I was notified in june of 2016 that my passenger airbag is recalled. Since then i have not been able to have any passengers ride in that seat in my car. This is very inconvenient because i can not fit my family in my car. I have waited patiently for a fix but since it has been nearly a year and they still are unable to come up with a remedy for the problem. I should be able to use my car in the manner it is intended to be used without endangering their lives! they should be willing to provide me with a rental car that seats five at no charge to me if they cannot fix my car. Nearly a year is too long for this problem to be fixed. And there is no end in sight.
" takatarecall"i do not feel comfort driving thiscar ,with a defective airbag. I have triedto get a car from toyota, theytell me that ,i have to get one from enterprise.i do not use creditcard,is there anyway ,i could get a loaner car untiltheairbag is fix.this has been going for over year now.i need transportation.
Takata recalltoyota is not doing enough to expedite the recall of the affected vehicles. It has been over a year since i received a recall notice for the passenger airbag and it's still listed as having no remedy available even though i am listed in a priorityzone a. This is ridiculous. Nhtsa, please pressure toyota and takata into expediting this dangerous and life threatening recall for the sake of everybody's safety.
"takata recall"bought this vehicle brand new in 2011 from hendricks toyota in 2011(charleston, sc). They've had possession of the above mentioned vehicle since july 2016 (over 6 months). Still no fix anytime soon (as per gm @ hendricks). Both dealer & manufacturer refuse to accommodate me with a vehicle comparable to the size of the compact suv i spent $25,000 on (just paid off) regardless of the fact i cannot get my disabled mother transported in the sedans they are forcing on people (i am her only close relative & form of transport to dr. Appt., grocery store etc.). My vehicle will probably end up having problems from sitting there for years, & i should not have to go spend thousands more on another. This is a major inconvenience as it is, but now the dealership nor manufacturer have answers & want to play the finger pointing game. I paid them faithfully $25,000 & i can't get treated right. I'm fed up with toyota in general. Now, i want a refund to purchase another vehicle & in the meantime, they owe all of their customers loaners comparable to whatever they purchased to begin with, even if they have to get a system going with enterprise etc. We should not be insanely inconvenienced by toyota's mistakes and negligence. As a customer, you absolutely cannot talk to these people. They truly could care less about you so long as they get your hard earned money. One thing is for sure, the way they treat their customers on both ends, i will never ever buy a toyota ever again in my lifetime!
Takata recall. Have received several notices, but my local dealership says my vehicle is not yet been supplied with replacement parts. Toyota recommends that no one ride in the front passenger seat. The vehicle is now 6 years old and 100,000 + miles. Nhrsa recall 16v-340.

Takata recall we were notified 5 months ago that there was a critical issue with passenger side airbag failing in such a way that could cause the death of the passenger and that i shouldn't drive with a passenger in my car. So, for 5 months i have done that, but given the severity of the problem and the resulting limitations on how i'm am able to use my car, i find the length of time to repair the airbags to be unacceptable. This is my family car and i normally use it for group trips and things like that. The value of the car is being degraded in my mind since we are coming up on nearly 10% of the car's life has been spent with a death-trap passenger seat.

