Air bag light illuminated. Dealer identified problem as "found spiral cable failed. Internal parts failure, spiral cable is behind the steering wheel and controls the driver side air bag unit"quoted cost of repair: $552 on top of the $130 already spent to discover the cause .
Car burning oil,128000 miles. Oil light can on before oil change was needed. Checked oil level it was really low. No visible leaks.i had to add 1 quart of oil 1 month getting oil changed. I have read that scion xb has had a problem with oil consumption because of the piston rings in previous models.wondering if my car is having the same problem
