Air bag and seat belt lights constantly illuminated, because of faulty sensor. Seat(s) needs to be replaced or airbag will not deploy.

2007 suzuki sx4- passenger airbag light on, took it to dealership, they stated the right front seat track/bottom assembly would need replacing costing approximately $1500.00.apparently this is a common problem. Suzuki should have to recall their cars and correct the problem.

Ok where do i begin,i have had this car for 5 yrs., and it is a piece of crap. The air conditioner leaks water inside the car, i had it blown out and it didn't help, the power steering pump leaks, i don't have any power steering, the air bag light stays on.i paid 15,000 for this car, i feel its a lemon, butcan't prove it, cause i don't have receipts from the last 12months. Does anybody else have these problems.i'm just sick of it, i know i got ripped off. What can i do about it, i will never buy another suzuki.

As others have related the air bag warning light(s) has appeared on my car also now. As others have written theirs was mainly the driver seat sensors failing. The minor difference of my issue is that both seats air bag warning lights came on and will not go away at the same time. This fact does add up to the sensors in each seat failing at exactly the same time. Suzuki repair departments are claiming individual seat sensor issues. Something else is wrong here and this should become a defect investigation before someone dies due to the air bags not deploying.

The contact owns a 2007 suzuki sx4.the contact stated that the air bag warning light was illuminated.neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure, nor was the vehicle diagnosed or repaired.the current and the failure mileages were 51,350.

Passenger air bag sensor is bad. Sensor is on and nobody can tell me why except to buy a new seat. I already replace the drivers seat due to same issue.

After 60,000 miles the airbags light comes on and passenger seat belt light comes on. Dealer states that passenger seat cushion needs to be replaced. A lot of suzuki owners have the same problem after 60,000 miles. This is a safety hazards. Here is a link to the issue. This issue should be recalled.http://www.suzuki-forums.com/suzuki-sx4-forum/44769-2008-suzuki-sx4-crossover-airbag-light.html.

The contact owns a 2007 suzuki sx4.the contact stated that the all bags warning light and the passenger side seat belt warning light remained illuminated. The air bag warning light would illuminate even when the passenger seat was occupied. The contact was told by the manufacturer that there was no way of knowing whether the air bag would deploy in the event of a crash. The contact had been dealing with the failure for four years and had not been offered an adequate repair. The manufacturer sent a good faith extension letter to the contact that stated that the sensor could be repaired for up 10 years or 120,000 miles. The failure mileage was 60,000 and the current mileage was 130,000. Updated 08/03/12 *ljupdated 08/06/12

The contact owns a 2007 suzuki sx4. The contact stated that the air bag indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times, but they could not provide a solution. The contact called the manufacturer to notify them of the failure and was waiting for a response to determine their solution to repair the vehicle. The failure mileage was not available.

The contact owns a 2007 suzuki sx4. The contact stated that after crashing into a deer, the passenger air bag warning lamp illuminated and the air bags did not deploy. A police report was not filed and no injuries were reported. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed that the passenger seat air bag sensor was defective and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 40,000 and current mileage was 60,000.

2007 sx4 has had the safety bag light on for the past 7 mos.i don't live near a suzuki dealership, so finally had time to bring it to a dealership to get checked.they mentioned it's a faulty sensor and it would cost ~$1600 w/o labor.i have had the vehicle since nov. 06 and have 75k miles.no warranty will cover to replace.i feel as though i can't trust if my airbags will work if they need to.

Air bag light comes on.dealer says $1,300 to replace/repair passenger side.seems to be know issue on chat boards related to this make/model.

The contact owns a 2007 suzuki sx4. The contact stated that nhtsa campaign number: 10v513000 (visibility) and nhtsa campaign number: 13v405000 (air bags) had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for repairs. The dealer stated the parts were not available for repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the delay. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact did not experience any failure.updated 8/12/14 updated 09/5/2014

I got in the car, started it up and the air bag light came on with the passengers restraint light. I ran a scan and the seat sensor failed. 2 grand to repair it. No one sits on this side. I'm the original owner and i baby the heck out of this car. This stinks. Now its become a safety issue.

