The contact owns a 2016 shasta airflyte. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign numbers: 15v553000(visibility) and 16v218000 (equipment); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. Camping world of st. Louis (2200 e pitman ave, wetzville, mo) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

2016 airflyte sat 16.consumer writes in regards to length of time to repair axle replacement recall and the cost to repair rv table wall mount problems.also, the table wall mount did not properly sit at the correct level and the mounts were off level between 1/4 to 1/2/ the bed would not lay flat. The consumer stated since the bed, did not lay flat, it could cause an accident and/or injury to the person lying on the bed.

4/11/16 the drivers side tire sheered off of the trailer causing a near fatal wreck with material damage while in motion on the i5 freeway in santa ana placing our family in harms way on a blind exit.this occured immediately following an axel replacement on the coach due to a petition.the recall was not completed with quality and was done with negligence. The chp (officer hamming from santa ana) and 511 confirmed that the lug nuts were able to be removed/tightened by hand and that they were not tightened properly from my dealer rv supercenter in temecula ca (after driving less than 60 miles) on both tires.it has come to our attention that the axel recall was not installed properly and used incorrect parts including the shackle making my coach sit too high and made unsafe to tow.additionally, we were not provided a new manual for the replacement axle nor a tool to tighten the lug nuts. I am extremely concerned about both this dealership incorrectly installing the recall axle for other customers as well as shasta not providing the correct parts to replace the axle.additionally, after the accident we noticed that the coach is now separating from the chassis showing light inside the coach near the dinette.we do not know if this is due to the accident or due to the poor quality of the structure of the shasta.we are aware of an open investigation dp 15-008 regarding 2015 and 2016 forest river shasta airflyte including structural issues as we are now having.i am aware that this also may be a wide spread issue that other consumers are having including someone in north carolina that has had fixed 3 times without resolution.

After delivery of our new "travel" trailer we noticed the wheel assembly (tires and rims) are under rated for the data plate on the trailer. The axel is also under rated for a unit this size.wheel clearance in the wheel well is also marginal.the tires and rims are rated for an automobile not a "travel" trailer.dealer said not to worry about it, and the manufacture has no comment. We are hesitant to actually travel on the highways with the original equipment because there may be early component failure.