7/18/16 i was informed is under the takata airbag recall.this personal vehicle is used daily transporting my children and adults for recreational athletics, school and personal convenience typical to a consumer.upon learning of the recall i was informed due to faulty airbag(s) im advised to not allow occupants to sit in the front passenger seat. Toyota could not explain why there is no issue with driver side airbag. Barring occupants from the vehicle is not a solution. Subsequently i feel the vehicle unsafe for operation.i contacted toyota informing them such. After weeks of arguing with toyota and only after stating i would seek legal counsel, toyota conceded to provide me a 'like for like' replacement rental vehicle.during the process of facilitating the loaner vehicle i was subjected to unprofessional and derogatory commentary and behavior by toyota employees whom stated 'i was trying to get something for nothing'.my vehicle was taken into possession by toyota and when i asked where it would be taken and how it would be secured i was advised they were not sure.furthermore to get possession of the replacement rental vehicle i was required to make a personal rental deposit and the vehicle provided is a sedan not an suv (or like for like).when i asked toyota about being provided the correct vehicle i was told i would be contacted.it has been 3 weeks since this occurred and toyota has not informed me of the location and security of my car, the status and estimated time of repairs, nor how they intend to solve the issue of the replacement vehicle which is not a suitable 'like for like' solution.furthermore, yesterday the rental car agency contacted me to advise that toyota was only covering 2 weeks of rental charges and wanting to know what my intentions are with the rental car' all while i continue to make payments on the suv.
Takata recall...pretty scary driving in a car where the passenger airbag could explode at any moment and shoot shrapnel metal at the passenger or driver. Would like this fixed asap
Was driving on paved road at approx. 15 miles per hour, when another car came from my left (driver's ) side.he was drifting and hit my left front bumper area.the airbags did not deploy.i hit my head, left shoulder, and chest on the steering wheel.my head also hit the dash.my steering wheel is bent completely.the whole front bumper is off the car and the driver's side quarter panel and fender well.my hood is completely shifted to the passenger side.cannot believe this much damage can be done without the airbags deploying. Takata recalljust wondering how long toyota plans to drag this out?no one may sit in the passenger seat and this has been going on now for 6 months and all toyota says is parts are unavailable.
Takata recall. My scion xb is main car for use with my children and family. It's used as means of transportation to and from school. I was informed of the recall last year and still have not heard on when this will get fixed. It is a major safety concern especially when i'm transporting children and it is impossible to not go anywhere without using the passenger side since all seats are being used when driving with family. I feel the recall has not been handled in a timely manner and i fear for what may happen if an accident does take place. It is said that drivers should arrange to have airbags replaced as soon as possible however i have not been contacted nor can i find any info on when my make and model will have this issue solved.

Takata recall. I was notified almost a year ago about the pending recall, but nothing has been done about fixing my vehicle since. I am concerned about the hazard of injury or death while driving this vehicle.
"takata recall". I was notified about this "recall" in june 2016 its now 8 months later and nothing has been done. In the meantime my front passenger seat is not supposed to be used! eight months! this is not the car i paid for-i bought a car with seating for 5, 2 in front 3 in back. Now toyota is issuing notifications to phase 2 people and they haven't even begun to address the issue for phase 1 folks. There's not yet even a date for when we can expect this gross safety problem to be fixed. This is totally unacceptable. I can't even sell the car. Who would buy a car that has an unusable front seat?
"takata recall" i got a recall letter from toyota about my front air bag, but was told remedy was not available yet, and is being told not to have anyone in my front passenger seat. This is ridiculous giving me a letter and i cannot do anything about it. I always have someone else in my front seat, sometimes i sit on the front passenger seat.
Takata recall - still waiting and i'm toyota's 'zone a'. It's been a year since toyota recommended that i do not operate this vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat. How much longer do i have to make payments on only a part of a vehicle?
Takatarecall not fixed

Takata inflators. Receiving a recall notice in march of 2016 and no replacement parts by october 2016 not being able to drive with a passenger in front seat for extended months and still no solution is an unacceptable amount of time. I will be looking into getting rid of this vehicle due to not being able to transport my family safely or properly.

