The contact owns a 2009 top hat brand 5 x 8 utility trailer (na).he stated that while driving 35 mph down an incline; the trailer detached from the 2002 chevrolet silverado. As a consequence the equipment transported in the trailer caused $1,100 of damage to the towing vehicle.an engineer inspected the vehicle and concluded that the failure was caused by the misadjustment of the coupler. The entire trailer may have to be replaced. He is awaiting a response from the manufacturer. The failure and current mileages were not applicable.