At approximately 70,000 miles the airbag light came on. A computer diagnostic showed that the sensor in the passenger seat cushion needed to be replaced. This is the sensor which senses whether or not a person is sitting in the seat and in the case of an accident tells the airbag to deploy. The state in which i live requires safety inspections which the vehicle will not pass if the airbag light is on. The failure of an airbag deployment is considered a safety issue by my state laws and should be considered a safety issue with the manufacturer of this vehicle.

This is a safety issue and i have tried working with suzuki corp. And my local dealer. They both say i have to replace it at $1,000. New seat or a used one( which i do not want) for $450.00. I am on disability and cannot afford a seat. It should be up to suzuki to replace this at no charge because of a mechanical defect. I love my sx4 and i am very upset that they will not replace the seat.

Passanger airbag goes off.

The contact owns a 2007 suzuki sx4. The contact stated that he attempted to have his vehicle repaired under nhtsa campaign number: 13v405000 (air bags ) but was informed that the parts were not available. The contact stated that since the failure was reported in september of 2013, there should be a remedy available before april of 2014 and that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable time for repair. There are no failures at this time.

I have been a loyal suzuki owner since 1993. I have never had a major repair on any suzuki, until now.the airbag sensor in the passenger seat has failed. The light started to appear intermittently a few months ago. My car is now in the shop and the diagnosis is official. I need a new airbag sensor --- and the only way to get one is to buy an entire new seat. My dealer?s early rough estimate is about $800 for the seat and about $200 for the installation. After searching the internet, $1000 is consistent with what other people are being asked to pay. My internet search has also shown this is an extremely common failure. I request that the ntsb consider a recall for the following four reasons:1)this problem is widespread and warrants a recall.2)this is an obvious design flaw and warrants a recall.3)the basic safety features are compromised, which warrants a recall.4)the repair is prohibitively expensive (7% of the purchase price) which warrants a recall.just in case i am being too subtle, i believe that the car should be recalled, and that customers be reimbursed if they havepaid for the repair. A recall is a much better option that a class action suit since that will take too much time. My biggest concern is that the design of the part precludes an easy repair. It would be much more affordable if the sensor could be replaced without replacing the entire seat. The $1000 + price tag will prevent people from making the repair. In reality, there are two design flaws; 1) the faulty sensor and 2) the way that the sensor is integrated into the seat.as a result of my direct contact with suzuki, they have offered to pay for the part if i pay for the installation. This makes the repair affordable, but what about people who aren't willing to appeal to the company. Plus, if they admit that the part is defective why am i required to pay for installation?

The contact owns a 2007 suzuki sx4.the contact received a notification for recall nhtsa campaign id number: 13v405000 (air bags). However, the parts were not available.the dealer could not repair the vehicle for seven months since the parts were not available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue.

Airbag light is on,does not go off, also seatbelt sign for passenger side is on.

I am the owner of suzuki sx4, vin number: [xxx], mileage 22713 miles. I got an airbag light (both, the driver and the passenger sides) on the instrument cluster two weeks ago. Because suzuki closed most of its dealerships in north florida i drove 150 miles (each way) to the dealership in tampa (crown suzuki). The dealer has looked at it and the code said that the airbag system was getting invalid input from the passenger seat sensor (b1312). The dealer stated that he couldn't reprogram the sensor instead they have to replace the entire seat airbag sensor mat, which cost 1584.92$ (not including labor). Also, dealer stated that almost every single one suzuki sx4 sooner or later has this problem. After conducting an internet research (including multiple suzuki forums and complains to nhtsa) i was shocked to find out how common this problem is. This seems to be a growing problem with sx-4's and suzuki is not doing anything about it.this is a safety related issue, which suzuki continues to ignore. I spoke to suzuki in california and a representative pretty much said "tough luck."because this is a safety related issue, and the shortcut occurs not due a natural ware out of the part, i strongly insist that american suzuki automotive division will take responsibility and offer assistance in repairing this problem or will issue a recall or extended warranty for this failure. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Air bag sensor failure on passenger side front seat.