I believe what happened to my car is related to the problem described in tsb no. Sb0024-11r2. Https://www.cars.com/articles/2007-2015-scion-tc-xb-piston-issue-1420682965001/.a friend who sells cars sent me that link sat july 21.i had no prior knowledge such an issue existed and that bulletin was dated 12.22.2015.about 2 weeks ago, my car suddenly started having problems accelerating from the moment i turned it on and pulled away from the curb and throughout the day driving mostly on city streets.(95% of my driving is on city streets a short distance from home.i am a professional dog walker and pick up clients' dogs and take them to city parks for off leash walks & hikes). After a few days of this, i called sf toyota in daly citywhere i have brought my car in for regular servicing the entire time since purchase in march 2014. I had to wait over a week for the soonest appointment the day i brought my car in, it started smoking on the freeway and shut off. I called a tow truck.2 days later, on friday july 25, 2018, toyota informed me there was a hole in my engine and they have no idea how it could have gotten there.i went in the following day to retrieve belongings from my car and spoke with service manager ray. He showed me the hole and a part of my engine that came off and was found under the hood somewhere, causing the hole- the connecting rod. The connecting rod was goughed up pretty badly and i saw another piece of it stuck down somewhere.the hole had what looked like metal shavings in it and i asked if thatwas why the rod was goughed up and if that's what the metal shavings were from and ray nodded yes and said most likely yes.he told me if i wanted to try and get any assistance from toyota, i would have to pay $2-3k to have them remove and inspect my engine and that there would be no guarantee they would help.
"oil comp recall" went to my local toyota dealership talked to the assti service manager and was told i could not do the recall there that i would have to go back to the place that first tested it. I bought the car and it was tested in alabama i live in fl. Went to the toyota dealership and they said it was in final stages that they juat have to preform the recall the final step. Which is the work. The assti manager was very very rude and told me id have to go to alabama to get it done. I am losibg atleaat 2 qts or more of oil every 2 weeks. This is causing alot of issues running wise. My cat converter went out due to this as well. I want to get it done as soon as possible cause i have a little girl and its my daily and i dont want something to happen.
Low oil pressure and engine shaking while stationary
8/26/14 mechanic found bad water pump/ ac blowing warm - recharged system, on 8/27 made clacking sound. 8/28 went 10 miles at 70 mph. On off ramp of freeway car started smoking, air went completely warm, battery light and heat indicator light came on. Pulled into parking lot & had to be towed. 8/29/14 second mechanic found ac compressor had to be replaced. Plastic brace that supported belts connected to the ac compressor had broken off and wrecked the compressor. Said could have caused much more damage. Should the water pump and ac compressor have gone at 51,000 miles? all maintenance had been done regularly. This is much too early for these parts to have gone bad.
2011 scion xb abrupt throttle response off idle.vehicle "jack rabbits" to accelerate.very hard to accelerate slowly and safely.can be dangerous in traffic and parking lots.you have to keep your left foot hard on the brake.toyota refuses to acknowledge responsibility for the problem.
The contact owned a 2011 scion xb. While driving 35 mph, the vehicle failed to stop when the brake pedal was depressed. As a result, the contact rear ended another vehicle. The air bags deployed. The contact suffered a minor ear injury that did not require medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed and deemed totaled by the contact's insurance company. The contact called an auto finance company, but they did not assist. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The failure mileage was 153,000. The vin was unknown.
While traveling in a straight line of left lane on the parkway at 50 mph, i lightly applied the brakes and the rear of the vehicle immediately began to sway uncontrollably left and right. The brakes were locked causing the vehicle to head off the road and onto the grass and crash into the guide rail. Immediately following the accident, i noticed the abs+vsc+emergency brake lights were lit. I had the car towed to the collision shop for inspection and repairs which will hopefully start next week. I asked that the computer code readouts be noted by the inspector when he arrives. I've been driving this route to work for 55,000 miles and never experienced this type of response during braking. The vehicle has a current inspection sticker on it.

Defective rear hatch latch. Frequently shows to be unlatched despite being latched. Can't tell if a door is unlatched since it is one indicator for all doors on the instrument panel. Happens most frequently when hot or if the sun shines on rear of car. Indicates unlatched parked or in motion.
My 2011 scion xb has a cracked or broken weld/frame/body in the driver's side rear door area. This has been identified and reported to scion. As of yet they are unable to make effective repair to the problem area. I am concerned that other drivers may have a similar latent issue that in a side impact will lead to increased injury or death from structural failure.
