There is a serious fault with the suzuki tu250x motorcycle.it is a fault that could easily lead to an accident resulting in injury or death.this fault causes the engine to stop without warning when the rider pulls in the clutch in the process of downshifting.it has happened to me numerous times averaging about 125 miles between occurrences on my motorcycle which i purchased new.this is a well know fault frequently cited on the tu250x forum at various locations such ashttp://tu250riders.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1677.this fault seems to affect all model years from 2009 to the present.this is especially dangerous since this suzuki, because of its size and low cost, is a popular choice with new, inexperienced riders who may panic when their engine suddenly stops.i have been riding for over 40 years and have never had a problem like this with any other carbureted or fuel injected motorcycle.as a guess i would say the software programming for the fuel injection system causes cutoff of fuel under certain conditions of deceleration.this defect is no less serious than the ignition switch failure causing the general motors recall.both result in the engine unexpectedly stopping.this defect needs to be addressed before there is a serious accident.
