My air bag light keeps coming on for several hours at a time while i am driving it
I bought a 2007 saturn vue from a dealer as a used vehicle. Shortly after, the airbag light started coming on.sometimes it would go off and it has persisted to the point now that it doesn't go off at all.when the problem first occurred, i consulted the owners manual and found notes written in it by the previous owner about the same problem.it was indicated that it was fixed (sensor) but started again shortly after.every month my on star reports indicate a problem which requires immediate attention.i had it seen at a gm dealer they want another $500 to fix it.
More then 5 times the suv has not started, and we had to replace the ignition switch because the key would not even turn in it. I believe we have tanaka airbags.
Air bag light goes on an off on passenger side. Now air bag light stays on all the time.it happened when car was moving and stopped.took it to shop to get it checked out saidit is a defective impact sensor an unable to verify ifair bag works . Am getting it replaced as soon as i get the money, just replaced catalatic converter at only 72000 miles. Dealer replaced it for 260.00 plus part 1200.00
The airbag light will illuminate on the dashboard at any time with no apparent cause (increase in accelerate, fast breaking, etc.) and will stay on for hours/days, the length of time that the light is on varies with each time the airbag light illuminates. It light turns on anywhere from 4-10 times per week.shouldn't be responsible to fix an apparent defect in the manufacturing of my vehicle.
My 2007 saturn vueall the time since i purchased it the passenger side deployment bag light will not work, unless i turn on the passenger heat , and the seat does not heat up, and i am still not sure it will work because it is an electrical problem, also my electric windows won't work on several occasions, and the ignition shift the key sticks and steering column locks when this happens, and it won't release the key. Dealer won't deal with it, wonder if there has been any other complaints because i do not feel safe especially when i have passengers, it cannot be trusted, not sure of any recalls, but it definitely needs to be looked into and fixed before anyone could get hurt.
I started my car and the driveside air bag light came on no blinking just on. My car had been parked while i was at work.i went home for lunch i figured it was just a glitch would go out went back to work parked it again then when i left to go home it was on again.in the past few months i have had my keys get stuck in the ignition switch and had to wiggle the steering wheel to.get them out.my radio screen will go all crazy funny numbers and i have had wind noise with both of my front doors since i have owned the vehicle.we took it to the dealership and the worked on the ignition switch when it was under warranty but it didn't help.now with the airbag i am terrified to drive the car i paid for and to let my child ride in it and it's my only transportation.it looks like every other saturn is getting recalled but this one we need help before we get hurt.i was not aware of these problems when i purchased this vehicle but now saddled with it hoping for someone to make sure we are safe like other car owners.
While driving i noticed the "air bag readiness" light come on.it stayed on for about 10-15 minutes until i reached my destination and turned off the engine.i turned the car back on and the light only stayed on for a short time, then went off.later that day when driving the light came back on and stayed on again until i turned off the engine.it did this several times.i checked the owners manual and it said to take it in for diagnostics to be run.it also said that the air bag could deploy unexpectedly, or not deploy at all if in an accident.i made and appointment on 07/24/2015 and took it to a dealer.after running the computer check on it, the technician said the passenger presence sensor needed to be replaced and it was not covered by my extended warranty.the parts would have to be ordered and would take several hours to install.the cost would be approximately $1,200 or more for parts and labor.i had to take off work twice to take in for service, and lost about 8 hours of work time due to this incident.also, the turn signal had to be replaced; it failed to turn off after making a turn, mostly to the left, but sometimes turning to the right also.i was told that neither of these should have needed to be replaced on my car with the mileage it has.

The passenger airbag light comes on intermittently regardless of speed, condition, or time of day.seats have not been wet from spillage or abuse.this failure causes me concern because i don't know what is next.and, is the airbag going to activate.
The air bag light comes and goes . Then when driving down the freeway the car just up and died. Had to restart it.i have also had it not pick up speed when i push the peddle .after rams drop then i can pick up speed this is something i have had going on for a while. No one can find out why.
Air bag lites (main and passenger seat) go on and off sporadically and for no reason, one sometimes both. Hitting a bump sometimes changed there setting, either on or off. Currently they are mostly off. Gm dealers and independent shops want $110 to $200 to analyze and $700 to $1200 to fix the problem.also the daylite running lite indicator no longer works, the seat belt alarm (not fastened) doesn't always sound and then comes on 3 or 4 minutes later, and the heater doesn't always "heat".
Air bag indicator comes on and off intermittently.when read by a reader during an inspection system did not post a error about air bag issue. Air bag indicator light was on and intermittently comes on and goes off.
Driver's side airbag light comes one and off. Sometimes stays on. Worried that it will inflate while driving or not at all in an accident. The light is on while driving and when not moving.

I purchased the used vue it came with12,000 or 12 months warranty we had it in the dealer many times,of course the air bag light wouldn't stay on. They told us they adjustedsensor code b0092. Every other when there was something wrong they replaced parts but not this air bag light. After the 12,000 warranty was up the air bag light stays on. I brought it the dealer where we purchased saturn after a $99.00 bill,2 yrs later the light is on. Ever once and a while if you twist and the light will go off. We are going to give this car to our daughter who is having a baby. Will it be safe for a family car? thank you
My airbag light stays on the whole time sometimes it blinks on and off and is this going to go off on me is i'm driving down the road i'm very concerned the airbag will pop out
Light for airbag comes onlight and signal for seat belt comes on even though seat belt is engaged.
There is a recall on similar models for the same issue, but not mine.my key comes out of the ignition while driving and continues to run.this also occurs while in park.this could cause airbags to not deploy in an accident as well as it has drained my electrical system on a number of occasions because if it is not fully disengaged i can still remove the key in acc mode and drive mode.also, i have to tug on the gear shift in order to get the key into the proper position to remove it properly.now'i cannot even turn my key, as the ignition is seizing.it takes me no less than 10 minutes to get it to click and turn on.i was advised my model is not in the recall though the same and same makes are.i really feel this is a huge issue. Please advise!this has been an issue since i have owned the vehicle and i was told it was a recall, but when i went to my appointment, they advised it is not part of the current recall.
The airbag light randomly comes on and stays on. This has been going on for several years. It does this whether the car is moving, stopped, in reverse or in park.
Air bab light always on passenger side; dealer told us it is not working when lit; cost to repair about 900 dollars to replace entire air bag assembly. Feel gm is responsible for faulty air bag; honda is finally owning up to their air bag issues.

The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, a grinding type noise was present coming from the front passenger side wheel and the front of the vehicle would vibrate. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed that the front passenger side wheel bearing was faulty. The bearing was replaced but the failure recurred. The contact indicated that while operating the vehicle, the front passenger side air bag sensor light would illuminate indicating that the system was turned off although a passenger was seated in the front passenger seat. The airbag light began coming on at random times and now remains on.i took it to my mechanic and was told that the entire passenger seat module had to be replaced at the cost of approx. $1,000.00.with this current malfunction, if i were to be involved in an accident with a passenger, the passenger's airbag would not deploy.this is a safety issue that should be covered/fixed by the manufacturer.

Ignition locked could turn key or pull out and/or start vehicle.has happened several times through the years.the most one i am concerned with is the airbag light is on & off, mostly stays on.this started sometime around august, 2014. My passenger seat air bag light started to come on periodically, whether someone was in the passenger seat or not. At times it would go off, but for the past 30 days it stays on whether someone is in the seat or not.about the same time, we detected a "short" in the radio system, as at times you cannot change the station, and i have actually had the station change without touching any selector.i am concerned that this has to do with the ignition switch issue that has been detected in other models of saturns, in particular.
The key would not turn while in the ignition or it was hard getting it out and the airbag light comes on from time to time.
I was driving in my subdivision and the curtain air bags went off in my 2007 saturn vue hybrid. I swerved and ran into a tree causing massive frontal damage and the driver-side air bag to deploy. My 3-year-old daughter was in the back passenger child car seat and was ok but i was diagnosed with chest, knee, hip, and nose contusions, still healing after 4+ days. The car was a total loss per allstate. I have no idea what caused the curtain air bags to go off but see on carcomplaints.com there are many airbag issues. Very mad and demand attention from gm since saturn is defunct.
I own a 2007 saturn vue which was purchased brand new in may 2007.the driver's side airbag light illuminates for weeks before it will turn off.i have taken it to the dealership and they can not find any problems so they say.right after i bring the vehicle home the problem begins again.the vehicle was under warranty but the warranty has since expired and i don't think i should be the one to pay for a repair when it is obviously a manufacture problem.i have been reading the same problem from quite a few owners.why does someone have to get seriously hurt or die for that matter before the manufacture will do something to prevent possible injury?the part probably doesn't cost that much for the manufacture to fix but they would rather risk getting sued for millions than fix a $$ problem.oh the shame!
I have less than 12,000 miles on this car and it has repeatedly been in the shop. The entire transmission has been replaced, all electrical suddenly dies, the hybrid has stopped working several times. The airbags have had to be fixed. There is a constant problem.
I bought a 2007 saturn vue from a dealeras well and my air bag on the passenger side comes on a lot to. It is on when no one is sitting in it but turns off when someone does sit in it. No matter the size or weigh of that person sometimes it will say it is on sometimes it will say it has been turned off. Not sure if there is really anything wrong with the airbag or it is just a light telling you there is. On-star says that airbags are fine though. Little concerned if there is something wrong with the airbags because that is one heck of a lawsuit they will have on there hands if we are to ever get in an accent and the airbags did not deploy. If it was indeed a manufacturing issue and it seems to be the case here, it should be fixed for free and fast for safety reasons.
Air bag light will be on, or flash periodically when already fastened.had an electrical fire in the left side of steering column 7/27/18. Cruise goes in and out. Dim/bright light comes on when using turn signal. Ignition switch locks up from time to time where key can't be removed and steering wheel locks up or you can remove key but switch is still engaged. Vehicle has been in motion when most incidents occurred and lockups occur depending on what position the steering wheel is in (adjustable). The electrical fire happened just as i exited the highway from a 30 minute trip after releasing the cruise control button. Luckily i was only 4 blocks from home. Cfd was called and they dismantled the column, extinguished the fire. I was blessed. This could have been worse!

The failure began when the wire used for the heated passenger's seat failed. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was told that the heat element wire fractured and caused the failure. The dealer advised that the failure was common with his particular model that had the optionally heated seat. The vehicle was repaired. There was an ongoing problem with the passenger air bag.when a passenger sits in the passenger seat, the passenger air bag light does not go on.it was brought into the dealer on 3 or 4 times and the problem was never fixed.we were told that the passenger was not heavy enough (125 pounds).finally this auto was brought in to the dealer on 5/28/14 and the problem was repaired.the total out of pocket cost to me was $751.00.i was upset with general motors for not resolving this problem under warranty and decided never again to purchase a general motors auto.this car was traded in on another brand of auto.

My air bag light has come on numerous times in the past year when my gas goes down below a half tank. Steering becomes a bit more stiff when the light is on. It does eventually go out. When i am in and out of the car several times throughout the day the light will all of a sudden come on. My brakes act strangely when the light is on. I have had my brakes done so i know they are okay. It worries me that the airbag just randomly comes on.
I bought this car in july 22, 2012 in city kia in orlando( used car) with 37,299 miles on this day.2007 saturn vue. In march 2013 i took a ride from kissimmee to miami and when i came back home andgot off the turnpike i heard a big sound under my car andit stared to slow down until it stopped completely in the middle of the street, i had it towed to a repair shop and they said it was the transmission,they fixed for $1,926. I also has some electrical problems, once in a while the radio goes randomly changing channels by itself and when i open or close the windows it sounds like it looses electricity, and also a leak from the air conditioner compressor is leaking a green fluid, also the airbag goes on sometimes but eventually turns off.
My 2007 saturn vue has given me problems with the key, ignition, steering wheel and air bag light.there have been numerous times where the key has gotten stuck in the ignition switch and won't turn or come out of the ignition, leaving me stranded in and out of town.there have also been many times that after entering the key in the ignition, the key will not turn to start the car.when i take the key out of the ignition, the warning signal goes off and i have to put the tip of the key in the ignition just enough to trigger a part of the switch to click into proper place.these things are not normal and are definitely defective.the airbag light will just come an at any given time.it worries me that they will not deploy when i need it or they deploy as i'm driving-a serious hazard.i don't understand why every other saturn has been recalled for defects other than the vue for these very same items.do they not all require the same parts of which we speak of?there are enough valid complaints here and to come to responsibly take care of the matter as soon as possible.
Air bag warning light comes on intermittently. Stays on for days at times ,sometimes only 15 _ 30 minutes. It happened several months ago ,then started happening again. Concerned that the air bags won't deploy.
Shortly after a complete dealer service i noticed that the airbag light was illuminated on the dash. I took the vehicle to the dealer and was told that a sensor was bad on the passenger seat. I was also told that there was possibility that the airbag might not deploy due to the light being illuminated. I told the dealer that this should be replaced under warranty they declined and told me that "things sometimes wear out" i contacted gm regional they declined to fix this under warranty. So i reluctantly paid for the repair totaling $968.52. I believe that this is wrong and a failure of a critical safety issue.
Driver's side air bag warning light has been going on and off for a few months (if on, it would stay on throughout the entire trip but wouldn't necessarily come on the next time the car is started). More recently, it has been coming on and staying during every trip. This is concerning because it is unclear whether this is a glitch in the electrical system (coming on and off would indicate that it is) or if the air bags aren't working properly.

