I was riding through the rural countryside near where i live (kearney,mo.) on sunday afternoon. (7/25/1999).i was riding along on my 1997 suzuki tl-1000s when i rode over a rise in the road and hit a pothole. At first i thought i had blown a tire, i just concentrated on getting the bike stopped. The swingarm had sheared in half ! the bike had fallen away underneath me, and the suspension had collapsed so far that the exhaust header under the bike was crushed !the rear tire burned a hole in the inner fender, the swingarm gouged a good sized impression in the left exhaust can, and the chained carved a notch in the side of the frame.i have a website with all the pictures pertaining to this claim.