The contact owns a 2007 suzuki sx4. The contact stated that when starting the vehicle, the air bag light would illuminate and remain illuminated whether a passenger was occupying the seat or not. The vehicle was neither diagnosed nor repaired. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 40,000 and the current mileage was 40,100.

The contact owns a 2007 suzuki sx4. The contact stated that the passenger side air bag and seat belt warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was advised that the cushion for the passenger seat needed to be replaced because the sensor failed. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 56,000 and the current mileage was 56,200.

Failure of airbag system due to failure of the occupancy control module. This shuts down the entire passenger restrain system for all airbags. A quick review of the internet reveals this to be a common problem. Www.sx4club.com/forums. Please search sx4 airbag light.

Upon start-up the air bag indicator light and the passenger seat belt light are on persistently.this is whether or not someone is seated in the passenger seat.according to an on-line query, we found multiple entries (complaints) of other customers experiencing the same problem for 2007, 2008 and 2009 models.the culprit is a faulty sensor in the seat cushion.thus far suzuki has not addressed this issue, nor do they feel it is a safety concern.from what the dealership service manager indicated (and as stated on complaints we found) with the car in the current condition, our air bags will not deploy in the event of an accident.the dealership stated the estimate for repair of the seat cushion and seat belt assembly is $1700.00.the dealership compared this repair to that of say an engine or transmission going out.they (both the dealership personnel and suzuki corp. Customer service personnel) say it is fair to expect to pay for such repairs, after the warranty period.we feel this is a faulty component.we feel that it is wrong of suzuki to expect car owners to pay for such repairs.we believe that this non-value added feature, now defective, is jeopardizing our lives.since when did replacing seat cushions and seat belt assemblies become standard car repairs?since when is a faulty component that essentially disables the entire air-bag system deemed to be a simple repair issue and not a safety concern? we fail to see how this is the case.we fail to see how suzuki can justify such statements.

Vehicle purchased new on 10/30/2007, and serviced regularly at local dealer. Initial reports of "passenger air bag" light ignored repeatedly by dealer. On 3/23/2008 while vehicle was moving it was backed into by a toyota camry.the camry had minimal damage, but the suzuki sustained more than $4700 in damage.numerous calls to police ensue and finally after 2 hours, a florida hwy. Patrol officer responds. He refused to make/take a report as his shift is about to end.he had a very demeaning attitude and was quite agitated. While injuries were sustained, no one knew the extent of them at the time of the incident.none of the 7 airbags deployed and the airbag light never came on. The car itself was severely damaged and almost tipped completely over onto its roof.the passenger later learned that the reason for her severe pain and inability to walk 3 weeks after the accident was due to a severed hip joint.of course the camry driver's geico insurance handled the initial claim and repaired the suzuki. They balked at the injuries, but after retaining counsel finally paid out a small portion on the medical; the passenger has permanent life long problems as a result, lost her job and has a large partially unpaid medical bill. The vehicle was "okay" after the repair and then at 51310 miles the "air bag" light came on and stayed on. Reports to nhtsa and suzuki went completely ignored since there were not enough suzuki's sold.suzuki advised owner to continue making car payments, insurance premiums etc., but do not drive vehicle as they would not be responsible for injuries now that they were aware. What a complete joke!owner had to sell car as transportation was needed; why make payments on something you can't drive.gm owned the suzuki division at the time and have since closed the suzuki division. They again got off while others suffer for the rest of their lives!

Bought car brand new in 2007,had no problems with it except rear wheel bearing. At about 102,000 miles i had an air bag light come on for driver side,to costly to get repaired. Then at about 160,000 miles my front passenger air bag light came on. Recently i had received notification for recall for air bag problem. Called many dealerships tristate to my area, and they all told me there are no parts available.the state of west virginia is now enforcing inspection codes, and i cannot get my car inspected. I called number on recall card, and it seems that they are reading from a cue card and offered no help at all.i was forced to buy another car, which cannot really afford at this time, dealer offered me $500 for my suzuki, which to me was an insult.he explained that it was due to airbag situation, and they would have to send car to auction, believing they would not get much for car. I declined offer and car is sitting in driveway, suzuki should be responsible for putting me back in debt!

