Consumer's vehicle involved in a front impactat 20 mph. Upon impact, air bags did not deploy.consumer will contact manufacturer.
I am not sure if this is really a defect or not, but my airbags did not deploy upon impact. My car was legally parked on the street when it was totaled by a drunk driver going 70 mph in a head-on collision. Some have told me that they did not deploy because the key was not in the ignition, but others (including the body shop owner) claim that i had a faulty airbag sensor on my car. If this is a defect, i want the suzuki manufacturer to know about it so that no one will get hurt. If not, just disregard this message. I feel strongly that this could have been a manufacturing glitch. My new car had many assembly line glitches when i bought it new in july of this year. For instance, the brake light would constantly switch on and off even when my foot was nowhere near the brake or if the car was parked and turned off. Also, a few days after the purchase of this vehicle, the alignment was so bad that i almost flew off the freeway into a concrete guard rail. These problems were all safety issues. They bothered me so much that i doubt i will ever buy another suzuki again.

I bought my car used and it has a new tranny, cv axles and everything the only thing original is the engine.so i have already had to replace the o2 sensors twice at $60 each. I have had to replace the tps sensor, thermostat and housing, ignition coil, battery, starter, fuel pump and alternator. All because i kept getting the check engine lights on and throwing coding all over the place. And the car still stalls when i stop at a stop light and runs and idles rough. I have spent over $1500 fix this problem and it still exists i did all the work myself i have worked on cars my whole life and am a mechanic. Every mechanic i take it to can both find the problem and suzuki can't give an answer to the problem and i don't know what to do.

While driving engine warning light illuminated.dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem.

The check engine appeared on the dashboard and remained on.driver noticed that the vehicle vibrated and rode roughly.driver took vehicle to the dealer for inspection, andmechanic determined that the cap was not screwed on properly.this caused air to escape into the cap.driver informed the mechanic that this problemoccurred more than once, and had not been resolved.
Our car keeps cutting off while driving.it has been into a suzuki dealership 4 times and is now in for a 5th time (all in 2 months).it has cut off in an intersection, which was very dangerous.

I have had problems with my car not starting and then dying when slowing down at a stop light and such. I have had the car towed twice and its been in the shop multiple times. They still haven't been able to figure out what is wrong with it. They have replaced everything they think it could be and still with no success. I'm worried that i could get seriously hurt and am mad at the fact that no one knows what the problem is. Not even the manufacturer.
While driving 65 mphconsmer heard a knocking noise coming from the engine. Also, it was hard to down shift the gears.dealership was notifed, but did not resolve the problem.
Dt*:the contact stated on 5 occasions the check engine light illuminated.this happens at various speeds and under any driving conditions.when the check engine light illuminates it does not affect the performance of the engine.the vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection the check engine light code was reset after each incident.on 3 occasions the check engine light re illuminated after 45 minutes, the 4th time after a few weeks and the last time after several months.the manufacturer has been alerted.
I purchased a new 2004 suzuki forenza in july of 2004. I must say it's been ok. In april of 2008, the check engine light came on, and would not go off. I took it to have it serviced at jiffy lube, and they told me to take it to a mechanic with a computer to determine the problem as it could be a number of things. I took it to a mechanic shop, was told the coolant was low, and they saw a spot on the engine and maybe the engine was sucking up the coolant, to bring it back in 2 weeks and they would check this. In the meantime i thought the car was still under warranty and took it to a suzuki dealer after i heard the words could be an engine problem. The suzuki repair shop initially said, the car needed a computer update, and this would fix the problem. The same day, i picked the car up, and it was driving worse than before and the check engine lightand car was not starting in the morning . Itook the car in again, the next week, paid $244.00 for a $20.00 part, they kept the car 3 days, (waiting the$20.00 part to come in supposedly), picked the car up on friday 5/16, sunday 5/18, same problem back again, called suzuki dealership, was told to bring car back in and they would look at it. In the meantime my extended warranty is now expired (or course) and i looked on the internet for other complaints about this model car and read 7 prior complaints of the same problems. Most of the complaints mentioned no one could solve the problem and the manufacturer has been notified. It appears this is a problem that happens before the payoff of the car, and it no one can find the problem, how is the consumer to handle the problem. The prior complaints also noted the car was in the shop 4 or 5 times, still no solutions. With our economy the way it is today, issues with our cars just add to the problem. The manufacturer should be able to fix/advise/consult or something about how to get this issue with the check engine light, and car not starting in the morning resolved.
I bought a brand new 2004 suzuki forenza from a suzuki dealer in tucson arizona on 05/21/04. From the first day we did not feel that a/c was working correctly and was cooling after a approx 30 min drive. I bought a temp gauge to check the vent temp and the reading will not go lower then 50f. All driver's should know that a nice cold a/c should reach 40f at its best performance. We took the car to the dealer and was told that the freon was low and have corrected the problem. The a/c worked good for a couple of days and started performing the same as before. Second time, i took thedealer technician with his digital temp reader on a drive. The outside temp was 106f and the vent temp was 48f. Please note when i went to the dealership the car was running for more then 30 mins. Dealership referred to the suzuki tech line and told me that there is nothing wrong with the a/c. There explanation was that if the outside temperature is 99f then the vent temp should be higher then 50f and as it was 106f outside, your a/c is working fine. The dealer will not repair or replace a shoddy, cheap air conditioning system. Please check all items on the car prior to buying a suzuki automobile.

