The contact owns a 2020 spartan k2. The contact stated while driving 68 mph, the diesel exhaust fluid (def) system failed not allowing the vehicle to exceed 6 mph. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to a local dealer nor independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and informed the contact that the part to repair the vehicle was currently on back order. The failure mileage was approximately 5,500.
