A crack has formed in the area where the liquid/vapor separator bracket is welded inside the fuel tank. I investigated with a boroscope--image attached. This is allowing fuel leakage to occur through the emissions system. This is the same problem as the 2003-2006 recall (attached pdf). After communicating with the suzuki dealership, the district manager refused to repair the gas leakage.
I recently purchased a new 2008 suzuki sv650 standard motorcycle.the incident happened right before i entered the freeway.the screw securing the left foot gear shifter became loose and fell off.this is a serious hazard since motorcycle had only 600 miles when it happened.i could have stalled or lost control if i entered the freeway.