I was driving on the interstate (i90) near rockford il when all of the sudden my side curtain air bags deployed.there was no accident and the front air bags did not deploy.the seat belts locked up and the lights started flashing.this issue has not been resolved through gm.my insurance company says they wont fix it because it was not in an accident.gm has not been helpful at all.gm had an independent investigator out.the investigator said it was obvious it was not in an accident.gm has been very vague in its response.only saying that they believe the air bag system is ok, "something must have made it go off".
While driving at 50 mph, the airbag light started flashing often on. Within a few miles the horn started blowing intermittently. The airbag light came on and the horn started blowing continuously.it required disconnecting the battery to make it all stop.the airbags and horn had to be disabled in order to drive the car.

The air bag warning light has been coming on and going off for years... I believe it started in 2010 i called the dealer and also contracted gm and no recalls were reported. I then check on it with nhtsa no recalls. It 1st. Started on right passengers side it would warn it was not on ever when someone was sitting in the seat and would come on and go off. Now the light is always on.i see that i am not the only one reporting on it. I do believe that the air bag or air bags will not come on if i have an accident. Not a safe feeling for my wife and i if we would be in a bad accident. Has anyone really looked into the many complaints? on
Intermittent drivers side air bag light.comes on for a while then will go off, could be days or could be hours.
I too had problems with the key ignition as well as the passenger air bag light coming on. The key was fixed when i bought the car. Now my issues is with the windows randomly not working and passenger air bag on. My car window on the passengers side did not work for a year. It would work occasionally (when i tested the button) now the passengers side work, but the drivers side dose not. I was told by saturn that they are unrelated issues. I can not understand that?my car is in the shop to have service done on it. The drivers side window needs to befixed. At the cost of $265.00 just the driver side, and they said that their is no problem with pass. Side... I can see that the windows are an issues with this type on saturn... And no one is addressing this issues. Their is definitely a problem with the air bag system as well as the window system. I love my car, but what i'm reading here seem to show me that the problems are real concerning my car. And the service center said that they not related? i have a big problem with that. For the past year i have been having a very difficult time inserting the key in the ignition and turning the key to turn on the car. Once i get the key in i have to jiggle it over and over until the key is able to turn. Sometimes it takes me anywhere from 5-15 minutes. However lately when the key is finally in it gets stuck and it does not allow the key to be released leaving me stranded. I also noticed the airbag sensor light turns on and off randomly while i am driving the car and while there is a passenger in the car. My biggest concern is if the airbag fails to deploy in case of an accident. Another concern of mine is that sometimes when i am driving the car it accelerates itself for a moment or two and it is very scary. I am currently unable to drive my car because i am scared, especially because i drive my 5 and 1 year old everyday. I am unable to get the car looked at this time due to financial reasons. My saturn vue is not included in the recall however i really wish it were because all of the problems i am experiencing are very similar to that of the gm vehicles that were recalled. Please investigate the saturn vue 2007 ignition problem, airbag light problem, and accelerating problem. Thank you so much.
The air bag light continues to turn on and off while driving.sometimes for weeks. I feel that this is unsafe and am worried the air bag could inflate or fail to inflate in an accident.
I was driving this evening on a city street when my side airbags deployed. My passenger amd driver airbags however did not. When my side airbags deployed it startled me and i hit a curb messing up my alignment. This was incredibly unexpected and could've been a lot worse.
Takata recall, same as other complaints i have read. The passenger side airbag can be deactivated when someone is actually sitting in the seat. The airbag light comes on the panel intermittently. This is all while driving, i can be driving for an hour and then the light comes on, or be driving for an hour with the light on and then the light goes off. Sometimes it comes on then goes right back off. There does not seem to be any consistency. Sometime someone is in the passenger seat when it does this and sometime the seat is empty.

The ignition will lock up and you have to move the steering wheel back and forth while you are turning the key trying to get to start. When driving down the road (usually in 4th gear) the gas peddle will stop working, you can put it all the way to the floor and get nothing. I usually can push the clutch in and make it work again.the passenger airbag will come on when no one is sitting in the seat.
Air bag light on dash illuminated if the heated seat is not toggled regularly from low to high. On permanently and does not recognize seat occupant if heated seat is left in the off position. Heated seat does not work even if in the low or high position.

The airbag light will just come on at any given time. It worries me that they might not deploy when i need it or they deploy as i'm driving-a serious hazard. 09/09/2014 onstar vehicle diagnostics advised me about a diagnostic alert requiring immediate attention and to call my dealership. I called the dealership and was told no recalls on this vehicle and they would do a diagnostics test to check out problem but would cost me over $100.00.i then called gm and was told pretty much the same but was given service request number and i would get a call with in 48 hours. I did get the return call and same response.i believe they should have tested for free to be sure this will not become a recalled item after drivers become critically hurt or killer due to bad parts!!!law requires seat belts and airbags for our safety and manufacturer should be investigating all safety equipment.
I was driving down the street and smoke began coming from around the steering wheel of my car.a symbol of a person holding a airbag appeared on the dashboard, i then felt that the airbag was going to deploy.i immediately pulled out of traffic into a auto zone.aworker seen the smoke, and felt my car was on fire.i explained to him that the smoke is coming from around the steering wheel.he said "get out of your car, it's dangerous! the airbag lights for both driver side and passenger side come on and off.my saturn is paid for, and i'm unemployed right now and can not afford to invest in a new vehicle.what can be done for the safety of the people who have trustedthe industry?
Heard what seemed to be road noise was told by dealer it was my tires after changing tires was told it was a front end bearing and was replaced by the dealer.two months later same noise, returned to dealer and was told the other side bearing was defective it was replaced.i still have what sounds like drive train noise but get no acknowledgement from dealer.air bag sensor on passenger side is defective, doors are aligned so poorly that daylight can be seen through the seal.this is a 2 year old vehicle and has been well maintained.i fear that i may be jeopardizing my family's safety by driving it.is there a lemon law or any options for me.
Passenger air bag sensor faulty.goes on when no pressure in the seat, seat belt light flashes, turns off randomly when passenger in vehicle.took to local saturn dealership, they could not "duplicate" problem so did nothing.taking back again this week to try for resolution.
I have two 2007 saturn vehicles, a vue and an ionthe air bag light comes on periodically.i took the vue to a dealer and they said the sensor was bad and wanted to charge about $500.00 to fix it.the ion has the same problem but i haven't taken it in to be checked.it looks to me like there is a problem with the 2007 saturns and should be fixed by gm.

The contact owns a 2007 saturn vue.after purchasing the vehicle in july of 2007, the contact had to take the vehicle back to get a new one three hours later.when he took the vehicle to the dealer for 5,000 mile servicing, the dealer discovered a recall, informed the contact, and made the repairs.within twenty days, the contact had to have three hybrid electrical wiring harnesses replaced, the entire vehicle was re-wired, and a new transmission was installed.all the instrument panel and air bag lights illuminated intermittently.the dealer stated that if the air bag light is illuminated, it is inoperable.on two separate occasions, the contact had to have the failures repaired again.the dealer stated that there was a new recall related to the emission, but they could not perform the repair.they recommended a shop (freemond auto) and they replaced the factory fitting for that make and model.while at a traffic light with the brake pedal depressed, the engine shut off and restarted.the vehicle rolled back while the brake pedal was still depressed.the contact is still experiencing wiring and transmission failure.the failure mileage was 4,800 and current mileage was 16,311.updated 4/7/08 updated 04/07/08

Hello, i am writing concerning issues with my brand new saturn green-line hybrid vue. I purchased it about 2 months ago, and there have been some frightening issues.this is a serious issue about the voluntary recall of the green-line hybrid vue- the fix does not work. It has put our family in harm's way. I received a voluntary recall notice to fix the electric harness wiring on my hybrid, to prevent problems. Well, i took it in today, and not less than 1 minute after i left the dealership the engine light came on (first time ever). Then about 8 minutes later, all hell broke loose in the car... All electronics failed- radio lights, dash lights, headlights, engine wouldn't change gears, lights were flashing on and off, speedometer didn't work, then they were all flickering, then the headlights went out, onstar died, radio died, power steering died! me and my family were in the car and almost died in a head on collision because i couldn't barely steer the car!! well, from taking my new car in to prevent a problem, to the saturn team almost killing us, i am far from happy. Please let whoever needs to know this, know immediately. If we had gotten on the highway as planned, we most likely wouldn't be talking because we would have lost control on the highway.
The key will fall out of ignition while driving, also the door locks will fleaker off and on and the reading lights do not go off., i am afraid to have anyone in my car especially my grandchildren, i will be driving and the locks will start acting crazy going up and down causing my grandson to be afraid, can i get some information on why this is happening, it first started with the keys not staying in the ignition, i thought this was odd especially while the car was on. I was driving in my subdivision and the curtain air bags went off in my 2007 saturn vue hybrid. I swerved and ran into a tree causing massive frontal damage and the driver-side air bag to deploy. My 3-year-old daughter was in the back passenger child car seat and was ok but i was diagnosed with chest, knee, hip, and nose contusions, still healing after 4+ days. The car was a total loss per allstate. I have no idea what caused the curtain air bags to go off but see on carcomplaints.com there are many airbag issues. Very mad and demand attention from gm since saturn is defunct.
Air bag light will be on, or flash periodically when already fastened.had an electrical fire in the left side of steering column 7/27/18. Cruise goes in and out. Dim/bright light comes on when using turn signal. Ignition switch locks up from time to time where key can't be removed and steering wheel locks up or you can remove key but switch is still engaged. Vehicle has been in motion when most incidents occurred and lockups occur depending on what position the steering wheel is in (adjustable). The electrical fire happened just as i exited the highway from a 30 minute trip after releasing the cruise control button. Luckily i was only 4 blocks from home. Cfd was called and they dismantled the column, extinguished the fire. I was blessed. This could have been worse!
(1) the ignition cylinder has been faulty since the vehicle was received at the dealership in april 2007.it was greased twice.since possessing the car (bought may 2007), i have had increasing trouble turning the key in the ignition.the dealership just urged me to grease it, but finally, july 2008, they replaced the faulty ignition cylinder.(2) the batteries in this greenline vue were leaking, twice, leading to a recall, and having them replaced.
First noticed my key would not fit into ignition and after many tries the alarm started beeping and i was then able to insert the key. This has happened several times since.the biggest worry has been that on one occasion i had turned off the engine, took the key out, stepped out of the vehicle ready to walk away and realized the engine was still running.the dash board lights periodically don't come on and the radio, although i can hear it, does not display the information.
Upon a cold start, when the vehicle has rolled about ten feet, forward or reverse, with no input on the accelerator, there is a whir from the engine compartment, akin to a stepper motor noise, and the vehicle accelerates on its own.in reverse, applying the brakes stops the car, and then selecting drive, the vehicle responds to the accelerator correctly.the same thing happens in forward, but in most cases the accelerator is engaged to move forward.the problem does not seem to occur when the car is warmed up and being driven under normal use.in reviewing the shop manuals, there is an electronic throttle control motor, which i assume is a stepper type motor, in the throttle body assembly.this is controlled by the throttle actuator control(tac) and the power control module(pcm).i assume that the motor is failing, buthave not experienced a reduced engine power mode or engine shutdown mode event.if this part is failing it should be covered by the emission warranty of 8 years/80,000 miles, but unfortunately the car is 9 years old.i will approach my dealer and saturn about possible coverage under warranty, but have had difficulty with them in the past.i feel this is a safety issue, as it can catch a driver unaware and create a possible accident scenario.
My air bag light has come on numerous times in the past year when my gas goes down below a half tank. Steering becomes a bit more stiff when the light is on. It does eventually go out. When i am in and out of the car several times throughout the day the light will all of a sudden come on. My brakes act strangely when the light is on. I have had my brakes done so i know they are okay. It worries me that the airbag just randomly comes on.
My saturn hybrid vue has had several "incidents" since it's purchase. The first was at around 800 miles.the vehicle stalled and could not be started for several minutes. All engine and traction control lights were on. When it finally started, it jerked severely and lunged forward several times. Had another vehicle or a pedestrian been in front of me they would have been hit.i had the car towed into saturn service. There were several problem codes in ecm. They said it was a chaffed wire that needed to insulated.at around 1,200 miles the jerking happened again.over the next couple of months there would be episodes of where the engine lights or traction control lights came on and it would stall but then it would drive fairly normal. I checked with onstar to do a diagnostic check and they said every thing seemed ok. I complained to the saturn dealer but the problem seemed to be persistent but intermittent.i began to fear driving the vehicle, especially with my grandchildren in it.all during this time the mileage was very low (especially for a hybrid).three month's since its first failure i took the saturn vue into service with all the engines lights on -- they found problems with starter generator, and the charging and autostop systems related to the 12 v and 36 volt batteries. They replaced the engine wiring harness. Now it is one month later and it is going back into service for lunging forward at a stop sign, and for answers about why i get such low mpg (22).
The dash board lights sometimes don't come on and the radio will be on because i can hear it but there is no display or lights, if i turn the car off and on a few times i can usually get them to work again.
Each time this occurred the vehicle was stationary/being parked, on 6-10 different occasions in the past 2 years, the key has gotten locked tight in the ignition switch.this caused the battery to run down and die on more than a few occasions. Once the key was frozen in place, after the engine was off, the key would not move in any direction and the steering was locked tight unable to move at all, the gear shift column was unable to be put in park.other times the key would just be stuck in the ignition switch and could not be removed, regardless of effort to remove it, also not allowing the vehicle to be place into the gear of park. This problem has cause us to abandon the vehicle more than once, this is dangerous & should be addressed. I see other recalls on other saturn models but not the vue 2007, which does have a defect in this area and needs to be recalled. For the record the car key and the remote are the only things on my key chain, so the weight of the key chain is not the problem. This happened twice in the last 3 weeks.
Driving on interstate, check engine light came on, shortly thereafter all dash lights came on and car shut off on its own.coasted to side of road, thankfully no accident.took to dealer, diagnostic test ran, 5 codes came up, repaired only one according to paperwork.next time drove vehicle happened again.
Our key started sticking in the ignition and we would be stranded until we could finally get the key to turn. Once the key is turned and car is running, key will fall out of the ignition and onto the floor while driving!! now the ignition does not turn all the way off and must be shut off and the key removed at the accessories position, which leaves lights on and radio, and doors beeping. It is extremely stressful to have the key fall out of the ignition while driving, but to also not be able to completely shut our car off.
2007 saturn vue green line (hybrid) regarding new (8/24/2007) campaign #07195.saturn of tempe service advisor jered schager described to me a local incident, likely related to this campaign, where the vehicle quit running suddenly during a merge onto a freeway, which almost resulted in an 18-wheeler crashing into the vehicle. There was no crash, but the vehicle had to be towed from the freeway. This was not my vehicle.this was related to me while my vehicle was being repaired for this campaign. My symptom of the problem was a "check engine soon" light.i was led to believe that if i had not taken care of this problem soon, then i probably would have been stranded somewhere (hopefully not in the middle of the desert in 130 degree sunshine), or worse yet in an accident. The fix to my vehicle was to reroute some jumper wiring and reprogram the ecm & tcm.
I purchased this vehicle new and within a year my key would get stuck in the ignition to the point where i could not turn the key at all to either turn on or off the vehicle or to get the key out of the ignition.the first time it happened, i believe i had my own mechanic fix it.then the next times it started happening, it would happen intermittently.i was working with individuals who are disabled and taking them out into the community using my own car. On an extremely hot day(in the 90s) my key got stuck in the ignition (all i did was put the key in normally to start the car) and the individual i had in the car refused to get out of the car (which posed a serious safety hazard to that individual because inside the car at that point i am sure was over 100 degrees). I finally convinced the individual to get out of the car after about a half hour. After i called a tow truck to tow my car i called gm to file a complaint because this is not a normal issue.gm fixed the issue and told me it was my key (which i had another key made to hope to solve this issue)a good description of the issue is i would be: i put the key in normally, it would partially turn, and then stop and i cannot move the key at all, even to get the key out of the ignition.the owners manual states to turn the wheel all the way to the right or left to "unlock" the ignition.this would not do anything at all.sometimes if i let the car sit for a while and go back to it, it would just work. Other times, it didn't matter how many times i tried to get it to work, it would not.even the tow truck drivers could not get it to work.also, my air bag light comes on intermittently.i have never had the air bag light issue looked at, but with the reports on the news i thought could be an issue too.
2007 saturn vuethe passenger side air bag light went on and i was told that it has to do with the heated seat malfunctioning.they say that the air bag won't work if the seat doesn't work ...... They say it will cost about $900 to fix.......this week, we found out that the ignition cylinder needs to be replaced because the car is not registering the keys, and it is not allowing the car to be started.in addition, the check engine light is now on and the engine is "running lean"i feel that the air bag problem and the ignition problem should be under recalls for sure
Air bag indicator comes on and off intermittently.when read by a reader during an inspection system did not post a error about air bag issue. Air bag indicator light was on and intermittently comes on and goes off.

