla support, but, nothing has been done.

My tesla model 3 just suddenly accelerated as i was turning right trying to the lot to park the car.my car hit the wall and then the hazard light came on.

I, deputy a. Sabrsula #5090 with travis county sheriff's office highway enforcement unit responded to a collision on laguna cliff rd. A female backed out of her driveway, and upon placing her vehicle in "drive" mode, the tesla "took off out of no where" and caused the vehicle to drive through a neighbors front gate/fence cluster and through their yard. The vehicle then went through another section of fence and came to a final stop in the middle of a field. I noted there was zero evidence of any type of brakes being applied (skid marks, grass ruts, etc). The female stated she attempted numerous times to apply the brake but the vehicle continued forward. I attempted to load my photos from the crash but the files are too large.

While driving in the left-most lane on mopac expressway in austin (although has happened other times and places as well) with "full self driving" autopilot engaged (and with the car having been in control for quite some time before this), the vehicleslammed on the brakes for no apparent reason. I immedately pressed the accelerator to override the breaking action and avoid being rear ended. To the best of my knowledge no accidents occurred as a result, however it did cause multiple cars behind me to have to brake.similar issues incidents have happened before, however it seems to be doing it much more often now.i'm unable to upload it, but i also have a video from the vehicle itself showing the incident.

This is a complaint about ball-joint failure in tesla model 3 cars.please note that i have used the vin of another tesla to file this complaint since the vin of the car in question is unavailable.many owners are complaining on the forums that their steering is creaking and they are resorting to diy remedies such as peeling back the rubber boot on the top ball joint and squirting in lubricant.there have been many cases where the ball has eventually worn down and popped out of the socket.here is a thread discussing this and the owner has included a photograph showing the separated ball joint. This photo is attached to this complaintthread: https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/whompy-wheel-syndrome.221394/#post-5355853snip ***i was driving this morning and the car started to pull to the left, as if my tire had gone flat. I pulled over and found that side of the car to be resting on the tire. I thought the air suspension had gone out in that area, but after having it towed, we found the ball joint to have failed. After looking online, i am thankful it wasn't much worse. If you google whompy wheel syndrome, you'll see plenty of stories where an accident ensued and lots of damage followed. Now i'm just interested to see what this will cost to fix. Guessing i should have the passenger side replaced, as a precaution, as well."whompy wheels" is a term coined and perpetuated by a lunatic living in australia.the pictures associated with that phrase were taken from random pictures the guy found while trawling the internet, that is not to say people haven't had suspension issues, but "whompy wheels" is fud and therefore not a legitimate source of information.****there are many teslas showing up in the junkyards with this exact same failure.please act now.thank you.keef

Squeaky sounds and shaking steering control due to the front 2 wheelsupper control arm ball joints lost the lubrication.extremely laud squeaky sounds, the squeaky sounds is similar to car that about to fall apart in movies. Resulting the model 3 driver has to be on high alert all time, scared if the wheels will fallapart or the steering will be out of control or difficult to control.

Here is a 2019 tesla model 3 in the junkyard.https://www.copart.com/lot/53850990/photos/2019-tesla-model-3-pa-pittsburgh-norththe front passenger side is completely smashed in.judging by the fact that the passenger side air-bags have not deployed and that there is no blood splatter on the dashboard it looks as though the passenger seat was unoccupied. This is very fortunate.turning now to the probable cause of the crash, the front suspension is in pieces.the stem of the lower ball-joint has snapped and so have most of the other giblets.the tire has had all the tread worn off. The tread on the other tires is in good condition.given the known weaknesses of tesla ball-joints and castings that are the subject of a recall in china it is a near certainty that the suspension fell to bits causing the tire to be shredded and then things went from bad to worse.why don't you follow the lead of china and get these junk-heaps off the roads?yours in disgust.keef

This is for the 2019 tesla model 3.part number 1131205-00-c >pp-gf20<located in the frunk (front trunk area) near the air inlet / 12volt battery.i remove the shroud part above the are inlet and battery and noticed there wasplay (up/down) motion by a panel fastener. Upon closer observation , i found the noted part listed above partial broken offholding on to one of the very thin attachment points.i believe this part is to hole the shroud mating/fastening part up by resting on the lower part assembly.as you see in the images this is a poor design, which shows three very thin slivers of materialjoining two parts together. Part #14 in parts assembly

Part number 1131205-00-cc (pp-gf20), poor design breaks easy on (3) thin tabs unable to support push/pull of panel to seat grommets, use to hold up panel in frunk portion of vehicle where clean air intake. This allows a panel to hold the pushing and pulling off of a panel. Alot of people are unaware this part is broken, usually starts in manufacturing installation.