I purchased a 2004 suzuki forenza, stick shift new. At or about 12,000 miles it started to cut off after decelerating to either make a turn or enter the interstate for no apparent reason.i've taken it to two separate dealerships on several occasions, with the hopes that they could find and solve the problem.so far they have failed in their attempts.the car still cuts off after it been running for awhile when you're stopping or slowing down and the clutch is depressed.in these instances i have to either stop the car if i'm coming to a traffic light to restart or if i'm trying to enter a busy highway i have to come off the clutch to restart.i don't think this is how a new car is suppose to drive.on several occasions as i'm leaving work and attempting to enter interstate 95 which is busy, as i'm slowing down to enter the car cuts off and on several occasions i've had tractor trailers behind me accelerating to enter as well and all i can imagine is them slamming into my rear.certainly frightening.has there been any similar complaints of this nature so that i can take this information to the dealership and perhaps lend them a hand in correcting the problem before i'm seriously hurt?the car only has about 23,000 miles at the present.thanks in advance for you help in anyway.
Car will not properly start or will die after turning it on.

I purchased a suzuki forenza 9/2004. The main reason i purchased it was because of the mpgs. It was sold as 22-28 mpg. I have not received better than 17 mpgs under any conditions!!!! this is not even close. It is also a 4 cylinder. The dealer has been notified, and stated that they are getting a lot of complaints. They stated the government fixes these mpg's-doesn't that mean they are responsible to meet these guidelines. With gas prices what they are, this car is no linger fuel economic.

Front strut mounts & braking system are bad on 2004 suzuki forenza. Went to several shops to get them inspected and every shop found the same problem was even told this is a common problem with this model and a hazard to drive. Researched and many consumers online have complained about this. The car shakes and the struts wiggle and hard time breaking.
Strut assembly of vehicle has an inch of vertical play, hence vehicle not able to be aligned. Vehicle is 2004 suzuki firenza. Have addressed issue with 3 different dealers and none can agree on what the problem is. One even stated thatwas normal for vehicle. Called manufacturer in brea ca, and they refused to address the issue. Furthermore i was refused the right bvto speak to management person. On april 21, 2006 after coming off i95 interstate coming to a stop my vehicle accelerated, resulting in hitting a parked car. I took the vehicle to the dealer, who "found nothing wrong." the vehicle continued to have the same performance, accelerating when attempting to slow down after over 45 mph non stop, on 3/27/07 i had the vehicle in for parking lights not shutting off, and spoke with a technician who immediately know the problem.