The contact had previously received an unknown manufacturer's recall for the hybrid battery and the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer. I was driving north on road that was having some road repair on a rough section i lost all power no steering hard brakes . I have had this prob several times since, thank you
While merging onto a highway i lost all power. No engine, lights, etc. Almost got run over. Opened hood and replaced the 30 amp ignition fuse and car started. Took to gm dealer and they could not find a problem and original fuse was not blown either. Also hard to turn the ignition key at times. Is this a recall? if not it should be as this was a serious mishap where we could havebeen killed! the car has 54k miles and this was on 12-21-2015 and i took it to the dealer on 12-22-2015.
2007 vue hybrid. Numerous electrical problem related to the hybrid system within first month of ownership. Recently received "voluntary recall notice for hybrid battery. Battery "back-ordered" for over 6 weeks. Was told it was entirely safe to drive and it just wouldn't perform as efficiently. Car parked in garage and would not start. Returned from out of town trip and car started. Had to replace at our expense the 12 volt battery. The hybrid battery probably caused the failure of the 12 volt battery but gm doesn't acknowledge that in the recall. Gm should be mandated to pay for failed 12 volt batteries caused by the failure of the hybrid battery.
Vehicle had electrical problems prior to purchase.purchased 5/26/07 - 7/7/07 in shop electrical system failure.chk. Engine light comes on, gauges erratic, power steering fails, mileage 3,043.problems persist, eventually entire main wiring harness replaced (removed seats, dash, etc. From interior).more problems each time, gauges still erratic, low power light and check engine light still come on.very dangerous situation, if power lost at high speed could cause accident.

I too had problems with the key ignition as well as the passenger air bag light coming on. The key was fixed when i bought the car. Now my issues is with the windows randomly not working and passenger air bag on. My car window on the passengers side did not work for a year. It would work occasionally (when i tested the button) now the passengers side work, but the drivers side dose not. I was told by saturn that they are unrelated issues. I can not understand that?my car is in the shop to have service done on it. The drivers side window needs to befixed. At the cost of $265.00 just the driver side, and they said that their is no problem with pass. Side... I can see that the windows are an issues with this type on saturn... And no one is addressing this issues. Their is definitely a problem with the air bag system as well as the window system. I love my car, but what i'm reading here seem to show me that the problems are real concerning my car. And the service center said that they not related? i have a big problem with that. You can take the key out of the ignition while vehicle is in the run position. It's very easy to remove the key while in this position.
When turning the car on;, the exterior and interior lights flicker,the radio turns off and on, the lights on the dashboard that show mileage flicker, power steering is off, windows do not go up or down and locks do not unlock.takes 10-15 mins for car to stop flickering and power to be restored to car, before then you cannot drive it.abs light and check engine go on and off intermittently .car battery has died 3 times. I have been late for appointments, late for picking my children up and getting them from school, due to waiting for the car to stop flickering and malfunctioning.this has been ongoing daily, and it was not able to be fixed yet.i do not have a picture, but i will take pic/video if you need one

Driving on the road and freeway, the dashboard lights and radio go out and i loose power steering, this is an ongoing and sporadic problem.took it to the dealer and they could not replicate the problem. They recommended to replace the both battery cables, i replace them but continue to have the problem, i believe it is an ignition switch problem, but there is no recall on my vin number
For the past year i have been having a very difficult time inserting the key in the ignition and turning the key to turn on the car. Once i get the key in i have to jiggle it over and over until the key is able to turn. Sometimes it takes me anywhere from 5-15 minutes. However lately when the key is finally in it gets stuck and it does not allow the key to be released leaving me stranded. I also noticed the airbag sensor light turns on and off randomly while i am driving the car and while there is a passenger in the car. My biggest concern is if the airbag fails to deploy in case of an accident. Another concern of mine is that sometimes when i am driving the car it accelerates itself for a moment or two and it is very scary. I am currently unable to drive my car because i am scared, especially because i drive my 5 and 1 year old everyday. I am unable to get the car looked at this time due to financial reasons. My saturn vue is not included in the recall however i really wish it were because all of the problems i am experiencing are very similar to that of the gm vehicles that were recalled. Please investigate the saturn vue 2007 ignition problem, airbag light problem, and accelerating problem. Thank you so much.

The key has had many instances of trouble inserting or removing from the ignition. The key can also be removed while in any of the positions. At times the key also has trouble turning between the different positions.seems to be the same issue that many similar model year saturn vehicles are having. I venture the problem is impacting more vehicles than gm is willing to admit. The longer it can push of the repair the less costly it is to the company.
My passenger seat air bag light started to come on periodically, whether someone was in the passenger seat or not. At times it would go off, but for the past 30 days it stays on whether someone is in the seat or not.about the same time, we detected a "short" in the radio system, as at times you cannot change the station, and i have actually had the station change without touching any selector.i am concerned that this has to do with the ignition switch issue that has been detected in other models of saturns, in particular.
For a couple of days now my radio will change channels on its on.the dial will display crazy characters and i will have to put it back on the original channel just to have it go back to the channel of its on choice.for years now i have had wind noise on the driver side and the passenger bag light has come on at different times and i had to stop my car sit in the seat to reset it.i initially thought it was just my vehicle but after looking here i see its not just me.i have had to have my windshield wiper system totally replaced and my ignition worked on at the dealership already one time and it is now acting up again.my husband choose this car for safety reasons and gas mileage and i have loved it for mileage and being able to pack a lot of luggage.he hates to travel in it due to the wind noise.we had the dealership check it out and nothing could be found.i am hoping that a recall will help us get something done with the wind noise and electrical problems.please help before it causes a fire or something.i do have achild.
I have had my saturn vue for just over 2 years. Last winter i noticed that sometimes i have a hard time turning the key in the ignition. It has been going on now for about 10 months or so. It was so bad today that it took me a half hour just to get the key turned so the car would start! i know i am not the only one with this problem and feel like this should be fixed for everyone! this is a cost we cannot afford. We purchased thisvehicle thinking that we were going to have good luck with it as expected when you purchase a vehicle. I have three kids, am in school full time right along with them and do not have the time to try and start my car for a half hour. We live in the upper midwest and our winters get downright brutal, there is no way to sit there for a half hour without heat. I firmly believe that this particular item needs to be recalled. No, there may not be any deaths yet,but there darn well could be with that kind of failure.

Ignition key fell out of ignition while vehicle was in motion.it has happened several times since over the years.it can easily be removed from the ignition even when in the park position.key can come out of ignition no matter if the key is new, a copy, or showing any wear.i have never kept anything other than one house key and the manufacturer's fab attached since i first took ownership of this vehicle.
My driver side window doesn't go down unless i slam the door.the air bag light on the passenger side goes on when no one is in the passenger seat.sometimes the traction control light will stay on.the check engine light goes on and off at strange times.the oil change light keeps going on when the oil has just been changed.
When i was driving i accidentally pulled my key from the ignition but the car was still running and i was still driving...i was able to put the key back in the ignition. When i finally came to a stop and put the car in park...i wanted to make sure this was a one off so i tried to pull the key from the ignition while the car was running and it came right out.
This car has given me nothing but problems the last year or so with the ignition switch.. I can't turn my car on for about 10 minutes. When the car starts the steering locks up and makes the car difficult to drive.the brakes also grind and the transmission makes noises.the electrical components malfunction and lights and sounds flicker on and off.all of these things have been looked into by a mechanic and they cannot find a solution as to why the electric malfunctioning and steering is locking up.
I have to turn the wheel back and forth several times and step on the gas a little to unlock the wheel and start the car.it's been doing this regularly since winter.i don't have any big key rings, etc., so that shouldn't be why it's doing that.also, the airbag light comes on the passenger side when no one is sitting there.in addition, a few times my car has stalled out in traffic.there is something going on with this model year saturn vue especially since i've read many complaints of an identical nature.please recall this year as well and get these problems fixed.
Key sticking in ignition switch, had replaced in 2011 & it started to happen again about 1 year ago, key would not turn so had mechanic look at it and they put lube in it, worked for a while and started doing it again, getting worse everyday, really hard to start, gm recalled a bunch of saturns for ignition switch just not 2007 saturn vue, it has same switch that was recalled so they should replace it but they will not unless i pay for it, not too fare of gm to leave these cars out of recalls, so now i'm stuck. There is all kinds of complaints for key sticking & not starting car for this 2007 vue, prettymuch all vue's from 2002-2007 as they are the same part, gm needs to do something about this !!!!!!!!, i bought car brand new in 2007 & still own it but i'm stuck cause gm will not fix it even though it the same switch that was recalled on other gm's (2002-04 vues recalled so why not this one) again same recalled part in my car.
I own a 07 saturn vue. I purchased it after seeing a friend with one and i loved it. I also have a friend in kansas with one. After replacing the alternator and the battery, next day i will still need a jump. If i go into the store, i will need a jump. My friend here, hers does it as well, and so did my friend in kansas. Took it to a gm dealer, they guaranteed all parts,,, after spending countless funds and times, i am still having the issue,,, a day after replacing everything brand new again. I've been star fed in the rain, snow, and all hours of the night with my kids due to this issue. My friend in kansas had the original factory alternator rebuilt,,, and hasn't had a issue since(2yrs), after dealing with it for 4 months. I'm out of funds and patience so now the car is just sitting. My friend here,,, after hundreds of dollars, finally sold hers to a scrap yard. I searched online(mystery behind dying battery in a 07 saturn vue) and to my amazement,,, there are hundreds of people with the exact same issue. Every time the battery dies, it affects something else as well. My radio has not come back on since, i replaced the radio,,, within a week that radio would not power on as well. The lights will flicker, and sometimes you can't even tell car is actually on because nothing in the car will power on,,, seems to mostly do it in cool weather. No matter where i went or how soon after replacing everything,,, the battery would die,,, i'm assuming it's something with the alternator at this point. My friend rebuilt his and hasn't had issues in 2yrs, i've replaced mine 3 times in the past month and i'm still having these issues. Please search it,,, i am not alone,,, there are others experiencing this and are blogging online about it.
Our new 2007 saturn vue green line hybrid suv had a check engine and battery light at 2334 mileage.we luckily were in town and parked the car in our driveway, which was then toed to the dealership for repair.this could have resulted in failure of the vehicle in traffic or on an interstate with catastrophic consequences.saturn had a tech doc#1978388 and tsb#07-06-03-004 as noted on our service receipt.it is very disturbing that they knew the problem existed with these vehicles and did not perform a engine harness jumper replacement and reprogram before the new vehicle was sold.i would refer the nhtsato the edmund townhall forum at the web address below which has similar complaints, which also list incidences of the saturn vue green line stopping in traffic due to the same problem. Ignition locked could turn key or pull out and/or start vehicle.has happened several times through the years.the most one i am concerned with is the airbag light is on & off, mostly stays on.this started sometime around august, 2014. My 2007 saturn vue has given me problems with the key, ignition, steering wheel and air bag light.there have been numerous times where the key has gotten stuck in the ignition switch and won't turn or come out of the ignition, leaving me stranded in and out of town.there have also been many times that after entering the key in the ignition, the key will not turn to start the car.when i take the key out of the ignition, the warning signal goes off and i have to put the tip of the key in the ignition just enough to trigger a part of the switch to click into proper place.these things are not normal and are definitely defective.the airbag light will just come an at any given time.it worries me that they will not deploy when i need it or they deploy as i'm driving-a serious hazard.i don't understand why every other saturn has been recalled for defects other than the vue for these very same items.do they not all require the same parts of which we speak of?there are enough valid complaints here and to come to responsibly take care of the matter as soon as possible.