As i was opening the passenger door, my nail got caught in the space between the handle and the car. As background, in order to open the door onei hasto push the handle on one side for the other side to come out, as i was doing this my nail got caught in the gap created when pushing one side tearing off more than half of my nail. This also ripped the skin and i had to go to the hospital where i got two shots because the pain was so intensive, and then i needed wrapping and a splint.

Autopilot was engaged. The tesla vehicle sensors failed to recognize 2 parked vehicles on the right side of the street while driving, and collided with them. Anti-collision mechanism and auto-braking failed to apply, resulting in collision.

When get wet, undercarriage composite try gets heavy when water is absorbed and fall/ tear and get dragged on the street, sometimes resulting in friction sparks.

Tesla model 3 the mid aero shield was damaged while driving in the rain.tesla had previous issued a technical service bulletin (sb-19-12-001) to replace these defective mid aero shields but it appears the new piece is as susceptible to rain water damage as the origin piece.tesla is charging its customers to replace defective mid aero shields when these defective products should be covered under warranty or should be recalled.the original mid aero shield part number was 1104313-00-a.after the tsb, the replacement part number is 1104313-00-b.1104313-00-b is as equally susceptible to water and rain damage as the original part.there are over 2000k complaints on the following forums; forums detailing aero shield damage is rain. Do to a large back windshield (entire vehicle roof is made out of class) i believe that the heat makes the windshield crack. I posted a video on youtube explaining how my vehicle windshield broke down by theintense heat, a person replied with the same problem.

Please note that the full vin of the car i am complaining about is unknown and therefore i have used the vin of another wrecked 2019 model 3 to submit this report.here is a damaged tesla in a salvage auction in germany.https://www.copart.de/lot/50047705/photosno airbags have deployed and the car is almost undamaged except that the front suspension has fallen to bits.the attached photographs show that the ball joint of the lower control arm has snapped. Also the ball joint that attaches the steering arm has snapped off which is extremely alarming.part of the cast aluminium lower arm has snapped off.the manufacturing standards and quality control of tesla suspension components is appalling. Rather than reporting these defects back to the factory and to the nhtsa these failures are being systematically covered up.quite obviously the german owner of this car will not be reporting this to nhtsa so i am doing my best as a concerned citizen to bring this to your attention.the tesla fan club is not very pleased that i am doing this.such is life.regardskeef

Started to hear noise from steering. Front upper control arm failure. Many owners have same issue evidenced by forum.

Here is a 2019 model 3 in the junkyardhttps://www.iaai.com/vehicledetails/37069661?rownumber=1it has been in a major crash.the tread on the front rh tire has been rubbed completely away.the top ball-joint has popped apart. It is unusual for good quality ball-joints to pop apart even after an impact. Bearing in mind that the top wishbone on a model 3 is made from plastic it is highly unlikely thata large force was transmitted to the ball joint.it is almost certain that what happened was like this.a suspension part failed whilst the car was being driven and this caused the tire to rub against the wheel well until the tire finally burst.then the car crashed.that's it.would you please issue an immediate recall before more people get killed.thank you.keefplease note that date of incident and details of injuries are just estimates.

Here is a tesla in the junkyard.https://www.iaai.com/vehicledetails/36045205?rownumber=2not ina crash, no air-bags deployed.only damage is to the rh front area.the tire is badly worn away. It looks as though a suspension failure caused the wheel to rub hard against the body but because the driver is a tesla owner and by definition not the sharpest tool in the shed he just carried on driving for a few more miles until everything turned to feculence.please be so kind as to investigate.thank youkeef

This is a complaint about fragile suspension components in teslas.please not that i have used the vin of another tesla model 3 to file this complaint since the vin of the affected car is unavailable.here is a tesla suspension assembly listed for sale on ebay.https://www.ebay.com/itm/seat-tesla-model-3-rack-and-pinion-strut-parts-miami-suspension/264625594705?hash=item3d9cea2151:g:ngeaaosw7pnepghtthe lower suspension arm (made from cast monkey-metal) has simply snapped in half.this assembly has been taken from a wrecked tesla and naturally i do not know the circumstances that caused it to be sold for spare parts.the rest of the suspension assembly is undamaged.there is no sign of impact damage to the assembly at all.it has simply snapped like a pretzelif have attached a blown up picture of the snapped part.you should also be interested in this article https://insideevs.com/photo/4755029/this-tesla-model-3-manufacturing-issue-could-have-ended-really-badly/which proves that the suspensions do indeed fall to bits and that is not owner abuse as tesla has been claiming.please do the right thing and demand a recall.thank you.keef unhinged