I noticed the airbag light staying on in late april 2011. I took the car to suzuki dealership in san jose they reportedly fixed the problem but the light came back on in september and i returned to the dealership. They seemingly fixed it, although they said it might take replacing one or both of the seats for upwards of $2,000 butwhen i drove away the light was not on. Now in november the light is back on. Since i have read so many complaints about this problem with other suzuki sx4's i would like to see a recall and a permanent solution to this problem.

I bought a 2007 suzuki sx4 new.at about 55000 miles, the driver's side airbag light came on.i did a quick, or so i thought, scan from a snap on obd2 scanner, just to find out, that the dealer is the only one who can scan these cars.so i looked on the internet for a solution, to find out that there are alot of people with the same problems.i called the dealer to ask about the situation, seeing as how virginia has state inspections, and the light can not flash or stay on, and was told that i could bring it in at a "starting cost of $80" for a scan to find out the problem."it will only be a couple hundred dollars if anything slid under the seat and caused the wires to come out of the connector.", is the next thing i was told.after that, seeing as how i looked on line, i asked about the seat cushion issues that i have read so much about, and was told, " that would be expensive".i do not understand how this can be as big of a problem, and we the consumer are responsible for their faulty equipment.i also had to ask if the airbag system was still active, and was told "no.if the system has a fault, it shut off the whole thing".so my family's safety has no bearing on their wallet.as long as they get your money they don't care?so being as upset as i was i found the u.s.a. Corporate number and called to tell them the problem as well and was told, "contact your dealer, there is nothing i can do for you."

The contact owns a 2007 suzuki sx4. When the vehicle was started, the air bag indicator illuminated and remained lit. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where a diagnostic test located failure code: dtcb1312. The mechanic stated that the front passenger seat needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not called. The failure mileage was approximately 76,000.

I spoke with the suzuki recall resolution team (1-855-815-8359) concerning their recall notice due to problems with the front passenger sensing system sensor mat built into the front passenger seat bottom cushion.the nearest approved location for this repair is 91 miles from my home in reno, at people's folsom lake suzuki, folson ca 95630.i requested that the repair be made in the reno area or that i be reimbursed for mileage (irs rate $0.575/mile) and time (estimated at 6 hours at my billable rate.)i was told that i would have to pay for the work to have it done in reno and that they would not reimburse me for mileage and time.they said they would keep my information on file and notify me if they decided to have the repair done in a location closer to reno.

The contact owns a 2007 suzuki sx4. The contact stated that the air bag light illuminated and stayed on. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer six months prior to the failure where the computer was reset and a sensor replaced under warranty. The vin was unavailable. The manufacturer had not been notified. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.

The contact owns a 2007 suzuki sx4.the contact stated that the air bag light illuminates and indicates that the air bag is off.he took the vehicle to the dealer twice, but the failure remains.he also stated that the brakes extend to the floor when trying to stop the vehicle.the brakes have to be pumped in order to stop.this failure occurs at any speed.the dealer replaced the master cylinder.the vin was unknown.the current mileage was 11,000 and failure mileage was 15.

The contact owns a 2007 suzuki sx-4. The contact stated that whenever starting the engine, the air bag warning indicator was illuminated continuously. The contact referenced nhtsa campaign id number 13v405000 (air bags) however, the contact was not able to have the vehicle serviced because the needed part was unavailable. The manufacturer was not notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 13,000.