I purchased a saturn vue hybrid almost a year ago and i have sustained approximately 12 occurrences of the vehicle just completely going dead. I have taken the vehicle to the dealer 4 times in 8 months.2 of which were directed at the behest of recall issues related to the battery and battery harness. Both the battery and battery harnesses were replaced yet the problem still occurs. Today, i retrieved my vehicle from the dealer who just replaced the battery harness and the vehicle died two miles after picking it up when they informed me that no power appeared to be draining the battery.while i received quality care, the items were warranted and i received courteous service. The car still remains completely unreliable.
Key every now and would get stuck in the ignition cylinder. Finally it just didnt come out. No money to buy new key...had to recover key and in attempting to do so the igntion cylinder was greatly damaged. Now car starts but immediately shuts off while security light steady flashes. Its my only form of transportation...it was cause now its just sitting there needing a whole ignition cylinder and switch maybe .
I bought this car in july 22, 2012 in city kia in orlando( used car) with 37,299 miles on this day.2007 saturn vue. In march 2013 i took a ride from kissimmee to miami and when i came back home andgot off the turnpike i heard a big sound under my car andit stared to slow down until it stopped completely in the middle of the street, i had it towed to a repair shop and they said it was the transmission,they fixed for $1,926. I also has some electrical problems, once in a while the radio goes randomly changing channels by itself and when i open or close the windows it sounds like it looses electricity, and also a leak from the air conditioner compressor is leaking a green fluid, also the airbag goes on sometimes but eventually turns off.

After the warranty expired, my saturn vue experienced failure of the ignition lock system which cost me a fee of $141.12 to have it replaced at the a-abra-cadabra lock service in akron, ohio. The problem was when i inserted the ignition key, sometimes the motor would start, and sometimes it wouldn't. Oftentimes, i had to shake the steering wheel to get the ignition to work. Also, sometimes the ignition key was difficult to get in and out of its slot. Because of these ignition switch problems, i feared an accident. According to the owner of the lock service shop, at that time his installation at 09/27/10, the replacement mechanism would eventually give me the same problems, and fail once again. He said it was the only ignition switch available for this vehicle, and only one manufacturer supplier produced the part. He said all of them were defective.gm should immediately recall and replace this part for the saturn vue before someone is hurt in the ignition failure. This same ignition switch has already been recalled and replaced in the saturn ion and other gm vehicles. Why not the saturn vue?
My steering is hard to turn when i start my car, then after messing with the lock and unlock button the steering wheel releases. The lights on my dash start flashing it goes on and off. The fuses are fine it's something else. There's no place to put power steering fluid? help.

Key can be removed from the ignition when the ignition is not in the off position and while driving the car. When i was driving the key fell from the ignition and the car was still running...i was able to put the key back in the ignition. I needed to use my car to do routine chores, the key would not turn. I called the dealer that i got the car from and was told they would need to tow the car in, put it on a machine and replace the ignition switch at my expense. Severe problem with hybrid / electrical system impairing safety, use and value of the vehicle.began with engine shutting down and restarting itself - lurching forward when it does - despite pressure on the brake.at a later date noticed a strong odor consistent with an electrical fire inside the vehicle cabin. On another occasion the engine shut down losing all power and vehicle functionality - including power steering and other vehicle systems.the vehicle would not restart.on the most recent occurrence the vehicle shut down, restarted itself and the check engine light and battery light came on yet again.the vehicle then proceeded to shutdown again three more times while enroute to the dealership for the attempted repair under warranty.since february 2010, the hybrid batteries have been replaced twice and the ecm reprogrammed three times, the starter generator / alternator has been replaced and the starter generator control module relay has been replaced.the problem with the hybrid / electrical system still has not been isolated or resolved - despite an eight year, 100,000 mile warranty from the manufacturer and now assumed by general motors.at this point the vehicle has been taken to the saturn and gm dealers for service on the hybrid / electrical system a total of 6 times in the past 10 months.the vehicle has been out of service now for the last 26 days and is still at the dealership trying to be repaired.

My vue has mysteriously started emitting a strong scent of fuel before i could get it into a day alert to diagnose and service it i was on the road when a fire started in the rear of my vehicle filling it with smoke. I pulled over and my boyfriend extinguished the flames but my brake light and dash light and instrumentation had been damage from electrical harnesses frying . Also needed to replace fuel pump return system and float as they were the initial cracked cause. Very scary thank god and jesus my baby girls weren't in the car or that worse had happened.

I have a 2007 saturn vue green line. Over the last few days the vehicle will stall on starting after stopping or coming to a near stop (braking and then accelerating). The engine stalls for several seconds, the battery light comes on and then the vehicle will restart. This has happened 3 times and then the check engine light came on. I took the vehicle to the dealer. Codes were reset and i was told that my gps unit which is plugged into the interior outlet may be a cause. After leaving the dealership, the same thing happened without the gps being plugged in. The stalling has happened several time since then and the check engine light is back on. The dealer does not seem to know what to do to correct.

We were passing a truck, then the throttle stuck and the vehicle would not slow down , we finally got it in neutraland pulled over. This was very scary. And now my electrical is all messed up. I am scared to drive it. I don"t have the money to get it repaired. I now have to take the bus or bum a ride. I paid $6500 for this car.. Any chance i can get help from gm. I really like the car. The key can come out when the car is running. This is the same problem they have a recall on for 2002-2004 saturn veus. This has been happening since 2015 when i bought the car. Also i have reported in the past that the ignition turns off while driving which can be fatal in traffic. I have had my ignition switch hard wired to a switch on the dash.
My 2007 saturn vueall the time since i purchased it the passenger side deployment bag light will not work, unless i turn on the passenger heat , and the seat does not heat up, and i am still not sure it will work because it is an electrical problem, also my electric windows won't work on several occasions, and the ignition shift the key sticks and steering column locks when this happens, and it won't release the key. Dealer won't deal with it, wonder if there has been any other complaints because i do not feel safe especially when i have passengers, it cannot be trusted, not sure of any recalls, but it definitely needs to be looked into and fixed before anyone could get hurt.

My key would not come out of ignition, had to drill out ignition cylinderand replace housing also. Had to get a mechanic to key the cylinder and now the lights, a/c, and radio do not work after engine starts until it runs for about 8 minutes. Then everything works, butthe check engine light stays on, the engine runs good, until it sits parked overnight and have to do it again the next day. Also had to replace the alternator. Still doing the same. Had it parked for abot two months and just start it and run the engine to preseve the battery. Use other vehicle instead.
Brought my 2007 saturn vue to repair a powerful gasoline smell around the rear of car, near gas cap.said it would cost $332 to lift out fuel tank to see where the problem was.4 hours later, mechanic said the tank wasdrenched with gasoline because the lines to the fuel pumpwere crimped and cracked so there was gasoline leaking out.(wonder why i was refueling so often?)i need a new fuel pump costs $600.i'll be sure to use my 10% off coupon.the worst part was no engine light ever came on to warn me!!!!also within the last 10 months, i have had the battery replaced, 2 new lift gates, brakes and new tires.i have always been good about oil changes/maintenance but i guess new cars are only supposed to last 10 years.bummer!

I have a 2007 saturn vue greenline and have had the hybrid battery replaced after having the car shut off and restart and losing all hybrid function.i then found out that all battery cells were leaking in my car.now the car is in the shop due to 3 incidents of sudden acceleration in one day. First time i was parking and the car lunged forward while foot was on brake, second time at a stop light and third time stopping at train tracks and that was very dangerous.i then parked my car and had it towed because of the safety concerns.the dealership says they can not duplicate the problem and tried to return the vehicle with no repairs done.i refused and they still have possession of the vehicle.i have owned it one year and the mileage is approximately 17,000.the first issue was fixed 3 weeks before the second issue started.
I have less than 12,000 miles on this car and it has repeatedly been in the shop. The entire transmission has been replaced, all electrical suddenly dies, the hybrid has stopped working several times. The airbags have had to be fixed. There is a constant problem.

Electrical system is totally disabled.after 3 trips to the dealer service department, the "check battery" light continues to come on.

When putting the key in the ignition, the key is getting stuck and will not turn to start the car. I have to wiggle the key multiple times until finally it makes an audible clickand i am able to start the car. This does not happen every time i attempt to start the car but three quarters of the time i deal with this problem. Some times it only takes a few turns, other times i repeatedly remove the key and place it back in the ignition until it is able to rotate and start the car.

Purchased new 05/29/07. In shop numerous times for faulty ignition switch that kept sticking. Wouldn't replace but kept 'greasing.' finally after in shop three times previously they replaced ignition. Starting to stick again less than a year later. Soon after, during a stop at light, or stop sign, engine would turn off completely and restart itself. Dealer said the rear battery was leaking acid and everything corroded. Took them days to get replacement and didn't offer me another vehicle to use in meantime!! that was an accident waiting to happen! finally had new rear battery installed. Now i'm just waiting for another problem.

Consumer was still not happy with the way the vehicle ran.the consumer stated the radio was replaced for the third time, and there was even more wind noise from the driver side door with the new rubber seal. My 6 day old saturn vue - hybrid had 242 miles on it when the low battery light went on.the check engine lights went on, then the abs, traction control, and passenger air bag light illuminated. I was able to get to the dealers, coasted in to their shop. Thenew car sat there for 12 days before i was able to drive it. The starter/ generator control module had to be replaced. It had to come from an outside supplier, who claimed to have shipped it, but had no tracking number, and supposedly it could not be found. It finally arrived after thecar was in the shop for 12 days and was installed.

Driving along at highway speeds had to avoid hitting a vehicle after being cut off. This resulted in using greater than usual brake forceat that moment, heard pop noise which came from rear of vehicle then vehicle veered to right at the same instant steering wheel started to move clockwise and counter clockwise rapidly.had to bring vehicle under 35 mph to get steering under control (almost lost control into cement barrier)when trying to accelerate back to speed limit vehicle vibrated violently for almost 2 miles until i was able to get off highway. When braking on off ramp vehicle veered to right ! later that day had vehicle checked and tech found rear subframe bolt had lost its head (literally) appeared to be badly rusted below depth of subframe..bolt was replaced and alignment checked,two days later left front wheel locks when coming to stop or when brakes are pumped 2-3 applications. Had front pads and rotors replaced brakes flushed.,rear brakes checked and serviced. No indication of sticking calipers or flex hose issues. .vehicle has also experienced un explained wide open throttle when acceleratorpedal is depressed morethan 50 percent. Nearly rear ended another vehicle when wot occurred. These issues along with ignition switch problem have drained my pocketbook. Never have i encountered this many serious safety issues with any of my previous vehicles which i owned. .
Cruise control excellent on it's own and if on goes off by it's self
When turning the car on;, the exterior and interior lights flicker,the radio turns off and on, the lights on the dashboard that show mileage flicker, power steering is off, windows do not go up or down and locks do not unlock.takes 10-15 mins for car to stop flickering and power to be restored to car, before then you cannot drive it.abs light and check engine go on and off intermittently .car battery has died 3 times. I have been late for appointments, late for picking my children up and getting them from school, due to waiting for the car to stop flickering and malfunctioning.this has been ongoing daily, and it was not able to be fixed yet.i do not have a picture, but i will take pic/video if you need one
My vue has mysteriously started emitting a strong scent of fuel before i could get it into a day alert to diagnose and service it i was on the road when a fire started in the rear of my vehicle filling it with smoke. I pulled over and my boyfriend extinguished the flames but my brake light and dash light and instrumentation had been damage from electrical harnesses frying . Also needed to replace fuel pump return system and float as they were the initial cracked cause. Very scary thank god and jesus my baby girls weren't in the car or that worse had happened.
While pulling out of a parking space, the timing chain tension slipped and broke. This caused broken rocker arms and internal engine damage. The result is toreplace the entire engine! at a cost of $5,000this leaves me in a dilemma, should i junk the car (which i bought 1 1/2 years ago for $7,500) and put the $5,000 toward a new used car. I noticed there was a recall for this exact failure for saturn vue, but not for my model year.
My ignition cylinder needs replaced. My keys are coming out of the ignition with the car still on, does not matter whether in park or not, my key will slide out. I bought this 2007 saturn vue v6 awd in july 2012 from brighton ford, brighton minoticed a slight vibration when test driving. Less than a week after i buy it the ac goes out, and the shuttering gets worse.take it back to them to look at and get referred to a tire shop.was told the ac coil hada huge leak, and was probably "topped off" at by the dealer and that there was some tire wear issues.brighton ford refused to fix anything.drive it for about a year the shuttering gets worse and worse take it in to bud kouts chevrolet, lansing, mi for a check engine lightthat came on, it was because of a miss fire in two of the cylinders.told them about the shuttering, was told nothing was wrong.28 days later i have a tire explode, told there was nothing wrong.take it back after finding a huge hole in the shock absorber casing.this time speaking with the dealership owner directly, after two days they finally found the cause of the shuttering,a bad torque converter.they admitted that this is an issue on the these vehicles, but still want about $2000 to fix it.if there is not a recall on this there should be.i will never by a gm made vehicle again.i've owned three now and have had nothing but problems with them.the subaru i owned had well over 200,000 miles and no issues the same goes for a mazda i owned.