Model 3 with snapped off front suspension.https://poctra.com/2019-tesla-model-3/id-bxl6puf0qjyeccjy/martinez-ca/photosall ball-joints snapped. Alloy steering knuckle cracked in half.isame old thing. Over and over.how many examples do you need before you take action?

Here is a tesla model 3 in the junkyard.https://www.iaai.com/vehicledetails?itemid=33838953&rownumber=80&similarvehicleitemid=&isnext=&loadrecent=trueboth front wheels and suspensions have completely fallen off.all of the ball joints and suspension giblets have snapped.what the bleep?please investigate.this is just insane and ludicrous.thank you.persistent citizen.

Model 3 in the junkyard: https://www.iaai.com/vehicledetails/37485495?rownumber=9the front suspension has fallen to bits.the lower ball joint stem has snapped.a ball-joint stemis normally made from high grade steel and would be expected to tear through the hole in the cast alloy steering knuckle before it would itself snap.tesla must be obtaining these suspension parts from a a team of monkeys working in someone's back shed.musk is fond of using thewords insane and ludicrous.in the case of the snapping suspensions these words make perfect sense.it would be niceif you would take action but i won't be holding my breath.yours whompily.keef

Here is a 2019 model 3 in the junkyard.https://www.iaai.com/vehicledetails/37267527?rownumber=6not in a crash, no air-bags deployed, no bodywork damage.the front suspension has competely fallen to bits!what the fudge??are you afraid of elon or what?have a great day.keef

Another day, another 3 wheeler tesla.https://www.copart.com/lot/60564119no air-bags deployed just a slight chip in the wheel rim.are these suspensions really meant to snap-off if they run over a bump in the road?see attached photo.all the ball joints have snapped again.insane mode?please investigate.keef

Here is a model 3 in the junkyard.https://www.copart.com/lot/61748319/photosthe front suspension has fallen to bits.the upper ball joint has popped out of its socket.the lower ball joint has snapped its stem.there is very little impact damage to that area of the car, nothing that would account for the suspension falling to bits like that.these tesla suspensions are badly designed and badly manufactured.it is entirely probable that the recent crash of a model 3 in long beach which severely injured a pedestrian was caused by a suspension failure.the wheel on that long beach crash car looks badly whompy.

Here is a tesla model 3 in the junkyard.https://www.iaai.com/vehicledetails/39201645?tenant=us&rownumber=8it has not been in a crash. There is no impact damage and no air-bags deployed.the front suspension has simply fallen to bits.the stem of the ball-joint has snapped.the steering knuckle has broken in half.the tesla factory is a disorganized shambles.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hf_ormiy9tk there are many reports of drug use by employees and management.quality control is nonexistent.please stop this madness.thank youkeef

Here is a tesla model 3 in the junkyard.https://www.iaai.com/vehicledetails/38603577?rownumber=11it has not been in a collision. There is no damage to the bodywork and no airbags have been deployed.the front suspension appears to have committed seppuku. All its giblets have fallen out.it looks as though the suspension has been unable to withstand the insane and ludicrous power of the motor and has had its nuts wrenched off.i think the same thing should happen to the nhtsa officials that allow these lethal contraptions to be on the roads.have a great day.regards keef

Here is another tesla model 3 in thejunkyard.the front suspension has fallen to bits.all 3 ball-joints have simply popped apart.even in cars that have been in major crashes it is unusual to see a ball joint that has separated.there are many reports on the forums that the ball joints on model 3 cars are squeaking badly when the steering is turned side to side.example: https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/time-to-replace-upper-control-arm-ball-joints.202921/page-3time to replace upper-control arm ball joints | page 3 | tesla ...teslamotorsclub.com ' tesla: vehicles ' model 3i am exceptionally disappointed that tesla will not honor what's clearly a fleetwide part failure issue for the ball joints **owners are resorting to diy repairs by injecting grease or wd40 through therubber boot.the squeaking sound means that metal is rubbing on metal.eventually the ball wears down sufficiently for it to pop out of its socket.i have made reports to you already on this subject and have supplied many photographs of tesla popped ball joints.i strongly urge you to take immediate action by issuing a recall.thank you.keef