The contact owns a 2007 suzuki sx4. The contact stated that the air bag sensor illuminated on the instrument panel while driving 50 mph. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and the dealer stated that air bag control module sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 61,000 and the current mileage was 62,200. The consumer was informed the rear axle was leaking oil. The air bag and seat belt light illuminated while driving.the dealer informed the consumer the seat sensor failed and it would cost $1300 to replace the passenger side seat bottom unit.the rear differential was leaking. The catalytic converter had to be replaced for the second time, due to premature failure.updated 05/23/12

The contact owns a 2007 suzuki sx4. The contact stated that the air bag warning light was illuminated. The dealer advised that the air bag sensor would need to be reset to correct the failure.the sensor was reset but did not correct the failure. The dealer then advised there was a short that was causing the failure. In addition, the contact was advised that when the air bag warning light was off, then the air bags would operate as designed. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 52,000.

I own a 2007 suzuki sx4 and in august my airbag and seatbelt light came on and stayed on. I am upset that it cost money to look at this vehicle and that the cost of the sensor replacements and fixtures exceed the amount left to pay on this vehicle and there is no warranty coverage for such a failure. This vehicle has greatly failed on this level and suzuki needs to fix this issue thru recall or a deeply discounted price. This fixture effects owners on every level. I will not purchase another vehicle with suzuki and i believe others agree. Suzuki will lose current and potential consumers for such an oversight.

The contact owns a 2007 suzuki sx4.the contact stated that the air bag and seat belt warning lights would illuminate on the instrument panel sporadically.the dealer and manufacturer were contacted and advised the contact that they would return the call at a later date, but were not responsive. The vehicle was not repaired.the failure and the current mileage was 60,000.

The contact owns a 2007 suzuki sx4. The contact stated that the air bag warning light would illuminate on a consistent basis. When a passenger would sit in the front seat the light would remainilluminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who advised him that the sensor failed and the entire front passenger seat had to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and offered to pay half off the repair and labor cost. The failure mileage was approximately 34,000. The vin was unavailable.

The front passenger weight sensor for the srs airbag system had been intermittently going on and off with someone in the seat and out of the seat.this began within 100 miles of ownership, and occurred very frequently.the dealer could never replicate this.they stated the system was designed to work that way even when a 300 lb. Tech was sitting in the seat and the light came on showing the airbag system off.the sensor is now completely out, and the airbag light is on along with the passenger seat belt indicator both stay lit continually.now that the sensor is completely out i am outside of my 36,000 mile warranty and am now in my extended warranty i purchased at the time i bought the sx4. The extended warranty will not cover a new sensor which has been quoted to me at $2,600.00.they are sneaking through a loop hole that excludes the airbag system after an accident.in which they won't pay if the airbag has been deployed. I am now stuck with a car that has airbags that may or may not deploy at anytime.i was told chances are in an accident they will not deploy.this is a huge safety concern.i hope to never have an accident, but if you have a safety system you want it to work.this is a common problem for the suzuki sx4's.very few sx4's do not have this issue.and given long enough the airbag system will shut down if the sensor is not replaced, and if this happens outside of the manufacturer warranty your stuck driving a ticking time bomb.i simply hope i'm not driving down the road one day and the airbag system suddenly decides it's time to deploy.i love the car i just wish suzuki would figure out what's wrong with their sensor fix it and replace it for all of us owners before someone gets seriously hurt from a lack of safety restraints.

Purchased sx4 2007 suzuki 5/31/07. Also purchased 60 month/$50,000 mile warranty for $645.00 at time of purchase. On 12/9/2010 at 52,000 thousand miles (2,000 mile ov. Warranty), passenger air bag light came on. Made appt. To take vehicle to dealership 12/22/10. Told sensor was bad and cost approximately $1,000.00 to repair. Follow-up call to dealership produced offer to repair at 1/2 the price ($500.00)! !familyhas purchased multiple vehicles at dealership. This occurred 2,000 miles (not even one oil change) over warranty when vehicle was only 3 1/2 years old.daughter commutes to college/home in this vehicle, and to work/home.rarely has passengers in vehicle!called american suzuki at 1-800-934-0934. Opened a case. Told to get back in touch with dealership to provide them with case number. Told technical manager would review our case.told dealership may cover part, labor, or both; and we would hear something within 48-72 hours.contacted back by dealership restating original offer. Called american suzuki back.told our warranty had expired, and the dealership's offer was a "good will" gesture. Told dealership not required to do anything. Well, we are not required to purchase additional suzuki vehicles, or to get ripped-off buying $645.00 good-for-nothing extended warranties with $100.00 deductibles which should not be needed, and usually aren't--until they're expired.air bags are a safety issue, and sensor should be a recall item.not sure if air bag system will work at all, or if car will pass inspection.customers should not have to replace faulty high-priced $$$$ defective parts.american suzuki should responsibly produce quality products and stand behind them. Brag about 100,000 mile/10 year warranty.that warranty is very limited as to what it actually covers.good racket:expensive good-for-nothing extended warranties and faulty parts produce good referral business for the dealership's service department.customer satisfaction zero.

