Defective frame or un-safe dedsign on a 2007 classic ridley motorcycle.the frame split causing the front triple tree of the motorcycle to seperate and bike colapse.the motorcycle has aproximately 9000 miles of use and has never been wrecked.there has been no off road travelall miles were on paved roads.there has been no modification to motorcycle and all maintainence has been doneby an authorized dealer.i was riding the motorcycle and at a point i felt the handlebars appear to be loose.i thought that they needed tightened at the triple tree.i had previously been traveling at highway speeds but slowed down because i felt unsafe.upon turning onto a side road which was slightly bumpy the frame of the motorcycle gave way.i was traveling at a slow speed of aproximately 10 - 15 miles per hour and was able to stop the cycle without laying it down.upon inspection of the cycle we identified that the frame tubing has split.the weld of the frame remained intact but the tubing metal itself split.i was thankful that i was able to identify that there was a problem with the motorcycle and take precautionary measures and did not wreck at a rate of 60 - 70 miles per hours.if that had happened i probably would not be writing this my spouse would.