Here is a tesla model 3 in the junkyard in hawaii.https://www.iaai.com/vehicledetails/38117165?rownumber=0i don't think elon can use the chinese roads and chinese drivers excuse for this one.the front wheel and suspension has simply fallen to bits.this is not the result of a crash, no air-bags deployed and no damage to the car except for the wheel falling off.the stems of the ball joints are snapped.these same failures of snapped ball joint stems happen repeatedly on teslas.there is something badly wrong with the manufacturing process andinspection.this car has only covered 6000 miles.why in the world are you allowing tesla to get away with this?yours in disgust.keef

Yet another tesla in the junkyard with a suspension that has fallen to bits.https://www.copart.com/lot/39479050/photos/salvage-2019-tesla-model-3-fl-orlando-norththis car has not been in a crash. No air-bags have deployed. There is no significant damage to the bodywork.all of the ball-joints have snapped off.i am continuing to file these complaints in the public interest and in an attempt to prevent further loss of life.thank youkeef

Please notethat i have used the vin of another 2019 model 3 to submit this complaint since the vin of the badly mangled car which is the subject of this complaint is indecipherable.here is mangled model 3 in the junkyard:https://www.copart.com/lot/52448180/photos/2019-tesla-model-3-in-indianapolisfrom the condition of the wreck and the bio-hazard markings it is a certainty that occupants have been severely injured or killed.the attached photograph shows that the upper ball joint has popped apart.this can only happen if there is a manufacturing defect or if the ball has worn down due to poor lubrication.many owners have complained about squeaking ball joints and some have resorted to puncturing the rubber boot and injecting spray lubricant.even in such a severe crash the ball joint should not have popped apart like this.it is highly likely that this ball joint failure was the cause of the crash.in the photograph balljointfatal2 you can see that there is a flat section worn away on the tire tread. Teslas have anti-lock-braking system. The only way for a wheel to totally jam up and skid is by means of a mechanical failure prior to the crash.it is disgraceful that your organisation does not demand that tesla recall these deadly cars.please take action.thank youkeef.please note that although i have used a substitute vin this submission is entirely honest and factual and i have supplied mygenuine contact details.number of deaths and injuries is an estimate based on the severity of crash damage.date of crash and speed of vehicle are estimates.mileage of vehicle is an estimate.i deny the claim byelon musk that my complaints are fraudulent and intended to damage the tsla share value.

Please please please have a look at the photographs of this tesla with a snapped suspension.https://www.iaai.com/vehicledetails/39201645?tenant=us&rownumber=8i have filed other complaints of this same failure on other model teslas that share the same suspension parts.this is not crash damage. This is bad manufacturing.please investigate.thank youkeef

Tonight my tesla 3 with 9500 miles was noted by the driver in the car next to mine to be riding on a tire that was sparking. Stopping the car i found the radial michelin tire was riding on the inner medial radial as the rubber was totally gone. Further inspection found both rear tires to be similarly marked by having no tread. This is a 4 shell drive car in which there is a major problem with the suspension or motors for the rear wheels.i have never had a car with this type of problem. I suspect they cut corners t some major step or this is a mother type of design flaw.the front tires appear to have minimal wear. Which is what one would expect for a car that is one year old. Lucky we did not have a blow out

I have a 2019 tesla model 3 with premium wheel upgrade and the continental pro contact rx tires put on by tesla are clearly defective. The car has 7k some miles on it and the tire blew out randomly. There was no impact/crash of any kind, we were going approx 30 miles per hour on a paved road and heard a large boom. Then almost instantly our tpms indicated extremely low tire pressure pull over now. We had a blow out with these basically brand new tires, no other damage to car so that's it. Could kill someone in the wrong circumstance!

2019 tesla 3. Consumer writes in regards to unintended acceleration. *ldthe consumer stated while driving, the vehicle veered to the right and flipped over.the vehicle had 16,000 at the time of failure. It was totaled. The consumer stated upon inspecting the vehicle, the next day, the driver's side tire was flat. The manufacturer was notified.