The ignition will lock up and you have to move the steering wheel back and forth while you are turning the key trying to get to start. When driving down the road (usually in 4th gear) the gas peddle will stop working, you can put it all the way to the floor and get nothing. I usually can push the clutch in and make it work again.the passenger airbag will come on when no one is sitting in the seat.
Key can be removed from the ignition when the ignition is not in the off position and while driving the car. When i was driving the key fell from the ignition and the car was still running...i was able to put the key back in the ignition. This has happened on several occasions and i can pull the key from the ignition while the car is running.

My key would not come out of ignition, had to drill out ignition cylinderand replace housing also. Had to get a mechanic to key the cylinder and now the lights, a/c, and radio do not work after engine starts until it runs for about 8 minutes. Then everything works, butthe check engine light stays on, the engine runs good, until it sits parked overnight and have to do it again the next day. Also had to replace the alternator. Still doing the same. Had it parked for abot two months and just start it and run the engine to preseve the battery. Use other vehicle instead.

In march 2013 i took a ride from kissimmee to miami and when i came back home andgot off the turnpike i heard a big sound under my car andit stared to slow down until it stopped completely in the middle of the street, i had it towed to a repair shop and they said it was the transmission,they fixed for $1,926. I also has some electrical problems, once in a while the radio goes randomly changing channels by itself and when i open or close the windows it sounds like it looses electricity, and also a leak from the air conditioner compressor is leaking a green fluid, also the airbag goes on sometimes but eventually turns off.

Upon a cold start, when the vehicle has rolled about ten feet, forward or reverse, with no input on the accelerator, there is a whir from the engine compartment, akin to a stepper motor noise, and the vehicle accelerates on its own.in reverse, applying the brakes stops the car, and then selecting drive, the vehicle responds to the accelerator correctly.the same thing happens in forward, but in most cases the accelerator is engaged to move forward.the problem does not seem to occur when the car is warmed up and being driven under normal use.in reviewing the shop manuals, there is an electronic throttle control motor, which i assume is a stepper type motor, in the throttle body assembly.this is controlled by the throttle actuator control(tac) and the power control module(pcm).i assume that the motor is failing, buthave not experienced a reduced engine power mode or engine shutdown mode event.if this part is failing it should be covered by the emission warranty of 8 years/80,000 miles, but unfortunately the car is 9 years old.i will approach my dealer and saturn about possible coverage under warranty, but have had difficulty with them in the past.i feel this is a safety issue, as it can catch a driver unaware and create a possible accident scenario.

While merging onto a highway i lost all power. No engine, lights, etc. Almost got run over. Opened hood and replaced the 30 amp ignition fuse and car started. Took to gm dealer and they could not find a problem and original fuse was not blown either. Also hard to turn the ignition key at times. Is this a recall? if not it should be as this was a serious mishap where we could havebeen killed! the car has 54k miles and this was on 12-21-2015 and i took it to the dealer on 12-22-2015.
Ignition key fell out of ignition while vehicle was in motion.it has happened several times since over the years.it can easily be removed from the ignition even when in the park position.key can come out of ignition no matter if the key is new, a copy, or showing any wear.i have never kept anything other than one house key and the manufacturer's fab attached since i first took ownership of this vehicle.
My truck only had 60,000 miles on it. While driving home i began to noticed some smoke coming from the hood of the truck. Being only a block away from the house i proceeded to the stop sign. I was going to park and check it out thinking that it was something minor. Just as i was about to turn the corner the unthinkable happened. While at the stop sign the smoke quickly ignited into flames under the hood of the truck. I quickly pulled over in front of my house. Turned off truck, jumped out and ran to the side yard for the hose. I yelled out for my wife call the fire department. She called immediately and i tried to control the fire until the police and fire truck arrived. I was afraid that it would explode and damage other cars around it. The fire spread under the hood of the truck, under the car and quickly into the interior though the dashboard. There was no warning of a problem with the vehicle. My wife is pregnant and we had just driven to her doctors appointment earlier that day in the truck and it drove well. There was no indicator light on to warn me of any problem with the engine, fuel or any other vehicle hazards. The car has not been in any accidents and has been maintained well. I did not receive any mail or email notification about recalls that disclosed a problem with this vehicle. The next day i retraced my path home and saw a trail of fluid in the street that lead to the spot that the car finally ended up in. So some kind of leak and engine failure took place that caused this awful fire.i am just so glad that i made it out alive and that it didn't happen to her while she was driving because she usually drives this vehicle. I need to know what recourse i have now to deal with this matter.
I went outside on a cold morning and attempted to crank my 2007 saturn vue.the engine would not start.i had it towed into a shop and was told that the timing chain snapped which caused engine failure.i took it to another shop for a second opinion and they said the same thing and that it would cost over $5,000 to repair it. I've done research since then and apparently gm has had this issue with saturn vues before.timing chains are not designed to wear out, particularly not at under 100k miles.my vehicle was well maintained. I had no prior indication that anything was wrong, no check engine light or anything.it i had been driving when it snapped it could have been extremely dangerous or fatal.this is a safety issue and gm should take measures to prevent this from happening.there have been recalls issued on saturn vues with similar issues in the past, but clearly the recalls need to be expanded to include the 2007 model year and any other years affected.thank you.
The air bag light comes and goes . Then when driving down the freeway the car just up and died. Had to restart it.i have also had it not pick up speed when i push the peddle .after rams drop then i can pick up speed this is something i have had going on for a while. No one can find out why.

Started hearing a noise that i assumed was a rock in my brakes.it turned into a chirping noise for a couple days, which then turned into an awful squealing noise when i started it. I called saturn for an appointment and had to wait 2 days to get in. They told me the bearings were going out on my air conditioner compressor and they would have to order the part. Now it seems there is no part available and they will have to make one special for my car - which means i'm in a rental car for a minimum of 3 weeks - or so they think. My last saturn was in the shop for 32 days less than a year ago.
I don't know if this could really be considered as a complaint,i was just concerned about it and wanted to let someone know about it or see if it needed to be investigated.i have a 2007 saturn vue awd v-6,and had washed off the engine of grime and then drove it about 30 minutes later,normally when i've used the a/c before i always had cold air blowing out of the vents,for some unknown reason after i had washed off the engine and turned on the a/c i had no cold air to come out of the vents,but when i adjusted the knob for the defroster to work,i had cold air,but if i switched the knob back to the vents,there would be no cold air,so i just put up with it that day. After i got home,i let the car just sit in the carport for about 4 day's before i drove it again,and out of curiosity i turned the a/c on,it was on the vent setting,and the air that was being blown was cold again,the only thing i can figure is,that when i washed the engine off i got some kind of switch wet,and with the car just sitting for several day's and the sun's heat dried out that switch,letting the cold air vent to blow out cold air again.it wasn't a big problem,but it sure was uncomfortable driving that day.this is the first time it's ever happened,i'm assuming that even though when you drive and it's raining the water from the wheel wells can't reach that spot or switch,but if you put water on it from above,it probably will cause this type of problem,your guess would be as good as mine,but that's all i can figure that might of happened,at least i have cold air blowing now!!! thanks for listening to my ranting,you never know someone else might have or has had this type of problem.
Purchased new vue hybrid green line 5/31/07. Problems with ignition sticking was replaced twice, still an issue. Main and major problem: on 3/13/08 in for service due to engine shutting off and restarting itself. Codes p1a6f; p1a5a; p1a56, bulletin 07-06-03-006a suspected battery corrosion. Ordered new battery, i was givencar to drivefor 7 days until battery received and replaced at that time. The same issue of stop/restarting engine occuring again in for service on 9/02/08, bulletin pip 4009 . Pcm calibration recalibrated ecm with newest cal., service stated driving ok. Again in for same issue of engine stop/restarting itself on 10/23/08 with no resolve. Again in for same issue on 1/28/09, code p1174, replaced injectors 1 & 2. Found code p1a6f. Service tech cleared codes, stated working fine. In again for stop/restart of engine on 02/05/09. Waiting to hear from service.
I heard a rumbling noise coming from the engine. After driving approximately 150 miles, the noise became noticeably worse. I went to the saturn dealership and had the problem checked. I was told that the tensioner on the serpentine belt had 'disintegrated' and was on the verge of failure.

Driving on interstate, check engine light came on, shortly thereafter all dash lights came on and car shut off on its own.coasted to side of road, thankfully no accident.took to dealer, diagnostic test ran, 5 codes came up, repaired only one according to paperwork.next time drove vehicle happened again.

My vue has mysteriously started emitting a strong scent of fuel before i could get it into a day alert to diagnose and service it i was on the road when a fire started in the rear of my vehicle filling it with smoke. I pulled over and my boyfriend extinguished the flames but my brake light and dash light and instrumentation had been damage from electrical harnesses frying . Also needed to replace fuel pump return system and float as they were the initial cracked cause. Very scary thank god and jesus my baby girls weren't in the car or that worse had happened.
My truck only had 60,000 miles on it. While driving home i began to noticed some smoke coming from the hood of the truck. Being only a block away from the house i proceeded to the stop sign. I was going to park and check it out thinking that it was something minor. Just as i was about to turn the corner the unthinkable happened. While at the stop sign the smoke quickly ignited into flames under the hood of the truck. I quickly pulled over in front of my house. Turned off truck, jumped out and ran to the side yard for the hose. I yelled out for my wife call the fire department. She called immediately and i tried to control the fire until the police and fire truck arrived. I was afraid that it would explode and damage other cars around it. The fire spread under the hood of the truck, under the car and quickly into the interior though the dashboard. There was no warning of a problem with the vehicle. My wife is pregnant and we had just driven to her doctors appointment earlier that day in the truck and it drove well. There was no indicator light on to warn me of any problem with the engine, fuel or any other vehicle hazards. The car has not been in any accidents and has been maintained well. I did not receive any mail or email notification about recalls that disclosed a problem with this vehicle. The next day i retraced my path home and saw a trail of fluid in the street that lead to the spot that the car finally ended up in. So some kind of leak and engine failure took place that caused this awful fire.i am just so glad that i made it out alive and that it didn't happen to her while she was driving because she usually drives this vehicle. I need to know what recourse i have now to deal with this matter.
While parked noticed a strong smell of gasoline coming from the rear of the vehicle. Took vehicle to our mechanic who found that the secondary fuel pump had cracks along the top plastic connections where the fuel lines attach, after further examination our mechanic stated that fuel had been spraying from this defect and we were lucky not to have had a fire, the fuel pump connections being plastic and in such close proximity to the underside of the vehicle it is able to get damaged easily if you hit a hard bump in the road and the tank compresses agaist the frame. After paying $850.00 for parts and labor to have the fuel pump replaced i found out that similar gm vehicles have been recalled for the same type of defect but the saturn vue has not, will it require a fire or death before the saturn is added to the recall list.
Bought 2007 saturn vue 2.2l 4-cyl with 62,500 miles. Noticed raw gas smell most strong near the right rear tail light lens. Twice mechanics have checked for fuel leaks with no results and no real diagnosis. There are no malfunction codes or warning lamps illuminated. Worried about a fire hazard.

My vehicle began to smell like gas after driving. The smell just began to get worse. Unbearable at times. I finally took it in to the mechanic and tells me that the gas tank is leaking from the top and it's too major of a job to take on. Suggested i take it to the dealership. Firestone is worried my vehicle could catch on fire.i hope the dealer has a better insight on this. My wife has been driving this car. It's very upsetting.

Recently we have been getting the strong odor of gasoline emitting from the rear of the vehicle.i traced the source to the top of the tank, the fuel pump. I have learned through on line research that this is a problem on several 2007 gm models with the same fuel tank configuration.some of the other models have been recalled, but the vue has not.

Air bag light will be on, or flash periodically when already fastened.had an electrical fire in the left side of steering column 7/27/18. Cruise goes in and out. Dim/bright light comes on when using turn signal. Ignition switch locks up from time to time where key can't be removed and steering wheel locks up or you can remove key but switch is still engaged. Vehicle has been in motion when most incidents occurred and lockups occur depending on what position the steering wheel is in (adjustable). The electrical fire happened just as i exited the highway from a 30 minute trip after releasing the cruise control button. Luckily i was only 4 blocks from home. Cfd was called and they dismantled the column, extinguished the fire. I was blessed. This could have been worse!