This issue deals with the passenger airbag sensor in my 2007 suzuki sx-4. The sensor first started giving me problems about a year ago. I took the car in to bill siedle's suzuki where they reset the light. I went online and began reading thru the blogs and noticed that this appears to be a common problem that many suzuki sx-4s are having. Recently i took my car in for some warranty work regarding concerning the transmission. When i got my car back the airbag sensor light was on again. I mentioned it to the service representative who explained to me that it was a defect with a sensor in the passenger seat and because the car was out of its bumper to bumper warranty i would have to pay for the expenses myself. The sensor by itself cost an amazing $2400. I contacted suzuki in california to see what could be done. They had me contact someone at bill siedle's suzuki and request a goodwill service. They denied the good will service. Coincidently, i drove a 2009 suzuki sx-4 while vacationing in puerto rico and it also happened to have the same issues. It's evident that there is an issue with this sensor and suzuki refuses to correct it. I've had numerous issues relating to my suzuki ranging from cosmetics to mechanical issues, even the sensors in the tires which monitor tire pressure are broken and now my tpms light is constantly lit on my dashboard. I do have 90,000 miles on my car but i keep it in pristine condition and any of the mechanics who have worked on the car can testify to this. However, my problems with the airbag light don't appear unique based on the endless forums that i've read and 90,000 freeway miles don't wear out an airbag sensor in 3 years. Additionally, it deals with the safety of my family. I have no idea how that airbag with react in the event of an accident. Whatever the issue is, it also gives an indication that the passenger seatbelt is not on. I would appreciate you looking into this issue. Thanks for your help.

At random times, my passenger air bag light will come on while someone is sitting in the seat.the person will then have to move around in the seat to get the light to turn off.sometimes it takes more than ten minutes.i have brought the complaint to a suzuki dealership, and they claim that the problem is normal.i don't feel that this should be right, as if at the time the air bag light was on, and there were to be a accident, the air bag would not deploy, possibly causing great harm to the passenger i would have in the vehicle.

2007 suzuki sx4: naguabo, pr. Air bag light and front passenger sensing system indicators stay on. Took to dealer, computer reset done. Lasted only 4 days, air bag sys fault lights on again. Taken back to dealer, service dept said the front passenger seat air bag sensor was faulty. Mileage 54,442 not covered under warranty. Over $2,000 to fix issue. This must be a factory defect that somehow appears after your warranty expires. This is a safety issue.

I bought my sx4 2007 suzuki nov 2007. I have had problems with gas fumes inside car, took it to service said there were no leaks. Still smells on occasions. Took car to service 3 times the had it for 7 days and could find no problem. It is the worst car i have ever had for poor gas mileage. And also the passenger airbag light comes on constantly. Was told passenger must not be sitting in seat right, give me a break!!!!.i wouldn't recommend this car.

1) normal driving with seated adult passenger2) pass air bag off light came on. Numerous times between october 7 2006and continuing until yesterday ( january 14, 2007).2a) contrast to poor to see above mentioned light in sunlight.3) nothing after three trips to the repair shop and several other requests for the dealer and american suzuki to repair the problem.

The contact owns a 2007 suzuki sx4.while driving approximately 30 mph the air bag warning lightilluminated on the instrument panel.he had to turn off the engine to reset the warning message. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer, and the technician concluded that the air bag connector module failed.the vehicle has not been repaired at this time.the failure mileage was 56,000.the current mileage was 64,000.