Car turning and pull up to the garage drive way, it suddenly unintended accelerate and crash into the garage gate. (videos available)

Hi,according to the following article:https://www.businessinsider.com/tesla-model-s-catches-fire-in-san-francisco-garage-2019-5tesla ceo elon musk has said the company's vehicles are less likely to catch fire than gas-powered ones, but data from the national fire protection association suggests the opposite.[xxx] has made a fraudulent claim. He has committed a crime. What is nhtsa going to do about this serious issue? i believe nhtsa has a fiduciary obligation to the world to handle this situation in a right way. I believe immediate action is needed, including requiring tesla inc. To do a recall if warranted. I hope nhtsa would do the right thing. I believe time is of the essence. I hope to hear from you guys. Thanks.also, please consider the following two concerning articles and videos as well: 1)https://ktla.com/2019/04/22/video-appears-to-show-tesla-exploding-in-shanghai-parking-lot-prompting-investigation/tesla is investigating why a model s appeared to explode in a shanghai parking garage2)https://abc7news.com/5283936/ tesla model s catches fire in san francisco garage aren't these two recent events extremely concerning? thanks.if you guys can't do anything about this serious issue, can you please provide me with the names of some government agencies who might be able to help me?regards,[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

On 3/15/2021, my car suddenly turned 90 degree to the right under autopilot on highway 210 when hit a puddle. The rain is very small. I think the highway has risk as accumulated a puddle unexpected at all. Tesla 3 has issue as well since it shouldn't turn 90 degree. I was hit by a car and the car stopped. If there were container truck besides me, i might die that day.

The heat in the foot well is too hot when hvac system is on auto. Foot well can get as high as 50 degrees celsius which is not safe. This occurs during all driving and stationary parking.

When warming the cabin, rear vents will often blow very hot air, sometimes in excess of 100f, compared to the front vents. Even during the summer when the front is blowing cold air, the rear will still blow hot air.

I was stopped at a red light, second in line.my car lunged backwards hitting the car behind me. I had done nothing to move the vehicle. There was slight damage to my rear end and their front end. My neck did whiplash. There was an infant in the backseat who was injured in the other car. The driver of the other car was not injured. Please call me (xxxx)parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Three times when driving the tesla the screen starts flashing, then either goes black or freezes. The tesla's screen is for navigation and driving settings. It's very scary to drive with a frozen screen because the cameras don't work: and the interaction with the functioning of the car is unknown. When i asked tesla for a service request to fix it, they said firmware will be pushed to the car when it was developed but gave no timetable. They canceled my service request. Other people with model 3s i know do not have this problem with their cars.

The rear passenger side window spontaneously shattered while i was driving to work this morning. After a quick google search i found that this same thing has happened to many other model 3 owners. I immediately drove to the nearest tesla service center and was treated as if the problem was my fault and at first they were not going to cover it under warranty. I provided them with the dash cam footage of the window falling out of the vehicle into the freeway and proof that there were no other vehicles around me when this happened. They then agreed to cover it under warranty. But when my vehicle was done they then tried to blame the issue on the fact that my windows were tinted. It was very disappointing to be treated dismissively and for them to not acknowledge at all that this issue may be bigger than my vehicle. Had that window not been tinted the shattered window would not have stayed in tact like it did and i would have had shattered glass flying in the cabin of my vehicle making for a very dangerous situation.

Front trunk unlatched while driving. Made a left turn at an intersection and received a warning message saying the trunk is unlatched. Got out and checked, the primary latch is unlatched and the secondary latch is engaged.

While attempting to park in a school parking lot, the vehicle accelerated unintentionally striking another parked vehicle and a sign pole in front of the parking space then coming to a stop on top of a boulder. The private security patrol at the school filed an incident report with all details.

The vehicle develops moldy smell after a short period of time that is a potential health hazard due to bacteria growth. The smell is due to the accumulation of water on the evaporator and is a mechanical design issue that impacts most tesla 3 cars.

My tesla model 3 keeps unintentionally and erratically braking while in motion using the autopilot or cruise control on the highway. I have multiple dates and times of this incident happening. This is known as "phantom braking" a false positive that the autopilot system engages in.this happens at random areas and time (day or evening) on the freeway. I have contacted tesla service and they have given me the cold shoulder and stated there is no fix for this.