Dealer claims otherwise?gm refuses to reimbursement?
Noticed a fuel leak around tank filler area. Replaced fuel cap but did not help. Noticeable fuel odor. Vehicle is hard to start when sitting for an extended period (longer than 6 hours). Mechanic determined that leak was around fuel pump. Was informed of recall involving other similar 2007 gm vehicles, but not the saturn vue, although the vue has same type of fuel pump. Vehicles currently involved in the recall include the saturn ion, chevrolet equinox, and pontiac torrent.
Brought my 2007 saturn vue to repair a powerful gasoline smell around the rear of car, near gas cap.said it would cost $332 to lift out fuel tank to see where the problem was.4 hours later, mechanic said the tank wasdrenched with gasoline because the lines to the fuel pumpwere crimped and cracked so there was gasoline leaking out.(wonder why i was refueling so often?)i need a new fuel pump costs $600.i'll be sure to use my 10% off coupon.the worst part was no engine light ever came on to warn me!!!!also within the last 10 months, i have had the battery replaced, 2 new lift gates, brakes and new tires.i have always been good about oil changes/maintenance but i guess new cars are only supposed to last 10 years.bummer!
I have been noticing a very strong smell of gasoline from my saturn for several weeks.it is most notable once i stop the car and get out but it is always there when the car is stopped. I traced it to an area up high and toward the rear of the gas tank.you can clearly see staining from a leak on a piece of the undercarriage below that area.i have learned the two sister vehicles of the saturn vue in 2007, the pontiac torrent and the chevrolet equinox, were recalled in california last year for this problem but it doesn't appear the vue was.recently i have also noticed the my gasoline mileage has dropped from around 25 mpg to just barely over 20 mpg with no change in driving or weather..
When turning the car on;, the exterior and interior lights flicker,the radio turns off and on, the lights on the dashboard that show mileage flicker, power steering is off, windows do not go up or down and locks do not unlock.takes 10-15 mins for car to stop flickering and power to be restored to car, before then you cannot drive it.abs light and check engine go on and off intermittently .car battery has died 3 times. I have been late for appointments, late for picking my children up and getting them from school, due to waiting for the car to stop flickering and malfunctioning.this has been ongoing daily, and it was not able to be fixed yet.i do not have a picture, but i will take pic/video if you need one
Detected strong odor of gas around rear of car. Two different mechanics had the car on a lift and could not discover source of gasoline smell. Two or three thousand miles later, we took the car to a third mechanic and, using an inspection camera, he immediately found that the primary fuel pump had a cracked fuel fitting. The mechanic advised how dangerous this leak could be as it was directly over the exhaust. This is my wife's car and she had been using it to commute 400 miles round trip to help with our newest grandchild. Cost to repair is over $400.00. This is not a hazard unique to our vehicle; refer to saturn vue fuel leak at www.saturnfans.com. Considering contacting a lawyer due to the serious nature of this common hazard that has not been addressed by gm.
We were passing a truck, then the throttle stuck and the vehicle would not slow down , we finally got it in neutraland pulled over. This was very scary. And now my electrical is all messed up. I am scared to drive it. I don"t have the money to get it repaired. I now have to take the bus or bum a ride. I paid $6500 for this car.. Any chance i can get help from gm. I really like the car. I have two major complaints with the vehicle.the key can be removed from the ignition while in the "on" position and is hard to start.gm has claimed this vehicle is not covered under the ignition recallthe second complaint, the vehicle leaks fuel from above the tank which seems to be typical to saturn vues.
2007 saturn vue fwd v6 passenger door does not open when door is unlocked and outside or inside door handle is lifted. Repeated attempts to lock and unlock will eventually spring the door latch loose. Aside from the inconvenience, the problem can cause entrapment of the passenger.

I bought this 2007 saturn vue v6 awd in july 2012 from brighton ford, brighton minoticed a slight vibration when test driving. Less than a week after i buy it the ac goes out, and the shuttering gets worse.take it back to them to look at and get referred to a tire shop.was told the ac coil hada huge leak, and was probably "topped off" at by the dealer and that there was some tire wear issues.brighton ford refused to fix anything.drive it for about a year the shuttering gets worse and worse take it in to bud kouts chevrolet, lansing, mi for a check engine lightthat came on, it was because of a miss fire in two of the cylinders.told them about the shuttering, was told nothing was wrong.28 days later i have a tire explode, told there was nothing wrong.take it back after finding a huge hole in the shock absorber casing.this time speaking with the dealership owner directly, after two days they finally found the cause of the shuttering,a bad torque converter.they admitted that this is an issue on the these vehicles, but still want about $2000 to fix it.if there is not a recall on this there should be.i will never by a gm made vehicle again.i've owned three now and have had nothing but problems with them.the subaru i owned had well over 200,000 miles and no issues the same goes for a mazda i owned.

Saturn vue 2007 v6 gas engine15,000 milesvehicle failed to accelerate above 20mph, shift out of 1st gear, and idled at 1,500 rpm.dealer stated the throttle was filled with carbon deposits and that this is normal for the vehicles at 18,000 miles.i have never driven a vehicle with this problem regardless of total mileage or environmental conditions.however, this vehicle has been operated under normal driving conditions in louisiana and with brand fuels with additives.
My saturn vue, year 2007, is making a screeching sound coming from the area of the transmission on startup and gets louder on acceleration. The rpm is overly amped. On acceleration if stutters or feels like it's skipping between gears. This takes place on starting the car to driving on city streets or the highway.
I was driving on the highway going about 65 mph and the car started shaking,brakes. Got really tight car barely wanted to,stop transmissikn was overheating at the same time car wasnt passing second gear everything happened out of nowhere.

Engine died at 89,000 miles rocker arm assembly fell apart both of them valve was bent, timing chain came loose just went to start vehicle and it wouldn't start towed in to a dealership to have it checked and found it to be engine i tried to go through gm to help with this it was out of warranty a little over a year nothing else has went wrong with the vehicle ever and i have had oil changes no reason for it to fall apart and 4800 dollars later i feel it was a defect in the engine itself i have read other defects on this 2.2 litre engine of coarse no help from manufacturer even though its a 2007 car the engine is made separate from when a car is made i have not heard of too many vehicles with a dead engine this early...
My car is a 2007 saturn vue. We only had it for a couple years. I first purchased the car and it only had 80000 miles on it its now at 105000 and the transmission went out on it driving down the highway. I havent had the car that long. It was practically still new. If these cars easily break down caused by transmission then they should be up for recall .the carwas moving we were going down highway when there was a clucking sound.

When turn on a/c will blow cold air for about 15 minutes and then blow hot air. Once car is turned off and turned back on the cold air blows for 15 minutes and then blows hot air. This process repeats itself. This is while car is in motion.
Front wheel bearings replaced at 83500 and already making noise again at 85,400 miles.

May have a torque converter condition that could result in a transmissions vibrations or shaking motion (judder) while driving at speeds of 25 to 45 mph.
Upon a cold start, when the vehicle has rolled about ten feet, forward or reverse, with no input on the accelerator, there is a whir from the engine compartment, akin to a stepper motor noise, and the vehicle accelerates on its own.in reverse, applying the brakes stops the car, and then selecting drive, the vehicle responds to the accelerator correctly.the same thing happens in forward, but in most cases the accelerator is engaged to move forward.the problem does not seem to occur when the car is warmed up and being driven under normal use.in reviewing the shop manuals, there is an electronic throttle control motor, which i assume is a stepper type motor, in the throttle body assembly.this is controlled by the throttle actuator control(tac) and the power control module(pcm).i assume that the motor is failing, buthave not experienced a reduced engine power mode or engine shutdown mode event.if this part is failing it should be covered by the emission warranty of 8 years/80,000 miles, but unfortunately the car is 9 years old.i will approach my dealer and saturn about possible coverage under warranty, but have had difficulty with them in the past.i feel this is a safety issue, as it can catch a driver unaware and create a possible accident scenario.

After starting the vehicle, the check engine indicator illuminated. While attempting to shift into drive, the gear failed to shift even though the gear indicator displayed that the vehicle was in drive. The vehicle was taken to sears auto center where it was diagnosed that there were electrical failures. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 180,000.
I have less than 12,000 miles on this car and it has repeatedly been in the shop. The entire transmission has been replaced, all electrical suddenly dies, the hybrid has stopped working several times. The airbags have had to be fixed. There is a constant problem.
The contact owns a 2007 saturn vue.after purchasing the vehicle in july of 2007, the contact had to take the vehicle back to get a new one three hours later.when he took the vehicle to the dealer for 5,000 mile servicing, the dealer discovered a recall, informed the contact, and made the repairs.within twenty days, the contact had to have three hybrid electrical wiring harnesses replaced, the entire vehicle was re-wired, and a new transmission was installed.all the instrument panel and air bag lights illuminated intermittently.the dealer stated that if the air bag light is illuminated, it is inoperable.on two separate occasions, the contact had to have the failures repaired again.the dealer stated that there was a new recall related to the emission, but they could not perform the repair.they recommended a shop (freemond auto) and they replaced the factory fitting for that make and model.while at a traffic light with the brake pedal depressed, the engine shut off and restarted.the vehicle rolled back while the brake pedal was still depressed.the contact is still experiencing wiring and transmission failure.the failure mileage was 4,800 and current mileage was 16,311.updated 4/7/08 updated 04/07/08

This vehicle started having problems just 2 years after i bought it brand new.i have had the wheel bearings replaced 8 times.each front one has been replaced 3 times and each rear once.gm has not recalled the item and has in fact extended my warranty but this vehicle is obviously a lemon or the bearings should be recalled.

Diagnosis: clips holding shifter cables bad, recommends replacing both cables and ends/clips at shifter.tried to take to independent garage to have repair performed, and upon pickup at dealership both clips were apparently so bad that no linkage between shifter and transmission now exists. Car is unable to move under own power.parts are available to be replaced.out of bumper-to-bumper at 36k miles ... Not covered under 5yr/100k miles powertrain warranty.
Failure of manual transmission linkage.shift lever action became loose during shifting from 3rd to 2nd gear.vehicle remained in 3rd gear allowing car to be driven out of traffic.disassembly of shift assembly indicated failure of retaining clip that held front/back shift linkage on to end of shift lever.repaired linkage by drilling through cable end assembly at 4 corner points of top and bottom plastic retention plates to replace failed inadequate e-clip retention system that attaches cable end to shift lever.

I can only say god help gm if anything happens to a passenger of mine due to this issue with all the complaints made by myself and others and it keeps on going ignored.
I was driving on the interstate (i90) near rockford il when all of the sudden my side curtain air bags deployed.there was no accident and the front air bags did not deploy.the seat belts locked up and the lights started flashing.this issue has not been resolved through gm.my insurance company says they wont fix it because it was not in an accident.gm has not been helpful at all.gm had an independent investigator out.the investigator said it was obvious it was not in an accident.gm has been very vague in its response.only saying that they believe the air bag system is ok, "something must have made it go off".
Light for airbag comes onlight and signal for seat belt comes on even though seat belt is engaged.

I bought a saturn vue hybrid in september, with in two hours the driver seat back lumbar mechanism feel apart when a car parked to close forced me to worm my way in the door. It was fixed several times and saturn of libertyville, using slip ties to finally hold it together. With the help of saturn customer service i went to another dealer, parts are on order. My back being broken three times rear ended stopped at lights, my back did not feel good riding in the broken seat for a month. Saturn tells me all warranties etc. Are void if i have a safe seat, recar othodeic, i will not ride in an unsafe seat when it is so easy to correct the problem. If any person gets rear ended at more than about ten mile per hour they will have back injuries. Having attended college for me.bs. And ee. Bs. I will not be played for a fool by any car company. My 2007 saturn vueall the time since i purchased it the passenger side deployment bag light will not work, unless i turn on the passenger heat , and the seat does not heat up, and i am still not sure it will work because it is an electrical problem, also my electric windows won't work on several occasions, and the ignition shift the key sticks and steering column locks when this happens, and it won't release the key. Dealer won't deal with it, wonder if there has been any other complaints because i do not feel safe especially when i have passengers, it cannot be trusted, not sure of any recalls, but it definitely needs to be looked into and fixed before anyone could get hurt.
The contact owns a 2007 saturn vue. The contact stated that the passenger's side air bag warning light would illuminate whenever the passenger seat was occupied. The failure began when the wire used for the heated passenger's seat failed. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was told that the heat element wire fractured and caused the failure. The dealer advised that the failure was common with his particular model that had the optionally heated seat. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was unknown, but the current mileage was 75,000. When the car starts the steering locks up and makes the car difficult to drive.the brakes also grind and the transmission makes noises.the electrical components malfunction and lights and sounds flicker on and off.all of these things have been looked into by a mechanic and they cannot find a solution as to why the electric malfunctioning and steering is locking up.
Driving along at highway speeds had to avoid hitting a vehicle after being cut off. This resulted in using greater than usual brake forceat that moment, heard pop noise which came from rear of vehicle then vehicle veered to right at the same instant steering wheel started to move clockwise and counter clockwise rapidly.had to bring vehicle under 35 mph to get steering under control (almost lost control into cement barrier)when trying to accelerate back to speed limit vehicle vibrated violently for almost 2 miles until i was able to get off highway. When braking on off ramp vehicle veered to right ! later that day had vehicle checked and tech found rear subframe bolt had lost its head (literally) appeared to be badly rusted below depth of subframe..bolt was replaced and alignment checked,two days later left front wheel locks when coming to stop or when brakes are pumped 2-3 applications. Had front pads and rotors replaced brakes flushed.,rear brakes checked and serviced. No indication of sticking calipers or flex hose issues. .vehicle has also experienced un explained wide open throttle when acceleratorpedal is depressed morethan 50 percent. Nearly rear ended another vehicle when wot occurred. These issues along with ignition switch problem have drained my pocketbook. Never have i encountered this many serious safety issues with any of my previous vehicles which i owned. .

