The diamond plate that covers my fender on both sides of my fender are cracked through the bolts that secure them and the support arm that attaches the fender to the trailer frame is cracked/broken at the frame.working through my dealer where i purchased the boat it appears shorelander has agreed to replace under warranty, however, this is the 2nd time this problem has occurred and been replaced (1st time last year in october).additionally, i am part of an online forum for similair boat owners and many members are having the exact same problem.one member stated that the support arm, once broken, can then swing out and into one of the tires thus causing it to shred/blow.this member documented this online and even shows pictures. I'm not sure if shorelander is researching into the root cause, however it could potentially be tires or defective parts.this is a serious safety concern and could easily be overlooked.the support arm could crack/break without the visual symptoms of the cracked diamond plate, which is how members are finding the problem.i highly suggest nhtsa look into this and get shorelander involved.please see the following threads online for more information.https://jetboaters.net/threads/2015-shorlandr-trailers-are-having-issues-with-fender-brackets-cracking.10197/https://jetboaters.net/threads/shorelandr-serious-safety-issue-check-your-fenders.10951/in the first thread on the 2nd page you can see a where there are comparative pictures of the support arm cracking around the bolt.these pictures show 3 different members and the crack look almost identical.additionally another member posted since then and it also looks very similar.i have updated my pictures.the first picture shows the cracked diamond plat of the fender.the 2nd/3rd are of the support arm that attaches the fender to the frame of the trailer.

Fender brackets that secure the fenders to the trailer are broken on both sides. There is also a diamond plate cover on the fenders, that are secured with bolts. There are cracks around the bolt holes, and bolts are coming off the plate. If bracket completely fails it can shread a tire, it the bolts fail on the diamond plate the plate could fly off while in motion. Noticed fenders bouncing excessively while transporting . Yamaha boat and trailer purchase 4 weeks ago.