This was not an event, but a feature that could result in injury or death. I am very concerned that the passenger doors do not have mechanical release levers should the car loose power. That means i could be trapped in the car if i am in the back seat. I am 65, and climbing over the seat would be difficult for me. The owner's manual says i can crawl through the trunk which has a manual release, but that is even harder. I practiced it with the trunk empty, and it was very difficult. With luggage in the trunk it could be impossible. We often carry people in their 80's in the back seats as well, and explaining these emergency procedures is quite anxiety-provoking. I myself have claustrophobia. I have discussed this with a tesla representative, who is going to put it through as a suggestion. I asked to have the door handles replaced with door handles equipped with emergency release levers, but i am told that this is not an option at this time.

In their newly released autonomous driving package called full self driving, my car is acting very erratically and does not seem to be safe.specifically on narrow streets the car will automatically fold the mirrors meaning i can't even safely monitor the vehicle as it drives.can you address this with tesla?

Rear a/c vents blow hot air sporadically when front main vents are blowing cold air conditioned air. This happens are stops or when driving. Becomes dangerous for rear passengers/pets when outside temperature is high and car is adding additional heat to rear passenger area instead of cooling.

I had an a/c repair person at my house, he was admiring the car saying how new it looked.i asked him if i should move the car out of the garage so he could work, he said "yes".i started to back out of my garage, i moved it 4-5 feet, the wheels hadn't even crossed the garage floor when i heard a loud boom or pop.i exited the car, came around to the rear thinking i had hit something and noticed the rear window cracked across the entire bottom section of the window.i took the car to tesla for repair and was told that this is not a stress crack but something impacted this glass.i will attest that this glass has never been impacted or hit.i believe this is a quality issue that should have been fixed under warranty by tesla but they refused and i had to pay $800.

When in cruise control mode and a vehicle crosses my traffic lane far enough away to pose no hazard to me, my car slows very suddenly. This slowing for no apparent reason puts me in danger of being rear-ended by following traffic.a similar slow down happens if the car in front of me makes a right turn onto a side street and my cars slows dramatically even if there is no reason to brake; again creating a danger of rear end collision.

While driving at ~70mph on the freeway, we attempted to open the web browser app.the entire ui froze, during this time i could not exit autopilot by pressing the brake pedal. The car would decelerate when pressing the brake, however after pressing the brake the car immediately accelerated back to the set cruise control speed. After around 30 total seconds (around 10 seconds after attempting to exit autopilot) the ui unfroze and i was able to exit autopilot.

Law enforcement entry - vehicle was involved in a 10-vehicle crash. Driver and passenger both stated vehicle had unintended acceleration. Additional witness statements appear to verify report. *dtas vehicle was traveling on the highway, the driver reportedly tried to slow the vehicle as it approached stopped/slowed traffic.

I was going 45 mph with autopilot engaged and in fact the autopilot actually caused the accident. The car suddenly turned to the right and hit the curb then spinned 180 degrees midair, landed on the sidewalk and then rolled back fishtailed a wooden pole.

My tesla model 3 just suddenly accelerated as i was turning right trying to the lot to park the car.my car hit the wall and then the hazard light came on.

There were two incidents where i was driving very slowly in city traffic and the car all the sudden accelerated violently. There was no accident, as i slammed on the brakes. I was not in autopilot.

When i stopped on parking lot car suddenly accelerated over the curb into building.

The contact owns a 2019 tesla model 3. The contact stated that while at a stop sign, the vehicle accelerated independently causing the vehicle to crash into another vehicle causing that vehicle to rear ended another vehicle. The contact mentioned that the brake pedal was not depressed. The air bags failed to deploy. The contact was unaware of a police report being filed. The contact stated that there was no injuries sustained. The vehicle was towed to a towing lot and then to a collsion center. The contact contacted tesla (811 s san fernando blvd, burbank, ca 91502) where they was informed of the crash and informed the contact that they was unable to assist. The vehicle was not repaired or diagnosed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 10,000.

When parking the car, the car accelerated without the driver depressing the pedal causing the car to run into a building and cause damage.despite the speed, the airbags did not deploy

My 2019 tesla model 3 independently executed a minor acceleration during a sharp u-turn on a side street with no instruction from myself. I have reported the issue to tesla and requested they review the data. This absolutely happened while my foot was not on the accelerator. I was very surprised by it and it startled me. I have been driving this vehicle since 2019 and this is the first time it happened to me.