The contact owns a 2007 saturn vue.after purchasing the vehicle in july of 2007, the contact had to take the vehicle back to get a new one three hours later.when he took the vehicle to the dealer for 5,000 mile servicing, the dealer discovered a recall, informed the contact, and made the repairs.within twenty days, the contact had to have three hybrid electrical wiring harnesses replaced, the entire vehicle was re-wired, and a new transmission was installed.all the instrument panel and air bag lights illuminated intermittently.the dealer stated that if the air bag light is illuminated, it is inoperable.on two separate occasions, the contact had to have the failures repaired again.the dealer stated that there was a new recall related to the emission, but they could not perform the repair.they recommended a shop (freemond auto) and they replaced the factory fitting for that make and model.while at a traffic light with the brake pedal depressed, the engine shut off and restarted.the vehicle rolled back while the brake pedal was still depressed.the contact is still experiencing wiring and transmission failure.the failure mileage was 4,800 and current mileage was 16,311.updated 4/7/08 updated 04/07/08
My 6 day old saturn vue - hybrid had 242 miles on it when the low battery light went on.the check engine lights went on, then the abs, traction control, and passenger air bag light illuminated. I was able to get to the dealers, coasted in to their shop. Thenew car sat there for 12 days before i was able to drive it. The starter/ generator control module had to be replaced. It had to come from an outside supplier, who claimed to have shipped it, but had no tracking number, and supposedly it could not be found. It finally arrived after thecar was in the shop for 12 days and was installed.
I have to turn the wheel back and forth several times and step on the gas a little to unlock the wheel and start the car.it's been doing this regularly since winter.i don't have any big key rings, etc., so that shouldn't be why it's doing that.also, the airbag light comes on the passenger side when no one is sitting there.in addition, a few times my car has stalled out in traffic.there is something going on with this model year saturn vue especially since i've read many complaints of an identical nature.please recall this year as well and get these problems fixed.
Ignition key locked in place and would not turn on or unlock steering wheel causing vehicle to be immobile.this could cause the steering to hazardious if the steering locked while moving.other gm vehicles, including saturns have had recalls on the ignition switch.
While driving the vehicle, the power steering was lost making it extremely difficult to steer the vehicle as there was no electronic assisted steering at that point. In addition, the digital components on the dashboard (speedometer, fuel gauge, etc.) lost power. The power steering would go out intermittently while driving making it very dangerous to operate the vehicle.
Takata recall i was told by a mechanic. My steering wont let me turn. Keeps pulling me. I cant ride it.

The key continually gets stuck in the ignition of my vue. I have been stranded a couple of times because i could not turn the key or remove it. I have taken it to bob jeanotte buick gmc (14949 n. Sheldon, plymouth mi. 734-453-2500) and they told me there is nothing they can do. I also have a second vue that the same thing has happened to and the ignition was changed twice but still has a sticking issue. I would like to take them back in to have them changed but they are not currently on the list. Only 2007 ion and sky.
I was pulling out of a parking lot (turning right) onto street. The power steering failed causing me to swing wide into middle lane instead of nearest lane to curb. Car traveling in middle lane had to brake and swerve to avoid hitting me.the power steering is failing intermittently on this car, especially in low speed situations.
The eps system on the saturn vue is a big safety issue - please fixthe eps is a pain to drive, it sometimes lags in its assist, and then other times over corrects. My daughter has a difficult time with it and i am concerned with safety. The car just seems to wonder sometimes as i drive it. I wish gm would do something about this issue. I have done research and this appears to be a common problem with the gm eps system.
More then 5 times the suv has not started, and we had to replace the ignition switch because the key would not even turn in it. I believe we have tanaka airbags.

My 2007 saturn vue has given me problems with the key, ignition, steering wheel and air bag light.there have been numerous times where the key has gotten stuck in the ignition switch and won't turn or come out of the ignition, leaving me stranded in and out of town.there have also been many times that after entering the key in the ignition, the key will not turn to start the car.when i take the key out of the ignition, the warning signal goes off and i have to put the tip of the key in the ignition just enough to trigger a part of the switch to click into proper place.these things are not normal and are definitely defective.the airbag light will just come an at any given time.it worries me that they will not deploy when i need it or they deploy as i'm driving-a serious hazard.i don't understand why every other saturn has been recalled for defects other than the vue for these very same items.do they not all require the same parts of which we speak of?there are enough valid complaints here and to come to responsibly take care of the matter as soon as possible.

I was driving down the street and smoke began coming from around the steering wheel of my car.a symbol of a person holding a airbag appeared on the dashboard, i then felt that the airbag was going to deploy.i immediately pulled out of traffic into a auto zone.aworker seen the smoke, and felt my car was on fire.i explained to him that the smoke is coming from around the steering wheel.he said "get out of your car, it's dangerous! the airbag lights for both driver side and passenger side come on and off.my saturn is paid for, and i'm unemployed right now and can not afford to invest in a new vehicle.what can be done for the safety of the people who have trustedthe industry?
My air bag light has come on numerous times in the past year when my gas goes down below a half tank. Steering becomes a bit more stiff when the light is on. It does eventually go out. When i am in and out of the car several times throughout the day the light will all of a sudden come on. My brakes act strangely when the light is on. I have had my brakes done so i know they are okay. It worries me that the airbag just randomly comes on.
After the warranty expired, my saturn vue experienced failure of the ignition lock system which cost me a fee of $141.12 to have it replaced at the a-abra-cadabra lock service in akron, ohio. The problem was when i inserted the ignition key, sometimes the motor would start, and sometimes it wouldn't. Oftentimes, i had to shake the steering wheel to get the ignition to work. Also, sometimes the ignition key was difficult to get in and out of its slot. Because of these ignition switch problems, i feared an accident. According to the owner of the lock service shop, at that time his installation at 09/27/10, the replacement mechanism would eventually give me the same problems, and fail once again. He said it was the only ignition switch available for this vehicle, and only one manufacturer supplier produced the part. He said all of them were defective.gm should immediately recall and replace this part for the saturn vue before someone is hurt in the ignition failure. This same ignition switch has already been recalled and replaced in the saturn ion and other gm vehicles. Why not the saturn vue?
Driving on the road and freeway, the dashboard lights and radio go out and i loose power steering, this is an ongoing and sporadic problem.took it to the dealer and they could not replicate the problem. They recommended to replace the both battery cables, i replace them but continue to have the problem, i believe it is an ignition switch problem, but there is no recall on my vin number
The ignition will lock up and you have to move the steering wheel back and forth while you are turning the key trying to get to start. When driving down the road (usually in 4th gear) the gas peddle will stop working, you can put it all the way to the floor and get nothing. I usually can push the clutch in and make it work again.the passenger airbag will come on when no one is sitting in the seat.

My key would not come out of ignition, had to drill out ignition cylinderand replace housing also. Had to get a mechanic to key the cylinder and now the lights, a/c, and radio do not work after engine starts until it runs for about 8 minutes. Then everything works, butthe check engine light stays on, the engine runs good, until it sits parked overnight and have to do it again the next day. Also had to replace the alternator. Still doing the same. Had it parked for abot two months and just start it and run the engine to preseve the battery. Use other vehicle instead.

My steering is hard to turn when i start my car, then after messing with the lock and unlock button the steering wheel releases. The lights on my dash start flashing it goes on and off. The fuses are fine it's something else. There's no place to put power steering fluid? help.

After jiggling the key and turning the steering wheel several times, the key was able to come out and had difficulty being reinserted. The failure occurred anytime without warning. The vehicle was not taken to an independent mechanic or kia dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 71,000.
I have two major complaints with the vehicle.the key can be removed from the ignition while in the "on" position and is hard to start.gm has claimed this vehicle is not covered under the ignition recallthe second complaint, the vehicle leaks fuel from above the tank which seems to be typical to saturn vues.

Each time this occurred the vehicle was stationary/being parked, on 6-10 different occasions in the past 2 years, the key has gotten locked tight in the ignition switch.this caused the battery to run down and die on more than a few occasions. Once the key was frozen in place, after the engine was off, the key would not move in any direction and the steering was locked tight unable to move at all, the gear shift column was unable to be put in park.other times the key would just be stuck in the ignition switch and could not be removed, regardless of effort to remove it, also not allowing the vehicle to be place into the gear of park. This problem has cause us to abandon the vehicle more than once, this is dangerous & should be addressed. I see other recalls on other saturn models but not the vue 2007, which does have a defect in this area and needs to be recalled. For the record the car key and the remote are the only things on my key chain, so the weight of the key chain is not the problem. This happened twice in the last 3 weeks.
The key has had many instances of trouble inserting or removing from the ignition. The key can also be removed while in any of the positions. At times the key also has trouble turning between the different positions.seems to be the same issue that many similar model year saturn vehicles are having. I venture the problem is impacting more vehicles than gm is willing to admit. The longer it can push of the repair the less costly it is to the company.
Pulled out of a gas station on march 20, 2013 and heard something fall in the front of the car and drag the ground.pulled off to see what it was and there was a bar hanging down from the car.tested the car out and it was driving and steering fine so drove home.tried to go to a gm dealership (dublin byers, dublin, oh).their hours said they were open until 6:00 p.m and it was 5:45 p.m.beeped the horn and they did not answer.was taking the car to a repair shop on the 22nd to get a wheel bearing replaced and called and left them a message to tell them what happened.checked my car out on march 21, 2013 and told me it was the stabilizer bar (sway bar).i believe this has been broken for quite some time but when i went down the slight embankment at the gas station apparently that was all it needed to fall down.it is a very clean break and did not break at the bolts but in the middle.apparently this is happening to a number of cars as folks have been putting it on the internet.i did make a complaint to gm saturn on-line and they have been in contact with me and wanted me to take the stabilizer bar to the dealership but it tooka while to get through to the service manager.went today and he never even came out and met me.he had one of the service team members just take the information down and they made a copy of my repair bill and took my phone number and said they will submit it to gm.i heard that they are still having issues with the stabilizer bar on the new vehicles as well.i believe there needs to be a recall on these and am hoping they reimburse me for the part.i am inclined to believe these parts are not solid metal that there could be some filler in them and believe this should be looked into.i can send you a photo of my part if you would like to look at it.

He had to turn the vehicle off.he contacted the dealer, in which a technician stated that the steering knuckle caused the failure. However there were no recalls to address the failure. The failure and current mileages were unknown. The vehicle identification number was unavailable.
Roof rack collects water rusting out bolts holding cross member to roof rails.doing routine inspection and found one cross member detached.fortunately located before loading surfboard to racks which could have failed while traveling on road.it appears the rails which run the length of the roof is where the racks fail.there are holes which collect water causing the rust and eventual failure of the bolt(s) that the cross member attaches too.
2007 saturn vue was serviced because of the check engine and battery lights illuminating. Dealer replaced and fixed several problems. Consumer was still not happy with the way the vehicle ran.the consumer stated the radio was replaced for the third time, and there was even more wind noise from the driver side door with the new rubber seal. The consumer also stated major loss of power, rough upshifting, double downshifting while braking and poor fuel economy.the consumer was told a new calibration was made to the pcm as part of the correction made along with the wiring harness to make the check engine and battery lights go off.
Rear driver side door does not latch consistantly when closing from outside.
My truck only had 60,000 miles on it. While driving home i began to noticed some smoke coming from the hood of the truck. Being only a block away from the house i proceeded to the stop sign. I was going to park and check it out thinking that it was something minor. Just as i was about to turn the corner the unthinkable happened. While at the stop sign the smoke quickly ignited into flames under the hood of the truck. I quickly pulled over in front of my house. Turned off truck, jumped out and ran to the side yard for the hose. I yelled out for my wife call the fire department. She called immediately and i tried to control the fire until the police and fire truck arrived. I was afraid that it would explode and damage other cars around it. The fire spread under the hood of the truck, under the car and quickly into the interior though the dashboard. There was no warning of a problem with the vehicle. My wife is pregnant and we had just driven to her doctors appointment earlier that day in the truck and it drove well. There was no indicator light on to warn me of any problem with the engine, fuel or any other vehicle hazards. The car has not been in any accidents and has been maintained well. I did not receive any mail or email notification about recalls that disclosed a problem with this vehicle. The next day i retraced my path home and saw a trail of fluid in the street that lead to the spot that the car finally ended up in. So some kind of leak and engine failure took place that caused this awful fire.i am just so glad that i made it out alive and that it didn't happen to her while she was driving because she usually drives this vehicle. I need to know what recourse i have now to deal with this matter.
Car parked and rolled across lot and hit another car. Key can be removed without being in park. 3 additional incidences without crash due to safety function not active have occurred. Was told this model not part of recall.told to call dealer by gm recall operator and talk to them. Left number at 423 855-0550 to speak with service department. Waiting for call back.
I was driving in my subdivision and the curtain air bags went off in my 2007 saturn vue hybrid. I swerved and ran into a tree causing massive frontal damage and the driver-side air bag to deploy. My 3-year-old daughter was in the back passenger child car seat and was ok but i was diagnosed with chest, knee, hip, and nose contusions, still healing after 4+ days. The car was a total loss per allstate. I have no idea what caused the curtain air bags to go off but see on carcomplaints.com there are many airbag issues. Very mad and demand attention from gm since saturn is defunct.