My suzuki sx4 is now 4 months and 2500 miles old.the airbag off light will come on intermittently when an adult passenger is seated in the front passenger seat.the dealer could not duplicate the problem by placing a 240lb technician in the parked car.the dealer also acknowledged that this occurs on many suzuki vehicles.a call to suzuki america resulted in no action, simply being told that is the way it is designed.sounds to me like it is designed to kill someone.

The contact owns a 2007 suzuki sx4.the contact stated that the passenger side air bag sensor activated sporadically when a passenger is seated in the seat.he took the vehicle to the dealer and they were unable to duplicate the failure.they stated that the passenger sensor air bag was working as designed.the failure mileage was 100 and current mileage was 7,800.

Purchased vehicle 11/24/06 not 1 week old and tpms light on 12/6/06 they reset it on 12/11/06 light went on again per service tech wheel sensor not communicating therefore replaced sensor, hooked up to scanner and cleared codes road tested ok, 12/13/06 light went on again per service tech they spoke with suzuki tech line and the computer did not register the sensors, registered the sensors calibrated them as well and road tested so far so good.2nd problem, on 2/1/07 my engine light went on they reprogrammed ecm for this code as per tbs ts0111286r (not sure what that meant but the light went off).also while on your site i saw a complaint in reference to the passenger air bag light going on and off.i too have seen this light go on a couple of times and will contact my dealer once again tomorrow.

Condensation is building up inside the ac unit that is located behind the dash on the passenger side interior. When the a/c is operating, it drips and when it is being driven, it flows a steady stream of water, which continues after the vehicle is shut off for about 2 minutes.

Driver's floor mat became jammed under the clutch pedal interfering with getting the car stopped at a red light.i was able to reach down and pull the mat back out of the way.later i found that the hook or bracket holding the mat in place had broken.it is made from light weight plastic rather than metal.

The paint on this care is of very poor quality and chips down to the bare metal quite easily causing rapid oxidation to the exposed areas.

Manufacturing defect in sx4.

1.driving with cruise control engaged in hilly terrain.2.when driving with cruise control engaged, in hilly terrain, if the hill is steep enough that the transmission downshifts twice, upon reaching the crest of the hill or otherwise leveling out, the cruise control does not return the car to the set speed, but will continue to accelerate the car to four mile per hour or more over set speed.as i have not yet let the vehicle go completely through it maximum over-acceleration, four mile over is all i can report.have not had that many opportunities to experience this, since don't drive under these conditions very often.it is consistent in its occurrence.the over-acceleration can be very disconcerting, and, since it occurs in hilly terrain, can, if it is not a known issue to the driver, could put them in danger of losing control of the vehicle.the over-acceleration also occurs when there is a single down-shift of the transmission, but is not as severe, being only in the range of two miles per hour.still, i don't think there should be any over-acceleration of any magnitude.3.talked to the service manager at the dealer where i purchased the car, and he indicated that this is a known issue and that there were no plans for any repairs.upsetting, but, since i know this will happen, i can handle it.given the toyota issue, though, i feel obliged to report that this occurs, it is a known issue to the manufacturer, and that there are no plans for a fix.

He took the vehicle to the dealer and after five weeks the dealer called him on march 19th, and told him to pick up the vehicle because there was nothing wrong with it. This is my wife's vehicle, but while i was driving it , noticed that the visibility to the front left side about 45 degrees to the left is very limited, narrow and almost non-existent while the driver seat is all the way back and with the backrest in a normal position.is a very difficult to see incoming traffic on a left curve in small rural roads.this is because the narrow width of the front windshield and the wide reinforcement between the driver side door, the small side window and the windshield.had to lean forward while reducing the speed in order not to hit incoming traffic.

The contact stated that nhtsa campaign number: 10v513000 (visibility) and nhtsa campaign number: 13v405000 (air bags) had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for repairs. Have to replacement catalytic converters twice over 10 years owner this car.