The contact owns a 2019 tesla model 3. The contact stated that while driving 25 mph, while depressing the brake pedal to make a right turned, the vehicle experienced an unintended acceleration. The contact quickly depressed the brake pedal and was able to slow the vehicle. There were no warning indicator lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to tesla dealer, (11945 n florida ave, tampa, fl 33612, (813) 496-3039) where the technician took a look at the log and informed the contact that the accelerator pedal instead was depressed instead of the brake pedal. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileages was approximately 3,500.

On november 29, 2019, we were driving our 5-month-old tesla model 3. We were coming to a stop at a stoplight in heavy traffic, when suddenly the car accelerated on its own. My husband had to brake suddenly to prevent running into another car.

I was pulling into a parking spot at the grocery store and as i tried to ease to a stop, the care accelerated quickly and aggressively and i smashed into the parked car a few feet in front of me. Air bags went off and burned a hole in my pants and burned the skin on my left thigh. Substantial repairs were required. I have never had anything like this happen before or since. I am healthy, not on any meds or substances, wasn't tired or distracted, and am overall a high functioning 50 year old married mom of two. The car was only 5 days old. It all happened so fast and the car seemed to have a mind of its own. I was very shaken, assumed i had my foot on the wrong pedal, and was ashamed that i could have made such a mistake. When i heard of the recent case and that you are reviewing similar issues with other teslas, my husband and i thought you should at least review our situation too. Whether it was in fact user error or a defect, i don't know. I'm not above accepting responsibility, but it is like the car raced forward so quickly i didn't know what was happening and had no time at all to react or respond before my leg as burning.

While in reverse parallel parking on a city street, vehicle accelerated suddenly. The vehicle continued to accelerate once pressure on the throttle petal was removed and did not stop acceleration until brake was applied. Vehicle impacted curb, but did not sustain damage outside of some light scratches to the wheels. Vehicle returned to normal operation after being put into park, removing the break, reapply the break, placing in drive, and slowly releasing the break.

Car turning and pull up to the garage drive way, it suddenly unintended accelerate and crash into the garage gate. (videos available)

On 11-27-19, out tesla model 3 which is 5 months old, suddenly accelerated in traffic. My husband was driving about 20 miles an hour at the time. This also occurred on 11-29-19, in a more dangerous situation. I made a separate report for that date. Fortunately, no collision occurred, but we are scared now.

Sudden unintended acceleration in driveway was i was pulling into carport.slammed on brakes to prevent impact into carport wall.

While attempting to park in a school parking lot, the vehicle accelerated unintentionally striking another parked vehicle and a sign pole in front of the parking space then coming to a stop on top of a boulder. The private security patrol at the school filed an incident report with all details.

I was pulling in head first to a parking spot in a shopping center and was coasting into the spot. The car suddenly jolted forward at a very high speed.our car jumped over the curb, traveled up a 4 to 5 foot high, sloped embankment, and struck a parked car in the upper parking tier.

Do to a large back windshield (entire vehicle roof is made out of class) i believe that the heat makes the windshield crack. I posted a video on youtube explaining how my vehicle windshield broke down by theintense heat, a person replied with the same problem.

In sudden heavy rain on busy highway (i5), the auto wipers wouldn't go on.to switch to manual or control wipers manually requires driver to take their eyes off the road for a significant amount of time to make 2 precise selections on touch screen.it was a bumpy-ish road and this required me to take my eyes off the road for even longer to click on correct wiper mode selection.it was a very dangerous situation to be in heavy traffic to lose visibility and then have to take my eyes off the road to navigate a touch screen.the real issue is that navigating the touch screen is like using a smartphone while driving and should not be required critical safety functions.

Rear windshield gets distorted every time the defrost is turned on. Tesla has seen and noted the defect, stated this is normal on all tesla model 3 vehicles, and will not fix the problem. It is not normal as no other car i've ever driven in has this kind of distortion when using the defrost. I believe this should be registered as a safety recall asap.

Rear windshield gets distorted and extremely difficult to view thru rear mirror when turning on rear defrost after 2 minutes. This is a repeatable/reproducible defect. Attempted to have tesla remedy/replace rear windshield to no avail. They verified the distortion and stated it is a "normal operation" as it was found in their other vehicles as well. That is unacceptable as i've never had a vehicle with distorted glass upon turning on rear defrost. I believe this to be a major safety defect.

Autopilot was engaged. The tesla vehicle sensors failed to recognize 2 parked vehicles on the right side of the street while driving, and collided with them. Anti-collision mechanism and auto-braking failed to apply, resulting in collision.