The contact owns a 2007 saturn vue. The contact was driving approximately 60 mph when the contact began to hear extreme outside noises and wind blowing into the vehicle. The front driver and passenger side doors began to shake abnormally followed by rain leaking in through both doors. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician stated there was no recall for the failure and advised that both the driver and passengers side doors would need the alignment readjusted and resealed. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 25,000.

The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, a grinding type noise was present coming from the front passenger side wheel and the front of the vehicle would vibrate. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed that the front passenger side wheel bearing was faulty. The bearing was replaced but the failure recurred. The contact indicated that while operating the vehicle, the front passenger side air bag sensor light would illuminate indicating that the system was turned off although a passenger was seated in the front passenger seat. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The failures were not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 70,000.
Pulled out of a gas station on march 20, 2013 and heard something fall in the front of the car and drag the ground.pulled off to see what it was and there was a bar hanging down from the car.tested the car out and it was driving and steering fine so drove home.tried to go to a gm dealership (dublin byers, dublin, oh).their hours said they were open until 6:00 p.m and it was 5:45 p.m.beeped the horn and they did not answer.was taking the car to a repair shop on the 22nd to get a wheel bearing replaced and called and left them a message to tell them what happened.checked my car out on march 21, 2013 and told me it was the stabilizer bar (sway bar).i believe this has been broken for quite some time but when i went down the slight embankment at the gas station apparently that was all it needed to fall down.it is a very clean break and did not break at the bolts but in the middle.apparently this is happening to a number of cars as folks have been putting it on the internet.i did make a complaint to gm saturn on-line and they have been in contact with me and wanted me to take the stabilizer bar to the dealership but it tooka while to get through to the service manager.went today and he never even came out and met me.he had one of the service team members just take the information down and they made a copy of my repair bill and took my phone number and said they will submit it to gm.i heard that they are still having issues with the stabilizer bar on the new vehicles as well.i believe there needs to be a recall on these and am hoping they reimburse me for the part.i am inclined to believe these parts are not solid metal that there could be some filler in them and believe this should be looked into.i can send you a photo of my part if you would like to look at it.
Front stabilizer bar broke under normal driving conditions.1 inch thick bar snapped leaving parts dragging, abs system inactive and car unexpectedly difficult to control. Luckily the car was not being driven at a high rate of speed.
I purchased a 2007 saturn vue in 2009.i was never told or made aware that the tie rod attached to the two front tires was almost broken. One day driving very locally, it broke and was hanging there til i got home.i took it to the mechanic and he removed it telling me i had to replace it which will cost $323.i was also told by my insurance company this vehicle was in two accidents prior to my purchasing it but i was never told of that either.
Driving ~20mph on dirt road for 7 miles when smelled hot oil. Determined that both shocks had blown out their grease and there was a significant amount of smoke coming out of both rear shocks. Shocks stopped smoking within 30 minutes of letting car set, shocks are no longer functional. Wondering if it would have caught fire if we hadn't stopped immediately.
The ignition key can be removed when the ignition is not in the locked position and the car was not in park and started to roll away.this car 2007 saturn vue is having the same issue as found in gm recall 14506 which is stated as only for 2002-2004 saturn vue cars.the national highway traffic safety administration campaign id number for this recall is 14v490. The dealership said my vehicle does not have a recall for this defect but it is clearly a mfg defect.i would like this resolved at no charge.
We were passing a truck, then the throttle stuck and the vehicle would not slow down , we finally got it in neutraland pulled over. This was very scary. And now my electrical is all messed up. I am scared to drive it. I don"t have the money to get it repaired. I now have to take the bus or bum a ride. I paid $6500 for this car.. Any chance i can get help from gm. I really like the car. It the ignition switch. I just recently started purchasing a 2007 saturn vue. From the first day i bought it, i had trouble turning the ignition, then about 1 week ago, it wouldn't turn at all. I took it back to the dealer i am purchasing through and they had to replace the entire ignition switch...brand new. But now, the same problem seems to be occurring. This particular year is not on the recall list but i believe it should be. I noticed that many other sautun vue's for2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 & 2009 are on the recall list for the malfunctioning ignition switch. Wish i had done my homework before i started making payments.
While driving i noticed the "air bag readiness" light come on.it stayed on for about 10-15 minutes until i reached my destination and turned off the engine.i turned the car back on and the light only stayed on for a short time, then went off.later that day when driving the light came back on and stayed on again until i turned off the engine.it did this several times.i checked the owners manual and it said to take it in for diagnostics to be run.it also said that the air bag could deploy unexpectedly, or not deploy at all if in an accident.i made and appointment on 07/24/2015 and took it to a dealer.after running the computer check on it, the technician said the passenger presence sensor needed to be replaced and it was not covered by my extended warranty.the parts would have to be ordered and would take several hours to install.the cost would be approximately $1,200 or more for parts and labor.i had to take off work twice to take in for service, and lost about 8 hours of work time due to this incident.also, the turn signal had to be replaced; it failed to turn off after making a turn, mostly to the left, but sometimes turning to the right also.i was told that neither of these should have needed to be replaced on my car with the mileage it has.
There is a recall on similar models for the same issue, but not mine.my key comes out of the ignition while driving and continues to run.this also occurs while in park.this could cause airbags to not deploy in an accident as well as it has drained my electrical system on a number of occasions because if it is not fully disengaged i can still remove the key in acc mode and drive mode.also, i have to tug on the gear shift in order to get the key into the proper position to remove it properly.now'i cannot even turn my key, as the ignition is seizing.it takes me no less than 10 minutes to get it to click and turn on.i was advised my model is not in the recall though the same and same makes are.i really feel this is a huge issue. Please advise!this has been an issue since i have owned the vehicle and i was told it was a recall, but when i went to my appointment, they advised it is not part of the current recall.
When vehicle starts passager dash board makes tickong sound for about 2 min and stops. Passager seat will not go back latch does not work.
My saturn vue, year 2007, is making a screeching sound coming from the area of the transmission on startup and gets louder on acceleration. The rpm is overly amped. On acceleration if stutters or feels like it's skipping between gears. This takes place on starting the car to driving on city streets or the highway.
Engine died at 89,000 miles rocker arm assembly fell apart both of them valve was bent, timing chain came loose just went to start vehicle and it wouldn't start towed in to a dealership to have it checked and found it to be engine i tried to go through gm to help with this it was out of warranty a little over a year nothing else has went wrong with the vehicle ever and i have had oil changes no reason for it to fall apart and 4800 dollars later i feel it was a defect in the engine itself i have read other defects on this 2.2 litre engine of coarse no help from manufacturer even though its a 2007 car the engine is made separate from when a car is made i have not heard of too many vehicles with a dead engine this early...

Now air bag light stays on all the time.it happened when car was moving and stopped.took it to shop to get it checked out saidit is a defective impact sensor an unable to verify ifair bag works . Am getting it replaced as soon as i get the money, just replaced catalatic converter at only 72000 miles. Dealer replaced it for 260.00 plus part 1200.00
I started my car and the driveside air bag light came on no blinking just on. My car had been parked while i was at work.i went home for lunch i figured it was just a glitch would go out went back to work parked it again then when i left to go home it was on again.in the past few months i have had my keys get stuck in the ignition switch and had to wiggle the steering wheel to.get them out.my radio screen will go all crazy funny numbers and i have had wind noise with both of my front doors since i have owned the vehicle.we took it to the dealership and the worked on the ignition switch when it was under warranty but it didn't help.now with the airbag i am terrified to drive the car i paid for and to let my child ride in it and it's my only transportation.it looks like every other saturn is getting recalled but this one we need help before we get hurt.i was not aware of these problems when i purchased this vehicle but now saddled with it hoping for someone to make sure we are safe like other car owners.
I am having trouble with my key in the ignition switch. It comes out of the ignition while the car is in park and the car is still running & it came out once while driving. I can still remove the key in modes other than drive. My key has also gotten stuck in the ignition switch & i have to struggle with the steering wheel, etc to free it and/or tug on the gear shift in order to get the key into the proper position to remove it. One time i thought i would never get it free. Well, regarding the ignition switch issue, i have not seen anything about this being recalled, etc, after doing research on this, but feel this could be serious and i was wondering what do i do next, to find out about this?
Ignition switch ongoing saga. Had the switch replaced 3 times - all at my cost all within one year. Had the key housing replaced a year 1/2 ago - key now hanging up again in the ignition. Last night couldn't remove the key at all and wouldn't be able to move my car. Fortunately happened in my garage and not a parking lot at night where i wouldn't be safe. It's not covered under all of the other known ignition switch recalls
I was driving on the highway going about 65 mph and the car started shaking,brakes. Got really tight car barely wanted to,stop transmissikn was overheating at the same time car wasnt passing second gear everything happened out of nowhere.
I have lived north of des moines for the last few years.i have noticed growing traffic between des moines and ankeny as the areas outside of des moines continue to grow.i have observed a growing problem and i am becoming more and more cautious with road rage drivers.on ne 14th heading north (directly north of the i-80) the left lane merges after the stop light.vehicles will speed through the light and then merge into the right lane to beat the traffic.it would be much safer and it would reduce the road rage drivers/inpatient speeders if you were to merge the lanes before (south) of the light.is this a possibility?
Each time this occurred the vehicle was stationary/being parked, on 6-10 different occasions in the past 2 years, the key has gotten locked tight in the ignition switch.this caused the battery to run down and die on more than a few occasions. Once the key was frozen in place, after the engine was off, the key would not move in any direction and the steering was locked tight unable to move at all, the gear shift column was unable to be put in park.other times the key would just be stuck in the ignition switch and could not be removed, regardless of effort to remove it, also not allowing the vehicle to be place into the gear of park. This problem has cause us to abandon the vehicle more than once, this is dangerous & should be addressed. I see other recalls on other saturn models but not the vue 2007, which does have a defect in this area and needs to be recalled. For the record the car key and the remote are the only things on my key chain, so the weight of the key chain is not the problem. This happened twice in the last 3 weeks.
(motion) (highway at 70mph) cars key slides out of ignition when in the on position. (stationary) (driveway) have had problems starting vehicle, ie. Couldn't get the car to turn over as well as key sticking and being difficult to move - this made me think initially that it was altenator or battery. After letting the car sit a bit, and a lot of wiggling of the key, was finally able to start vehicle. These are the same problem gm had with earlier models and had to make a recall on. Yet there is not recall on the 2007? what happened to safety standards. I have not had it shut off on me while in motion yet. But i would not be surprised.

While passing another car on us 17a with cruise control on, my car continued to accelerate even when i attempted to decrease the speed control and when i turned the cruise control off...depressing the brake pedal slowed the car at the expense of the brake pads...i turned the key switch off.. Pulled off the road restarted the car and the engine over revved and i turned the key off again, attempted to restart again with the same results. Stomped the brakes several times and this time the results were normal. Either the cruise control or accelerator petal or control module i suspect were at fault.....this could have been very bad if we had been in a high traffic condition...
For the past year i have been having a very difficult time inserting the key in the ignition and turning the key to turn on the car. Once i get the key in i have to jiggle it over and over until the key is able to turn. Sometimes it takes me anywhere from 5-15 minutes. However lately when the key is finally in it gets stuck and it does not allow the key to be released leaving me stranded. I also noticed the airbag sensor light turns on and off randomly while i am driving the car and while there is a passenger in the car. My biggest concern is if the airbag fails to deploy in case of an accident. Another concern of mine is that sometimes when i am driving the car it accelerates itself for a moment or two and it is very scary. I am currently unable to drive my car because i am scared, especially because i drive my 5 and 1 year old everyday. I am unable to get the car looked at this time due to financial reasons. My saturn vue is not included in the recall however i really wish it were because all of the problems i am experiencing are very similar to that of the gm vehicles that were recalled. Please investigate the saturn vue 2007 ignition problem, airbag light problem, and accelerating problem. Thank you so much.

My driver side window doesn't go down unless i slam the door.the air bag light on the passenger side goes on when no one is in the passenger seat.sometimes the traction control light will stay on.the check engine light goes on and off at strange times.the oil change light keeps going on when the oil has just been changed.

I bought this 2007 saturn vue v6 awd in july 2012 from brighton ford, brighton minoticed a slight vibration when test driving. Less than a week after i buy it the ac goes out, and the shuttering gets worse.take it back to them to look at and get referred to a tire shop.was told the ac coil hada huge leak, and was probably "topped off" at by the dealer and that there was some tire wear issues.brighton ford refused to fix anything.drive it for about a year the shuttering gets worse and worse take it in to bud kouts chevrolet, lansing, mi for a check engine lightthat came on, it was because of a miss fire in two of the cylinders.told them about the shuttering, was told nothing was wrong.28 days later i have a tire explode, told there was nothing wrong.take it back after finding a huge hole in the shock absorber casing.this time speaking with the dealership owner directly, after two days they finally found the cause of the shuttering,a bad torque converter.they admitted that this is an issue on the these vehicles, but still want about $2000 to fix it.if there is not a recall on this there should be.i will never by a gm made vehicle again.i've owned three now and have had nothing but problems with them.the subaru i owned had well over 200,000 miles and no issues the same goes for a mazda i owned.
Defective wheel bearings. I have replaced the front wheel bearings four times now (each front wheel twice) beginning around 40,000 miles. I currently have a little over 70,000 miles. They could cause a wheel to seize.
